No idea what happened in these negative reviewers' cases, but there's something odd about them because she did an excellent job for me. She was sharp and direct during the negotiating phase, refused to let me get the short end of the deal, and represented my interests well. And even after the divorce, during a few tense disagreements with my ex, she was extremely firm in advocating for me and even gave me some unbilled consultation when I really needed it!

Sabrina Grogan did a horrible job representing me. I seemed to know more about family law from researching with google! She didn't pursue the best position for me, poorly represented my interest, and definitely was not plugged into the details of my case. Then she over billed me by thousands. After dragging my case on for months to run up my bill.

She was happy to charge me approximately $50,000 but did not represent me adequately. She did not follow up on disclosure as well as present the judge with documents that were requested by the judge and in her possession. The list goes on. She gave no insight into child custody rights. Run!

My experience with Adam Owensby and Seibert Law Firm was far from favorable, lacking the "quality client representation" they claim to provide. During my initial $275 meeting with Adam, he took only about five sentences of notes and advised me to write a letter to the other party as his sole suggestion. Later, when I learned the other party was taking me to court, Adam sent a $3,000 payment request—without a retainer agreement or any explanation for the discrepancy from the verbal quote he had given during our meeting. I emailed Adam to inquire about the retainer agreement and the price difference, but after a week with no response, I called Seibert Law Firm, specifically asking to speak with Kevin or Rebecca Seibert to clarify if this was standard practice. Instead, Adam returned my call, claiming he hadn’t received my email and offering excuses. I again requested to speak directly with Kevin or Rebecca and ended the call. Adam then called back, saying Kevin was available. After I explained my experience in detail, Kevin also made excuses for Adam’s behavior. Despite the website stating, "call for a free consultation," my initial meeting cost $275, and the only advice provided was to write a letter to the other party. It seems Seibert Law Firm’s standard practice includes sending payment requests without any contract, retainer agreement, or clear explanation. Additionally, I was repeatedly told that I "live in a red state" and was once told I "rub people the wrong way" for standing up for my rights—comments that felt irrelevant and unprofessional. Bottom line: It felt as though Adam Owensby’s focus was more on collecting fees than on providing genuine quality representation. My recommendation: Proceed with caution if you’re considering Adam Owensby or Seibert Law Firm. If you’re looking for an attorney genuinely invested in your case, I’d strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

Hired through Lemon Law Group in 2021, was passed around from paralegal to paralegal at least 5 or 6 times. No one ever wanted to contact me back and nothing seemed to be getting done. Recently I was made aware that not only is there another paralegal but a different attorney also. I was also made aware today that this lawyer dropped the ball and really screwed me over and cost me a lot of money because I was told the defendant in the case submitted a request for dismissal back in May of 2023 and it was granted so obviously this man never showed up for court or did anything on my case, now I have paid into a lemon vehicle for a couple more years all because of this man's negligence. I am so upset that I have been drug around for all this time for nothing. This car is now worth less than I owe on it so I am completely screwed. Thanks alot.

Kathy Fisher is one step ahead. She is incredibly intuitive and knows the next step (and the alternative steps.) She recommends actions that are within reach. She responds quickly and thoroughly in a way that even I can understand. I trust her and this is essential. Her advice is sound and realistic - one of the most professional people I have had the pleasure to work with - my divorce is tricky and she has cut throught the red tape exactly as I hoped.

I do not feel that Katharine fought for me. I lost SO MUCH during my case - not just monetarily, although that was a HUGE part of it. I needed Katharine’s help and I truly didn’t feel like she cared. My ex-husband kept doing TERRIBLE things to me - and I was told nothing could be done. Does that make sense? My life was in absolute shambles for a long time. I am still recovering well over a year later. I did not have enough money to change law firms or I would have. I kept hoping things would get better, but they did not. I just feel like things ended so badly. I am truly disappointed. I also felt like she did not push to get information from my ex-husband. I just felt that nothing was taken seriously. Without all the information, the end result could never be fair. It was not. I felt that Katharine was very unprofessional at times. She would talk to me about how my ex-husband’s attorney would say bad things about him and say they laughed about him. It actually made me wonder if she said bad things about me to HIS attorney. Again, I am so disappointed - actually disgusted.

