Our experience with Mr. Cabrera did not go very well at all. He was very rude, impatient and aggressive over the phone when he DID actually make time to speak with us. 90% of the time, we spoke to his assistant who could not answer our questions. Very disappointing experience, so we chose to work with another practice. The experience was daunting enough, but working with an attorney who was not respectful or considerate made things worse.

This firm handled my real estate transaction. The star of the show was the paralegal in charge of it- Elizabeth MacPherson. I am not particularly ept when it comes to legal procedures and she came to my rescue more times than I care to admit. She was very responsive to my questions and made the process understandable (if that's a word) and almost pleasant. The dishes and glasswares were extremely dirty to the point I couldn’t use it myself - I got to work I turned their kitchen into a mirror everything super clean even the employees and guess noticed the differences - I will not leave dishes stay unwashed overnight to avoid food and drink poisoning but to the manager it’s not important because I was mistreated by one of his third party server and he came and immediately removed me from my long term gigs - clearly he doesn’t know the importance of clean dishes when offering catering services - the kitchen doesn’t have a 3 sinks comportments and for sure nothing is being sanitized because they use 2 small domestic dishwashers. For sure anything being used right now is dirty especially plates and mugs ( I even turned all mugs super clean no coffee stains or lipstick) but the man got rid of me because I challenged a server who said I don’t know what I was doing. His decision was based on discrimination because I refused to go permanent with the company

Despite multiple email, Zoom, and verbal conversations regarding my preferred pronouns, Department Managers refused to respect my preferences, openly and loudly referring to me by the gender they decided they knew better than me. Be warned, this is NOT a safe place for the LGBTQIA2+ Community. Additionally, multiple comments were made by Department Managers that they hated coworkers, internal and external, because their Indian. Be warned, this is NOT a safe place for people of color.

I rarely write reviews for anyone or anything online, but I was so bothered by the disappointing free consultation I had with Ms. Shay that I was moved to do so.
I began our conversation by providing some context, but I was rather coldly cut off and told to "skip the backstory" and state the problem and questions I had. In response, I then began to explain the problems I was having, but she again cut me off mid-stream, provided her recommendation as though she'd heard all I had to say, chided me for not asking questions, and reminded me she that she has been practicing for 30 years.
Additionally, I'd made a couple references to the "ORA" during our conversation (the Office of Rent Administration, which is within the Division of Housing and Community Renewal). At the end of the call, one final reference to it resulted in her saying (paraphrasing), "you keep saying ORA I don't even know what that is." When I explained the acronym, she shot back (paraphrasing), "nobody knows what that is, if you said ORA nobody would know what you're talking about." I was stunned, frankly, by her impatient tone and for being admonished for my familiarity with a component of the DHCR which she evidently did not know existed. Finally, she ended the conversation with what I interpreted to be a sarcastic "good luck" that was--shall we say--less than decorous.
I stipulate to the fact that it was a free, 15-minute consultation. I can understand her desire to cut to the chase. I also know we are all human and at times we all can be impatient and unfriendly--things happen. Perhaps I caught her on a bad day. But by not wanting to hear any backstory nor having the patience to listen to my problems themselves in full, how can she (or anyone) reliably advise on recommended next steps? Moreover, how can I (or any prospective client) know exactly what questions to ask when we are not subject matter experts? While she very well may be competent and a good fit for others, the combination of unfortunate components to our conversation listed above left me feeling like I was at the hospital being attended to by a doctor with little to no bedside manner. Someone contacting an attorney is (not always but) often in a bind, unsure of what to do, feeling vulnerable, and in need of help. I do not know her personally, so all I can do is make a judgment based on my 15-minute interaction with her. That judgment was disappointingly negative.
To sum up my experience succinctly, I found Ms. Shay to be unfriendly, impatient, and lacking in knowledge and calibrated emotional intelligence despite her 30 years practicing. As such, I would not recommend her.

Mr Ramirez was excellent in his initial consultation, but after that he ignored our calls and texts for 5 days. Told us we should not sign the contract but told our broker and REO we should, and then we never heard from him again. Of course, the property owners did not bother to wait for us as we tried to sort out this issue with Mr Ramirez so we missed out on a great deal and had to scramble to find a different lawyer.

