Going through a divorce can be emotionally draining. However, with Ben as my attorney handling everything superbly, I was able to focus on being a mom to my 3 children.

It was a very complex financial case with a very litigious husband of high net worth who was hiding assets. Ben is extremely intelligent, quick-minded, and organized. I had to endure a three year divorce process and learned a lot from it. First and mainly, I should have retained John "Ben" Phillips first off. I had three attorneys prior to retaining Ben and if you combined all three prior attorneys as a team, they could even come close to Ben's expertise in family law matters. The difference between an attorney and a great attorney is a great attorney can get the job done quickly.
Ben is highly organized and he knows the law regarding divorce, child custody and all other aspects of family law. Ben is a great negotiator as well as a great listener. His handling of the division of community assets and child custody issues in my divorce case left me great satisfaction. My retirement funds were a huge concern of mine and through Ben's negotiating skills, provided me with more than favorable results.
No one likes to go through a messy, complicated and emotional divorce. From my experience, I can tell you do not throw money away by just hiring an attorney(s). If you are looking for an attorney who is extremely smart, competent, effective, fair in billing, and empathic to your situation, then Ben is a great choice for your attorney. My divorce was complicated and my ex wanted to fight. Ben was able to keep the focus on the facts and keep track of the vast quantities of paper and rabbit trails that the other side created. He was quite organized and retained the relevant information such that when we finally did get to court, he knew exactly where to go to get the pertinent information/numbers. He did not allow the other side to "bully" me, which in fact they tried. I highly recommend Ben as an excellent lawyer who can handle just about anyone. By the way, don't be misled by his nice smile, young appearance and 6 years in practice... He is smart and he is a fighter!

In my opinion, Gary is the best family attorney in Orange County. Being an attorney myself, I consulted with every big name in town for my divorce. I needed to relocate my kids to Los Angeles and enforce my child support order. Every attorney in town told me it couldn't be done. Except Gary. He did a fantastic job and I was granted the right to move away with my children and ex was held accountable for his failure to pay support including an award of sanctions. Gary really listened to my concerns, kept my expectations reasonable and was fair in his billings. I highly recommend Gary and I am grateful I found him.

Paul was an outstanding listener and always had my best interests in mind. Not only have I used him before for my divorce but now 6 years later I needed his expertise again for another child custody battle because I moved out of county. I know for a fact he saved me a lot of money that most attorneys would have not done. He gave me honest advice and advised me on the things most important to my case and told me the truth on when to fold on issues that I would have lost , saving me from endless attorney fees keeping my cost down . Not only did I win my custody battle but we also went into my ex's income since it had been 6 years since we divorced. Not only did I get to live out of county but I also receive 600 more a month for child support because my ex husband's income had nearly doubled since our divorce . He also had to pay half my attorney fees which was fantastic!

Paul was a professional, thorough, and effective attorney. I had a multi-year, very complex divorce process. Almost everything that could have happened did, complete with contested child support payments, alimony, custody rights, division of assets settlement, mediation, depositions, and eventually hearings/litigation and a CA 730 evaluation. Throughout the stressful process, Paul and his colleagues carefully guided me through the relevant aspects of CA family law, what I needed to do and not do, and prepared me for success. Paul was particularly good at attention to detail and to ensure that all the required documents were prepared on time and in manner that the judge needed. Paul was also very cost conscious, helping me to minimize costs by gathering all the background material, evidence necessary and then formatting it for success.
Paul was also regularly reachable. Unlike other family law attorneys who either do not use (or know how) to use email and return calls on a timely manner, Paul quickly replied to me particularly during a few urgent issues that arose related with my ex actions.
Ultimately I had a good outcome on all matters related to my divorce. There were times we disagreed on approach and strategy, but ultimately he allowed me for my voice and desires to be heard in a way that would be effective in the court process. He also was a good human being and tried hard to reach out to opposing counsel to see is settlement was possible. I really felt he cared about me, my kids welfare, and getting to an end quickly and not just about getting fees from me. Speaking with my friends, I have found this rare. Overall a very strong and positive endorsement. I have referred both female and male friends who are going through a divorce to Paul.

My experience with Denise Vatani Heinz was nothing less than perfection. When dealing with a heated child support issue, Denise diligently discussed my options, created a game plan and moved forward with ease. My divorce was fairly complicated and Denise and her team were a tremendous help during a very challenging process. She kept things moving along - even if she had to drag information out of me. The first thing to note about Mr. Bayati is that he is an honest and ethical attorney. Anyone who has dealt with one that was not would likely understand why this quality is very important when seeking to hire counsel. He charges a fair fee for quality work and seeks to minimize costs where possible. With that box checked, the next thing to note is that Mr. Bayati is sharp and knows the law exceptionally well. He is very familiar with Court processes in Orange County and the judges that administer them. He has a good network of specialist attorneys he can count on as well if anything falls outside of his substantial area of expertise. He has a good demeanor and presence, particularly on video calls with the Court during the pandemic. He is practical and looks for reasonable solutions acceptable to both sides when that is an option, but can be tough when the situation calls for it. Overall he is an excellent choice for a family law attorney. He helped me a great deal with a very complex custody case and I would highly recommend him.

Brian Bayati is the BEST attorney out there! Trust me; I interviewed many attorneys before selecting Mr. Bayati to represent me. I had already gone through two attorneys and my stress level was high and I was emotional when I met Mr. Bayati.