I obtained the services of Lucas Marchant on behalf of my son who is a high school student. Mr. Marchant was very genuine and walked us through the criminal justice process, as well as, the public school procedures involving disciplinary action. Mr. Marchant always kept me up to date on what was taking place and came to the best resolution for our situation that we feel like we could have come to. I would definitely recommend The Marchant Law Firm and would retain his services again if I ever find myself needing a lawyer again.

She went speechless in our hearing and let the defense walk all over us and her. Ultimately leaving us trampled and falsely accused in front of a court full of family and friends.  She stood there, flipping through paperwork, shaking, not knowing the answers to the judges questions which she had in front of her. After paying her a 5 digit retainer "the Butcher" just gave up and convince my husband to give in to the defendants demands and settle. She would only go to trial and continue to help us fight for custody if we paid her another 5 digit + retainer. She was timid, easily intimidated and unprepared. Not worth the money! Do not recommend for complicated custody cases!

My husband and I used Janet, in a custody battle. Janet was like a pit bull. She never backed down. She kept us informed every step of the way, and always kept our daughter's, (my step-daughter) best interest at heart. She was up against a very unsavory laywer, who often lied to his own client, for his own best interest. It's usually very hard for a father to gain custody instead of the mother, without serious cause against the mother, but we won our case. We gained custody of my husband's daughter. She has now graduated high school, and will be off to college in the fall. I have also reccomended Janet Butcher to other friends, who need a feisty pit bull on their case.

Janet failed on every level. I hired her to represent me and instead it felt like she was working on behalf of the other attorney. She did not keep me informed nor did she explain why she chose to go against everything we agreed to do. She prefers to make you settle out of court even if all the terms are not in your favor. Be careful to take any advice from her and do not trust her! She currently has a lawsuit pending against her.

Same experience as the below indivilual below. Thirteen (13) months of a horribly bad experience, when a divorce is hard enough. Very unprofessional. When I complained about his non-responseness he would claim he always returned calls. He would blamed me for not getting his messages. That I had him blocked or my mail server was not working properly. I do not have a server. I was asked to fill out my own legal documents. Which he has not served to the court. Zero legal advise. Nothing accomplished. Already paid him over 8K and he is still billing me. My X's lawyer has done the agreement work so far. Haskins has give my X's lawyer permission to work directly with me.

Thousands of dollars for triple copies that were unnecessary, paying a paralegal $250 an hour to carry his folders to the courthouse, charging for his time while his secretary is typing up reports, and while you are paying for his time and her time, he's on the phone with other clients.

Handled a trafficking case for me in 2012/13. Took a $25000 retainer, then came back for another $10000 5 months later, ostensibly for federal representation. Let me get interviewed by dea without counsel present and justified the fees by implying all along he could get Judge Verdon to give me an illegal sentence. Was ultimately sanctioned by the Disciplinary Counsel of the SC Supreme Court for his handling of my case and the plea he arranged has been withdrawn. I only had to spend 3 years in prison and my family had to spend about another $50000 to achieve this.

What a complete waste of time and my money! I don't even know who Tom Winslow is because I only dealt with receptionists and via email with Allie Brown, an apparent junior attorney at the firm. I provided the firm with over 900 pages of medical documentation pertaining to a malpractice case. Everything was turned over to the "expert" for review. She never met with me one time and the "expert" never asked a single question. I did manage to get onen brief call into her, in which she was able to inform me how much money I would have to pay. Every document that they could have obtained from any doctor I have seen was laid in their laps, so they had to do absolutely nothing to obtain it. All they had to do was review it. After being told in writing that I'd be notified by the end of July if they would proceed, I found out today after sending another email that the answer was no. "I tried calling you last week to talk about your case" was the answer I got from Allie, but there was no voicemails & no missed calls on my phone. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

Ms. Metts would not follow up on my e-mails about questions I had. She was not prepared therefore she did not fight for me. Because of her error items that was suppose to have been in the divorce decree were left out when I brought it to her attention Sept 2016 she said she would explain it to the judge so I can get an amended decree and since then I have been sending her e-mails and to this day it seems as if she is confused about what the issue is. Her explanation on Feb. 28, 2017 sounds like it is left to the opposing attorney for me to have the right to go back to court when the opposing attorney client( which is my ex-husband) has violated the judge order. Overcharged and was not represented.

