I spoke to a social worker in regards to the stability of their home life when they aren't with me. Being concerned about my daughter, and the inconsistency of her lifestyle which concerned me quite a bit whenever she would take the kids or present a different new boyfriend/place to stay.. (for the most part I have raised them/they lived w/me) I began to get concerned about how they were being affected by her irresponsibility as a parent. Later to find out that they were not attending school, and my oldest grandson taking on the babysitter role and would get in trouble for his little brother in which he became a totally different kid (quite angry about his whole environmen) he was told to lie to me if I asked him questions. My grandson started to call me when his mom would sleep/ or wasn't home and he would tell me things. I convinced my daughter to let me take them to live with me during the week so I can enroll them back in school and fix the inconsistency again time passed and they were safe with me; She started telling me things when she didn't get her way, trying to manipulate saying she was taking the kids from me (*if I talked to her about lying, and being irresponsible etc...) I got to the point that I needed to help these kids before she really screwed them upore and swore to look; nyo things and if she ever got into trouble shoplifting etc... I would use it to my advantage. The social worker referred me to Legal services for children and I started to work on getting guardianship and soon enough she went to jail. They were great, they helped me so much with everything including emergency paperwrk for serving her in jail for restraining order etc .. they came to my home to talk to the kids and I. They made it smooth like butter explaining everything!!! So glad she recommended this place. Perfect for kids who eed help!!!

Dealing with the death of a loved one is hard, dealing with an untimely death that necessitates litigation is beyond comprehension when you're grieving, but it's sometimes the choice you need to make.
Our family had no experience with lawsuits and that's daunting. Kathryn, Karman and their entire team gently guided us through every step of the process. Everything was explained in a thorough but easy to understand way, making us feel cared for and confident in their expertise. All decisions were ours to make; at no point did we feel pressured to do anything that made us uncomfortable.

Before choosing Leiva’s firm, I have spoken to several other immigration attorneys - I have a somewhat difficult case and wanted someone experienced and reliable. I had horrible experiences with other attorneys and felt pretty discouraged about my immigration case. That is when I found Leiva Law Firm. I arrived in the United States in 2019. I failed to pass the interview in 2021. I found Lawyer Wang. After waiting for a long time, I finally went to court on June 4, 2024 and passed the interview. During this period, Lawyer Wang interviewed me three times. The communication also clearly pointed out how to respond to the judge’s questions when going to court. On the day of going to court, 15 minutes after asking questions, the judge approved my case and thanked Lawyer Wang again.

I highly recommend Constantine Zhukovsky as one of the best family law attorneys in the San Francisco Bay Area. I had a very long, painful, and ugly divorce with my abusive ex with a Restraining order and a minor child on my hands. At first, I had a different attorney and felt so confused and helpless, and the divorce proceedings were going south. When I met Constantine he spent hours explaining my rights, laws, and proceedings. The most important part, he laid out the strategies for my case and let me think about it before I made any decision. From the start, I got the support and clarity I needed. I knew what would happen next, and what I should expect from each hearing. It was through divorce, but I am very happy I had Constantine on my side. I felt safe and protected. The proceedings were going very slow: lots of rescheduling from the opposing side, attorney substitutions, and the most annoying was that if you think you have an agreement with the opposing side, it doesn’t mean anything unless it is all put into paper and signed. My ex played this game a dozen times, and it cost both of us lots of money and time. Finally, after the years of divorce, I can put it all behind me, and I am very grateful to Constantine for his hard work and support.

While helping my brother with his divorce, I attended several meetings with Constantine and was very impressed with how he conducted his business. He took a no nonsense approach towards obtaining a full understanding of relevant financial and family situations. This allowed him to make a fair and timely settlement offer that aligned with guidance provided by California court systems. We had lots of questions and he was able to address them all and provide a thorough explanation behind each of his recommendations.
My brother’s wife took a much more aggressive approach, asking for everything and in my opinion stretched the truth. This backfired in court as Constantine was able to back up his case with solid facts. … and judges rule on facts not fantasy. My brother left court happy that day, the same can’t be said about his soon to be ex-wife.
Divorce can be a very frustrating and draining process. Constantine was able to provide my brother with the hope and confidence that he was not going to lose the shirt off of his back. Constantine proved to be worthy of that confidence by bringing the divorce to a fair and timely conclusion.
I wish you the best of luck, but then again with Constantine on your side you don’t need luck.

