When I filed for divorce, I had no idea what I was getting into. I'm so glad I had the team at Coast Family Law to guide me and help me get the fair settlement I deserved. An agreement with an attorney in the office of Mayor Law was signed 2022-Oct giving Mayor Law proof of representation in an auto claim. Officially PIP was exhausted 25 April 2024. May 16 the attorney received digitally all payments; bills, notes, coding. At that time we should have sent the demand letter. I waited until July 4, 2024, contacted her, accepting the $3000 offer from April. I signed an agreement 29-July-2024. She received $3870 for costs and fees. I contacted her August 20 asking when I would get the settlement. She had been waiting on Progressive to update the Medicare liability section. She told me she still needed lien information on Medicaid, DHS, Medicare, and Med Advantage - and the 3 small businesses that treated me. I was 7 hours on the phone 20-23 August 2024 to contact insurances about liens on the settlement $3000: Medicare over the phone told me there was no lien (2nd payor and there was no hospitalization ZERO came in the mail today 9/9/2024). I called and got the procedure and fax number to Recovery for Mayor Law. Email attached attorney requesting I provide all Providence visits, summaries, billing. Attached ZERO owing PHP. DHS Medicaid (they faxed info right away which could have taken a month) in response to long email that EOB shows owing. My 3 small business folk who only take cash unless it was PIP were asked to provide the same information already given by my insurance carrier on May 16 to the attorney. 9/6/2024 Friday I received call stating the duo Advantage and Medicaid for medicare members NEVER create liens but would reversed to provider. Received a lien for $11.08 for xray would be paid correctly if Ayin Health Solutions would submit through Providence and Medicaid. Seems Mayor Law made a deal to pay 11.08 out of settlement without first notifying me! I have to deal with an attorney that would do that! HOW come they continue to argue they are still searching for a lien to take out of the settlement. It gives me the creeps. Ayin Health Solutions understood the attorney did not do the research before negotiating the cost to be 11.08 for the xray. They are voiding the lien today with Phia Group LISTEN. Mayor Law did not do the work she agreed to and I was on the phone 7 hours beginning it. Mayor Law is taking the 11.08 out of settlement anyway! Trashy company.

This law office has a reputation for weaponizing the discovery process, which will be unnecessarily expensive for both parties. It is possible they will cut and run once they have made a set amount from their client, and before going to court and risking losing their case based on unfounded nonsense.

All around unprofessional and a complete waste of time and money. Waited months for information that never came and follow ups were ignored. Then was told I would have to pay another consultation fee for the information I was supposed to be given after the first paid consultation. What a joke. Good luck to anyone using this office.

I am a retired businessman. Robert Scherzer is the worst employee ever. Robert Scherzer heads my list, as the most horrible person I can imagine hiring, to represent me in a legal matter. Early on, in my custody hearing, Robert complained that he doesn't sleep well at night. I figured out his problem. He doesn't sleep well at night because he sleeps all day in court. I also asked him if he would take my direction and ask the questions that I wanted him to ask. He agreed, but failed miserably. Despite his encouragement, that I had a 75 to 85% chance of victory, he lost. Then, he informed me that WE may have left ourselves open to some opposition attorney fees. I am thankful that I fired him and represented myself, in the attorney fee hearing. I think I was infinitely more convincing than he would have been and was able to limit my losses. After this debacle, I asked my 90 year old mother to describe Robert Scherzer's performance. Her one word response was "PANIC". I completely agree. I also sincerely accuse him of excessive billing, for his ridiculously poor services. No stars! Refund owed! Richard

Robert is the best attorney you could possibly hire. He is compassionate, empathetic, a great listener, and very calm. My case was very complicated and there was only one case in the entire country that paralleled that of mine. He researched and consulted with many attorneys as well as constantly keeping me abroad of our circumstances. He is kind and knowledgeable and fought for me every single minute of every single day. I would not wish divorce on anyone, but if you find yourself in that situation, Robert is the one you want to go to. He is very well respected By his colleagues and even fellow divorce attorneys. And his assistant, Kelli is as equally kind and compassionate. If Robert were not my attorney, he would be my friend. Well, I will actually consider him my friend. Because he helped me turn the worst situation of my life into something I can cope with.

