She was my attorney for over two years. I really feel I did most of the work and she charged me for it. I was never charged paralegal rates for simple tasks or quick emails, she always charged me her full rate. She and her paralegal were incompetent when it came to navigating basic google drive etc. I had entire drive prepared myself with folders of evidence and information and neither of them could navigate it. Plenty of times she was unprofessional towards me, the opposing counsel and the judge. She often made me feel uncomfortable or stupid for asking questions about my own case or proceedings. On one occasion she called me an hour before our big trial claiming to have "lost" all the documents and requesting I bring all my own copies. She was then late to that trial, annoying the judge. During the trial she let the opposing counsel talk circles around her. It wasn't until I no longer used her services and did the continuing litigation on my own that I started actually getting the results I desired and began avoiding unnecessary or prolonged litigation. If you are searching for a legit attorney who will work FOR YOU I strongly recommend you hire someone other than Rita Ros-Planas.

I consulted with Ms. Ros-Planas in an emergency child custody situation when a family member took my nephew across state lines without permission. She knew exactly how to handle the situation and did so in a very caring manner. She even followed up to confirm the child's safe return, though I ended up not needing to hire her. Alison anders commits legal malpractice and is a professional liar. She refused to take me as a client solely on the basis she thinks I'm too poor. She charged me 450 for a 15 minute consultation where she rudely insinuated I have no right to my son. Shes a professional scam artist that uses her career to steal from people. She should be prison. I hired Michelle to help my boyfriend out with a bond amend. I paid $500 to have this done. She NEVER requested to have a bond amend added to the docket . We live out of state , I hired her on a Monday & DIDNT hear anything unless I texted her. She ignored the calls. She only texted me 2 times. Met with my boyfriend for 20 minutes . Her excuse was they have to send the file to the DA. I contacted the DA and JDRC and they said that is not true; it can be heard by the judge same day. I informed her in a text that I spoke with JDRC & the DA and what they said and she told me I never spoke with anyone . I told her I was letting her go because she has done absolutely nothing and I was hiring another lawyer. She only refunded me $218. Took the remaining out of the $500 for a 20 minute visit & two texts she sent. I let her go on Thursday and hired someone else. My new lawyer got my boyfriends bond amend & arraignment on the docket the next day & he’s now on his way back home. This attorney is a joke . First time I spoke with her you can hear her smoking and blowing out the smoke while on the phone. Completely unprofessional. To top it all off, there was nothing signed between her & I. I will be reporting her & I hope no one else uses her. She WILL waste your money.

All these negative reviews are reflected off of attorney Mapp not her staff. She was always late for appointments and when the client would call to get an update she would want them to get on the calendar just to speak to her and then would end up not being able to keep that appointment. It's deplorable how she ran that office!!! It's a wonder she's able to keep anybody working for her because she takes full advantage of the employees that stay for an extended period of time and goes through them like a roll of toilet paper.

This place does not do what you paid them to do. Actually, they take their sweet time. She makes excuses but I don't care. You have my payment in full. If you can't do your job offer my money back and let me move on. But that would be too much like right. Over a year later and I am still in limbo. There are never updates unless you hound the office. They wait weeks to tell you other items are needed and you still only find that out after you hound them for an update. A simple matter that should be done already.

Hiring Ms. Mapp as your attorney in a civil matter is equivalent to going to a used car dealership on the turnpike and getting a 10 year old car for 25% interest.
She does not advocate for you, she or her staff does not respond or complete tasks. When asked about the status of the case that should have been completed months ago, she states that the case is not a priority. She submits incomplete files to the court with no follow up and expects the client to know what to do. Lawyers are hired to SUBMIT COMPLETED files to the court.
I do not recommend hiring this lawyer unless you want to deal with disrespect and incompetence from her or her staff.
She prolongs cases so that she can continue to get paid.

Darrell Harding took on our very complex case that had been ongoing for years. I wish we had contacted him first; he is absolutely amazing and knows the law very well. He is also very knowledgeable in military laws and regulations. You cannot put a price on the joy that he brought to my wife's and I lives with the work that he did for us. I regret to inform that my experience with The Coastal Virginia Law Firm Of Brook M. Thibault P.C. was profoundly disappointing and lacked the professional rigor one would expect. Engaging Mr. Thibault as my attorney, I anticipated a robust advocacy for my interests. Unfortunately, the reality was a hurried and disjointed process that led to a custodial agreement deeply unsatisfactory to my needs—one that was not only settled without my prior consent but also executed without my signature.
The lack of communication was a significant issue throughout the process, exacerbated by the non-cooperation of the opposing party. Despite these challenges, the expectation was that my legal representation would navigate these complexities with professional diligence. Instead, there was a premature rush to resolution, evidenced by Mr. Thibault’s unilateral decisions to sign off on agreements and letters without my input.

