This review is long overdue. So overdue that Google reviews did not exist at the time I needed help from the Monks team. I recently had a friend get a ticket in NC coming back to FL and tonight I told her of the time I had got 2 tickets in NC and had I not had the help of an amazing lawyer to negotiate them, I may have never been able to relocate for work, as I wouldn't have had a drivers license or ability to use a vehicle. Looking now back at how that would have negatively impacted my life and had I not the help of the Steve and the Monks team, things in my life could have played out differently and I would not be where I am today. Reflecting on that, I wanted to now, even though now its many years later and with the ability to do it online, let the Monks team and anyone else know that I appreciate everything you did for me to fight those two driving infractions and that it changed the trajectory for me for all the better. I have been working with Mrs. Sarah Gerow and she has been amazing. I’ve also spoken to Mr. Mark a couple times and they are both very professional, patient, very understanding of my situation. I am updated on everything even calls me to inform me of the small to major updates. Mrs. Gerow does not rush me what so ever. Her communication is amazing. With inflation and everything being so expensive she doesn’t constant ask for me to put funds in my trust fund, but respectfully reminds me when I do forget. This goes to again point out she is very understanding of any situation. I can trust her with anything and everything without feeling judge or misunderstood. I also want to point out she is a “what do you want”, “this is what I think is best for you” and not a “I think we should do this or you should go with this and agree to that”, but as well has me fully aware of the possible good and bad outcomes. This firm is definitely not a what I’m used to hearing “some do it for the money and try to win”. This firm actually cares about their client, and clients money. Lastly, 100% military friendly/ knowledgeable. Both Mrs. Gerow and Mr.Mark have been able to answer all of my questions regarding the military without any hesitation or “let me get back to you on that”.

This attorney was an opposing counsel on my case and the level of incompetency I saw in her while representing her client was appalling. She did not seem to ask her client for any material evidence to support their claims. Any claim they made I did with his client, I was able to counter right in front of them and a judge in a courtroom. If you are charging clients &350/hour and doing such careless job as an attorney, I doubt your competency. The people writing good reviews for her must have had terrible attorneys because Tatjana cannot measure up with some of the attorneys I know in Raleigh. If your case is high profile, has a lot of discoveries and lying opponent, don't waste your time and money hiring this lady. Loom around and you will get attorneys who will actually go to court with you with facts and evidence. I felt bad for her when I asked her in court if she cared asking her client evidence of the things they were alleging against me and she had no answer. Very incompetent!

I'll give an extra star because they were generally pleasant to work with and my case was eventually resolved, but not without several unacceptable communication issues with possible legal consequences, and a lot of avoidable time and money spent. My recommendation would be to find more professional representation.
1. Received email notification at 7pm for a court ordered 2 hr virtual mediation session the next day, which I only happened to see the next day while at work. The associated affidavit was signed by representation almost a month before so I should have been notified.
2. There were calls scheduled with me on their side, without any notice to me (not impromptu calls, actual on their calendar scheduled calls)
3. Legal agreement revisions from opposing counsel were sent to me multiple times without any input. One time there were changes with significant financial impacts which I had to notice and evaluate on my own and could have easily missed.
4. I had to sign the same finalized agreement 3 times in a time crunch scenario due to mistakes. The first time, with a two week deadline to avoid court, the signed agreement was snail mailed and was either lost or returned which lost us most of the time window.
5. I was not notified when my legal agreement was executed, causing me to almost miss payments that were legally due. I only found out through opposing counsel at the last minute, which is obviously not how this should work.

Had a really bad experience using this lawfirm and I don't agree with any of the positive reviews could all be fake. This attorney used me as a cashcow regarding a civil dispute, never actually accomplished anything we wanted him to achieve,
In short we hired this attorney to handle a civil dispute. After hiring him, he requested we do all this sort of work so he could gather it up and fight this civil dispute. After months of using him and bills racking up, he did little to nothing, didn't produce any results and we wasted tens of thousands on him. Overall the worst experience I had using any attorney.

Alexander is extremely detailed. He makes sure he has all the facts that he needs and very thoughtful. He works very hard to get the very best out come possible. He is honest is what could happen and breaks everything down for you. He talks to you as a human being and makes sure you understand everything fully. After doing some thorough research I came across Jake Terrell, and pick him because of his great reviews, dedication and knowledgeable background. I had hired another lawyer, but replaced him as soon as I spoke with Mr. Little. James didn’t over promise, but gave me confidence he knew the anxiety this matter was causing, and the hope that he would have it dismissed entirely. He talked to me like a person, not a case file. Mr. Little did have the matter dismissed on the first court date, while I’m still waiting on the refund from the first lawyer.