I retained Robert in January 2016 to help me win custody and as much parenting time possible of my young son. We've been working together over a year now, and I can't imagine having any other attorney on my team. From the start Robert encouraged me to take the high road against my ex-husband. Our legal strategy focused on how I had always been and would continue to be the primary parent, and not on debasing my ex-husband. This felt good to me because it honored my ex-husband's role in my son's life and was consistent with my personal values. We stayed the course over 12 months, through hearings and a deposition and finally 3 days of trial. Robert's calm and thoughtful legal advice never wavered from our initial strategy, and it was clear to me from the judge's response and verdict that it was the right strategy. We did win everything we asked for, and I am eternally grateful that Robert was my attorney in this case. I still call him to talk through challenging situations with my ex-husband, and always feel better after I do.

If I could've given him no stars I would have. Ryan was hired by my niece for a custody battle she was going thru. After stating the case was "a slam dunk case" she ended up losing ALL custody, was ordered to pay child support and secure life insurance. The judgement has ripped my family apart and now we have to pay even MORE money to another attorney to appeal to even attempt to somehow get this reversed. Horrible, gutless, UNPREPARED and more concerned about getting back to his wife's fundraiser than concentrating on our case. He should've told us to bring the child with us and put a bow on her before we turned her over to the other side. That's how bad of a job he did. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE, do not hire this incompetent man. I am going to blast this wherever I can.

He never once supported my positions, and encouraged me to take all of her offers. I went into court to solve some coparenting issues and ended up losing my joint custody. Steer clear, at least if you are a father.

I purchased property in Tillamook County in 2016 that was reported as 10 + acres. All tax records indicated 10 + acres. After 2 years my Co. tax assessment claimed I owned 8 acres. Upon review and checking dimensions that concurred I did in fact own 10+ acres. Upon consulting Zupanic Law a $2500 retainer was required, no problem. I was disappointed that there was no contact with Tillamook County to address my situation by my Attorney and the response I received from Zupanic Law was the land description did not add up. There was no visit to the property or no visit from Zupanic.. never even met the guy, and $1300 later I was SOL.

*Note all previous reviews were written within days July / early August of 2013. Very legit. If you dont mind your attorney being RUDE and helping you be FRAMED, showing up in court high and filing dics to have clients ARRESTED after making a court date then just move along. Fraud is normal? She gets paid to defend people from their accusers but if she does not like you then she will have you ARRESTED to win points with coworkers, retaliate against complainants and discredit any accusers of malpractice. Malpractice. She exposed clients to covid and incarceration on her OWN initiative. She should not be an attorney. She should not be paid by taxpayers. She is the hypocritical ilk of her client base and i wish her the very best in her recovery but sending clients to JAIL because she "doesnt like their attitude" makes her a criminal.

Since then, she will spontaneously drop me a line with new information she has found that's relevant to the issues in which she represents me. Louis and I both put hard work into my case, and while much of the work was not needed, I still think he deserves a good review. Louis was easy to communicate with when it came down to the wire and helped set a lot of my anxieties at ease. No one likes dealing with the court system, but if you have to make sure you have someone like Louis by your side.

I have Louis as my attorney since 2006 . He dose great work for me .He is just a phone call away or a text. Text is usually best for Louis tho because he is always in court or on the phone fighting your case.I have always side this from the very first time i had Louis as my attorney for a parenting plane case. I had an unfortunate experience with this firm. I paid $325 for a consultation with attorney Maryanne Pitcher, but after waiting over an hour, I ended up meeting with someone else who left their firm shortly after. This individual requested an additional retainer fee, despite the fact that I had not received the initial consultation as promised. When I raised my concerns about not having met with Maryanne, my case was dismissed. I find this situation to be quite disappointing and believe it is important to bring attention to it, so others may be aware of my experience. I intend to take steps to ensure accountability with the state board on their dishonesty.

