Mr. Timmins was amazing at assisting us with legal documents regarding my elderly grandparents. I've had to good fortune to know Parker since she was recommended to me during my divorce some 20 years ago. Through the years, we've stayed in touch, and I have recommended her to numerous friends in need of help with divorce or adoption. Hands down, Parker is one of the best family practice attorneys in the region. As impressive as her command of the legal ins and outs of divorce, what I found - and still find - most impressive is her command of how to manage the emotional aspects of divorce (especially when children are involved as was the case with my case) with the negotiation strategies that's needed. Parker's advice was spot on about when, what and how I should advocate for myself, and her focus on the long term picture helped me navigate the short-term emotional mess when a marriage dissolves. When I felt indignant or angry over a counter-offer about some minor debt my "future former" and I shared, Parker wisely counseled, "Roger, in the long run this is pocket change. It's not worth the fight because there are more important issues for us to take a stand on."
And she was right. Years later that advice to focus on what's really important in the long-run (that helped design a fair separation agreement that didn't engender long-term resentment) helped us work through a particularly thorny financial issue. And Parker was there right by my side again offering just the right guidance to help me come out of that negotiation (we were able to avoid court, thankfully) in a = good place. Moreover, Parker went out of her way to help keep my legal costs to a minimum.
Parker's a great attorney, a great individual and I'm proud to say a great friend. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

I met with Brittany to get a divorce when I wasn't sure what I was going to do because I have several children and didn't want them to get seperated from me. I didn't know how much she was going to cost me because I have heard a lot of attorneys charge a lot of money and she never pressured me to pay anything and told me just to take some time to think about everything that she told me and if it was what I really wanted to do. She was very honest and was very thoughtful and nice and I felt like she really listened to me and wanted to help me even when she said there were some things that she couldn't do or that weren't allowed by the judges. I decided not to seperate right now because of my kids but if I do in the future she is definetely the attorney that I will use. I really liked talking to her and it was very rellieving.

When I contacted Passenant & Shearin Law I was trying to do division of martial property process on my own due to financial issues after a very difficult divorce. It is very difficult to do on your own. I felt awkward about everything I was going through and not realizing how hard it was to do on my own. I contacted the office through email and they immediately respond back to me within 12 hours and started working on the case right away. The ladies did not judge make me feel uncomfortable about my situation and they was very honest about the whole case from beginning to end. They did not make me feel like I was just a client they made me feel like I was part of the team being available anytime of the day or night. They work so well to together as a team and communicated with each other to the point if I contacted the office all the staff could assist me with any question. They kept me informed with all document and contact with the ex attorney.
I felt very secure with their law firm cause they was very knowledgeable about my whole case, being honest and upfront from the beginning gave a sense of comfort. It has taken me a while to get my thoughts on how best to write a review for a situation that was less than pleasant. I consulted with a couple of attorneys in the summer of 2016, when divorce reared its ugly head into my life. I instantly felt comfortable with Ryan. He was down to earth, and seemed to “understand” where I was coming from. I know that attorneys do try to “sell” their services by agreeing with you and telling you that they will be the best and get you everything you want in a divorce situation, but this simply isn’t true. Ryan didn’t over promise. The very first consultation, he told me what he thought about my situation, and didn’t promise me the world. He was up front and honest. I know most people do not think of the words honesty and attorneys/lawyers in the same sentence, but he didn’t try to sell himself to me. I appreciated this. I was in a weird state at the time, and definitely didn’t need to hear things that weren’t true (honestly, I had enough of that in my marriage). Anyway, he explained everything every step of the way. He never told me that I was calling or emailing too much, and trust me when I say, I emailed a lot. I emailed him a whole 10 page document of the situation and the past, and why I think things happened in my divorce the way they did. This information was probably not relevant to the “case”, but it was most definitely relevant to my life, and I felt like my attorney needed to know the whole story. He never once told me that I was giving him too much information, or to send it to his staff. I never felt like I was bothering him too much, and when I called “freaking” out about something that I received in the mail, he never once told me that I was over reacting or it was something I shouldn’t worry about. When it comes to my kids, there is always worry, and he understood that.
His staff is amazing and very easy to contact either through email or phone. In the court room Ryan fought for me. We got the best possible outcome for my situation. I am thankful to him as I am not sure had I chosen a different attorney that they would have understood me as well, or understood what I was looking for in the outcome. I am not sure the outcome would have been in my favor, had I chosen someone else. He knew my situation and my story in and out.
My divorce is final and custody is final and equitable distribution is final, but in most custody cases, it is never FINAL. I am sure that my ex will file for more custody/visitation, and I will have to go back to court, and even though this chapter of my life is over, I know that Ryan will be there if I need him in the future.

Senior attorney, Clarke Dummit is an amazingly sweet, considerate, thorough, direct, and well-rounded attorney. I went to him for a consultation and he answered all of my questions himself. Andrew is an extremely effective attorney. I started out with a different attorney for my difficult child custody case. I did not feel that my prior attorney had my best interest in mind and was doing only the bare minimum in preparing my case. I decided to seek other representation.
I hired Andrew very late in the process, with my TPA hearing only 2 weeks away. Andrew was able to put together a very solid and sensible case based on the facts, far superior to what was done previously for me.
Right away, I noticed a dramatic difference in the way Andrew was handling and preparing my case, compared to my previous attorney. I was extremely impressed with how quickly Andrew got up to speed and reviewed/prepared all of the evidence in such a short amount of time. He is organized and stays on top of everything. In addition, he made himself very available to me, whether it was just questions I had, or any concerns or updates that I needed to know. He continued to work diligently throughout the entire weekend prior to my hearing.
Andrew has a unique ability to look at the facts, makes sense of your case, and then present them in a very intelligent and articulate way. Andrew is the entire reason I now have joint custody of my 4-month-old son and that he is being returned to his home state.
I am immensely grateful to Andrew for his hard work in fighting for my rights as a father. I absolutely recommend Andrew as an attorney. My only regret is that I did not find Andrew initially. Andrew has been a huge blessing and supporter in my case! I spoke to him in a consultation a couple of months prior to my separation and he took his time and listened and took notes of everything that I said to him. After speaking with him, I knew immediately that he was who I wanted to represent me if I needed him ( I had spoken to 3 other attorneys prior to meeting Andrew). Shortly after my separation, I had papers served to me from my ex to try and get full custody of our daughter. I was devastated, hurt and in disbelief that my ex would ever do something like this. In my custody/visitation battle, I've been through 2 lawyers 6K in addition to paying child support without even knowing what state my daughter was in. Some attorneys give you false hope in getting custody when others just try to find a way to charge you the most money. Before Hanna Bell, I had not seen my daughter in almost a year even though a court order for my visitation rights was in place.