Worst attorney I've ever been around in my entire life. Totally unprofessional - his office is an absolute mess, unprofessional in every way. Literally papers and folders scattered all over the floor that it's not a wonder that he could never remember any of our case details when we would speak with him. I felt like he couldn't care any less about us. He returns phone calls with emails and letters (who mails letters these days for important, time sensitive information? - LOL). No one ever answers the office phone during business hours. Most importantly, he gave us completely false and inaccurate advice that cost us thousands and thousands of dollars. This is a file, pay and move on type of bankruptcy attorney. These guys are fine if you don't have anything special going on. But if you need ANY other type of assistance other than run-of-the-mill chapter 7/13 filing, before, during, or after your case, then do NOT use this attorney. He seemed completely disinterested as soon as he was paid - my opinion. Seriously, if any of the above sounds like something you want to trust your financial future with, then perhaps Mr. Matthews is your guy. Otherwise steer very, very clear. In summary, he fit every imaginable terrible stereotype of every bankruptcy attorney, ever.

1) B&D gave the opposing counsel all of my “evidence” (my entire flash drive) without requiring any reciprocation (I never saw it) and without them having filed Admissions/Interrogatories/Discovery 2) B&D withheld the fact that the opposing party then filed the above documents against me after they had MY evidence and then waited till weeks past the 30 day deadline to inform me, AFTER they filed motion to compel, forcing me to spend thousands of dollars last second on defense while also composing my counter filings, and all this a only month before the final divorce decree where the opposing party didn't have to answer before the clock ran out...and it did.. wasting thousands on a closed case. See point “*7B” below 3) B&D failed to “CC” me on emails to the opposing party as I had directly requested and then when I inquired, simply told me miraculously she'd been speaking with the opposing lawyer on the phone and their were NO email to copy me on (for nearly 3 months Feb to May) 4) B&D continually emailed (at my expense) the opposing counsel concerning issues that I had already answered or flatly refused including but not limited to: changing the custody exchange point, signing the quit claim to give my Ex my home, adjusting my Summer visitation times ALL completely my purview via my case's court orders and several other issues. Thousands of dollars in emails over nothing or issues already answered by court order or frivolous all together 5) B&D refused to file an RTSC on my behalf (My wife was openly seeing romantic partners and sleeping with them in the same household as my children for months - April-May 2020) when I repeatedly asked Natalie to do so stalling the case for 4 months in the name of “cooperation” and for the Admissions/Interrogatories/Discovery she never filed either to be returned – see above #2 6) B&D failed to review original and standing court documents concerning details about my custody, control of time with the kids time, and financial matters like whether or not I was paying alimony, in what form or even at all. She continually wasted time, money, and negotiated in favor of the opposing party/counsel constantly because she had not reviewed my cases foundational documents (the Temp support order and/or mediated agreement). 7) B&D refused to pursue and file RTSC against the opposing party for perjury on court documents concerning financial documents clearly fraudulent, including work and income not reported by the opposing party - which I had irrefutable proof, keeping my Child support payments unnecessarily high and increasing my expenses far beyond reasonable during the peak of B&D fees as well. Thousands more in cost due to her negligence 8) AND Finally B&D leveraged and risked my entire case by attempting to strong arm me into giving my home to the opposing party by signing a quit claim or she “would quit working for me” I told her no and walked out of the office. She quit. (June/July 2020) 7B - B&D allowed my case and filings to be closed/dismissed with the final divorce decree (without my permission, knowledge, or understanding) essentially wasting the last 5 months of work and nearly 8000$ paid to their office with another 2000 outstanding (approximately).

His performance or lack thee of we abysmal. He never reached out about the progress, we had to call him and then when he returned our calls days later, he never had any answers, only more questions. He never even bothered to contact the probate office to tell them he was representing my sister and I. I had enough and I wrote to the bar association and demanded a refund of our money. Attorney's are very expensive, in return, the least they could do is provide services that are worth their costs. He cost us a lot of time and it was very discouraging.

