Last year I found Warren law firm through Google, I had tried 5 other law firms and no one wanted to take my case. I had 4 days to respond to my denial of my Green Card and Angela, Suyapa and the whole team set aside everything to work on my case and they worked effortlessly and went above and beyond. Within a month my denial was resolved and today I have my Green Card almost a year later! If you want a team that will fight for you and will not back down to a challenge this is the firm you should go with. I am so grateful for their dedication and hard work!!! I highly recommend them!!!

My wife and I had the pleasure of working with Shawn Matloob, who facilitated and streamlined our entire legal journey. From start to finish, his expertise and professionalism left us in awe, and we can't recommend him enough. Before making any decisions, we conducted thorough research on lawyers who should meet all of the following requirements: • Our lawyer should be a member of the State Bar of California and have a clean track record. • Our lawyer's legal specialty should be Immigration and Nationality law. • Our lawyer should be affiliated with a lawyer's association that provides continuing legal education. • Our lawyer should have many years of experience. • Excellent reviews on Yelp and Avvo. • Our lawyer should be honest and not guarantee any results. We were ecstatic to find that Shawn met all of them. Not only is he a member of the State Bar for California, but he's also a member of the California Lawyers Association, which reassured us that he had the most up-to-date information on immigration law. His reviews on Yelp and Avvo were outstanding, and he's been practicing immigration law since the late '90s, which let us know he had more than enough experience. We scheduled consultations with several attorneys, and Shawn stood out from the rest by personally having an online video consultation while other lawyers contacted us via audio only or through an assistant. He patiently listened to our concerns and provided clear, honest guidance on how he would approach our case, and most importantly, he didn't guarantee any outcome, which was extremely important for us – that kind of honesty. Shawn’s knowledge and experience in immigration law and specific legal areas related to our situation were impressive. Throughout the process, Shawn treated us with the utmost respect and professionalism. He consistently communicated the potential challenges of our case, the legal process involved, and the associated costs. We particularly appreciated his willingness and patience. Shawn understands that his clients find themselves in an extremely stressful situation, for example, we would often provided him with more than the necessary paperwork and he would calmly clarify what was really needed, address any uncertainties and was always open to our inquiries. Feeling comfortable sharing personal information with your attorney is vital, and we can confidently say that he created a safe and supportive environment. When it came to reviewing the contract, everything was explained in very detail, including costs, expectations, and limitations. This level of transparency was remarkable, and we felt fully informed before proceeding. What impressed us even more was that in the middle of submitting all of our paperwork, Shawn gave us a call to inform us that there had been updates on the legal procedures that could be beneficial to our case and asked us to provide extra information as fast as possible to take advantage of them. As a result, we were able to resolve our immigration case in our favor. In conclusion, our experience with Shawn Matloob was beyond exceptional, and we wholeheartedly recommend his services to anyone in need of expert legal assistance. Without a doubt, he deserves a resounding 5-star rating, and we can't thank him enough for his support throughout our case.

I don't leave long reviews, but it's my pleasure to make an exception here. Attorney Marc Pelta is a refreshingly straightforward lawyer  who takes care of business! I would give him 10 stars if I could. An associate recommended Pelta Law who resolved some complex family problems for him and my case had issues that needed a professionals attention. You need to have an open mind and realistic expectations when dealing with the California courts because nothing is set in stone. That’s why it was important for me to find an experienced lawyer. Mr. Pelta has the experience and the skills to back it up! From our first consultation, it was clear that Mr. Pelta has a deep understanding of the law and a sharp mind. He quickly grasped the complexities of my case (where other attorneys did not) and created a game plan that ended up working well beyond our expectations. Btw, if my results would have been different, I still would have left a positive review. Mr. Pelta truly cared about my case and that's rare! Throughout the process, Mr. Pelta predicted almost every step and his attention to detail was spot on. He was patient and kind to me when I did not understand certain things. He put’s in the time folks. Mr. Pelta has a confident demeanor in the courtroom and his negotiation skills are impressive. It’s a different California today and it sometimes feels like we're back in the wild west. The courts reflect that and it seems like your case can change directions quickly like the wind. I felt fortunate to have Mr. Pelta in my corner and I bet you will too.

