John is a big clown and a lier, he will fill you up with promises, and num you until you pay him in full, after that he will get aggressive with you and moody, John will act that he cares for you but in reality all he wants you to do is to plea guilty,
John is very dishonest person, I got threatened numerous times that he will withdraw if I insist to not plea guilty.
Please save yourself time and money and find you a better attorney who doesn’t work against you

Few months ago I got a reckless driving ticket , I talked five or six lawyers before I decided on Mr.Clingan. it was my first time going to court for anything so I got a free consultation. Mr.Clingan took his time and gave me a very descriptive overview of my legal options , and what he could offer, his rates are very fair, and he doesn’t use fear tactics to get your business. Mr.Clingan is very responsive to texts/calls and he seems like one of the few who genuinely care about their client. I am extremely pleased with his services.
I also agree with the other 5 star reviewers he seems to be the best traffic attorney in the area. I’ll be referring him to any family or friends who end up in a similar situation.

Unfortunately I had 2 incidents within a 6 month period that I needed a lawyer for but fortunately I had Ms. Corcoran! For the first incident, a felony hit and run she reduced it to a misdemeanor and I was able to keep my license in addition to just being such a calming energy in the midst of what felt like the worst storm ever. Ms. Debra Desmore Corcoran esq. was able to take time out of her very busy schedule to consult with me on a matter that I was continuously hitting dead ends on for numerous days & it was exhausting and disappointing. In December of 2015, I was accused of four felonies and a misdemeanor in Lorton, Va. These charges, if convicted, carried a mandatory sentence of 48 years. I went for a trial and Ms Wright said she would fight for me and she did. I was handed a malicious indictment by a prosecutor who wanted a conviction by any means necessary (I was a retired U.S. Army veteran in deep trouble).
I knew I had a good lawyer at the opening statement, she came in strong and confident, the prosecution was out matched from the start of the proceedings. During the trial process, Ms Wright highlighted the discrepancies in the allegations made against me with pinpoint accuracy. Her cross examination of the witnesses dismantled the credibility of my accusers and during her closing arguments she tore apart the accusations, the police, as well as the state, with no fear. As a result of a three day trial, I was found - NOT GUILTY-

Attorney Caldwell is an excellent attorney and I would highly recommend her. I hired her for victim representation during an assault case and I was extremely nervous about the proceedings and the possibility of testifying. Attorney Caldwell had several meetings with me to make sure I felt prepared, met with me early before the court case and stayed with me during the whole trial explaining every step of the case to make sure I understood. While I'm sure this wasn't her most challenging case, she gave me her full attention throughout the procedure, which ended in our favor. I was falsely accused of extremely serious criminal offenses for which I was interrogated, charged, arrested, jailed, tried (jury trial), and eventually acquitted. I was initially charged with 4 felonies that grew to 6 felonies after having been indicted before a grand jury. I was facing the possibility of life in prison for things I didn't do and Mr. Bruns believed in my innocence and fought extremely hard for the truth from day one. From that first phone call I made to him in a completely terrified condition through all the court hearings and procedures all the way up to the day I walked out of that courtroom having been rightfully acquitted, Mr. Bruns brilliantly and passionately represented and defended me. Mr. Bruns also represented me at my expungement hearing which was granted by the judge and subsequently completed. Not only is Mr. Bruns an extremely skilled attorney, I observed through several court appearances and hearings that he is very highly regarded and respected in and out of the courtroom. Mr. Bruns' exceptional skill, along with our faith, got us through the most difficult situation of our lives and I owe my freedom to him. Marvin is a great lawyer. He is very knowledgeable about the law and will work your case. I ended up firing my previous attorney and Marvin represented me in a Grand Larceny case. It was a minor offense but because I was already serving a sentence, and this would have been my second conviction, he got me off with a slap on the wrist. I ended up doing less time and sentenced to less than the first judge sentenced me to.
Marvin has a very dry humor and often that is how he tells you what is going on. This might turn off some people. At first, it turned me off but I realized that this was just his personality and how comes off. In a way, he did not sugarcoat anything. I had that problem with my first attorney. I ended up with a 2 year sentence because he mishandled my case. I was guilty but in our society you get what you pay for in terms of legal representation. I paid heavily and did not get what I paid for(First Attorney). Marvin was the exact opposite. He was pricey at almost $9000 (Thank god to family and friends) but I was very pleased with the service. His office staff are very warm and nice too(Catherine). I am grateful to her for always getting my messages to Marvin, and my family when I could not reach them.
They bent over backwards to try to help me deal with my sentence. At times I would call them to contact my family or to make sure I was getting treated fairly in jail/prison. They always went above and beyond.They even wrote a letter to the Warden to get back on a medication I was taking. They had decided to take me off of it even though it was working but a bit pricey(They will get you on cheap stuff in there to cut costs). Thanks to a letter from Marvin, I was placed back on the medication. I do not know what would have happened if I was not placed back on this medication. It was one of the only ones that worked.
If you are looking for a good attorney in Fairfax County or Northern Virginia you should consider Marvin Miller. At least you will know you got your moneys worth. He is very professional and in the courtroom conducted himself like an attorney. He stood up to the prosecutor like he was suppose to, and asked the Judge for leniency. My previous attorney was scared and shaking. You need an attorney with balls, that is aggressive, and can get you the least amount of punishment if you are already going to be punished.
The legal system in Virginia is ridiculous, and in Fairfax County even more horrifying. So you need someone who can keep you out of trouble. Marvin Miller is the man!!!! I hope I do not need his services again because I am leading a straight and narrow life, but you bet I would call him again if it came to it.

I was I charged with theft in Roanoke. I explained my charged to Mrs. Federico she listen and told me up front what my story sounded like and believed me. I did not steal anything, but she told me it was going to be very hard or to even get this dismissed. We went to court did the whole process. In the end she got the case dismissed. I admit I have do many things in my life and have never took anything from anyone before in my life. When I hired Mrs. Derrico I had been clean from drugs for 18 months. When I was using for 2yrs of my life I never took anything from anyone. Mrs. Derrico was upfront and honest with me and even put up with high strung fear of this charge. She believed me and I placed my faith in her. Believe if want to complaint about the cost of a lawyer then go with court a appointed lawyer and take your chances. Hiring a good lawyer is worth your future. To Mrs. Derrico is that lawyer. She was wonderful and did not play games. She was stright forward and did not tell me something to give me false hope.
