I was referred to Jacklyn Bentley from the Bar Association. I was injured in a car accident. The defendant was 100% at fault. My car was totaled and my T11 injured. Geico refused to believe I was hurt. My first attorney filed the law suite because Geico would not settle. Unfortunately, he got ill and had to drop off. The second attorney had a heart attack and had to drop off on advice of his doctor. I spent two years trying to find an attorney while Geico beat me up. I contacted many attorneys. They all turned me down, as two attorneys had already been on the case. I went to the bar association for help. They sent me four attorneys to contact for a free consultation. Jacklyn was one of the attorneys. The case was complex. She was honest that her case load was such that she could not take the case but gave me several names to contact and encouraged me not to give up. She was extremely helpful and responsive to all of my questions. All the other referrals said no and left it at that. However,Jacklyn provided a lot of information about the legal process and gave me names of attorneys to try. She then went one step further and reached out to see how I was doing. She is more than a good attorney she is a compassionate caring human being. In the future if I need an attorney, I would not hesitate to contact Jacklyn.

I am writing this review to express my profound frustration and disappointment with the legal services provided by Attorney Andy. My experience has been nothing short of infuriating, and I feel compelled to share my feelings. From the outset, the lack of effective communication has been maddening. My attempts to engage in meaningful dialogue were met with silence or, at best, delayed and inadequate responses. This level of disregard for a client's concerns is not only unprofessional but also deeply aggravating. Financial matters added to my exasperation. Despite providing a detainer upon hiring, I received no clarity on how these funds were utilized. This lack of transparency only deepened my mistrust and irritation. Moreover, the complete lack of awareness about critical dates pertaining to my case left me blindsided and seething with frustration. It is inconceivable that an attorney could be so neglectful in keeping a client informed. My experience with Attorney Andy Chen has left me not only angry but also deeply disillusioned. The sheer incompetence, disregard, and lack of professionalism have shattered any semblance of trust I had. I am appalled by the overall handling of my case and, as a result, would strongly caution others from seeking his services.

I have contacted and consulted Andy Chen for a couple of times regarding divorce settlement issue bothering one of my family members. Andy is very professional and knowledgeable. He was also very honest about how and what he could help with the case. We were fortunate to find and enlist Timothy O’hara to represent us with some permit and legal issues with a new property. We were not looking to sue anyone we were just looking for justice and a resolve of our issues. We were pleased to find Mr O’hara was in full agreement. With his guidance and name behind us the city and the parties involved all worked to resolve our issues. We plan to retain Mr O’Hara as our family attorney.

I have only had the opportunity to utilize an attorney's services twice in my lifetime and I did not know what to expect when I contacted Mr. O'Hara. He proved very knowledgeable dealing with my problem and extremely competent. Timothy and his lovely wife Reena, were a pleasure to work with professionally and personally. I would highly recommend his services in handling any real estate situation you may have. Tim O'Hara assisted me in the due diligence and purchase of out of state replacement property during a 1031 exchange. He was instrumental in finding replacement property, conducting due diligence, examining all closing documents closely and even arguing with the seller's and escrow company regarding mistakes in their documents. His focus on detail revealed a "mistake" on the part of seller's that escrow did not pickup upon. A mistake that would have cost me over $100,000. I will use Tim O'Hara for all my real estate and legal needs.

Tina Locklear represented me in a wrongful termination case. Tina is an amazing lawyer that was very attentive to my every question. She listened to me explain my situation and then gave me my options. I was given two options on how to pay. I was also given a 10% prompt pay discount when paying my bill, which is a great savings. Tina laid out, step by step, how the case would most likely be played out. She included a time frame for each step of the case and the cost associated with each step. She thoroughly explained the process to me and she answered every single one of my questions in a timely manner. I am extremely happy with the settlement that I was awarded and it is due to the hard work of Tina Locklear and her staff. I highly recommend her.

If I could give this law firm 100 gold stars I would! It’s never pleasant when you find yourself in need of legal counsel, and I put it off for that very fear. I found myself in an awful and abusive business partnership that I tried to resolve on my own. My biggest regret was not contacting Kelli Farrell at the Locklear Law Firm sooner. Right from the beginning I was at ease and relieved. The entire team, Tina, Kelli, Kat and Scott, work fluidly and concisely with each other and me. They truly care and went above and beyond in the pursuit of justice. I did not feel like a “client”. I felt like family and part of the team. The body of work they composed and the creativity they used to get a resolution was astounding. In fact, the Judge on my case stated the same and used the word “stellar” in describing their ethic and work. Justice was definitely served, and I’m forever grateful.