I had an extreme complicated Immigration case. I cannot emphasize enough how happy we are with Mr. Levin's law group. We reached out to Mr. Levin's practice for a second opinion after spending 4 years trying to get my wife a green-card with another firm. The other firm made countless mistakes, typos and never followed up. The process was dragged out and we were constantly advised that there was nothing we could do. I am an EB-5 immigrant. Earlier in 2009 I started to search for a way to get my daughter a chance to stay in the U. S. after college. I had no idea of the EB-5. I visited a couple of law offices but the results were disappointing. When I visited Mr. Vaughan de Kirby’s law office and talked to him I knew I had found a chance. I spent three days reading his book about EB-5 carefully. I trusted him because I got answers I wanted to all the possible questions I had on the investment and the law. I believed no one could have explained it more clearly than Mr. de Kirby. With confidence I made the decision for the three of us, my wife, my daughter and myself, to go on with the investment (with CMB). Ms Lily his assistant, and other members of his team, were so efficient in straightening out all my documents. In no more than three months my application was approved by the Immigration. Things went out so smoothly that in exactly two years the conditions to our green cards were removed. Last year, our investment funds were all returned to us! During the last few years, I recommended Vaughan de Kirby Law Office to a couple of friends who were also interested in EB-5. Sure enough, they have all been successful in getting their green cards and on the way to get their investment funds back. My case was very complicated one because my I-140 was denied 2 times and my 6 years H1-B was expired almost a year ago. Also I had very limited time because my H1-B was expired and I-485 status could be expired anytime soon. That means I had to leave the US in a month or so.
I contacted more than 10 lawyers through my friends’ recommendations, but no lawyer wanted to take my case because my case was too complicated and no lawyer wanted to take a risk losing the case. And the time is too short for them to review my case and prepare for the filing. So I did some research on line and I found Arit. I emailed him first with all the information; my status, and my situation, and what I wanted to achieve, etc. Then Arit gave me a call about 30 minutes after I sent my email and he told me that he can take my case. That was the moment I felt a big relief from looking for a lawyer for almost one month.
Arit respects his clients very much. He listened to me and understood my goal. Once I started to work with Arit, I could file my 2nd I-140 in 3 weeks and I could file my 7th-year H1-B application only one week after I filed my 2nd I-140. As a result, My H1-B was approved in 2 weeks. Now I have my immigration status back and I can stay in the US and work!
Arit always answers all my questions and he explained everything in simple English very patiently. That was very helpful for me like non-native English speakers. Also he is extremely flexible in terms of meeting. I could meet him even on weekend when I really needed to meet him. He was always available to us via email, and very quick to respond. I have used Arit's services for a recent change of status from h-1b to f-1. I was in a time crunch and had very little time to apply for the COS . hiring ruby was the best decision me and my husband made to file for my green card application that had been previously denied by USCIS. My application for naturalization was denied due to three criminal cases dating back to 1996 and 2002. After consulting with six different attorneys, one of them recommended Karl Krooth. After doing my own research on Mr. Krooth, I scheduled a consultation with him. Mr. Krooth's expertise and knowledge of both criminal and immigration law were immediately evident from our first conversation. I hired Mr. Krooth and the results speak for themselves. The 1996 case was re-sentenced to eliminate the immigration consequences, one of the cases from 2002 was reduced to a misdemeanor and the other which had been an aggravated felony was dismissed. As of June 9th 2017 I am no longer a felon and I'm eligible to reapply for my citizenship. I highly recommend Mr. Krooth for any criminal or immigration related cases.

Ms.Zebel,Helen) is the most compassionate lawyer I have ever met. She carries out her role with kindness and is respectful to everyone she meets I was intending to bring a trio of nearly indispensable foreign workers that worked for my horse racing stable to compete in California.
Helen provided an initial consult then explained to each of us the requirements which would need to be met to allow us entry to work in the USA. Fluency in several languages, in this case Spanish, made it possible for her to convey exactly to each of us what was needed.

We just completed the green card application process with Veronica and came to a successful outcome! We couldn't have been happier to have worked with her. Veronica will be the first person we call if we ever have immigration issues or if we need to refer a friend to an immigration lawyer.
Looking back, if we had to make a choice again on which lawyer to work with, we would consider 5 key criteria. Veronica was awesome on all 5 of them. We'll go through each in detail below.

1. ABILITY TO UNDERSTAND A CLIENT'S SITUATION. When we spoke with Veronica for the first time, she listened patiently to us. She didn't assume anything, and instead made sure she had a good grasp of our situation, including the nuances.
2. KNOWLEDGE OF THE LEGAL SYSTEM. Veronica clearly knows the ins and outs of the U.S. immigration system. She helped us understand what to expect based on her past experience seeing clients through the system, and drew from her network of colleagues in immigration law. For example, we were able to adjust our life plans based on her estimates of the duration of each stage in the process.
3. ABILITY TO OFFER SOLID GUIDANCE. Knowledge of the law and the ability to provide customized advice are two separate skills. Veronica had both, as she was able to clearly lay out the options we had, along with the pros and cons of each. When our situation changed, she helped us formulate a revised approach to achieve our objectives. Our application was strong, no doubt because Veronica had the ability to take the perspective of a U.S. immigration officer reviewing our case.
4. SKILL IN TAKING A CLIENT THROUGH THE PROCESS TO COMPLETION. We had no idea that there would be so much paperwork involved. My husband and I met Bernardo for the first time toward the end of 2011 and hired him in early 2012 to represent us in adjusting my husband's status to permanent resident. Prior to meeting Bernardo we interviewed a handful of attorneys, each of whom made us feel judged and as if our case was hopeless. Bernardo was honest and realistic about our situation yet did not treat us with scorn regarding the circumstances that brought us to this point in our lives.
Our case required a waiver of grounds of inadmissability for my husband which unfortunately was denied. We then filed an appeal and received notice in August of 2014 that our appeal was sustained. In December of 2014 we were notified that our case was approved and my husband recieved his green card in the mail before month's end.
Throughout the near 3 years of working with Bernardo on our case he guided us thoroughly and competently through the process of collecting extensive documentation, responded to all requests in a timely manner, and provided us with the information and resources we needed along the way. He also dealt with what was at times a very emotional and frustrating process for us with respect, patience, and professionalism.
Since this was such a lengthy process with much time spent waiting to hear from the USCIS on next steps, we occasionally became anxious and reached out to Bernardo to inquire about the status of our case. Though he was always prompt in responding to our inquiries and thoroughly answered all of our questions, some of our anxiety and resulting inquiries may have been prevented by Bernardo prompting a check in with us after long periods of silence even if just to reassure us that our case is still in process, what he expects general next steps and estimated timelines to be, and any action he will take if those timelines elapse (i.e. making a status inquiry with the USCIS).
However, this suggestion for how Bernardo can further improve his already outstanding service is small in the scheme of things. He is truly an expert in his field and a great attorney. We would recommend him to anyone seeking councel for immigration matters regardless how complicated their situation.