I payed 5k for help in my divorce case. They showed up to court once and then dropped me after they said I was gonna lose my case. I had cops and dhs backing me up and they did nothing. They then filed stuff on my behalf after dropping me and changed me for 3k. They then sued me and I didn't know I even had to go to court because they sent it to my old address... they are a scam and I hope they get shut down.

Bad service. Will cancel your appointment after waiting for weeks to tell you they can’t take your case. Everyone is clueless and aren’t able to provide any information. Unacceptable for anyone to go through this after depending on them and assuming they would see you. Do not recommend this place for anyone.

I retained (McKean Smith) Annelisa's services the day I met her for initial consultation. She was referred to me by a common friend. Annelisa worked with me from start to finish on my divorce, to end my 21 years of marriage, that should've been settled amicably from the get-go, as all I wanted was for there to be no disruption to my kids' (2 teens) lives at home from the parenting plan, and I was ready to give up my house, and 100% child support, and allow both kids to stay with their mother 24/7 for that, with me visiting kids at their home only to care for them when they wanted me to, no different than our usual routine. Yet, somehow conspiracies prevailed and it ended up as a contested divorce that dragged on for over a year, with me having to defend against numerous baseless accusations. It was a real life nightmare to say the least, but fortunately I had my kids and the truth to bank on, and had all the documented evidence needed to fend off every single unfounded accusation, and that's all Annelisa needed to get me the exact results I wanted, with the only difference being that instead of my kids living with their mother in the home 24/7 I now have sole custody of both my kids and they now live with me in the house 24/7, with zero disruption to their lives from the divorce. Annelisa will fight for you and get you the results you deserve. She is very busy, but made time for a 1 on 1 meeting anytime I felt the need for some assurance. Heather, the paralegal, was also very pleasant to work with, and was prompt at responding to my questions. I retained (McKean Smith) Annelisa's services the day I met her for initial consultation. She was referred to me by a common friend. Annelisa worked with me from start to finish on my divorce, to end my 21 years of marriage, that should've been settled amicably from the get-go, as all I wanted was for there to be no disruption to my kids' (2 teens) lives at home from the parenting plan, and I was ready to give up my house, and 100% child support, and allow both kids to stay with their mother 24/7 for that, with me visiting kids at their home only to care for them when they wanted me to, no different than our usual routine. Yet, somehow conspiracies prevailed and it ended up as a contested divorce that dragged on for over a year, with me having to defend against numerous baseless accusations. It was a real life nightmare to say the least, but fortunately I had my kids and the truth to bank on, and had all the documented evidence needed to fend off every single unfounded accusation, and that's all Annelisa needed to get me the exact results I wanted, with the only difference being that instead of my kids living with their mother in the home 24/7 I now have sole custody of both my kids and they now live with me in the house 24/7, with zero disruption to their lives from the divorce. Annelisa will fight for you and get you the results you deserve. She is very busy, but made time for a 1 on 1 meeting anytime I felt the need for some assurance. Heather, the paralegal, was also very pleasant to work with, and was prompt at responding to my questions. In court, at status check meetings, Annelisa was very clear and concise in her choice of words, and spoke with full confidence, no matter what cheap tactics the opposing counsel used in front of the judge to try to scare me. Annelisa has the experience, is very skilled in her profession, and is very honest and upfront about the possible outcomes. Each time I felt drained and wanted to discuss updates and meet with Annelisa, I left feeling assured and confident that she will get me the best result possible. At one point I felt so frustrated and drained from dealing with the contested divorce that I was willing to give in to all the demands from the opposing party, but Annelisa advised me why that was not a good option, and boy am I glad I listened to her! Annelisa doesn't play any games with the opposing party. She is very straightforward and deals with the opposing party in a very professional manner, and will get you the best results you deserve. For me, that was zero disruption to my kids' lives at home after divorce, and that's exactly what she delivered. My 2 teens are now living with me in my house 24/7, and my life with my kids is as good as it can get... very much at peace! One other thing that stood out in my interactions with Annelisa is that she was always conscious of my financial constraints and questioned the need whenever I requested a 1 on 1 meeting, warned me about additional cost when discussing independent 3rd party services, suggested alternatives to getting the same outcome as a trial, without actually taking it to trial, and even worked with the opposing counsel and the judge to minimize my costs by avoiding certain in-person meetings when the divorce was being finalized. If you have the truth and facts on your side, and anticipate a contested divorce, retaining the services of McKean Smith could end up being the best decision you make. It was for me!