Attorney Mark Pelta's reassuring words during my child's dependency case turned out to be misleading. Despite claims of expertise in CPS and family law systems, I later discovered his lack of experience through his own LinkedIn profile. During the trial, criticisms from other attorneys surfaced, and unsettling behavior was noted by key witnesses and supportive services workers. To add insult to injury the attorney refused to return photographs of my child which he requested as evidence for the court proceedings.

During **my child's dependency case**, I had high hopes when I hired **Attorney Mark Pelta**. He assured me of his expertise in **CPS and family law systems**, as well as handling **domestic violence cases**. However, my optimism quickly faded. First, I discovered that his claims didn't align with reality. His **LinkedIn profile** revealed a lack of relevant experience. During the trial, other attorneys criticized him, and **unsettling behavior** was noted by key witnesses and supportive services workers. To make matters worse, Attorney Pelta **refused to return photographs** of my child, which were crucial evidence for the court proceedings. Despite paying him **$10,000 upfront**, he attempted to charge me an additional **$5,000 for a restraining order** that had been lodged against me. This left me feeling frustrated and betrayed. In the end, Attorney Pelta **lost my case**. His threat of "harassing an officer of the court" was both unprofessional and alarming. Throughout the process, he made other **rude remarks**, further adding to my disappointment. Having gone through this experience, I now understand the importance of competent legal representation. If you find yourself in a similar situation, consider seeking advice from a different attorney or a legal organization that genuinely supports your case and prioritizes your child's well-being.

I can safely recommend Andrei Romanenko as a very decent specialist in migration law. Even from the first consultation I realized that I was in good hands. Andrei is not wordy, gives clear and precise answers to all questions, gives specific recommendations. One can feel his great experience in migration matters. Andrei Romanenko is a licensed Attorney, always check for a license on special websites. Special thanks to Andrei's team, they made me all the necessary translations of documents. They do not seek to take out more money from you and do unnecessary actions to increase the check. They are very decent people, thank you so much for your help.

Robert is one of the most conscientious, hard-working and knowledgeable professionals, I’ve ever met. I had some work related issues that he helped me with. Without even me having to ask, he reached out to numerous colleagues to help me rectify and come to a conclusion about a particular problem I was having with an injury. This helped save me a ton of money and time, He’s a tremendous attorney. Robert is an extremely kind individual who I can tell, really cares about his clients. He’s also smart as a whip and Super sharp as far as his knowledge of the law and how it applies to employment law. One of the best professionals I’ve ever worked with. If you have any Immigration issues, feel like your case isn't moving or going anywhere, or if you think it's too complicated, I highly recommend Atty Rosy Cho. I've acquired a service from a well-known Filipino Immigration Law Firm. I had great consultations with the Partner/Face/Front of the company, and my questions and queries were answered by what I wanted to hear. I decided to acquire their services. I paid the retention fee as agreed. Later found out that my case was assigned to an associate when I called for a follow-up question. I find that interesting since I paid a partner's retention fee. I shrugged it off since I was assured the partner is overseeing my case. That's not why I left their service. After a few months have passed since I acquired the services and filled up the forms, but I have not received any receipts or notifications from USCIS. I decided to pick up the phone request for an update. That's when the paralegal told me I was missing documents that's why it was not filed. That was the last straw. I went searching for another firm through Yelp/Google. That was when I saw Atty Cho's reviews. I was impressed I decided to contact her. Right off the bat, I connected with her and her paralegal. She reviewed my documents and situations and made me sign documents to withdraw my paperwork from the other firm. Not even months I started receiving notifications. Atty Cho works tirelessly and continues to follow up if any updates or my attention is needed. I've got the results I wanted not what I want to hear. Thank you, Atty Cho! I wish I can do more than just a review to show how much I appreciate what you have done for me and my family!

I was referred to Attorney Chinchilla when a former attorney let me know, after a year of handling my case, that the matter was out of his league. Hector quickly assessed the situation, got a handle on where the pitfalls were, and where the greatest potential exposure to all was. He litigated the case to the extent required and then structured a complicated settlement involving various parties and made sure my exposure was minimized. He did all this and resolved the case in less time than it took my former lawyer to figure out the case was beyond his level of expertise.