Imoh was recommended by my best friend and she was the absolute lawyer for me. She was very patient never once rushed me off the phone, answered all my calls and if she was busy shot me a text and called me back at her earliest convenience. She was up front and very knowledgeable. If she was unsure she would be honest to say then do her research and have an answer for me. She took care of my custody battle and the resolution of the child support agreement. It was not easy but she stayed on top of every detail of the case and fought hard for me and today I have my son. She was also very understanding to my financial situation and worked with me. I was deployed and she made sure I was ok until I got back.
I am very grateful to have met her. She is mild mannered and sweet but very organized and strong in the court room. That mix was perfect for me as I did not need a lawyer to rush me or over talk me and then go to court and we have an issue. Thank you . I highly recommend her.

My modification was handled terribly. We were promised the world but once our $4000 was handed over it was a different story. His assistant was unprofessional and lied all of the time. We rarely got to speak with Charles, only her. He parted ways with his partners after we hired him and he and assistant did not answer phone calls for several weeks. We were receiving threatening letters from our bank and our lawyers were ghosts. Finally they called me back after many many concerned calls, (weeks not days) From that moment on it was one fiasco after another. They got me a decent rate but failed to renegotiate my loan. The payments were only a few hundred dollars less than before and $100 less than our take home pay. We told said that we live in NYC with no property tax cap that our escrow would increase our mortgage again and they did not listen. How do we get along with less than a $100 after you pay your loan? Their answer was pay for a year and then refinance. Well that proved poor advice. all they had to do was ask the bank to extend our loan from the previous refinance before we finalized the mod. They could not be bothered with us because they already had our money. We have begged them to help us now because we know all they have to do is make one simple phone call and re open our case as our attorney that we PAID THEM FOR. But they refuse. I have to hire someone else since I cannot live this way and GUESS WHAT??? property tax and escrow went up as I told them it would. SO NO I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM and it is sad because the people who sent me to them had a wonderful experience. Something happened to change the way he did business because every client I speak to that they took on when we were taken on have the same answers.

Charles Spinardi's office handled my bankruptcy very efficiently. His personnel were on top of everything throughout the whole dismal process (dismal because of the nature of the case). Charles is a great attorney. After I lost my job Charles helped me to buy enough time to get back to work and eventually modify my loan. I was paying $2867 and my new payment is $1923. He made all my headaches and sleepless nights go away. I tried with some other company but they did not help me and then ended up closing their doors. I was skeptical about hiring somebody else but after a meeting with Charles I knew he was the right choice.

If you have any kind of trial you'd be better off throwing your money away. Very little prep work, very meek in litigation, and puts up little to no fight. According to multiple other attorneys he failed to inform me of a very common law practice and actually suggested the bribe the other attorneys offered for me to drop the case.... this man took money and refused to even return a phone call after he lost the most important moment of my life!

Chris is the man! I got pulled over for doing 15 over the speed limit just entering Chemung County on my way to Horseheads while passing another driver on I86 and the officer cited me for 10. It was Good Friday that day and this wasn’t the best Friday for me to get pulled over lol. I am a PA (out of state) driver so even though the points wouldn’t affect my PA driving record, my auto insurance would have spike if I would have plead guilty to the ticket. Plus I will be moving to New York State shortly so I had to take care of this somehow. I talked with Chris Tunney who assured me that he would able to talk the ADA into reducing the points. And he did just that. In New York state, 10 over the speed limit is 3 points. Chris got my speeding ticket reduced from 3 points to 0 points and a non moving violation. He came through for me like he said he would. If you ever get pulled over, Chris is the man to talk to.

Be wary of enlisting Beattie and Krahulik to sell your home. We ran into a number of issues with them - and constantly felt they were not operating with our best interests in mind. Several times what was put into an email to them was completely ignored - and contacts came back agreeing to all of the buyers lawyers demands. Even the wire transfer was handled incorrectly on their end.
You’d be best to look elsewhere.

Richard Rosenzweig is an ill mannered attorney and treats his clients like a money bag. The paperwork he prepared for me was poorly written and had so many spelling errors that I felt embarrassed for him. I wonder if he ever went to law school. I don't recommend hiring Mr Rosenzweig if you are seeking a professional attorney. Don't waste your hard earned money on this joke of an attorney.