I had a very positive experience with Tina Locklear and her Law Firm. I hired her to represent me for a Federal EEO case. My case was a non-selection racial discrimination case. I was told by other reputable law firms that I had only a 2 percent chance of wining the case. Most law firms wouldn’t touch my case. However, after I contacted her law firm and explained everything regarding my case, they agreed to represent me. The federal agency which I brought the discrimination case against made it clear that under no circumstances would they settle my case. Tina’s experience, legal maneuvers and tenacity are second to none. As we began to prepare for the hearing, the Agency buckled under the weight of the strength of my case. Working with Jamie is always a pleasure. He meticulously researches all situations and possible responses to the problem at hand and makes informed recommendations. He is quick to follow up and get answers to his client. He is also very likeable and trustworthy which creates an atmosphere of cooperation with all interested parties. Jamie looks for solutions that allow all participants to feel good about, ultimately. Conversely, Jamie also is not afraid to take a harder stand, when necessary. He approaches legal action the way he approaches all of his activities, with calm and methodical reasoning. I can highly recommend Jamie to anyone asking and, personally, will continue to work with him for a long time to come.

Our city was about to dramatically increase the number of people in our area without providing adequate parking in the new buildings. The area property owners and residents would soon pay a big price for this and the problems would be permanent. We had already tried to appeal the City's decision to City Council but the Council completely ignored the many people who spoke at the hearing and wrote letters. The City has ignored some CEQA requirements but the City refused to listen or do anything about it. We had been trying to understand a huge bureaucratic mess that felt like quicksand. Before I spoke with Jamie, our group knew something was very wrong but didn't know how to fix it. Jamie took a huge burden off of our shoulders because he clearly understood CEQA and knew how to deal with our problem. Jamie guided us skillfully. He encouraged our questions, something that I've not typically seen with attorneys. He was very honest and focused on the best outcome for us. He took a mountain of messy, complex details and turned them into a case petition that was clearly written and easy to understand even for those unfamiliar with the situation. We had a good case to take to court so we were able to negotiate a settlement, saving us all a lot of time, work, and money. We feel very lucky that he worked on our case. We achieved the best possible outcome for relief to the parking problem in our area. Our group will continue to work toward solutions for the other parking issues. Jamie will certainly be the one we call when we need legal help.

Mr. Shore was able to secure a ssi and ssdi award for me which I really appreciate. He is a very capable lawyer and personable. With that said his office doesn't reply to emails or voice mails. I had to go to ssi office and wait for hours to get answers to questions that I contacted Him about. Good lawyer but bad communication.

I'm not one to write reviews but I felt I had to save someone the time and money. I'm a single mother and hired Mr Morris back in October 2023. When I called he immediately answered but told me he was at church and would get back to me. He did indeed got back to me. I told him I really needed help and I needed an aggressive attorney dealing with my Childs father for my child custody case. I decided to go with him because he seemed trustworthy and he was the only lawyer that allowed payments towards the retainer fee. I felt so relieved to have an attorney and someone to represent me. After my contracts were signed he was so difficult to get in touch with. He never asked me questions about my case and I never heard from anyone unless I called them. He has a call center answering once you become a client and he has 2 paralegals named Amy and Kristina. I always spoke to Kristina and she said I needed to relax and that my case was a simple case. Implying that it was going to be smooth and I had nothing to worry about. When they finally filed the paperwork for me to serve my daughters father I had to keep calling them in regards to that matter also. It was a week before my case and I still hadn't heard anything back from Kristina or Mr Morris.. Coming to find out she had a death in her family and Mr Morris was on vacation in Belize. Since he was gone my daughters fathers attorney managed to get the case moved to the Whittier courthouse when we filed in LA and had them served. So now I'm the recipient and he's the petitioner. He let this other Attorney walk all over him and call the shots. Btw The judge in Whittier was a nightmare. She has terrible reviews and is bias. But At this point my anxiety is through the roof because I can't get in touch with anyone, we don't have a case to present because they still haven't asked or guided me on anything to do. He didnt tell me to start documenting anything or pulling up text! Nothing. I had to have my mom call from her number because once you become a client they screen your calls. She pretended to be interested in hiring him and guess what! He called her back. After a month of not speaking to me at all. So he finally gave me an appointment to meet him at his office to go over my case. He never wrote down any notes of asked me what the other party could have against me. Nothing! Finally court, Mr Morris showed up 30 minutes late to court! He didn't register us, when we were in front of the judge he didn't know my case. The Judge asked him what was the status quo and he turned and asked me. I almost got contempt of court because he wasn't saying anything of substance out of his mouth that I told him. They judge kept asking him what was his point. He was talking circles. It was completely embarrassing. He had no fight in court! He didn't take notes at all in court either. You are better off representing yourself. After that horrible experience, I was so distraught. I fired him the next day. He still proceeded to tell the third party who I was going through to pay for him that he rendered all my services and I still owed him 4000 dollars. I will be suing him and reporting them to the bar. He's a money hungry lazy attorney that uses his faith as a front. He doesn't care about making sure you keep your family together.

