If $5,000 can’t knock a 1st degree, Class B Felony Burglary - Home Invasion down to what it should have been, nothing more than petty larceny and trespassing, then I would hate to see what she charges to actually do something/anything. My 19 yr old kid walked into an open garage to grab beer that he could see from the street, that’s it. He didn’t break a lock/door or force entry, he didn’t have a weapon, he didn’t come into contact with the homeowners ever, he didn’t have intent to commit a felony. She didn’t do a gd thing. She was HOURS late to literally every single court date. After she told us that the courts were now doing multiple SIS’s, she didn’t even get him that! She told him after it was all said & done that he could request to have it expunged after 3 years. Smh. He would have done better representing himself. Oh & the fact that she is sleeping with one of her clients, a multiple felon convict, which would be a conflict of interest, she should find a different career path. Like maybe a horticulturist for indoor plants.

There are a lot of attorneys who take your money and do minimal work. Melinda goes above and beyond to stay available when needed, put the attention into your case that it deserves and explore ALL your options with you before you move forward so can plan accordingly. A far cry from your typical attorney!
Take it from someone who has had the unfortunate opprotunity to deal with over imaginative and extra aggressive police, you want someone who will fight for you, not sit on the sidelines and wait until your courtdate to try and get you to take a plea deal without putting in any effort. You get what you pay for and I wish Mindy would have been around a long time ago, would have saved me a lot of stress and money.

She is hard core, strong, and will fight for you. I go to her for second opinions, for legal advice for myself, my friends and family, and I send major felony clients to her. She is everything you want in a lawyer. Her prices are fair, she is smart as a whip, she knows all prosecutors and judges, she has a lifetime of experience and I trust her completely. She is also witty, beautiful, and a great trial lawyer in general. She doesn't brag about it when she gets murder charges dismissed or clients out of jail, but she does do that... on a regular basis. I am a lawyer. I seek her legal advice. This review is honest and based on working with her, advice she has given me and seeing her at work. I consider her to be one of the very top criminal lawyers in Missouri.

Jennifer was our attorney for a custody case. She did an excellent job. She is thorough, hard working, and very knowledgable in the area of family law. She has parenting experience of her own and she does a wonderful job of figuring out what is best for the children, not the parents. IMHO, that is the most important thing a family attorney can do. I have a lot of respect for Jennifer and I would highly recommend her.

This woman is totally corrupt and only interested in an easy paycheck. As evidenced by her actions, she has absolutely zero concern for what is right or fair in any capacity. She will represent your interests only as far as it does not interrupt her own.
She will suppress anything that might make her actually have to work and do her job with any degree of integrity. Nor is she interested in any evidence or hard facts that really matter unless it serves her own agenda. She has absolutely zero integrity and couldn't be a more corrupt and unfit attorney if she tried. Do not hire her if you want to be rightly represented.

Jennifer is an amazing attorney who always has the child and clients best interest at heart. She fought for and achieved what was the best outcome for my child with schooling and custody. This lady held a meeting at my church this Saturday, she was very, very disrespectful, telling us the members to shut up, said she was going to sue the church, if we didn’t pay her. First of all the church never hired her, was not voted on to hire her. The pastor took upon hisself to hire her, which he should be responsible for her payment. I understand lawyers are tough, but there is a difference between tough and being downright disrespectful. She also stated that we are not a congregational church, which is not true, since we are not a congregational church per her statement that means the Pastor is null and void, because the congregation voted.. She also brought up The Union in the church business, and the church is not union, what happen to the statement of separation between State and Church. She will not ever be recommended as a lawyer.

This firm is a scam they are representing my wife and they have had her case for over 10 years and no return calls for any updates on her case. She has to call them for updates and when she does speak to someone they always give her to a voice mail or a lady name Grace and she stated when they answer the phones they are rude and shows no kind of compassion they just say basic stuff like your case is still pending and they will send me to a VM and no one ever calls back she will send Grace emails and leave VM for her to call her and will never will we still waiting to see if she has the correct address so my wife can make sure she gets correspondents she needs to get her settlement till this day she GG has not called nor acknowledged they have the new address. We think this is very disrespectful and unprofessional on this law firm about the rudeness and not following up on her case why does she have to call when they have the case after 10 plus years she has only have had No phone call updated all just by her calling herself and them sending ppwk. This is not professional at all.

