I did not have a positive experience with Ms. Kelley Cash during my prenup consultation. Ms. Cash was indifferent - she did not offer any acknowledgement of my upcoming marriage and instead criticized the late timing before the wedding. I was eager to get the agreement finalized and tried to move forward with her services anyways. I never received any follow-up communications. It was a waste of my time and money. I am glad I found another attorney that offered superior services and legal expertise.

As an Alamance county resident, I had a hard time finding a family attorney in the Wake area that I was comfortable with. After doing some thorough research I came across Jake Terrell, and pick him because of his great reviews, dedication and knowledgeable background. Jake has represented me in 2 cases within the year and has been able to get me the results I wanted BOTH times. The second case was extremely rare and when I spoke to Jake about it he was super eager to handle it. I could tell he put in the work the day of court because he handle it with flying colors! He made everything stress free and was extremely helpful.. not to mention everything was a short notice, yet Jake had no problem showing up! Jake’s communication skills and work ethic never goes unnoticed with me, therefore I HIGHLY recommend him for any family law cases. Thank you Jake for everything you’ve done for me and my son!

Terrible experience. The firm over billed and under delivered. Attempted to resolve the repeated issues with them multiple times but they could careless. They are more focused on over billing than they are on their "clients." In all fairness, I only worked with a few of their attorneys before I cut ties. My experience does not speak for the entire firm.

I was made the of trustee for a family member almost five years ago. I was fortunate to be referred to Scott as I had no experience in this area. Scott has been there for us from the beginning to the end as we now finalize the estate. Unfortunately we have also faced family squabbling and other legal challenges as large trusts often attract predators. Scott has gone above and beyond to advise us and protect the assets of the trusts during this stressful time. I hired Mr. Allen in 2019 while I was going through a separation with my ex-wife that ended in divorce. This was a very stressful, unpleasant and overwhelming time of my life. My ex-wife was making false accusations and asking for everything I had to my name - I needed help quickly. Mr. Allen explained everything to me...his strategy, how the law works, what to expect, best outcome, worst outcome - he was always pretty quick to respond to my calls, texts, emails, etc. I was extremely pleased with the outcome as we settled in mediation and the settlement was one that I thought was fair and that I was happy with. If it were not for Mr. Allen's zealous representation I fear I would have been clobbered and taken for everything I had. I absolutely recommend Mr. Allen for any type of family law case.

Scott keep it honest from the start and gave me great advise. He started helping me in 2014 and I had a bad start after losing the first case with my first Lawyer. Scott was doing such a great job with my friend I had to give me a chance which is something I would not regret. Scott understands the law very well and will help anyone that is willing to help themselves. He helped me get custody of my son so if you think it can't be done then you really should talk to him. I hired Scott, when I was going through divorce child custody, and a lot of false claims were filed against me. I interviewed several lawyers and hired Scott, as I felt comfortable with him. He listened to me patiently and went through the court documents. I asked him to explain the process and he did explained what I should expect next. His paralegal James is certified paralegal and is superb in what he does. James helped me with the initial documents and the process.
Scott has a great document management system. Whatever documents I gave him till now, he never lost those and had those when we needed them. Scott asked me whether I want to settle or go to court. I wanted to go to court and he went with it. During the initial hearing and all the subsequent hearings he fought for my rights and presented my case diligently and proved the claims by the other party to be false. Most of the lawyers, will tell you settle as it saves them and the court time, but it might not be always in your best interest. Scott is not those lawyers, he really cares about his clients and is not afraid to litigate or fight for his client’s right in the court.
My case went through the approximately 15 months with different hearings etc. All these times, Scott has treated me with respect and did his best for my case. Divorce and custody cases are hard, as these drain you emotionally and financially. A lot of lawyers will try to linger your case or will try to charge you excessive amount of fees. Scott never tried to linger my case or charge me inappropriately.
The most important thing is, most lawyers will be nice when they have to take your case, but when the going gets tough and difficult in the divorce case or custody case; they would ask you to look for another lawyer or will ask to be excused from your case. Scott is not such lawyer; he is there for you from the beginning till the end. He is well reputed and well respected among his peers and in the community. He’s been practicing family law for over 20 years. Throughout my case, I had peace of mind that I have best lawyer looking out for my case and who is not afraid to go extra mile for my case.
Scott never promised me the moon or the stars; he always said he will do his best as the case outcome can’t be guaranteed. He did his best. In all hearing, he gave me more than ample time for the trial preparation. He always answered my emails promptly, despite his busy schedule. One time, I had to visit my child out of state and I had driven 7 hours one way and the other parent won’t let me see my child. I immediately contacted Scott and he immediately contacted the lawyer of my ex and that allowed me to see my child the next day. It was a weekend; most lawyers won’t respond to you even if it’s emergency situation on a weekend. That single action by Scott, earned a lot of my respect and regard for him.
I would highly recommend Scott Allen for anyone looking for the best lawyer for Child Custody, Alimony, Divorce & Separation and for family law related matters. If you ask me, who is the lawyer who will stand by you from the beginning till the end, who will be around through your roller coaster ride of the Child Custody, Alimony, Divorce & Separation etc., I would say Scott Allen. He truly cares about his clients and is one of the best lawyers.