Annie and Bob Beles (the two lead attorneys of the firm) were both very helpful in my case. I faced very serious criminal charges. Annie was my lead attorney. Without her great legal expertise and spunky street smarts, I would have been falsely convicted and sent to prison, after a terribly contentious and emotional trial. Woman bothered to check to see if my case was worth it to them. It was a disability for a $20 per hour park ranger so maybe 25% of 1200 per month for 1-2 years of back pay they would collect. She didn’t say she wouldn’t take the case at first but spouted off a bunch of confusing numbers and then sounded really condescending when she said I should get a social worker and they weren’t in the business of holding people’s hands so I guess this is a different kind of disability lawyer and they don’t want my 25% for holding my hand. I am not a homeless person, I don’t need a social worker, if you’re not going to take the case just come out and say it.

My experience with attorney Terry S Allen was nothing short of a nightmare. He consistently misled me about critical aspects of my case, starting with falsely claiming the prosecution hadn't provided him with discovery. All he seemed to do was repeatedly waive time, allowing my situation to worsen. Shockingly, he even waived my rights without my knowledge, leading to my misdemeanor being needlessly elevated to a felony. During my preliminary hearing, he shockingly refused to question officers' hearsay, claiming it was not allowed, which is patently false. His incompetence became glaringly apparent when he failed to inform me that he had accepted the prosecution's elevation of charges without a fight. Even after I fired him over three weeks ago, he has yet to inform the court of his removal as my attorney, leaving me in legal limbo. His excuse of having murder trials to handle whenever he waived time was clearly a lie designed to cover up his lack of interest in my case. Terry S Allen portrays himself as an experienced trial attorney, but my experience suggests otherwise. Despite knowing the prosecution's case was weak, he showed no intention of mounting a defense. He was paid $12,000 only to receive gross negligence in return. In summary, steer clear of Terry S Allen if you value your rights and your money. He is a fraud who will gladly take your money without any intention of providing adequate legal representation. His incompetence and dishonesty make him unfit to practice law effectively.

My experience with Terry S Allen was deeply disappointing and concerning due to his unethical practices that compromised my case and disregarded my rights as a client. Additionally, Mr Allen displayed indifference to concerns about due process and fair treatment. Mr Allen allowed the prosecution to violate procedural rights without objection or challenge, which further weakened my legal position and undermined my confidence in Mr Allen’s advocacy. I strongly caution others seeking legal representation to avoid Terry Scott Allen, he should be barred from practicing law.

No seriously. Why would you allow a preliminary hearing to move forward if you haven’t received discovery? And how are you supposedly making deals with the prosecution if again, you haven’t gotten discovery? Why waive time if you’re not going to use that time to actually get discovery, interview witnesses, subpoena medical records, speak to supposed victims. Get police reports. And if the district attorney doesn’t give you the discovery, wouldn’t you file a motion for it? Why just let it slide and move forward let alone let your client be held to answer. I thought you would be more aggressive as a defense attorney. But to be honest it’s almost like you didn’t show up at all.

Scammers. They had me pay all of the money they were charging me for my case then claim that their business was closing because the owner had “cancer” and I couldn’t get my money back WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY.

I was uncomfortable from the first time I walked into the office. I felt like I was in the middle where they just grind out bankruptcies. I was not happy about filing a bankruptcy but it needed to be done. In the meantime things went from bad to worse my son died and I was in the hospital for a month. When I told them I really wanted to go with a different firm one of their employees told me that they would keep me in court to use all the money. I was talking about small claims court. She was almost yelling at me. I’m thinking about making a complaint with the state attorney board. But I warn you right now stay away from them. I am shortly going to be 74 years old. And the way she yelled at me it was almost elder abuse. I believe their shysters. And due to my failing health. I’ve been delayed and filing a small claims court. To my knowledge you cannot be represented by an attorney in small claims court. But apparently their employee thought differently. Beware

I hired Virginia law firm 5k and got no results from her she would not tell me what happened after my court date and she did not help with the dmv part of the case waste of time and money hiring her

I called the Legal Aid advice line to speak to an attorney, and unfortunately, Amelia returned my call. Amelia is disgusting and rude. She antagonize me during the phone call, making ridiculous snarky comments. I would not recommend that anyone interact with her. Unfortunately, Legal Aid has someone so unprofessional working for them. SMH

Had to call several times. They have a message option however they won't return calls on messages which just intensities thre stressful situation. So before you call and are on hold for almost 3 hours, yes 3 hours, please note they will not help anyone unless you're being evicted. Yep, enough their website lists many other subjects. Oh and lily is in desperate need of customer service training courses.
