I checked my case status this morning and found my H1b case approved. Actually, I had a strong faith in getting this approval when I submit the documents since I had a really good lawyer--Mr. Seong Eun Cho. The experience having him to work on my case is so pleasant. His quick actions and high professionalism made me feel so relieved from longtime anxiety and depression. I will recommend him to whoever need an immigration lawyer without hesitation. Dear Mr. Seong Eun Cho, thank you very much and wish you a bright future with your solid background and strong willingness to help!

Mrs. Ismail works with utmost dedication and diligence on her cases and is able to produce results unlike most attorneys I’ve consulted with regarding immigration issues. She helped to win two family immigration cases of mine. She genuinely seeks to help others, is very attentive and conscientious while undertaking any cases, and continually makes herself available to us as clients during the process. In rather precarious situations with unknown events, I felt an ease trusting her guidance along the way. I would recommend her to the fullest extent for any legal immigration counsel and/or representation.

I was introduced to this attorney during the middle of an ongoing criminal case that was heading in the worst imaginable direction possible. Once I hired this attorney, he took the time to explain the legal aspect of my case and broke down everything to where I was able to understand. Mr. Ezeoke kept me fully updated throughout my entire case. At the time Mr. Ezeoke took my case, I was facing 5 years of federal prison time. Needless to say, I am here writing this review from the comfort of my own home. Mr. Ezeoke had my case dismissed and all charges dropped. He made the impossible look so easy. He was unafraid of the unjust court system and fought for my case as if it were something personal to him. His law firm has now become great family to all my family and friends.

Once I brought my case to atty. Alphonsus Ezeoke, I knew right then I had chosen the right person to help with my criminal case. This attorney took the time to explain to me the details of my case, which most attorneys have failed to do. He allowed me to work as apart of my case so I would understand all legal aspects dealing with my case. This attorney saved my life, I went from a possible 5 year sentence to all charges dropped. Mr. Ezeoke did not accept any other answer from the Courthouse, because he believed in me. I recommend this attorney to anyone that is in need of a criminal lawyer or if you need a lawyer that will litigate and truly fight for you. Rebecca

Best Competent lawyer out of Houston, Texas. I had a very hard, rare, and complex case with over 10 arrest 4 felonies, still persuade the judge I deserve a seconds chance at Cancelation of Removal for certain Permanent Residents. Very Honest Straight forward Attorney very rare for a lawyer, I dealt with tons of them thru out my criminal career. Never had one tell me truth but this gentleman. I owe this man my life, I have been America since I was 9 months old, and the government (DHS) was trying to deport me to somewhere I never been, very scary to me life changing event in my life. Mr. Williamson help me stay here and get my Green Card back reinstated. We won our case before the Immigration Judge, the Government (DHS) Appealed the judge's decision to BIA. Peter Helped me win Again Before the Board of Immigrations Appeal. Very intelligent guy, a lot experience with immigration law, removal proceedings, and deportations hearings. A lot of attorneys have bar licenses but they do not have any idea how to fight cases before the EOIR Courts because all they do is paper work. I-485, I-130 etc. Which doesn't involve anything to do with Immigration courts. Mr Williamson knows INA Law like the back of his hand, very good memory , judgment and demeanor. I will recommend this guy to my brother, mother and neighbors. No one told me to write a review, I did it on my own to help other people like me in my situation to make the right choice, It does make a big difference on if you have good legal counsel on hand, you have only one shot make it your best shot.

if you are looking for a lawyer that won't overcharge you and actually wants to help you I would honestly say to stop your search right away. Let me just tell you why. My family and I struggled to find the right lawyer to represent me. I've been with dozens of different lawyers who claimed they were the "best" and when it came time to actually meeting them and discussing your plans. all they really wanted was to get paid and for you to go on your way, without them really wanting to help you. I started to loose hope because every lawyer I would meet with me would either treat me like trash or not take me seriously. When I met Mara everything changed. She actually knows how to manage her time. She will sit down with you and genuinely want to help you. She treated me and my family like normal human beings, not as just someone you can take advantage of with exaggerated prices. Not to mention the fact that whenever my trial came along she was always available to answer every single question I had, no question was too simple or small, and if she didn't know the answer she would figure it out. Plus she gets things done. She is tough. So the bottom line is if you are looking for a lawyer that won't overcharge you and actually wants to help you. Give her a call.

He is awesome. He knows the law and he is very honest. He is very expensive too but worth it. He does not give you wrong advise and does not give you fake hope. If you cannot win the case he will tell you upfront. Due to his advise over the phone I saved almost $5,000. I had a denial case from Immigration and other lawyer were charging me on or around $5,000 for appeal whereas he was saying that I cannot even appeal and even if appeal Immigration will reject my appeal and if I go for trial it is very tough case to win, in another word I will be just through money.