I retained Tiffany in the midst of an ugly and escalating custody disagreement with my ex-husband. She is an incredible listener and very compassionate. She knows what she's doing and offered me tons of guidance. She was always very responsive to communications, and she helped me find the right voice to advocate for my children. She helped my Judge understand that the emotional abuse my children were suffering at the hands of their father was just as devastating as physical abuse, and ultimately the Judge ruled in my favor thanks to her hard work. My family is protected and has peace because of her! It's never cheap to retain an attorney, but her fees are extremely reasonable, and honestly I would have paid her more. She is worth every penny and then some.

As someone who unfortunately has had to deal with 4-5 lawyers in the few years this was by far my absolute worst experience with any attorney/firm. Can’t recommend enough to get a different consult and get better advice, would never work with them again.
The strategy here seems to be to take clients to court and to drag things out as long as possible to wrack up billable hours. From this from I paid over $10k for a divorce case that almost went to trial, until the firm was late on giving me needed disclosures to complete - when I changed attorneys almost instantly got the case out of court and saved a ton of money and got what I wanted.
Attorneys here couldn’t seem to care less, they are arrogant and will give you bad informaron to keep your case going to trial. Total waste and huge regret wasting any time and money here.

I had an issue a few years back. I got an email stating I needed to fill out a family medical history form for my 15 year olddaughter. Problem is I didnt know I had a 15 year old daughter. A former love interest popped up out of nowhere. And sure enough this girl was my flesh and blood. At first the mother agreed to let me meet her then recanted on her promise. I contacted several attorneys in Raliegh and none were responsive. I got Ms McClinton on the phone with the first try. She did not try to sell a $500 consultation fee. She simply asked me a few questions and told me what kind of case I had. I had her assistant immediately charge my card for the retainer because I had my lawyer. Look people, this woman FIGHTS for you. She gets in the trenches back to back with you. Everything she told me happened exactly like she said. And because Ms McClinton is so knowledgeable and smooth, she convinced the court to grant me visitation of my daughter despite her mothers protest. All I wanted was to meet my daughter one time and Ms McClinton got me more than that. My daughter is now a sophomore in college and Ms McClinton is someone I consider a dear friend.

I retained the Rosen Law Firm to represent me in my separation and divorce in 2008, which was recently finalized, and I could not have had a better attorney/client experience. Erin did a wonderful job diffusing an emotionally charged situation, and made the process of securing a separation agreement and concluding the divorce as smooth and painless as possible. In our initial client meeting, it was still difficult for me to discuss my marriage difficulties with anyone, but Erin's awareness and sensitivity put me at ease rather quickly. I entered the meeting rather depressed and left the meeting rather optimistic about my future.
In the months to follow, Erin proved to be a very efficient attorney. She negotiated a separation agreement which secured more property and assets than I had anticipated. Additionally, she was always very quick to respond to my emails and calls, generally within 1-2 hours, even on weekends. I appreciated that she always offered to meet with me in person as well as over the phone when we discussed case updates. From start to finish, she was a pleasure to work with.
