Once considered taking a plea deal since I couldn't afford a long drawn out court process. He encouraged me that it would not be for nothing. Told me, without a hint of hesitation, that it would be okay. Now 2 years later, I went from fighting a felony assault charge to a NOT Guilty to the same case. I don't ever want to be in trouble again, but it is apparent that I will call Zach first and foremost.

Cordt Cullen Akers seems to lack the strategic foresight needed for effective defense. My experience was particularly disappointing as he pushed for a plea deal without thoroughly reviewing the evidence. This was especially frustrating when other defendants in the same case had their charges dismissed, suggesting the case might have lacked merit. His background as a former prosecutor might not translate well into defense strategy, leading to decisions that could be seen as overly cautious or misaligned with the client's best interests. I would caution against hiring him if you're looking for aggressive defense or a thorough case review. His approach might not be suited for everyone, especially in cases where a nuanced defense is crucial.

It involves 3 hospitals in lurking (wound care,)chi hospital in livingston and kingwood hospital on 59 I was referred to wound care by my dialysis team was told I needed to b in hospital because she said she could feel bone inside a hole infected bottom right foot but didn't have a podiatrist on staff and sent me to livingston hospital(same chain) was told there he has seen boils worse than that gave me a prescription for antibiotics and sent me home there was a exray done of my foot at livingston it stated the bone was infected .I couldn't deal with pain any longer my whole leg was real red by this time went to kingwood hospital on 59 and is a part of chi hospital chain. 1st cut off my right toe after 3 to 4 days sent me to rehab part of hospital where the nurse that checked me in,told me to sit on the bed she put no bed rIls up and I feel on cement floor when I woke up they told me 5hey incubate me (for a right toe amputation) they called my son In middle of night and asked permission to incubate me to save my life, I was supposed to b there for at max a week ,ended being there 16 to 19 days all took place last Parton may till end of June. My Son was facing serious felony criminal charges which could have resulted in multiple years in prison. In all honesty in Mr. Poe being his court appointed attorney we really were not expecting much. Sadly this wasn’t my sons first time in trouble and our experience with both hired and court appointed attorneys hasn’t been the best. They’ve often been difficult to reach and we’ve found ourselves to be just another case file. This wasn’t the case with Brian Poe. Not only did we find him extremely knowledgeable in federal criminal law, he was compassionate and treated my son and our family with respect. He took NUMEROUS calls from my son and myself and always took the time to explain every step of the process. Brian actually would take the time to message me when he would meet with my son just to let me know that he was doing okay. He’s genuinely just a good man. In our experience with Mr. Poe we found him to be a dedicated, knowledgeable attorney with a great working relationship with both the DA and the courts. I was on the receiving end of false reports which led to charges against me. It took 3 years until the charges were dropped, but Ken stuck with it, patiently answering my questions and holding power to account along the way. The adversarial system isn't designed to be easy, but even by those standards, it was a slog. I was indicted for multiple felonious charges stemming from an on-duty shooting while employed as a police officer.

If someone asked me do I know a good attorney, I’d say I know an EXCELLENT attorney and her name is Letitia Quinones.
Back in 2007, I needed legal assistance to help with a criminal case. A gentleman I met told me to contact the attorney he knew. Hi everyone, appreciate your help with this. I had 3 Amex cards that were all used for business across 2 businesses. Two payments on one of those cards (related to a business that was struggling) was missed in the summer of 2019 which resulted in all 3 cards being cancelled by Amex (the other 2 cards, related to the same business had no perfect payment history). That card which was opened in 2016 eventually went into collections and charged off. Which brought down my credit score to 450, I also had delinquent accounts, deeds in lieu of foreclosure. Mr. Barrera, Jr. was my attorney in a DTPA /Product Liability case that involved 4 international corporations. He was a wonderful Plaintiff's Attorney! He kept me up to date on all petitions and motions filed by the defendants and all that were filed on my behalf. I was indicted on 1st degree murder. Adam had previously been my lawyer for a separate charge. I called him and he took the case. He fought for a year on my behalf, and kept me and my family updated along the way. He did not buckle under the pressure the prosecution was applying, even when they told him that if I didn't accept their deal they would pick up all 4 charges and take me to trial on them . (3 1st dg. Felonies, 1 misdemeanor) He got the 1st dg. Murder charge dropped, the other charges were let go, and I did not have to go to prison for life. He is a life saver.

They literally never answer their phones or sms. law must be a hobby and not a career. They represented my fiance and rarely responded to me, and then i attempted to rehire them, because they are already familiar with the case, and we need paperwork handled to lower his sentence, Ive been calling for 3 days, and still no response. Just lazy. I think ill stick to New York lawyers. I wouldn’t recommend.

Without going into too much detail about what I was being accused of, my case was a life changing one. I was being accused of one of the worst things human being can be accused of.
