My divorce was starting to look much different than what I thought my ex-wife and I had amicably agreed upon. She hired a lawyer and never told me about it, then did a complete 180 on me and basically wanted everything but the shirt off my back. Because we have children, I wanted things to be as least messy as possible. During my time with Attorney Kunka, we came to discover that she actually had monthly income of which I was not aware, in addition to a trust that she had never mentioned before in our fourteen years together. Needless to say, Mr. Kunka impeccably argued my case and we came to a very fair agreement. Situations like these are not fun, so it was great to know Ellis had my back and answers to my questions from the time we began working together. For someone who is independently wealthy and stood to lose everything, Mr. Kunka saved me and my relationship with my kids. Thanks, Ellis!

Wow. Extremely bright while extremely sensitive to my extremely complicated situation. I’d give 10 stars if Avvo didn’t max the most at 5. After meeting with this attny, I felt for the first time after 3 years of abuse, that I will finally be ok. Ive come across no attorney that could handle my abuser or understand his covert tactics better than Victoria. She really listens and knows how to make sense of what a battered distressed woman is unable but trying to say. Beyond the best out there when it comes to combining intelligence, compassion and organization. There’s no one out there like Victoria. She’s going to make a huge positive difference in the world of violence. My gut is usually right, by now. Mark my words.

I had retained Heather in 2003 while going through a tough Divorce. It was a very difficult time and that's when I realized just how much she fought for me and my young son. Her tenacity and work ethic is top notch!
Twenty years later, my ex-husband had me back in court and without hesitation, I immediately contacted Heather's firm, and she took on my case, yet again. She fights for you, and fights hard. She has done so much for me during the tough times of divorce battles, etc..

Hands down the best lawyer I've ever worked with!!! She makes Johnny Cochran look like a scrub. Honestly though, Heather is professional and if you simply push the I believe in her button she will advise and assist you, then crush your case.
I had little hope in winning my custody case. I am an out of state father, going for full custody against my ex who looks amazing on paper since she is a teacher and licensed professional counselor. From the experience I had with John Morris, I would not recommend to anyone. I was told at the beginning of my son’s divorce that should be know more than $3000. Only because he doesn’t have any assets at all nor did his ex wife. There are no children involved. Two years later after the ex finally decided to sign the paper work, we get an invoice of an additional $3500 dollars. They said he spent 16 hours on a divorce that had no assets, absolutely no property and no contest. It was just sitting on his desk waiting for the ex to sign. My son was charged $6500 for this. This is unethical.

Also at the end we were crunched on time trying to sell a house (couldn’t until we had the paper) and again crystal said I don’t care if I have to walk it over to the judge we will get this done! They did not disappoint any obstacle they quickly had the next step in motion!

I would never recommend them to anyone. The charges are ridiculous and they did absolutely nothing and I spent $1200. I had to explain my case three times to 3 different lawyers. One of the partners showed up to my case unprepared. It was a phone conference hearing that lasted a total of 5 minutes. I should post my charges. My case was a support case. Really disappointed. Please do your research before hiring.

I found Attorney Spivak through a Google search with the criteria, “impossible PFA cases”. His name popped up and I gave him a call. Long story short, he literally won an impossible PFA case. This man is legit. My fiancé has been in custody courts for 3 and a half years, and this man proved his case with one PFA hearing. I would also say that anyone who may have very complicated custody cases, to talk to Mr Spivak. He’s highly knowledgeable, and this man actually CARES about his clients. He will go to bat for you, he is very direct, and he will tell you what to expect.
I say this with the most sincerity, I do not trust, like or even respect most attorneys. I have never had good experiences with most of them. I feel like they take your money , and that’s it. But this man is the real deal. I would highly recommend Attorney Spivak for any custody/PFA related cases. If I could give ten stars, I would.

Shopping around for somebody to help me Put motion in to have my custody order modified. I got his name off of neighborhood legal services. Every time I call this man he comes off cocky, rude, and arrogant, and he will not answer one question without discussing a payment I wouldn’t hire him to represent a dog just based off of the first impression I don’t feel like he would do a good job for me being somebody who has PTSD and anxiety and has been through so many bad experiences with the system to finally feel like you might have found somebody that came highly recommended to turn around and have them treat you like you are beneath them. I don’t think that I would ever want to represent me, so my opinion would stay clear of him. I need somebody that is really going to help me and it doesn’t cost every time. I ask the question. I understand attorneys don’t come cheap, but if I’m going through a special service It’s because my income is fixed Afford one of the bed is attorneys in the city I wouldn’t be calling on him.