Hector J. Chinchilla did a wonderful job in getting my green card in only 8 months from the first day I had my consultation with him. Throughout the whole process I was always advice and informed of each stage of my case and with excellent suggestions and instructions on how to to follow up my responsibilities to provide appropriate documentation. Also I was directed to accomplish specific tasks such medical examination, biometrics and he was very good in preparing us for our interview with the immigration officer. Last , he always informed me promptly of all decisions that were made by USCIS that affected my case. I am really happy to have put my case in his hands.

I'm convinced that Ann Riley is the most ethical, competent, and intelligent divorce attorney in the Bay Area. I interviewed a lot of lawyers and many of them were simply not confident about the law and fairly apathetic. Ann really cares in a way that is helpful. She doesn't waste your time, she is able to be firm when needed, and is extremely logical. She has a good understanding of the family court system in SF. Opposing counsel was unprofessional and difficult and Ms. Riley refused to engage, knowing that it would cost me more if she did so and that it wouldn't get me any further ahead. A lot of attorneys like to engage in time wasting activities because they know they can get away with billing you for them - there wasn't a single line item in Ms.Riley's bill that was questionable - she deserved every penny of her retainer. I wish I had met Ann under different circumstances but I'm really grateful to have met her when I did. She gives me hope that there are still decent and good people who find value in doing the right thing.

So after 4 months of thinking my case involving a infestation of mice & rats(caught 15)was being worked on, I found out that my case was terminated almost immediately after accepting my case because I answered no to one of the criminal background questions that mentioned having any recent criminal activities etc which is true, over 6 years plus is not recent so I guess they don’t trust to represent us because of that I feel it’s discrimination because what does having a criminal record have to do with us needing the help?! It shouldn’t have even taking me reaching out to find this out. Very unprofessional for a law firm & they don’t have your best interest obviously.. like how you can’t sympathize with a family that obviously needs representation & justice from & very inhabitable situation if that’s your job?!

I've hired Zach to write an opinion letter to the judge about the immigration consequences of a potential criminal conviction. He worked closely with my criminal defense attorney and I was impressed by his knowledge on the subject. In the process of drafting the letter, Zach was very open about discussing the content with me. In the end, his opinion letter served to influence the decision given by the court. One of the best aspects of working with Zach is that he is very responsive and eager to give advice to the client. He is very quick to responding to my emails and doesn't hesitate offering his advice, even on subjects he was not paid to give advice on. When I approached him one year later suggesting to hire him for urgently needed help, he didn’t confirm or reject his availability, but rather suggested yet another expensive consultation. Mr Sprouls did one thing 48 times- he used the only tool in his Lawyer tool box to buy clients , who had no other options, time. He advanced their cases to the 9th circuit court! These cases would have staggered out over decades to get to that court. BUT the Bush administration sent in 40+ judges to the San Francisco immigration courts and demanded that all cases be done in one year!!! He was brought up to the 9th circuit court and investigated. Their findings? "Mr Sprouls. Worked in the interest of his clients, had no financial gain in doing so, and is highly regarded by the courts and his colleagues." They couldn't let him off with nothing so he got sentenced to 1 day of classes!!!! The State Bar makes 80% of their budget on trying attorneys! They got wind of this action by 9th circuit and sent him to trial - $100,000. later they revised the trial judges findings - a one day class- and suspended him for 2 years - keeping all the $ and tarnishing Mr Sprouls reputation ! It is said " He who steals my purse steals nothing- he who steals my reputation steals all!" The State Bar of California has done both to Attorney Sprouls! The 3 people who overturned the judges finding - are so secretive that they didn't even sign their full names- the cowards - shame on the State Bar! I have had a number of people I know hire Frank Speouls to represent them with great successes!

I asked Allan Samson for representation in a case of Asylum after reading his answers on www.baraban.org. Samson told me that my case would be pending with the immigration judge for years and I would have plenty of time to make payments to him. He seemed to care only about how much money he could get from me. He did not listen to me when I tried to tell him about my case. When I finally said that I wanted my case expedited, he seemed surprised to hear that I knew of such option and asked me how I would be able to pay attorneys fees upfront. I ended up going to a different attorney, who charged me much less and won my case in 2 months. I am glad I did not continue with Samson who failed to inform me about basic issues and cared for nothing else but his fees.

Kaufman is an insensitive man whose all about money. As soon as he charges you for services that he hasn't even started rendering, you will have a hard time contacting him. You can call his office many times, but his secretary will always blow you off, and you will never get a straight answer or a chance to talk to him. There are a lot of good immigration lawyers out there. Don't waste your time and money on him. He's not worth it. Peace.......