My wife was scammed by people in the Philippines who issued her a fake passport. So she came here illegally, where I met her under a name that wasn't even hers. We hired Mr. Flynn to get her legal. He understands the law very well, apparently, because after a little legal tussling with INS, she was granted her green card under her real name, and she has since gone on to become a US citizen. It was a painless process and very quick, considering how the INS functions. Highly recommended.

I often hear about negative stories when dealing with some Attorneys and very rare do we take the time to recommend those who are passionate about their craft and exceed expectations. Attorney Steven Fuller is a true example of an Attorney who exceeded my expectations. He is undoubtedly one of the very few passionate, professional and hardworking attorney in the law practice. He candidly and honestly reviewed my case thoroughly with me, while simulaneously applying Texas State Law to my case. Prior to my case he personally responded to my email and my concerns. While at the County Court he promptly called me from his personal cell to ensure that I agreed with the Judge's decision or if necessary appeal the results of the court findings. It was so refreshing to know that he truly represented someone who was hurting and had gave up on the legal system. He got my Child Support payments reduced and negotiated or agreed to the fact that I should not pay any arrears in Child Support. If anyone have had a bad experience with others in this craft please do not hesitate to call Attorney Stephen Fuller of Miller and Pearson Law Firm. He's not only a world class professional attorney, he is also an active member of our military forces/veteran and truly understands our military and their rights. Bottom line is that if you need an Attorney for Child Support or any other military Matters, please do not hesitate to contact Attorney Stephen Fuller at Miller and Pearson law firm. I would also remiss if I did not tell you that I had initially searched for other attorneys in the area to include using my Legal Shield membership. None of them came close to meeting my financial needs or cost effeciency like Miller and Pearson's law firm. The response I got were very high and all driven by an inital consultation or an office visit. Miller and Pearson Law firm attorneys will talk to you, get the facts and then tell you if they can handle your case without charging you and getting a negative or unfavorable answer. They work together and care just as exemplified by Attorney Fuller and Attorney Streltsov. Incredibly amazing team and awesome job!

Steve is a very intelligent, sharp, quick witted, compassionate attorney. We worked with Steve for something that wasn't exactly in his usual realm of law but fit the best with him because of his knowledge of both criminal and medical law. We had a lot of questions and he did a thorough job of answering each one. He explained how case law and criminal law related to us and what we could expect. He did a very good job of ensuring we fully understood everything and I felt confident in the knowledge I gained from him. I truly hope we don't need his representation in court, but if we do I feel assured he would apply himself fully to getting the desired outcome.

What an Immigration Lawyer Can Do for You

An immigration lawyer specializes in helping individuals, families, and businesses navigate the complex immigration process. These lawyers provide legal guidance on various immigration matters, such as obtaining visas, gaining permanent residency (green cards), applying for citizenship, and defending clients in deportation or removal proceedings. Immigration lawyers also assist with employment-based immigration, asylum applications, and resolving issues related to visas or immigration status.

Whether you're trying to immigrate to the U.S., facing deportation, or sponsoring an employee or family member for a visa, an immigration lawyer can help you understand your legal options and navigate the often complicated legal system.

When Should I Hire an Immigration Lawyer?

Hiring an immigration lawyer is beneficial in many situations where you are dealing with U.S. immigration laws, whether for personal or business reasons. Common reasons to hire an immigration lawyer include:

  • Visa applications: If you need assistance applying for a visa, whether it's a work visa (H-1B), student visa (F-1), or tourist visa (B-1/B-2), a lawyer can help ensure the application is properly completed and submitted.
  • Green card applications: If you're seeking permanent residency, an immigration lawyer can guide you through the process, whether through family sponsorship, employment, or the Diversity Visa (lottery) program.
  • Deportation or removal defense: If you’re facing deportation or removal from the U.S., a lawyer can defend your case in immigration court and seek to prevent removal.
  • Asylum applications: If you’re seeking asylum due to persecution or fear of persecution in your home country, a lawyer can help you prepare a strong case and file for asylum.
  • Family reunification: If you're a U.S. citizen or permanent resident looking to bring family members to the U.S., a lawyer can assist with the family sponsorship process.
  • Citizenship and naturalization: If you're ready to apply for U.S. citizenship, a lawyer can help you navigate the naturalization process and ensure you meet all the requirements.
  • Business immigration: If you're an employer seeking to hire foreign workers, a lawyer can assist with employment-based visas, labor certification, and compliance with immigration regulations.
  • Special immigration categories: Immigration lawyers also handle complex cases, such as visas for victims of human trafficking (T visa), crime victims (U visa), or those seeking Temporary Protected Status (TPS).

