If you have a divorce or custody situation, you MUST retain this guy. I had two very bad experiences with family law attorneys (had never hired one before) and Joe completely turned my case around. He is very aggressive in court, promptly returns your calls and emails and somehow does all of this stuff while still being FUNNY and making you actually like hearing from your divorce lawyer!!!

I always had a negative view of attorneys. When I retained Pollock Begg and Joe became my lawyer, I realized that there are attorneys who will respond to your calls, address your concerns and be an aggressive advocate on your behalf. Although Joe has only been practicing for a short period of time, he makes up for it in his dedication to his clients and his preparedness.

I hired Atty. Gordon to help me re-negotiate my divorce case. I came to him with an existing divorce agreement that was settled without representation. Needless to say he had his work cut out for him. He did a wonderful job of explaining where the issues were and where we had room to negotiate. Attorney Morrow is one of the best in the City of Pittsburgh. He is kind, compassionate, and patient with his clients. He understands that emotions often play a big part in any matter that brings a person to a lawyer and does not attempt to down play your needs and/or emotions. He is quick to explain any issues in "plain" language rather than "legalese" so that anyone can understand the nuanses of the legal system in Pennsylvania. He can gently make you see the whole picture and alternatives available when appropriate. His fees are more reasonable than most attorneys in Pittsburgh. John C. did an excellent job calling me back almost immediately and taking time at no charge to discuss with me all my options including a succinct analysis of views from my side as well as the opposing party. He was able to essentially figure out what was going on before I told him.
I felt put at ease, and my guess is I'll eventually switch this from Consulted to Hired. I should have known better regarding attorneys, it's far less costly to hire someone who is great at their work than someone who isn't but charges less.
I've found his combination of pscyhological understanding paired with knowledge of the Pittsburgh area and elsewhere including specific people of which I have an issue to be extremely important. He already did the research, the other attorney didn't really bother, but if they did I would have been charged for thier learning which wouldn't come close to what Mr. Corcoran knew in knowing the people first hand and what they are like.