I felt misled, We gave him a lot of money and his service did not correspond to what we paid. He charges 350 dollars an hour and he doesn't warrant that amount of money. I was not impressed with his knowledge. His receptionist does not speak clearly into the phone and is rude and uncaring. He gave us a list of papers to prepare for immigration and critical information was missing, only his fees, which are $5,000 for a retainer. The doctor he referred us to for testing for immigration was terrible and never signed the papers after we came back 3 times for the signed. Overall I felt unhappy with the firms services.

Let me start off by saying what a disappointment this woman is. My husband and I hired her about 8 years ago to help him get his green card. We took all the step she suggested to us, after a while though, she stopped responding to our requests. Come to find out, we still owed her money, had no idea as the amount we agreed upon had been paid. It hadn’t, unbeknownst to us. We went months and months without hearing anything back from her. Finally, my husbands green card interview date had been mailed to us. We then made more attempts to get in touch with her to no a veil. So he decided to go to Ciudad Juárez anyway and do the interview. When he arrived, the agent told him that the paperwork we had was filled out incorrectly and that he was not permitted to enter the US for 10 years. I have since moved to Mexico and uprooted mine and my families lives. However, joke is on her because we are happier here in Puerto Vallarta than we ever were in the US. Irina is a disappointment and a joke of an attorney. I would rather hire Barney that Irina Ribeiro. I am now taking my case to the state bar of CA. She needs to be held accountable for her terrible actions. Being an immigration attorney requires you understand that your clients lives and families are on the line. She has no regard for these families and people. Look elsewhere and don’t trust her with your immigration journey.

It is incredible that CA State Bar allows people like Irina Ribeiro to practice law. What's even worse is that the CA State Bar allows her to misconduct when practicing immigration law: money and dreams are being robbed from people arriving to a new country, people trusting the values of our great country US, families looking for asylum, people looking for a new life, individuals looking for the so called American dream. As mentioned by others, Irina will take your money, will not do any work on your case, will not respond to you emails, call or texts. She will create excuses about not responding to you and will not return your file or money. I urge you NOT to hire her legal services. If you were also a client of Irina Ribeiro and would like to make a formal complaint with the CA State Bar and to the courts, to attempt to recover some of your lost time and money, please contact me. We will share stories. Maybe we can join forces.

Irina is NOT the immigration attorney that you want to hire or trust to be on your side. She does not return calls, text, or emails at all. If you hire her and give her your file containing your important documents, good luck in getting your file back. She will not return your file, calls, texts, or emails. She is quick to collect the fee if you hire her, but will abandon you at a heartbeat without any notice or warnings. Stay away from The Law Office of Irina Ribeiro if you have an immigration case that needs to be handle with care because naturalization is a very personal matter that should only be handle by a qualified immigration attorney. The Law Office of Irina Ribeiro is NOT qualify.

I worked with Jim’s firm twice. Both for E-2 Visa for my startup. First time was pretty good though wasn’t smooth at the consulate. The second time, I trusted that he will put the same care and focus to my case like at the first time. Boy was I wrong... First of all, they postponed my case for few months, because they were super busy preparing for H1B’s in April. I was running out of time! Finally, my startup got approved to the most prestigious startup accelerator in the U.S. and we had several other successes on the way... but our case wasn’t approved! When we met with Jim in his office a week after the denial, his only advice was: leave the country! We found another lawyer and within 2 months got approved! A few months later my wife got approved for a green card and we’re all set. He never looked at solutions out of the box, though our cases were really no problem for other lawyers. Don’t have to tell you how much stress and anxiety it cost me. He refused to return my money, even though I wrote him super to the point letter pointing out all the mistakes. He responded 3 months after, saying that they were busy with H1B’s... A JOKE. Deja vu! Don’t work with them if you care about your immigration issues and life in the U.S.

Do not waste your time or money with James Mayock or EM Visa. My fiancee had selected Jim as her attorney and he is 100% useless, Between Mr Mayock and his staff they do nit provide due diligence, an attorney who submits paperwork to USCIS should at a minimum ensure the firms are correct and SIGNED before submission, he failed to do this. the forms submitted were incomplete, unsigned, and USCIS requested additional information was not submitted within the time frame dictated by USCIS. this firm will nickel and dime you to death, and leave you in limbo. if i could give them negative scores i would. Run from them they are inept, unprofessional and incompetent.

