Divorce is horrible by itself. Annette and her staff made the process so much worse. Forgot or blew off appointments made by me and spouses attorney, only conduct business via email, used legal jargon I didn’t understand and when I asked for clarity both she and her staff were condescending. These items were horrible and then I get a letter from Annette telling me she will withdraw my case unless I ‘replenish’ my retainer. Somehow, my $4500 was blown although she and her staff did very little for me. She wanted another $2500 and since money was tight, I asked if she could reduce the replenishment. She sent me an angry, unprofessional email back comparing her services to a surgeon (neither her bedside manner nor her skills are anything close to a surgeon). I just received my final bill for her as somehow she blew through the last $500 in my retainer although she did very little for me. She nickel and dimed me the entire process and when I asked for clarification on the billing statement, her response was very unprofessional. I would have received better service hiring a paralegal. Save yourself further hardship and find another attorney who actually cares about her clients.

I Contacted Ms. Sandoval's office on 8/23/2023 and spoke to Katelyn. I provided Katelyn my credit card information and was scheduled for a consult with Ms. Sandoval on 9/1/23 at 11:30am. After rearranging my work schedule, on 9/1/23 I sat awaiting the phone call I was to receive at 11:30am. Ms. Sandoval nor anyone from her office ever called me. I then called Ms. Sandoval's office thinking maybe I was supposed to call in?? Katelyn again answered. I explained that I was scheduled for a consult with Ms. Sandoval at 11:30 and she hadn't called. Katelyn then said "We never received your information from the email you were sent so you don't have an appointment".
I explained to Katelyn that I never received an email. Katelyn went on to say "Oh ya people sometimes miss it because it goes to their junk mail. I had already checked my junk mail prior to my call and I there was no email. I told Katelyn again, I did not receive an email from her office. Katelyn would then say normally their office follows up a few days before appt to make sure everything is ready to go but she had been out sick so that didn't happen. Katelyn then told me even if I completed the paperwork that day the appt would not happen.
Since the issue I was calling about in the first place was time sensitive, I asked Katelyn when I would be able to reschedule? She said it would probably be 2 weeks out. This wasn't acceptable to me so I asked if should would please see if something sooner could be scheduled (especially since it was her office that dropped the ball). She said she would look into it and call me back that day.
I never did hear back from Katelyn or anyone else from Ms. Sandoval's office again and here it is 9/13. Very unprofessional for any business, much less a law firm.

Joseph Shanahan is a strong, vocal and direct attorney. He reviews all information leading into the hearings and cone prepared with a plan and sees it through to completion. He is not intimidated and will advocate for what is right. Attorney Joseph Romiro-Shanahan is a very approachable, clear communicator with unwavering sound judgement and all that we hope a lawyer to be. This only matched by their effectiveness. I don't have enough words to explain how wonderful she is. Naturally when you hire a lawyer for family court there's almost always hard feelings, contention and stress. Ms. Seidl was not only my lawyer but she was often my therapist. She's understanding, caring, she listens, and sometimes when you need it, tough love. She will be honest with you, sympathize with you, and will ALWAYS fight for you. Her understanding of family court is unmatched. I owe her my sanity!

My husband and I retained Carissa to represent us in the case against his ex-wife and while the retainer was on the expensive side, we do not regret it. Carissa is a fabulous attorney and she is amazing at what she does. You can tell she loves her job and really cares about her clients and their families. She was honest with us and told us the "not so ugly truth" sometimes but that is what makes a great attorney. She kept us in the loop and returned our calls and emails (but also did not waste attorney time on unnecessary phone time). Some may say that she (or her law office) is expensive but you get what you pay for. And it was money WELL spent. I would recommend her and Jaburg Wilk to everyone and I have recommended her to friends, just as she was recommended to us by a friend.