I wouldn't hire this clown with your money. Impossible to contact, no information at all about upcoming court dates, it seems no attention at all was given to my case. A simple divorce took almost 2 years. On top of it all, my Ex violates the child custody agreement, and he says there's nothing he can do. What a complete joke.

My highest recommendation for Scott. Very smart, knowledgeable, dedicated, and stays calm in the fray. If I ever had a question, I got help. He truly cares. My only wish is he would have been my one and only lawyer as he corrected 5 big mistakes previous lawyer made in short order. He was instrumental in alleviating a lot of my pain throughout with his explanation of strategy, what the judge does / doesn’t care about, and what we would do to counter a very adversarial opposing counsel.
Important note: over dozen lawyers would not take case against opposing firm. Big name law firm also declined, but told me to call Scott. Best thing I could have done.

This attorney was completely unprepared for my divorce trial and it cost me dearly. His questioning of both myself and my former spouse were insufficient. I had numerous questions that I had instructed Jim as my attorney to ask my ex so that the judge could get a clear picture. He said he would use my questions and then did not and did not ask many questions of his own. Not sure how this guy is still in practice. DO NOT HIRE HIM unless you want an unprepared attorney representing you in court. I would classify my representation as NEGLIGENT. I almost fired him during the trial for incompetence. In hindsight, I should have as I would have been better able to represent myself.

BEWARE! if she thinks you have money she will suck you dry. i have learned that divorce does not have to be as complicated as attorneys make it. it is often really straight forward, but she extends the litigation and files unnecessary motions so she can keep charging you to pump up her bill. she doesn't try to find the best solution because it is not in her best interest financially to resolve everything quickly. in the end she really makes things so much worse and you will probably end up exhausted and financially ruined because of your legal bills. AND because of her attitude towards the whole situtation she will ensure that you have no hope at having a decent relationship with your ex spouse for the sake of your kids. cordell & cordell is not really what they advertise to be.

Cynthia was a mediator between my ex-husband and I when we divorced. This was a simple divorce, and amicable as far as these things go.
Both my ex-husband and I found her to be not very competent.
I went into exhaustive detail during the financial discovery, which was expected because doing the work yourself is one of the ways you save money. However, she didn't seem to be able to understand the financial overview document, annotated with the number, and then the attachment showing proof of where the info came from, which had the same number. She also didn't seem to be very proficient in using computers. I had to instruct her on how to use certain programs. She didn't give me a discount for that.
When we finally got before the judge, they were taken aback by her sloppy work. She actually listed our pet in the list of assets, with a value of "priceless".
In the end, after spending several thousand dollars, we fired her and finished the divorce using the Court's own pro se people.
While I would not recommend going pro se with the court in something as important as a divorce, I would also not recommend using Cynthia for your divorce. She was either "phoning it in" or, worse, that was actually the best she can do.

Not many people 'like' attorneys. To be fair, it's usually based on the need of one & not the attorney. However, there are the attorneys that take advantage of people in need. Just like many people, you have the good & not so good. There are many attorneys to consider in those times. And there are some you need to run from. I doubt seriously Cynthia recalls my case. But if she were to be honest about some matters, she might give herself 1 star as well. I wish you well & I hope your integrity isn't what is used to be.

If I could give zero stars… Colleen was the GAL for my granddaughter and did her a complete injustice. My granddaughters father is an alcoholic and at 6 months of age he gave my granddaughter a black eye and pulled a gun on my daughter and granddaughter. He now has 50/50 custody and cries any time she has to be alone with her father. We paid thousands of dollars for absolutely nothing. Colleen is a complete waste of an attorney and should never have any type of authority over a child.

If I could give no star, I would. Jackie is chatty and personable, but that’s about it. How she got a “SuperLawyer” title is beyond me. Jackie might be a cheaper attorney, but I would rather pay more money to another attorney who knows how to do their job and do it way better for the cost.