I hired David Kaufman to represent a family member (in ICE Custody). Biggest disappointment was he did not meet with his client before the bond hearing (and got denied). I arrived at his office that morning and we were hoping to be in court by 9. For whatever reason the cancellation of removal paperwork was missing and he had to re-do it. He ended up going to court @ 9.45 to a client who thought there was no representation and then cross-examined with no preparation. Actually he first met with the client in court.

What an Immigration Lawyer Can Do for You

An immigration lawyer specializes in helping individuals, families, and businesses navigate the complex immigration process. These lawyers provide legal guidance on various immigration matters, such as obtaining visas, gaining permanent residency (green cards), applying for citizenship, and defending clients in deportation or removal proceedings. Immigration lawyers also assist with employment-based immigration, asylum applications, and resolving issues related to visas or immigration status.

Whether you're trying to immigrate to the U.S., facing deportation, or sponsoring an employee or family member for a visa, an immigration lawyer can help you understand your legal options and navigate the often complicated legal system.

When Should I Hire an Immigration Lawyer?

Hiring an immigration lawyer is beneficial in many situations where you are dealing with U.S. immigration laws, whether for personal or business reasons. Common reasons to hire an immigration lawyer include:

  • Visa applications: If you need assistance applying for a visa, whether it's a work visa (H-1B), student visa (F-1), or tourist visa (B-1/B-2), a lawyer can help ensure the application is properly completed and submitted.
  • Green card applications: If you're seeking permanent residency, an immigration lawyer can guide you through the process, whether through family sponsorship, employment, or the Diversity Visa (lottery) program.
  • Deportation or removal defense: If you’re facing deportation or removal from the U.S., a lawyer can defend your case in immigration court and seek to prevent removal.
  • Asylum applications: If you’re seeking asylum due to persecution or fear of persecution in your home country, a lawyer can help you prepare a strong case and file for asylum.
  • Family reunification: If you're a U.S. citizen or permanent resident looking to bring family members to the U.S., a lawyer can assist with the family sponsorship process.
  • Citizenship and naturalization: If you're ready to apply for U.S. citizenship, a lawyer can help you navigate the naturalization process and ensure you meet all the requirements.
  • Business immigration: If you're an employer seeking to hire foreign workers, a lawyer can assist with employment-based visas, labor certification, and compliance with immigration regulations.
  • Special immigration categories: Immigration lawyers also handle complex cases, such as visas for victims of human trafficking (T visa), crime victims (U visa), or those seeking Temporary Protected Status (TPS).

Hiring an immigration lawyer early in the process can help you avoid delays, errors, and possible denials due to incomplete or incorrect applications.

What Does an Immigration Lawyer Do?

An immigration lawyer provides a wide range of services to help clients with their immigration needs, whether personal or business-related. Their tasks often include:

  • Assisting with visa applications: Helping clients fill out and submit visa applications, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Filing for green cards and permanent residency: Guiding clients through the process of applying for a green card, including family-based, employment-based, or other forms of residency.
  • Defending against deportation or removal: Representing clients in immigration court who are facing deportation and working to prevent removal from the U.S.
  • Preparing asylum cases: Assisting clients in applying for asylum based on fear of persecution in their home country due to race, religion, nationality, political opinion, or membership in a particular social group.
  • Handling citizenship applications: Helping lawful permanent residents apply for naturalization and ensuring they meet all the legal requirements for U.S. citizenship.
  • Employment-based immigration: Assisting employers with the process of sponsoring foreign workers for temporary or permanent visas, including H-1B, L-1, and EB-1 through EB-5 visas.
  • Representation in immigration interviews: Preparing clients for immigration interviews and attending interviews at U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) offices.
  • Appealing denied applications: If a visa, green card, or citizenship application is denied, a lawyer can file appeals or motions to reopen or reconsider the case.

How Are Immigration Lawyers Paid?