What I appreciated most about Leonard was his willingness to listen to us: the information we had to offer, our insight into the situation, and our suggestions. He was always very prompt in his replies! By considering our input, Leonard was able to help us focus on what was important from a legal perspective, then he formulated a unique strategy for dealing with our specific situation. Hiring a lawyer is an expensive proposition, so you want to be sure that your money is well spent. I can honestly say that ours was!

Leonard Williamson has represented me twice now— once for a personal matter, once for a business matter, quite successfully both times. I sincerely appreciate his direct, straightforward style of communication. He told me what we could do, what we could not do, and helped manage realistic expectations and outcome. His legal staff is highly communicative and competent. His billing was reasonable; I never felt like he was disrespectful with my time or my money. Mr. Van Ness, is not my attorney, however right at this very moment he has over $60,000, that belongs to me and he refuses to answer when I calls, won't return calls from messages I've left and won't reply to emails! After reading the below reviews, I wouldn't recommend him to anyone simply based on how I'm being treated (as an non-client that he's just holding money up from) and I happen to know he's overpriced (I've seen the charges!).

When it came time to call around for divorce attorneys, they all had a relatively common refrain: essentially, "abandon all hope and resign yourself to eternal suffering--you're ****ed." With the notable exception of Jessy from Hotley Law! When Jessy returned my call, she came PREPARED. Wantedall the details, listened extremely attentively, and laid out what the legal strategy, costs, benefits, etc were in proceeding. I can't thank Jessy and Solveig from Hotley Law enough. They handled all my questions, took care of the paperwork and any potential loose ends, and turned, well, let's be honest, a not-so-great experience into a 5-star one! For reals, thank you to Jessy, Solveig, and the team at Hotley Law from me and my kid for helping us get past this chapter and onto to the rest of our lives.

Andy Newsom and Jessy Morris have helped tremendously with a very complex high stake, high emotion divorce and appeal case. They have been extremely kind, patient, thorough and realistic. I am beyond thankful for Michael Schaffer and his paralegal assistant, Amy. Michael went above and beyond, every time. He always kept me grounded by being honest, and gave me the strength to keep going. He’s kind and thoughtful of everyone who is involved. I have always appreciated his honesty and his perspective. John is an incredible attorney. He is dedicated, punctual, professional, and aggressive. He is one of a kind. He told me to trust his process and I am so thankful for him. Not only for his work, but the reassurance and guidance. He genuinely cares and shows it. He will not give you false hope and lays everything out. I was referred to John by a co-worker, and after my initial consultation I knew he was the attorney for the job. John is a fantastic lawyer who is extremely knowledgeable, and communicated every step of the process to keep myself prepared for what was ahead. I felt that my problems were now his problems. He was able to get my kids out of the awful living situation they were in while living in another state and into my custody when the services in that state failed to ensure my kid’s safety. He was relentless when the other party thought they could weasel their way out of the situation. He is no nonsense and to the point, and you will truly believe he is out for your best interest in both the situation and financially. I am so thankful for John, and would recommend him to anyone who is looking for an attorney to represent them.

I have used Mr. Woodworth a couple of times on landlord/tenant cases. He was amazing to say the least. The only person in the world that i know that has left my husband wanting to cry when he left his office lol. He is 100% straight forward and knows the law like the back of his hand. Sadly he no longer practices Landlord Tenant Law any more cuz i could sure use him right now.

Excellent Lawyer! Laurel Hook will definitely take care of you during a very difficult time in your life along with your family dynamics changing. - She along with her team are absolutely amazing! She definitely knows the intricacies of the divorce laws and is there to represent you to the fullest. She talked me off of ledges on many occasions, I came into her office terrified of filing for divorce but knew I had to and she walked me thru a very complicated process paying attention to so many details, I had no clue about. She explained her strategies to me in ways I completely understood and felt comfortable with. I finalized my divorce with confidence due to her support and knowledge. Mold in several coffee cups on her desk. Was told to wait while she investigated future Disneyland Deals. Speaks loudly about her clients to others. Please see her revocation with Oregon DOJ for the same reasons... A conflict of interest in the court system.. Paid thousand of dollars, never a show in court.

