Being detained and taken into custody is an extremely traumatic experience. It's during those times that you need an experienced legal team to be by your side in court. For myself it came in the form of a 3 AM stop where I was soon sitting in a patrol car waiting to be transported to the magistrates; by the time I was allowed access to a phone there were only 2 numbers to call: my family to tell them I won't be home for supper and The Locke Law Group. Being tightly shackled in county lock up, surrounded by 80 other detainees is trying and exhausting; but even after a full 24-hour-no-sleep-detention, I knew the long day wouldn't be over until I spoke with Shannon on the phone. After some time, Shannon, Javier, and the team at the Locke Law Group were able to represent my side of things fully and got the case closed and dismissed. I am one who makes most of my purchases based on positive reviews and advice from friends and family. Mr. Aguilera's name came up several times when searching for a criminal attorney. I'm glad I called Joseph 'Mick' Aguilera's office because he expertly handled my case, getting my charge dropped. My boyfriend is in need of a criminal attorney now and I immediately called Mick. Had I known that Mick did bonds, I would've used him to bond my boyfriend out. We contacted Mick's office and my boyfriend and I met up with Mick, a few days later. Because his office is conveniently located on the outskirts of downtown, there is no fee for parking. There is parking directly in front and on the side of Mick's office. When we arrived, we pushed a button to confirm who we were, allowing us to enter the building . We discussed all the details of my boyfriend's arrest as well as the possible maximum penalty for his charges. We are just now in the beginning stages and hope and pray for a positive outcome. We feel confident knowing that Mr. Aguilera has 33 years of experience in criminal law and his familiarity with the judges and prosecutors in the Bexar County Courthouse. I will do a follow up review on the outcome of my boyfriend's case once this is over. On a side note, because there are other attorneys that work in Micks office, make it clear that you are there to do business with Mick and Mick only, you won't be disappointed.

Brian Walters expertly guided me through a multi-year custody case that was only resolved after a week-long jury trial was held. At trial, Brian was uniquely able to convey empathy towards the other parent while still delivering the hard facts of the case. I believe this resonated with the jury as they were being asked to make a decision that reflected the best interests of the child and not the best interests of either parent. In my personal case, and I suspect in most custody cases, it is easy to demonize the other parent for what they did to you and how their actions are continuing to hurt your parent-child relationship. From my perspective, this is why it is invaluable to retain a legal team that is emotionally intelligent in how they present the facts of the case. Brian was incredibly adaptive when speaking with witnesses and able to effectively anticipate and respond to comments from opposing counsel. Brian unquestionably focused and presented on the best interests of the child and I am beyond grateful to have been able to work with him and his firm.
Logan Kilgore joined our team towards the end of multi-year custody case and brought a refreshing positivity in an otherwise draining situation. Logan swiftly appraised herself of the case and I immediately felt secure not only with her professionalism but more significantly in her level of care. Throughout the case Logan listened to my concerns, stayed focused on the child’s best interests, and used all resources available to accurately convey those concerns during a temporary order hearing and during a week-long jury trial. I cannot say enough good things about Clepper Harrison & Duffy PLLC. From start to finish, I experienced the upmost professionalism and compassion. I ended every interaction with confidence and certainty. At the end of every call, Chanda and I both had clear expectations on what to do next--I had my tasks, she had hers, and every time we followed up, we were on the same page. She and her team are highly prepared, proficient, prompt, and consistent. I appreciated that the billing information was explained so well that I never felt like I had to wonder how much things were going to cost. I was billed on the 1st and the 15th of every month, and I personally loved that consistency. Although I have never worked with attorneys before, my personal opinion was that their fees were extremely fair and honest. Each bill had a running record of every item they completed, with times, dates, and explanations. I loved their practicality of providing phone calls and zoom calls, rather than meeting in person. My whole divorce was handled over phone calls/zooms and I never had to step foot into a court room. Although everyone's experience is different, I was able to complete an amicable, uncontested divorce that was finalized in just over 60 days. I hired Patricia Jay for a child custody case which my bitter ex refused to let me see my child. Patricia Jay was a wonderful attorney for my divorce and custody case! Her and her office staff were incredibly helpful and attentive to me and the case. We encountered quite the few bumps in my case due to the other half not being in the country and out of reach. I got James as my attorney after my final agreement had been signed. James had to fight to get the final agreement changed because I would have been paying her bills for the rest of her life. He worked with me when my money ran out and trusted I would pay him later. He discounted my fees because he knew I had been taken advantage of. He gave me other legal advice not related to divorce. When you are with James you really feel like he is on your side and not just trying to close a deal. The only problem is he is so good that he stays busy a lot. Do yourself a favor if you need a divorce attorney. Hire James.