I hired Natalie to do a simple, uncontested divorce. From the start, I explained that my ex was difficult and we needed to have everything done right the first time. My ex came to her office and signed all of the paperwork- or so I thought. The day of court, she arrived deshelved and entered the courtroom on her iPhone. Why ? Because she was scrolling and googling what to say to the judge. Seriously. I can't make this crap up. Toward the end, the judge flipped through the paperwork and asked where page x was. Come to find out, she forgot a page. The judge granted my divorce but not the agreement (custody, child support, visitation, etc) because of her incompetence. My ex took full advantage and refused to sign the missing page because he said he didn't trust her. She refused to help me any more and said, You got your $500 worth of work from me. Because of her mistake, I had no court order for support or visitation. It took me hiring another attorney, $10k in debt and receiving no child support for over a year to correct her massive screw up. Her error, point blank, cost me years of my life and thousands of dollars. She is a hot mess and shouldn't be allowed to even practice law.

Relatively new attorney in the Strom firm, who is knowledgeable, but is meeting an hourly monthly quota, so your divorce will be dragged on with no forward movement by Patty. Patty also does not play well with others, so do not expect negotiations to happen. Do yourself a favor and keep looking for an attorney that actually wants to settle your case and not destroy your children’s future in the process. Sometime you can be too young and not have enough life experiences to understand the detriment being caused by one’s actions. This is certainly the case with Patty.

THIS WOMAN SCREWED ME LEFT AND RIGHT. SHE TOLD ME A LIE EVERY TIME SHE OPENED HER MOUTH. SHE WOULD ATTEND SCHEDULED HEARINGS THAT I KNEW NOTHING ABOUT, AND ACT AS IF SHE HAD INFORMED ME OF THE DATE AND TIME, BUT NEVER TOLD ME ANYTHING.SHE MADE DECISIONS WITHOUT CONSULTING WITH ME. SHE AGREED TO SEVERAL CHANGES IN THE COURT ORDER, AND WOULDN'T NOTIFY ME. I WOULD HAVE TO FIND OUT BY RECEIVING A COPY OF CHANGED ORDERS IN THE MAIL 1-2 WEEKS LATER. SHE TOLD ME THAT I JUST NEEDED TO GIVE UP AND NOT WORRY ABOUT TRYING TO FIGHT BACK. JUST TO GIVE HIM WHAT HE ASKED FOR. BUT THE WORST IS THAT SHE SAID THAT I AGREED TO GIVE MY DAUGHTERS FATHER SOLE CUSTODY OF MY DAUGHTER, WHICH I HAVE RAISED HER ALONE SINCE BIRTH. THE FATHER WAS NEVER A PART OF HER LIFE CONSISTENTLY. THE DAY OF THE FINAL HEARING I WAS TOLD BY DAVIDA, THAT IF I DIDN'T AGREE TO WHAT THEY (THE FATHER AND HIS ATTY) WANTED, I WOULD GO TO JAIL. SHE REFUSED TO TELL ME WHAT THE AGREEMENT WAS, I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO BECAUSE SHE HAD PUT SO MUCH FEAR IN ME, ALTHOUGH I HAVE NEVER DONE ANYTHING TO LOSE CUSTODY OF MY BABY. I REQUESTED A COPY OF THE TRANSCRIPT FOR APRIL 29, AND WAS TOLD THAT IT WOULD TAKE ONLY 7-10 DAYS TO PREPARE THE TRANSCRIPT. AND THAT I WOULD GET A COPY IN THE MAIL. WELL I GOT A COPY ALRIGHT, ONE THAT SHE HAD REVISED TO MAKE IT LOOK AS IF I GAVE UP AND GAVE HIM EVERYTHING!! LONG STORY SHORT, ON APRIL 29 AFTER I WAS RELEASED FROM THE LEC, MY DAD RECEIVED A CALL FROM DAVIDA, AND SHE WOULD NO LONGER BE MY ATTY. THIS LADY CALLED AND FIRED HERSELF BECAUSE SHE KNEW THAT EVERYTHING SHE DID AND SAID TO ME WAS WRONG, AND SHE KNEW THAT SHE HAD MESSED UP. TO ME IT SEEMS AS THOUGH I WAS PAYING HER TO HAVE MY DAUGHTER TAKEN AWAY FROM ME AND HER BROTHERS. ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT GOD DOES NOT LIKE UGLY AND IT WILL SOON CATCH UP WITH YOU, AND HE WILL HANDLE YOU AND HAVE YOU GO THROUGH A STORM WORSE THAN WHAT SHE PUT ME THROUGH. I WILL SAY IT AGAIN, DO NOT HIRE THIS WOMAN TO REPRESENT YOU IN ANY SHAPE, FASHION, OR FORM FOR ANYTHING!! SHE IS A MONEY HUNGRY PERSON, SHE WILL LIE TO YOU AND TRY TO TAKE EVERY PENNY YOU HAVE.