I hired Lisa to represent me in my divorce. The circumstances in my case were probably the hardest that a lawyer can deal with. Specifically, my ex wife was abusive and extremely mentally ill. Without Lisa, I do not believe my children would be in a safe place right now. She was honest and forthcoming about my advantages, weak points, and things to consider. She was not afraid to tell me when I was wrong, which should be appreciated in cases like this. The divorce was long and drawn out, 15 months. During that time, Lisa was patient with my stress, and always answered questions in a timely manner. If you want a lawyer with integrity and honesty, but also knows how to win, you would do well to hire Lisa. There is not enough gratitude in the world for me to express just what she has done for my children and me.

Very happy to have used Gregory Gudger for my recent divorce. These things are tough for everyone, and Greg stayed focused and was extremely helpful in helping me craft a fair, equitable, and compassionate settlement...for both parties. I know that my ex-spouse would also agree with this assessment. Even though it was a non-contested proceeding, there were still a lot of moving parts that had to be dealt with, and I wanted someone who would help me make the outcome fair for us both. My ex and I are still great friends, our new lives as seperate people are working out great, and I owe Gregory's sage advice a great deal of the credit for making this happen. Side note: My will also had to be re-written after the divorce, which I was able to sail through with Gregory's help. Done and done. I highly recommend Mr Gudger, if you're looking for a committed, fair, knowledgeable attorney who will listen generously and advise honestly!

Our family has relied on Mr. Gudger for most of our legal needs, from fighting housing related issues to creditor lawsuits. Mr. Gudger took on an old creditor that tried to take everything we own. He found a loophole had the lawsuit dismissed, saving us $100,000. The investment we made with Mr. Gudger was worth it. And, over the years, he has advised us with positive results. No lawyers are perfect, though some might think they are. Sometimes you have to pay to find out there's nothing you can really do. But, even that advise is valuable. I refer Mr. Gudger whenever I can and have recently sent two friends to consult with him. He's accessible, down to earth and is a fighter. I'll go into court with Mr. Gudger any day.

In the eleven month period of Mr. Gudger as my attorney I'm in the same place as I was at the beginning of my child custody case. Mr. Gudger was at first, for a couple of months in seemingly helpful, yet there were things that just didn't seem accurate that he was telling me around my case. He didn't seem to know my case, or my name even, until I was beginning to show frustration from me leaving voice mails when he was not in and it would take days to finally reach him. He did not provide me with monthly invoices for services rendered, instead it was a telephone call requesting more funds but to no explanation of what for. I personally felt no reassurance for the last six months of mr. Gudger as my attorney. He failed to provide, a note of leaving my case of any kind yet he insisted he was no longer my attorney. I came to him in hopes of some justice to my case . I am still scheduled in court in January with him as my attorney but to my surprise he let me go with not so much as a phone call, email or written statement. I also paid a deposit for a court session to mr. Gudger for a court appearance that never happened which he just kept, and now he doesn't respond to my phone calls or emails.

I want to start by saying I didn't hire this attorney. I could not make it to that point because she kept cutting me off and was in a hurry. I realize people are busy and do not want to give their time for free but you cannot hire an attorney if they are not willing to know what you're calling about. Its apparently all about money with this person and not helping you through your legal issue.

