Mollie and her staff are what we call a force to reckon with. They work as a team to provide clients the results they need. I am so, so, so grateful for Mollie. From day one, I knew she was the lawyer for me. I went in for child custody matters and she listened and jot down every concern or question I had. She would break down every legal term in the lengthy and complicated custody order so that I would understand what was written. What I adore about her is her attention to detail. She asked if I had any questions and she would explained every step of process that she took to ensure we were on the same page and made sure that I was satisfied with each decision. She is a skilled negotiator who kept my best interest at heart for my child and to benefit me having the time with my child while moving across state for military relocation. I first met Dawn a few months ago. My case involves separation, child custody, and soon to be divorce. After first reviewing my case she hit the ground running. She informed me of all my options and remained flexible while I made my decision on what course I wanted to take. Even when the opposing counsel attempted to claim constitutional grievances against me, she remained calm and professional. She cited how the opposing counsel was incorrect in their allegations and the judge had grievances thrown out. While Dawn has not been practicing law for several years, she has the knowledge of an attorney who has been practicing for over 20. Along with her vast knowledge, she has the passion and drive of a junior lawyer who thrives on success. You can see that she truly cares about your case and will work very hard to obtain the best possible outcome. She is a true professional and respects the attorney/client relationship. However, you do not get that feeling that it is just about the exchange money like you get with other lawyers. It almost feels like a friendship with you both working to the common goal. I would highly recommend her to handle any case that someone might have.

I was told about Sandra Watts by some friends who had used her as their lawyer and were very pleased with her. I am Latino and was very nervous about going to a lawyer, but I needed help with my dads estate. Ms. watts gave me great legal advice and council. Mariana has represented me for almost a decade starting with my separation in 2013. Unfortunately, I’ve needed her assistance navigating a difficult physical and legal joint custody of 4 children ever since. We’ve been through 2 parental coordinators (do not recommend), mediation, custody modifications and addendums, depositions of my ex and his multiple live in girlfriends (my personal favorite strategy), police and CPS involvement and attempted restraining orders. Much more but after awhile it’s just embarrassing.
Mariana has a good memory for my case which is super thick at this point. She once read 8 years of our family wizard emails before a deposition. Mariana has a good working relationship with her industry colleagues (when my ex hires and fires new attorneys Mariana gets them up to speed). Mariana is logical and non reactive. She thinks in terms of moves and counter moves.
If you are looking for revenge and want a man hating bulldog that will bury your opposition in motions and BS I would keep looking. Marina isn’t going to be your big sister, BFF or your therapist and charge you for it. If you want a thoughtful, smart, and responsive attorney that will represent your interests she’s a good person to have in your corner.

There is not enough room on this review to point out all the ways Mariana Godwin exceeded my expectations!
I am the father of a 6 year old girl, whose mother decided to cut me out of her life. For months, she did not allow me to have any communication, or visits with my daughter.
Mariana proceeded through the custody process extremely efficiently. All the email, calls, and discussions were extremely productive and led to a very strong case in court. Mariana is caring, extremely responsive (a rare trait in attorneys, i find), smart, well connected, and delivers results. More importantly, she is also very good at setting realistic expectations and wading through her client's emotions to tease out the facts and usable information. She prepared me well for my court date, always explained each step of the process very clearly, and made sure I was aware of all possible outcomes at all times (which greatly reduces surprises in an already emotionally difficult time).
In a scary and emotional time for me, Mariana provided guidance and results at lighting speed. The court awarded me more than I had hoped for, and I could not be any happier.
Some people are just excellent at their jobs-Mariana is one of them. You cannot go wrong with hiring her as to represent you in your family matter. It literally changed my life, and my daughter's.

My issue was a traffic violation I could have really taken a hit for, One phone call to this firm solved my problem. In less than 5 min, I had and finished the necessary paperwork (which they sent to do online), paid fees (over the phone), and that was it. Problem solved. They took care of everything. I didn't have to miss work, make phone calls, etc. Results were as as promised and in my favor. Surprisingly easy and very effective. Though I hope not to need legal help again, if I do, this is my go to for sure.

David Holm represented me two years ago during my divorce, his services were outstanding. He and his team were professional, exacting, prompt, and, at the same time, very approachable and made themselves available to answer questions or provide news on progress during this process. Dave was very clear in describing how the process would play out, from the custody arrangement to the equitable distribution to the eventual signing and filing of the divorce papers, and very astute in outlining a strategy that would best insure a positive outcome for both me and my daughter.