After reading the review that said that it may seem like she is buddy buddy with the other side, I was hopeful that given enough time all would equal out, but I was sadly mistaken. Her last billing recorded $250.00 of billable time speaking with the other side and Zero, that's right ZERO, time speaking with me. She even paid my stbx a courtesy home visit while I had to practically beg her to visit my home. She believed every word of the lies he told her and never bothered to check even one of them out with me. Her final report was filled with inaccuracies and exaggerations and she recommended full custody for my ex, which he got. Even when I told her my child was a victim of PAS, she wrote in her final report that I called my child a liar. It was a horrible experience, and although I have never before written a review, I felt it necessary in this case.

He is part of the problem, refuses to make arguments that relate to your rights to parent as directed in our constitution and rulings from the supreme court. Does not reply back at all. I recommend a non family law attorney.

He did not provide me with my actual legal rights. I finally discovered my rights upon hiring other lawyers . He charged me MUCH more money than a lawyer with his knowledge charges.

I would recommend you find another attorney. Stephen seems to be a good talker but doesn't follow through, missed my hearing and doesn't respond to calls/messages.

What a Family Law Lawyer Can Do for You

A family law lawyer provides legal services related to family relationships, including marriage, divorce, child custody, and adoption. Family lawyers help clients navigate emotionally charged legal issues, providing guidance and representation in disputes that affect spouses, children, and parents. Whether you're going through a divorce, seeking custody of your children, or drafting a prenuptial agreement, a family law lawyer ensures your rights are protected and your interests are represented.

Family law attorneys often handle sensitive matters and offer objective legal advice, helping clients reach fair outcomes either through negotiation, mediation, or litigation.

When Should I Hire a Family Law Lawyer?

Hiring a family law lawyer is beneficial in several situations, especially when legal matters involve close personal relationships. Common reasons to hire a family law lawyer include:

  • Divorce or separation: When ending a marriage, a lawyer can help you navigate issues such as division of assets, spousal support, and child custody arrangements.
  • Child custody and visitation disputes: If you and your co-parent can't agree on custody or visitation, a lawyer can represent your interests and work toward a solution that benefits your children.
  • Child support: Whether you’re seeking child support or defending against a claim, a lawyer can help ensure the appropriate amount is calculated and enforced.
  • Prenuptial or postnuptial agreements: A lawyer can help draft or review agreements that protect your assets in case of divorce.
  • Adoption: Family law lawyers guide you through the legal process of adoption, ensuring that all requirements are met.
  • Domestic violence or restraining orders: If you're a victim of domestic violence or being falsely accused, a lawyer can help you obtain or challenge protective orders.
  • Paternity cases: If there are questions about the paternity of a child, a lawyer can help establish or dispute legal fatherhood.

Hiring a lawyer early can prevent issues from escalating, and they can offer you the best chance of achieving a favorable outcome in emotionally charged situations.

What Does a Family Law Lawyer Do?

A family law lawyer provides a wide range of services depending on your specific legal needs. Their responsibilities may include:

  • Advising on legal rights and options: Helping you understand your legal rights regarding divorce, child custody, support, and other family law issues.
  • Filing legal documents: Drafting and filing petitions, motions, and agreements with the court, such as divorce papers, custody agreements, or support orders.
  • Representing clients in court: Arguing your case in front of a judge if a settlement can’t be reached through negotiation or mediation.
  • Mediation and negotiation: Assisting with alternative dispute resolution methods, such as mediation, to reach agreements on issues like custody, property division, and support without going to trial.
  • Enforcing court orders: Helping you enforce court orders related to child support, alimony, or custody if the other party fails to comply.
  • Drafting prenuptial or postnuptial agreements: Creating agreements that protect your assets in the event of a divorce.
  • Handling adoption proceedings: Ensuring that the legal process of adoption is followed, from filing paperwork to finalizing the adoption in court.

How Are Family Law Lawyers Paid?

