It was a pleasure working with Nick and his paralegal, Annabella Chin. Nick was very responsive and he went out of his way to counsel my wife and I on multiple questions, legal or otherwise, related to closing on our first home purchase. He was consistently proactive and available for a call. He was very knowledgeable and helpful, and he ensured we had our ducks in a row so that our closing process went on without a hitch. In coordination with our realtor, Nick made certain that the closing occurred on the date as previously agreed. When the attorney on the seller side was unresponsive, Nick and his team went as far as completing all legal paperwork that the other attorney was supposed to complete. Above and beyond. My experience with Ms. Tarafa was at first a difficult one as my case was being investigated and discovery and depositions were being scheduled. I was facing up to 15 years in Federal Prison. Ms. Tarafa's demeanor is that of a pitbull in a skirt when it comes to defending her clients, regardless of guilt. Her background having worked for the State Attorney serves as an excellent frame of reference in her negotiations. She's upfront with her clients, but also empathetic enough to get to know who she's dealing with. After negotiations with the State, Ms. Tarafa was able to assist me in a plea deal and sentencing that was favorable and was able to help me "avoid the worse case scenario."
If you find yourself in a tough legal situation, you want Ms. Tarafa on your side - she will give you all the facts and those are scary to hear most of the time, but she will also assist you in assuring that, as she told me after my first hearing, "will fight to get you the results that are best for your lifestyle." She certainly delivered, I'm writing this review from work and I can carry on with my life under community control, no tether, with reporting to a PO once a week which is certainly better than 15 years in Federal Prison that would've stripped me of a normal life.
I am forever indebted to Ms. Tarafa for her determination to assist her clients.

I haven't had the best experience with lawyers in the past. But, Ms. Nina Tarafa had our complicated case and did beyond wonders for us with a huge victory. When I met her for the first time, I heard a knowledgeable professional with a logical course of action to successfully win the case. She is competent, highly skilled, understanding, compassionate, displays the highest ethics, and is aggressive in court when she has to be and she never gives up on the case. She keeps you informed, always makes herself available as soon as she is able to, even if it is just to see how you are doing, she shows you exactly the work and plan that she is going to be presenting for you in court. Ms. Nina Tarafa was a former Chief Prosecutor for Miami Dade County, so she really knows the strategies and tactics to use in your defense in court by already having the experience of being on both sides of the judicial system and court room. She is the only attorney from now on that my family and I will be going to for any legal matter. The best legal counsel can be the very difference between an acquittal or a conviction. I had three different events in which I needed legal representation in the last three years. I have met a lot of attorneys these past few years and the only one I would recommend is Octavio. Octavio has saved my life. I thank him and I'm in debt because in the times I did not know where to turn he was honest, he was fully committed to helping me overcome the problems I encountered, and he gave me the best service. You don't have to chase after him. He always does what he promises. He is easily accessible by phone and email. I feel that he is worth much more than the fees I paid. My first name is Juan. He knows who I am. I give permission to have my cases discussed with anyone that seeks his advice. My cases were very complex and difficult. You will be shocked to know that Octavio overcame all obstacles, he put the time into my cases, and won in court for me several times. Not only did he win, he made the other attorney look like a rookie. I felt embarrassed for the other attorney. He fights hard. He doesn't give you a sales pitch like most attorneys out there before they get your money and then treat your case like he is doing you a favor. He has handled so far two of my landlord-tenant issues with great judgement and knowledge of the landlord-tenant laws and has helped me resolve both issues peacefully and within a timely manner.

I went in to see Carolina to help my father with an immigration issue. He had a case from 1985 that was could have gotten him deported. Ms. Corona informed us that we can try to get the case re-opened and try to get the charges reduced. After about 6 months I just got word that the judge approved to re open the case.
We are now waiting to see what will happen with the original case but she is very knowledgable and has been very helpful through out the process.
I will post an update when I get one.

I only met with Mr. Meyer once for a consultation whether I needed to file bankruptcy or not due to two foreclosures ocurred the end of 2012. After reviewing my W2 and the form the two mortgage companies sent IRS reporting abandonment of the property, market value and county assessment, he recommended no need of filing chapter 7, and offered to do my taxes at $500.00. I thought it was a bit pricey.