I had hired attorney Andrew Wigmore to help with a custody case. It was an almost three year battle. He was there every step of the way. He told me what to expect. These things get ugly. He was right. He was super knowledgeable. He made sure we were beyond prepared for everything. He has over 25 years of experience. He always answered my questions or concerns promptly. I retained Mr. Wigmore after a dispute with my father's child which had me feeling helpless. We had no previous agreement written and I was blindsided. Mr. Wigmore and his office staff went above and beyond to answer my questions and help me through out this process. Mr. Wigmore went to court and settled everything for me in a speedy manner, and I have not had any issues since. A few months after the case was closed I received a speeding ticket and Mr. Wigmore was my first call! Again his office handled the ticket without an issue and for a fair price! Mary was very direct and clear about her recommendations, but was also willing to do whatever I asked during a very complicated custody, equitable distribution and divorce process. She was supportive and has a great sense of humor. She has good relationships with her legal counterparts, which ultimately makes the most difference in and out of court. Wendy was also very responsive and helpful. Since this was a complex case, there were some things that did not turn out as expected, but Mary and Wendy were always upfront with me and walked through what the next steps would be. The only feedback for improvement would be occasionally administrative things were a little disorganized (for instance forgetting to correct errors in paperwork, disposing of the wrong document, having to do some things while I waited rather than having it ready), but there was nothing that impacted the case negatively. Overall, they took care of whatever needed to happen and made sure my best interests were covered.

I do not usually write reviews; however, I would like to say that I am extremely pleased to have hired Michelle Jerome as my attorney. She is an extraordinarily compassionate and motivated lawyer, in addition to being incredibly approachable. When I had been served with completely baseless charges and allegations, I consulted with several legal firms in the New Bern area. I then presented my legal issues to Ms. Jerome. She, unlike the other attorneys I had consulted with, actually took the time to listen to my legal issues, as well as the lengthy chain of events which led to the unfortunate situation at hand. She was extremely zealous in defending my case in order to protect not only my reputation, but also my career, my home and my property, but most importantly, ensuring the welfare of my child. Despite her busy schedule, Ms. Jerome made time for me on quite short notice; as I was given very little time to prepare for the legal proceedings brought against me. She also took the time to listen to the concerns of my teenage daughter. My daughter found Ms. Jerome to be very easy to talk to, as she managed to assuage my child's fears and anxiousness; something that I was unable to do in such exceedingly troubling times. Ms. Jerome managed to resolve my case very favorably, and more importantly, without impact to my reputation, career, home or property, along with protecting the welfare of my daughter. Initially, I was very nervous about choosing an attorney. However, my first (no commitment) meeting with a McIlveen attorney in July 2015 was pretty satisfactory. Last week we had our mediation which wrapped up all the loose ends and I think the final deal was fair to both parties. Alan is a sophisticated professional. Wow, did I say wow?!!!! He will tell you up front EXACTLY what will happen with your case. Also known as the truth, which (by the way you probably already know.) My advise is to just let him do his job -that he is more than capable of doing. Don't ask too many questions or get yourself worked up. First time divorcee... What a difficult experience. I chose Katherine's firm because she was incredibly astute - immediately understood my primary goal was to have a civilized dissolution of my marriage. Life is way too short to get caught up in years of turmoil, hatred and ugliness for the sake of money... but that's just me. Regardless, Katherine was always right on point, doing her job to protect me and my future interests, while not "stirring the pot" in a negative way. I would fully trust her to execute an equally ugly, contentious legal matter because I always felt as though she was right on top of things, and more importantly on top of the law. All I can say is that I can't recommend her more highly... And don't forget the rest of the team, this isn't a "one woman show" - Tahani and others had been right in the midst and always on top of things, pleasant to work with and timely in every way. Katherine is smart, knows the law, and is both tenacious and fair. I was involved in litigation in another state and hired Katherine to represent me in NC. I shared legal documents from the other lawyer with her and she found a huge mistake in his draft settlement offer that would have cost me a tremendous amount. After that, I had her look at everything and she steered me through very tough negotiations with a deft and tough approach that resulted in a good settlement for me. Mr. Fowler talked to me twice on the telephone probably 30 minutes each time after wife,s passing to help me with estate questions, when I finally received the Death Certificate I decided to stop by his office and and talk to him in person, Mr. Fowler invited me in and we talked at least an hour and 1/2 to 2 hours without charging me, He was more than very understanding of my situation and went out of his way to help me, He was very informative on what i can do to save myself some money and also what he can do as my Attorney. Mr. Fowler is a very down to earth person actually looking to help people with their problems who walk into his office. near the end of our talking i told him I would go down to the court house tomorrow and get the self help packets he told me about I would need to start the process for administrator ,This is one of the amazing parts I got a call about 45 minutes after leaving his office and it was Mr. Fowler telling me he had paperwork to drop off at the courthouse and that he had picked up the packets I needed while he was there and I could meet him at the home depot right then to get them if I wanted to get started on my applications. That worked out great and saved me a trip downtown.. There are a lot of single words I have seen on reviews to describe Mr. Fowler, but for me it felt like instant friendship..
