If someone asked me do I know a good attorney, I’d say I know an EXCELLENT attorney and her name is Letitia Quinones.
Back in 2007, I needed legal assistance to help with a criminal case. A gentleman I met told me to contact the attorney he knew. The attorney he knew did not end up being the Counsel, but Letitia was given the case. Not knowing what to expect, I was extremely grateful for Letitia because she was honest and laid the cards on the table. There was no guessing or leaving without understanding. She was great! We never know why things happen the way that they do, but God sent us an Angel.

Greg has helped with a complicated marijuana related offense that could have resulted in a prison sentence and was able to get a reasonable probation granted and the ability to keep working without a Texas prison record. I recommend him. Hi everyone, appreciate your help with this. I had 3 Amex cards that were all used for business across 2 businesses. Two payments on one of those cards (related to a business that was struggling) was missed in the summer of 2019 which resulted in all 3 cards being cancelled by Amex (the other 2 cards, related to the same business had no perfect payment history). That card which was opened in 2016 eventually went into collections and charged off. Which brought down my credit score to 450, I also had delinquent accounts, deeds in lieu of foreclosure. Following the advice found on this site about PINNACLE CREDIT SPECIALIST how they’ve been helping people to get a good credit score I contacted them immediately and explained my dilemma to them which he promised to fix the situation. I sent the necessary information which was needed to get my job done. Within 3 days all negative items have been deleted and my credit score has been raised to TU 801, EQ 809, EXP 811. Mr. Barrera, Jr. was my attorney in a DTPA /Product Liability case that involved 4 international corporations. He was a wonderful Plaintiff's Attorney! He kept me up to date on all petitions and motions filed by the defendants and all that were filed on my behalf. He was very quick to answer all my phone calls and was very conscientious to use language I would understand when explaining the legal jargon being used in the motions and pleadings etc..... He allowed me to be present during several depositions and accepted any input from me very respectfully. Gregory Simmons was appointed for my husband's case recently. Luckily the case was dropped about as quick as it was charged. This attorney is definitely on top of his stuff though. When he went to visit my husband he had paperwork for my husband to fill out so he could talk to me. Also he had a plan as to what the next steps of action he was taking would be. He was well prepared. When I contacted his office they were very helpful and let me know what was being requested and the status. When I called back as requested a few days later, we were advised that because the case was dropped before the request was completed there was nothing more available. I have no doubt that if we would have needed to proceed further with more time that this attorney would have been great representation for my husband.

After I was arrested I searched for and spoke to numerous lawyers and felt no confidence. I began looking through the"Top 22 Lawyers" list and found the Law Offices of Daniel and Hudson. I spoke with the paralegal Brittany and she had a lawyer call me back within minutes. After speaking with the lawyer, Mr. Halstead (a military Veteran) I was more at ease and knew this was the right lawyer. The up front cost wasn't ridiculous and he was already making a plan on how to move forward. We spoke often at his office answering any questions I had and he also called me to let me know what was going on with my case. My charges were very serious and I was originally looking at a possible 25 years, but with his advice to hold out for a better outcome, it was 8 yrs, then it was just probation then it was dismissed. I owe it to Mr. Halstead for his knowledge of the criminal justice system and knowing when and how to present his case. I was in a big messy divorce and allegations arose of misconduct with my child ( to put it mildly ). After putting money down with a criminal lawyer that I will not name, I saw the beginning of a scary path because the lawyer lacked sufficient experience in these type of cases. So I looked up the Daniel and Hudson law firm and decided to present my case.
I was informed of what to expect and what not to expect. But throughout the conversations I’ve seen the experienced lawyers treating this case with diligence. Having used numerous attorney's in the past I know that it is hard to find a good one that does not want to retire on you. I have used D. A'Hern for several differant cases with myself and my family and I will continue to use him in the future as well as refer family and friends. He took the time to explain the process that I was going through and at each step explained what was happening, what I could expect and how we were going to achive the desired result. I found that he was very knowedgeable and responded in a timely manner when I asked questions about the probate process and how to proceed. This process has been very difficult to deal with since there are several family members involved and he has continued to help focus on the task at hand even when your personal character is attacked for trying to fulfill the last wishes of a loved one. John Toland is my hero! He is a down to earth, sincere professional. I recommend the Peek & Toland firm 100% - they gave me 110%. We won one of the most difficult cases with the odds completely stacked against us. I would say at least 90% of other Austin law firms would have lost my case. I say this because other firms I brought my case to were very negative on the case. While Peek & Toland were not exactly positive on my case, they were willing to exhaust every possible avenue under the law to win the case, and they did!