Hiring an immigration lawyer early in the process can help you avoid delays, errors, and possible denials due to incomplete or incorrect applications.

What Does an Immigration Lawyer Do?

An immigration lawyer provides a wide range of services to help clients with their immigration needs, whether personal or business-related. Their tasks often include:

  • Assisting with visa applications: Helping clients fill out and submit visa applications, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Filing for green cards and permanent residency: Guiding clients through the process of applying for a green card, including family-based, employment-based, or other forms of residency.
  • Defending against deportation or removal: Representing clients in immigration court who are facing deportation and working to prevent removal from the U.S.
  • Preparing asylum cases: Assisting clients in applying for asylum based on fear of persecution in their home country due to race, religion, nationality, political opinion, or membership in a particular social group.
  • Handling citizenship applications: Helping lawful permanent residents apply for naturalization and ensuring they meet all the legal requirements for U.S. citizenship.
  • Employment-based immigration: Assisting employers with the process of sponsoring foreign workers for temporary or permanent visas, including H-1B, L-1, and EB-1 through EB-5 visas.
  • Representation in immigration interviews: Preparing clients for immigration interviews and attending interviews at U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) offices.
  • Appealing denied applications: If a visa, green card, or citizenship application is denied, a lawyer can file appeals or motions to reopen or reconsider the case.

How Are Immigration Lawyers Paid?

Immigration lawyers generally charge for their services based on the type of immigration case and the complexity of the legal work involved. Common payment structures include:

  • Flat fee: Many immigration lawyers charge a flat fee for specific services, such as preparing a visa application, green card petition, or citizenship application. Flat fees help clients know upfront what the legal costs will be for a particular service.
  • Hourly rate: For more complex cases, such as deportation defense or appeals, some lawyers charge by the hour. Hourly rates vary depending on the lawyer's experience and the complexity of the case.
  • Retainer: For ongoing immigration matters, some clients may need to pay a retainer, which is an upfront payment billed against as the lawyer works on the case.
  • Pro bono or sliding scale: Some immigration lawyers or nonprofit organizations may offer free or low-cost services for clients with limited financial means, particularly in asylum or humanitarian cases.

It’s essential to discuss the fee structure with your lawyer during the initial consultation to understand the costs and payment arrangements.

How Much Does an Immigration Lawyer Cost?

The cost of hiring an immigration lawyer varies based on the type of legal service required, the lawyer's experience, and the complexity of the case. General cost estimates include:

Top Questions to Ask an Immigration Lawyer

Before hiring an immigration lawyer, it's essential to ask questions to ensure they have the experience and expertise to handle your case effectively. Important questions to ask include:

  1. What experience do you have with immigration cases like mine?
Ensure the lawyer has experience handling cases similar to yours, whether it’s family-based immigration, employment visas, or asylum.
  2. How do you charge for your services?
Clarify whether the lawyer charges a flat fee, hourly rate, or retainer, and ask for a detailed estimate of the total cost.
  3. What is the likelihood of success in my case?
Ask for an honest assessment of your case and the potential outcomes, including any challenges you might face.
  4. How long will the process take?
Immigration cases can take time, so ask how long it may take to process your application or resolve your legal issue.
  5. Will you handle my case personally?
In larger firms, junior attorneys or paralegals may handle parts of your case. Make sure you know who will be working on your case directly.
  6. What documents do I need to provide?
Ask the lawyer about the documentation required to support your case, such as birth certificates, marriage certificates, or employment contracts.

How to Check the Credibility of an Immigration Lawyer

To ensure you are hiring a reputable immigration lawyer, take the following steps to verify their credentials and track record:

  • Check their state bar status: Confirm with your state bar association that the lawyer is licensed to practice and has no disciplinary actions against them.
  • Look for specific immigration law experience: Review the lawyer’s website or professional profile to ensure they specialize in immigration law and have experience handling cases like yours.
  • Read client reviews and testimonials: Look for reviews on platforms like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, or Google to see what previous clients have said about the lawyer’s professionalism and success rate.
  • Ask for references: A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their ability to handle immigration cases.
  • Check for industry affiliations: Membership in organizations like the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) can indicate the lawyer’s expertise and commitment to immigration law.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most out of your first consultation with an immigration lawyer, it’s important to come prepared with relevant documents and information. Here’s what you should bring:

  • Passport and immigration documents: Bring your passport, visa, and any documents related to your current immigration status.