I have known Anna for over 11 years now. She was there at the onset of my divorce and hand held me through many facets of the process despite sometimes being a bit of a pain in her side. Anna Clark Sas was a godsend for my family! Our son for filed custody for his infant son after it was proven mom suffered from mental illness and stated she didn’t want baby. I was told that Virginia was a mom favored state when it came to fathers getting custody. Anna took the time to review all documents and there were many over the course of many many months (almost 2 years) and no shows from mom. She got my son more than we even imagined. Anna got to know our family and village and trusted we had the best interest of the child. We are very thankful for her assistance

If there zero star I will choose it. Ms. Hadley good in sending you invoice but not a good fighter. She charged me 61,000 in 8 months. Lost all my cases with her. The ironic thing that my ex sign a prenuptial contract to pay all the legal fees. When the judge saw the way she charges me he ordered that my ex pay 25000 only cause she changed me in ridiculous way my ex attorney send someone to retake a document from Hadley office she charged me 200 dollars. After all of this the judge give her one week to finish the divorce decree she is behind 4 weeks now. I had physical custody from the beginning then the ex file to have the custody 50/50 she could not keep the full custody for me and he wins. I have been I full time mother since my kids born my son is 10 years now. She could not help me to have full spouse support and the judge imputed my spouse support 17.50 per hour. I am asking her to give a hard copy from my orders her office refuses to help me and prepare this for me to pick up. After the judge ordered to close the case after one week from the trial she is behind 4 weeks and I called several times to set deadline with her to close the case and she does not want to give a deadline and he does not want to close the case. Every month she was charging me from 7 to 10 thousand dollars. I do not know how to say that but when she talks in the court judge does not consider her talk. Not strong fighter. Something also I did not like she charged me all this money and in the court she does not talk too much infront of the judge. Every time she was talking to the judge she talks about 5 minutes. The ex attorney was talking and reading from papers. The performance so weak, the invoices huge.
Update: now they decree is not entered yet, so Ms Hadley had 25000 to be paid by the ex. So, what they do Ms. Hadley and the other attorney of the ex black mail me that if I do not sign the deeds of the houses they will not enter the decree in the court and when I said I am not going to sign the deed till he refinance the house under my name they said ok we will enter the decree tomorrow. Consulting other attorney, they said it is black mail. Gathering with my ex against me so he pays her the balance. After I called her and I said to her you are black mail me you and the ex attorney, answer was you do not have to sign now the deeds. Really, I have been told if I do not sign the deeds they will not send the decree to the court and they will take me to the court. Too much money and poor service.
Update: the receptionist is the most disrespectful person you will meet in the Virginia beach law offices. She is discriminator. Second, after all of this experience and charges Ms. Hadley saying that she worked for free. Also, the decree that has been sent to the court to be signed was rejected by the the office of the judge cause it has a list of corrections that she has to correct so the judge has to sign it. This decree has to be finished in beginning of my now we are 30th of june.
Update: here is the result she does not want to finish the case and the divorce decree. The ex does not want to Pay the child support and spouse support and she does not do any thing for that. She does not care about me or my kids and I do not know why she wants to stay in my life. She just send invoices. I am telling ms. Hadley the ex did not pay the support, she answered back ( go find a job). Wow
Update: now we are about to be in August and Ms. Hadley does not want to finish up my divorce decree and she said that she will keep sending me invoices as long as the case opened and I want to close the case and have my decree. I think she keeps the case opened to keep charging me. I am asking here when she will finish the divorce decree her answer is she does not know

I hired Mr. Sullivan for custody visitation and child support case let’s just say he talks a good game to get your money as time goes by he does not respond to your emails or calls I would not recommend this attorney. I paid $2500 my results are worse than when we started I don’t have visitation with my child anymore I feel like he was a waste of money shop around.

Mr, Sullivan has represented myself twice and a referred friend of mine twice. He is outstanding with his knowledge, research, case handling/resolving, and is extremely prompt to respond via email communication. Wonderful legal fee amounts for outstanding representation. I came to Mr. Mettler with my child custody case. As a client of his and single mother of 2 small children, I highly recommend him. All good attorneys are very busy but he always came through as needed. Not only is he well knowledgeable about the law, he was always compassionate and empathetic to my situation. I never felt that Mr. Mettler was “out to take my money”. In fact I feel the opposite. Throughout my case I feel Mr. Mettler did everything he could to keep my case as cost effective as possible. Not to mention his awesome paralegal Tammy! All my calls with questions were answered promptly. I was always kept informed with any proceedings in my case. The big difference: he took the time to listen, was honest and proficient, able to correctly assess what I was truly up against and enlist my options. He then probed my opponent's strengths, investigated the issue thoroughly, and planned the best course of action from the outset.