Family law lawyers typically charge clients in one of several ways, depending on the complexity of the case and the lawyer’s experience. Common payment arrangements include:

  • Hourly rates: Most family lawyers charge by the hour, with rates varying based on experience and location. Clients are billed for the time spent working on their case, including consultations, court appearances, and document preparation.
  • Flat fees: For more straightforward legal services, such as drafting a prenuptial agreement or handling an uncontested divorce, some lawyers offer flat-fee arrangements.
  • Retainer fees: In cases that are expected to require significant time and attention, such as contentious custody battles, a lawyer may charge a retainer, which is an upfront payment that covers the initial costs of legal services. The lawyer then bills against the retainer as they work on your case.

The exact cost will depend on the complexity of your case and the lawyer’s fee structure, which should be discussed upfront.

How Much Does a Family Law Lawyer Cost?

The cost of hiring a family law lawyer varies based on factors such as the lawyer's experience, the location, and the complexity of your case. Here are some general cost guidelines:

  • Hourly rates: Family law lawyers typically charge between $150 and $500 per hour, depending on their experience and the complexity of the case.
  • Flat fees: For simpler cases, such as drafting a prenuptial agreement or handling an uncontested divorce, fees may range from $1,000 to $5,000.
  • Retainers: For more complex matters, such as contested divorces or custody battles, lawyers may charge a retainer ranging from $2,500 to $10,000 or more. The lawyer will bill against the retainer for the work they do on your case.
  • Additional costs: You may also be responsible for additional costs, such as filing fees, mediation fees, or expert witness fees.

Always ask for a clear breakdown of the lawyer’s fees and any additional expenses during your consultation.

Top Questions to Ask a Family Law Lawyer

Before hiring a family law lawyer, it's important to ask questions to ensure they're the right fit for your case. Here are key questions to ask during your consultation:

  1. What experience do you have with family law cases like mine?
Make sure the lawyer has experience handling cases similar to yours, whether it's a contested divorce, child custody dispute, or adoption.
  2. How will you charge for your services?
Clarify whether the lawyer charges by the hour, a flat fee, or requires a retainer. Ask for an estimate of the total costs involved.
  3. What are the possible outcomes of my case?
An experienced lawyer should be able to give you a general idea of what to expect based on the facts of your case.
  4. What is your approach to resolving disputes?
Ask whether the lawyer tends to favor negotiation and mediation or whether they prefer to take cases to court. This can help you determine if their style matches your goals.
  5. How long do you expect my case to take?
While it’s difficult to predict, the lawyer should give you an estimate based on similar cases.
  6. Who will be handling my case?
In larger firms, junior attorneys or paralegals may do much of the work, so make sure you understand who will be your main point of contact.

How to Check the Credibility of a Family Law Lawyer

To ensure you're hiring a reputable family law lawyer, follow these steps to verify their credentials and reputation:

  • Check state bar association records: Verify that the lawyer is licensed to practice in your state and is in good standing with no disciplinary actions.
  • Read client reviews and testimonials: Look for reviews on websites like Avvo, Google, or Martindale-Hubbell. Previous clients can give you insight into the lawyer’s professionalism and success in family law cases.
  • Request references: Ask the lawyer for references from past clients who can speak to their experience with the lawyer.
  • Review their website or professional profile: Look at the lawyer’s background, case history, and areas of focus to ensure they have substantial experience in family law.
  • Look for professional memberships: Membership in reputable organizations, such as the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML), can indicate a lawyer's expertise and dedication to family law.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To get the most out of your first consultation with a family law lawyer, it’s important to come prepared. Here’s what you should bring:

  • Relevant documents: Bring any documents related to your case, such as marriage certificates, prenuptial agreements, financial records, custody agreements, or court orders.
  • List of assets and debts: For divorce cases, prepare a detailed list of all assets (e.g., homes, bank accounts, retirement funds) and debts (e.g., mortgages, loans, credit card balances).
  • Details of the family issue: Provide a written summary of the situation, including key dates and facts related to your divorce, custody dispute, or support issue.
  • Questions for the lawyer: Write down any questions you have about the legal process, costs, and potential outcomes.
  • Your goals: Be prepared to discuss your objectives, such as custody arrangements, property division, or spousal support, so the lawyer understands your priorities.

Being organized and clear about your situation will help the lawyer evaluate your case more effectively and offer the best advice for moving forward.