I was referred to Charles Thompson to represent me in court after my arrest in West University, Houston, TX. My court date came much more quickly than I had expected, so I called him the day before I was expected in court, and he began representing me. He was not pushy, but quickly and fully informed me of the levity of my situation. His retainer was more reasonable than other quotes I received. He helped me build a positive defense from day 1. He was also familiar with the court of West University and several prosecuting attorneys, so he confidently explained the process that he would go through in trying to resolve my case. I checked in with him once per week while attending college out of state. He inquired with West U and its attorneys about my case, view dashboard camera footage, and communicated all findings to me. Mr. Gilmore is a ex student of my parents so it was a “no brainer” when it came to who we should hire! I had a pretty lengthy criminal history and when this all happened I was “living right”!! I had changed my life completely around! I was on nueces county’s top ten most wanted because I got indicted almost 3 years after being charged with possession of a controlled substance. The prosecutor was trying to hit me with “career criminal” which means enhancement and could face 25 years! Mr. Gilmore did a awesome job and was able to get me probation!!! I highly recommend him! Howard was very personable and seemed to truly have my best interests at heart. My family member was accused of a crime near Lubbock Tx and incarcerated . He was beaten and sent to the hospital while in police custody. They had no proof and no witnesses whatsoever and he was humiliated just because he was illegal. Cynthia took our case and within a month all charges were dropped and deported. She's the best! My experience with mr.parras comes after he was appointed to represent me on appeal out of the southern district of texas. From day one Mr parras showed his best interest in the outcome of this case.. I was charged with a federal 371 conspiracy and aiding and abetting false statements to various federal firearms dealers... was handed and 168 month sentence... during preparation of the appeal Mr parras kept me well informed on updates with the case. He argued that the evidence presented by the government was insufficient to establish the federal jurisdiction elements of the crime I was charged with and that the government evidence on its face is insufficient to establish the very important element... Mr parras explained to the judges at the 5th circuit court of appeals that the government hadn't met it's burden of proof... the government tried to argue that the forms they presented were sufficient to establish this element but a license number bearing no date of issuance of expiration without more could not have proved this element beyond a reasonable doubt no more than assuming that a driver of a vehicle posses a valid drivers license... agreeing with Mr parras the court of appeals reversed the convictions and remanded the case for dismissal... Mr parras put his best foot forward and was very professional at all times of this ongoing battle many thought was a lost cause... I want too thank Mr parras for allowing me too have my life back... I would highly recommend him to any one...

Having only recently finalized Mr. Parras for counsel and representation I will update this review upon conclusion of my case (or immediately in the event of the any extremely unexpected and/or unfortunate developments); however, I'm extremely optimistic given the attention to detail in regards to both the particulars of my case, as well as intrest in me as a person. It's obvious that Mr. Parras believes that an intimate understanding of the client bears directly upon the outcome of legfal proceeding. While I find Mr. Parras to be intelligent, articulate, and details oriented, I believe, these characteristics can be assumed for any attorney of average or better quality...even those of poorer quality. However, the more illustrious or successful the attorneys, the rarer to find those genuinely interested in clients as people, and motivated as if on a personal level, to pursuing a clients interest ass one would expect for a family member. The first thing Robin McCarty did was lay out my case, the possibilities - both good and bad - with straight forward, even if brutal, honesty. Many people have ended up with dire consequences because their case was sugar coated and made to look like no problem. Robin sits with you and tells you the truth.
Robin then carefully, patiently, guided me through the process for almost two years - the end result was a full dismissal of charges.
One unique thing about Robin, he was a former peace officer and previous prosecutor - so he understood both sides of the system. This was tremendously helpful.
I call him Robin because he is a really great guy and it didn't take long before I realized he truly cares about his clients and is just as concerned about their future as any loved one would be.

Mr. Turner in addition to being knowledgeable and skilled, he is above all else, personable. His colleague Joan Marron is equally accomplished at her craft. My son got into an unfortunate mess by being at a college Frat party that was raided. He received a Minor in Consumption. Being lazy, he didn't take his required class and a non-compassionate Judge suspended his driving license for 6 months. Being naive, my son was caught driving with a suspended license. Mr. Turner and Ms. Marron were able to get the charges dropped. This was the exact re-set button my son needed. Much of my son's trouble can be attributed to him being very depressed. He is a great kid that needed a fresh start. Mr. Turner and Ms. Marron gave that to him. Our family is very grateful.

Great lawyer my son got credit time served for the 3 days he was in jail and and had the felony reduced down to a misdemeanor with a plea of guilty on a case that he could have spent no less then two years in prison for but up to an maximum of 7 years that he could have been sentenced to that were based off of tampering with electrical lines and down to theft of services . I would definitely hire this man because he actually cares about his clients and it shows through the work he does to handle their cases.