I would strongly suggest that anyone going thru a divorce to seek counsel ANYWHERE else than hiring David Mettler as your attorney. After over a year and close to ten thousand dollars later, no progress has been made. He is consistently at least 45 minutes late to every appointment as well as unable to ever call you at all when you've made a phone conference. He will and continued to go around your wishes to extend a case just to bill you more and rack up your legal fees. He is extremely arrogant for someone who clearly knows minimal in divorce cases. Do yourself a service and hire any other attorney other than David Mettler.

The only efficient thing about this firm is the receptionist. Communication is sorely lacking and your amount will be much less than suggested, and not because of lawyer fees, but because they will forget to file a bill sent to them. They cost me $2,800 of my own money. From a suggested amount to my pocket of $7,000 to $10,000 down to $2,000 after almost a year. This was from a total loss accident, not at fault, with emergency room visit, x-rays, and months of Physical Therapy and lost wages. I would have made more money taking pain medication and going back to work full-time than following this attorney's plan.
I cannot recommend a different accident attorney more. For your sake, please seek other representation.

No help here. Will give you up to the lowest bidder. How can you even sit through him shaking to finish listening to him lie and try to convince you he has your best interests? Don't waste your finger strength dialing this number. If it's anything against the court you've automatically lost with him. The only reason I believe they allow him to still practice is because of the cases he loses as a court-appointed. Which violates the guidelines of indigent counseling for Virginia and several rules of the American Bar Association. This man wrote the court and told the people I said I wasn't coming to the court. That was his attempt to have himself removed instead of filing motions that benefited my case. Section 19.2-163.01(A)(4). Model Rules of Professional Conduct.

Ms. Pack did the absolute bare minimum for me and my custody case. She had all the information and evidence needed to make a very strong win, yet did almost nothing. She was unprepared for every hearing and trial, did not present any of the pages upon pages of documentation I provided her, and basically just stood up and told the judge that it's in the kids' best interest to be with me, without showing the hard facts right in front of her. i would've been better off representing myself! She very clearly doesn’t care, or doesn’t know what she’s doing.

I was referred to Ashli from a couple of people who had used her for their divorces in the past. Divorce is a very emotional situation to be in, Ashli helped calm any fears. She was able to help guide me in what many "standards" there were for specific items related to insurance, life insurance, secondary education, etc. Ashli was efficient and timely in completing my case, and she was always upfront about items that were irrelevant to the divorce.

If I could have given Nicole zero stars, I would have. I have never seen a more one sided attorney in my life. During the most important court case I’ve ever had to deal with (custody), She gave the most inaccurate, opinionated prospectives I’ve ever witnessed. She never viewed ANY of my supporting documents and literally spoke to me for 5 minutes during a custody hearing. That is hardly enough time to make a determination on the rightful guardianship of a child.
I would not hire her to represent my goldfish let alone leave my lively hood in her hands.
Good luck to whoever is forced to have her as court appointed anything.

I have NEVER seen someone so sloppy and unprofessional in the court room. She would blatantly flirt with my ex husband in front of the entire court room. She was supposed to represent my child but was in his back pocket the entire time. She spoke to me for exactly 44 minutes through our entire (months long) process meanwhile she was running to my ex after the court hearings. Offered him a home visit I didn’t get, and blatantly LIED to the courtroom and in her evaluation. I hired Ms. Lee for my divorce and criminal case. For my divorce case, she left me in court. I gave her all my savings and she did not even finish my divorce. For the criminal case, she didn't do her own investigation. She kept judging me like if she wasn't my lawyer. I WILL NOT recommend Ms. Lee at all. No matter in what situation your in, please shop around before you hire someone like Ms. Lee. She will only take your money and won't do her job.

I hired this attorney to represent me for a traffic & civil infraction. After evidence required by discovery was shared by the arresting department Mr. Jack’s proceeded to inform me of my guilt and what the judge would sentence me possibly without even looking at or considering the discovery evidence. He neglected to even watch my arrest or what transpired on the video provided to my disappointment.
Mr. Jack’s did not want to do the job for which I hired him and was just going through the motions to collect the money I paid him for defense. I suggest hiring an attorney that will defend you instead of one who just agrees with the prosecution to push you through the system.

Beware. This attorney is very deceptive. She presents well but once you hire her it is near impossible to get her to act on your behalf. She will take as much money as she can get from you but do nothing to help you prevail in court. Very unprepared and very dishonest. Hopefully this will help someone make a better choice. There are too many other reputable attorneys out there that have integrity. She is just looking for people who are vulnerable that she can take advantage of for financial gain.