Immigration lawyers generally charge for their services based on the type of immigration case and the complexity of the legal work involved. Common payment structures include:

  • Flat fee: Many immigration lawyers charge a flat fee for specific services, such as preparing a visa application, green card petition, or citizenship application. Flat fees help clients know upfront what the legal costs will be for a particular service.
  • Hourly rate: For more complex cases, such as deportation defense or appeals, some lawyers charge by the hour. Hourly rates vary depending on the lawyer's experience and the complexity of the case.
  • Retainer: For ongoing immigration matters, some clients may need to pay a retainer, which is an upfront payment billed against as the lawyer works on the case.
  • Pro bono or sliding scale: Some immigration lawyers or nonprofit organizations may offer free or low-cost services for clients with limited financial means, particularly in asylum or humanitarian cases.

It’s essential to discuss the fee structure with your lawyer during the initial consultation to understand the costs and payment arrangements.

How Much Does an Immigration Lawyer Cost?

The cost of hiring an immigration lawyer varies based on the type of legal service required, the lawyer's experience, and the complexity of the case. General cost estimates include:

  • Visa applications: For help with visa applications (e.g., H-1B, L-1, F-1), legal fees may range from $2,000 to $7,500, depending on the complexity and the type of visa.
  • Green card applications: Fees for family-based or employment-based green card applications typically range from $3,000 to $10,000, depending on the case.
  • Deportation defense: For defending clients in removal proceedings, costs can range from $5,000 to $15,000 or more, depending on the complexity of the case and how long the case takes.
  • Asylum cases: Asylum applications may range from $2,000 to $10,000, depending on whether the case is defensive (in removal proceedings) or affirmative (not in removal proceedings).
  • Citizenship applications: Legal fees for filing a naturalization application usually range from $1,500 to $5,000, depending on the complexity of the client’s immigration history.
  • Business immigration services: Fees for assisting businesses with employment-based visas (such as H-1B or EB-5 visas) often range from $3,000 to $10,000 or more.

Always ask for a clear breakdown of costs and fee arrangements before proceeding with legal services.

Top Questions to Ask an Immigration Lawyer

Before hiring an immigration lawyer, it's essential to ask questions to ensure they have the experience and expertise to handle your case effectively. Important questions to ask include:

  1. What experience do you have with immigration cases like mine?
Ensure the lawyer has experience handling cases similar to yours, whether it’s family-based immigration, employment visas, or asylum.
  2. How do you charge for your services?
Clarify whether the lawyer charges a flat fee, hourly rate, or retainer, and ask for a detailed estimate of the total cost.
  3. What is the likelihood of success in my case?
Ask for an honest assessment of your case and the potential outcomes, including any challenges you might face.
  4. How long will the process take?
Immigration cases can take time, so ask how long it may take to process your application or resolve your legal issue.
  5. Will you handle my case personally?
In larger firms, junior attorneys or paralegals may handle parts of your case. Make sure you know who will be working on your case directly.
  6. What documents do I need to provide?
Ask the lawyer about the documentation required to support your case, such as birth certificates, marriage certificates, or employment contracts.

How to Check the Credibility of an Immigration Lawyer

To ensure you are hiring a reputable immigration lawyer, take the following steps to verify their credentials and track record:

  • Check their state bar status: Confirm with your state bar association that the lawyer is licensed to practice and has no disciplinary actions against them.
  • Look for specific immigration law experience: Review the lawyer’s website or professional profile to ensure they specialize in immigration law and have experience handling cases like yours.
  • Read client reviews and testimonials: Look for reviews on platforms like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, or Google to see what previous clients have said about the lawyer’s professionalism and success rate.
  • Ask for references: A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their ability to handle immigration cases.
  • Check for industry affiliations: Membership in organizations like the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) can indicate the lawyer’s expertise and commitment to immigration law.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most out of your first consultation with an immigration lawyer, it’s important to come prepared with relevant documents and information. Here’s what you should bring:

  • Passport and immigration documents: Bring your passport, visa, and any documents related to your current immigration status.
  • Family documents: If you're applying for a family-based visa or green card, bring marriage certificates, birth certificates, and proof of family relationships.
  • Employment information: For employment-based visas, provide your employment contract, offer letter, or other documentation of your job.
  • Criminal records (if applicable): If you have any criminal history, bring copies of court records and other relevant documents.
  • Timeline of events: Provide a clear timeline of any prior immigration applications, visas, or issues with immigration authorities.
  • List of questions: Prepare any questions you have about your immigration case, the process, costs, and the likelihood of success.

By preparing thoroughly for your consultation, you can help the lawyer understand your case more effectively and get the best possible legal advice on how to proceed.