Ryan is literally the worst Attorney I have ever delt with. He lied to me multiple times. He threatened to resign if I did not agree to the horrible stripped down parenting plan that he negtotiated behind my back. Anytime throughout the case If i did not do exactly what he "advised" me to do, he threatened to resign. He did this the day before my trial, which I have since learned is extremely unethical on his part. I didn't know 24 hours before my trial that I could dismiss him and seek new and effective Counsel. Ryan rushed through my case in Court and did nothing to adress all the false and nasty claims by my Ex and her Attorney. Ryan absoutley guaranteed me that I would not have to pay child support. He did this in his office the morning of the trial with my 28 year old Son standing right next to me. When I reminded Ryan of this he said that I was remembering things wrong. He made multiple excuses for his terrible performance and even blamed the result on me. I offered to provide him with my full medical file from my surgeon outlining and detailing the horrific back injury I suffered and the surgeries had to help me walk again. Multiple times (including emails from Ryan) he assured me that the Notes written by my Chiropractor were more than sufficiant and I quote Ryan here "He is a Medical Dr. His word absolutely checks the box". The damage Ryan caused me is lifelong. I was the stay at home parent to 6 children why I supported my Wifes Military career. I am now almost 51 years old and because Ryan only cared about goin on his vacation the day after my Trial, I get 1,100 a month transitional Support for 2 years only. This on my Ex Wife's $9000 a month income. Ryan was completely ineffective during the trial. He had zero rebuttle for countless false allegations and nasty remarks directed at me. Stay away from this guy. He is a terrible Attorney who does not care about you. I should have fired him before the trial but I honestly didn't know I had that option. I could sit here for hours and detail all the underhanded and false things Ryan said and did througought my Divorce and Trial. I can't wait to see the nonsense he responds here with. When you need a divorce lawyer that is in your corner, Ryan Wilkinson is the lawyer to go to!!!! I worked with Ryan for two years in my draw out divorce. He was always readily available through email. He was always looking out for my best interests. He would keep down the lawyer costs as best as he could. Divorces are not easy, and he was always there to support me in the realms of legal standings. Definitely a straight shooter and to the point lawyer which you need in a divorce trial. He has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to legal manners around divorces. Anyone going through divorce, I would like to say there's no winners or losers. Jon worked on multiple cases for me and my family over the course of three years and he consistently delivered top notch results and service. Jon went above and beyond to answer our questions and empower us to do our own research. He was receptive to the evidence we put forward in our very emotionally trying case. He reassured us through some very difficult experiences, always with a balanced approach and considering the safety of our daughter. Given the high cost of our case, he utilized his assistant as much as possible for a lessor hourly fee and was careful to not charge for any errors on his part or short email responses. We won and protected our child. He made good choices that lead to our success and legal protection.

Both Kyle and his assistant have been difficult to reach, at best. I pay for advice which also appears to change depending on his whim of the day. I paid for advice A for what would happen should X come true. X came true, and his advice A changed to B contingent on Y happening. Y happened, and now his advice has changed to C. I had already expressed my dissatisfaction about him being hard to reach, and last time he asked me for additional information based on responses from the other party. When I sent him the information, I still got no response. I feel like I"m constantly ghosted. I'm not sure what I'm paying for, but it's clear I'm not getting my moneys worth. I've paid almost $2,000 for getting yanked around. I'd like my money back, but ... lawyers.

I knew my divorce was going to be difficult and drag out. I interviewed 4 lawyers and knew I would be in good hands with Joel Kent. Kyle was the other lawyer put on my team. I liked him immediately. I liked his calm manner, his organization, his creative and out of the box thinking, his staff's organization.......they are a well oiled machine. When going through divorce for the first time....you don't know what you don't know and it's critical to have representation that can guide you through this process and obtain the best results possible. The problem with the legal system is no one can afford representation for issues. It is hard to litigate a $450 fee someone is trying to impose upon you when attorneys cost $400/hr just for a consultation. This doesn't help your community. Edit after update from owner: This is all fine and in good spirit, but before I could even get a question off to see if this would be worth my time and expense, I was cut off and told I would have to set up a $400/hr consult first. For those of us in between jobs with families, this does not qualify as affordable. The state was more helpful. The state.

Did not respond to months of contacts then was antagonistic when finally did. Will never deal with him again professionally and recommend no one does.

We had a very complex case that alot of attornies would have turned down. Not Joe, he jumped in with both feet and lots of determination and had the knowledge required to bring our opponants to their knees.

This man actually hired me to do work for him. He refused to pay after being invoiced several times and even getting a judgment against him from the Small Claims Court. If he's not a man of integrity would you want him as your attorney?