This is our second go round with Katherine Frye as our PC. The first time Katherine was scolded by the courts for overstepping her role as a Parent Coordinator when she changed the custody schedule, wrongly taking away half of my custody. While Katherine seems very knowledgeable in her field she doesn't seem to use that knowledge very well to help dissolve conflict in high conflict situations. Katherine Frye has consistently ignored emails related to alienation of affection, domestic violence, protection orders, withholding and many other issues, and has continuous used her "power of authority" as she likes to call it, to make many bias, one sided decisions.
If you are in a high conflict case, or your co-parent suffers from narcissism, do not proceed with Katherine as your PC because her directives and help can be bought, and manipulated, inevitably becoming one sided.
I would have to agree with a previous review that maybe Katherine is too busy with her practice or doesn't care enough to find out the actual issue at hand, because there is no way a law professional is supposed to be this disconnected and nonchalant about major issues.

While Ms Frye may or may not be a good attorney, I would recommend someone else with a therapy background to be your family's parent coordinator. Specifically, Dr. Carolyn Pender-Roche of Next Step Psychology is exceptional. She is a therapist and understands what is in the best interest of the children. Carolyn takes into consideration the psychology of each family member as well as seeks to understand the whole situation even if it takes time. I believe from my experience with Katherine Frye that Katherine is just too busy trying to manage her legal practice to take the time to fully understand the issues at hand. If you want someone who will listen well before hurrying to give a directive, go with Dr Pender Roche or even another therapist. Ultimately having someone who can truly be an advocate for the best interest of your children is what is most important even if they dont always do what you want. If you have an ex that lies well, you dont want Katherine Frye as your PC as she is too busy to notice.

I hired Ms. Frye, Esquire to review and assist through a complex divorce, and was thoroughly impressed by her knowledge, her willingness to engage and be my advocate, guiding me through multiple particular law procedures that may have inadvertently harmed my case, had I not known about them.
I thoroughly recommend her to anyone looking for a powerful advocate through the many hoops, twists, and turns that Divorce proceedings can generate.
I bombarded her with questions and 'what-if' scenarios and she was more than willing to take the extra time needed, so I could be fully armed to defend myself and ensure my estate was not damaged in any way. Through her guidance, I successfully dodged pitfalls and weaknesses, and I was able to complete my goals with the divorce swiftly and cleanly.

I retained ms farber one time for a charge and everything went smooth as could be....very rea pond I've call ing me back did everything she could to help me..later down the road just so happen to be appointed ms farber I was happy thinking I would get same treatment...I was so very wrong. Worst attitude I have ever encountered with an attournney.very rude. Claims to never have time to talk to me.my freedom is in the hands of a terrible firm I would never wish for anyone to be treated as she has me. I bet if I was a child molester or serial killer or something crazy she would act diffrently. I try to be respectful but that get me nowere. I do not recommend this firm to anyone. Go to george Whitaker he is priced a little high but at least he respects his clients whether retained or appointed

She has the best interest in mind for anyone that contacts her regardless of if you retain her for legal council. I hired Len Mueller to assist with divorce matters and a separation agreement. Everything seemed ok at first, and she asked for relevant financial documents and started working on an agreement for distribution. I then started to notice that little progress was being made on my case, and it seemed that I couldn’t get Len’s attention unless I made an appointment to come into her office for a conference. During these conferences, she would bill me close to, or in excess of, a thousand dollars each time, and we would often rehash the same issues. I then had trouble getting her or her staff to even respond to emails, and I had no choice but to send her a message conveying my dissatisfaction with her representation, and asking her to cease work. She basically told me to come pick up my file and wished me good luck. I asked for an electronic copy of my separation agreement, as a courtesy, so I could at least complete on my own. She would not respond to the request. In sum, I paid her nearly $4500 and walked away at close to square-one. In the end, I felt that she became argumentative and unprofessional to me. A previous reviewer stated that “she will only work cases she believes in fighting” so maybe mine wasn’t one of them.

I did not have a positive experience with Ms. Kelley Cash during my prenup consultation. Ms. Cash was indifferent - she did not offer any acknowledgement of my upcoming marriage and instead criticized the late timing before the wedding. I was eager to get the agreement finalized and tried to move forward with her services anyways. I never received any follow-up communications. It was a waste of my time and money. As an Alamance county resident, I had a hard time finding a family attorney in the Wake area that I was comfortable with.