Carissa was recommended to me by a friend. I had never been in court before and the opposing Attorney was pretty vicious. Carissa told me not to get upset, that everything would work out ok for me and that I had a good case. Well she was right all along. Carissa was very fair and straightforward with me regarding all the issues and was very professional and courteous. I couldn't have picked a better attorney.

I had met Ashley while she was helpingbwith Paul De Blanc's office. I was a victim if domestic Violence, and already divorced. When Ashley stepped in to help, I have to say her presence in court and with my case was impressive. Many of these negative reviews must be from the opposing side. Ashley was always on top of her game and knew the law. She protected my boys and that help she gave us, those boys are now grown and very healthy men. We are grateful for Ashley and her help with my (boys) ... family. She communicated abd was prepared for every hearing and made sure we were heard.

When I was served divorce papers I was a stay home mom of a 8 month old ... that hired the first firm I could find between the naps of my son. I hired Rowley and Chapman and 18 k in legal fees later and they weren’t even able to get me even child support. They obviously didn’t have my best interest but the interest of getting the last of my savings.
My ex had a scumbag of attorney who advised him to do evil things to me to get rid of me and out of the picture of him and my son. (Supposedly one of the best Lds family law attorneys in the East valley, but seriously I was dealing with a couple of Cowards, perverted, evil men who managed to get me out of marital home with lies and a false order of protection just because I requested in temporary orders to stay in Marital home to take care of my newborn and my ex to go with his mother who lived 15 minutes from marital home.
It was in the beginning of the Covid lockdown.
I found Ashley through prayers and guided by Angels I think and Azlawhelp.org. In her profile it said she had experience with abuse.
My ex was financially, emotionally and mentally abusive but I couldn’t really figure out what he was trying to accomplish until it became very clear. I was an international bride/wife with no idea of family court in the US.
What a nightmare!!! I was lucky to find Ashley and I think she was a good fit because she went straight to the point, made me understand how family court works in AZ, didn’t take advantage of me, and I feel she educated me during the process. I was certainly clueless.
All I can say, is that she didn’t allow those cowards to walk all over me, and leave me completely destitute and without my son like they were trying.
Ashley is young, tech savvy, straightforward, honest, I don’t know who trained her, but she is very educated and with lots of experience for her young age and I think the best quality is that she doesn’t take advantage of her clients by educating them. I predict she will become one of the best female family court attorneys in AZ, maybe even a judge hopefully a Judge.
I pray more attorneys follow her steps, because unfortunately lawyers are not regulated by tax dollars like realtors, teachers, etc. so make sure you go to a good person. Because most attorneys have lots of power and poor regulations and many can rip you off.

I previously used them because of an attorney who was amazing but she was no longer here and I was in desperate need. I should have waited to find the new firm she was at. My experience with my second lawyer here was beyond disappointing. Pretty much lost my case. I even called to talk to Mark who is a partner here to discuss how disappointed I was with my lawyer. Had my lawyer used the evidence I suggested I think we had a better shot at what I wanted. Don’t use this firm and keep interviewing attorneys that actually care about your lives. One mistake can cost you use case and change your life.

Stephanie stood outside the courtroom and told my attorney if she did not give father sole custody now, that she would put my child in foster care. She throw papers at my face while I testified and spewed a theatrical dumpster load of laws causing me and my childless harm that continue to this day. We hired Stephanie to help us with the adoption of our son. She did an outstanding job but was not our first lawyer. Our first lawyer was fired shortly after retaining her due to personality conflicts. I hired Joy for a custody case with my ex husband, she was extremely unprofessional both with me and him. She milked the retainer and charged me enormous fees for miscellaneous items and "copies" and would want to call me in to discuss my case only to talk about herself half the time and have me repeat myself with information multiple times so she can charge me $250 and hour for consulting. I did not feel like she cared about the best interest of my children or me but was only trying to make the most money from our case.

Joy gave my spouse half truths throughout her representation, causing more animosity than necessary. She would not reply in a timely manner to cancel trials, therefore opposing counsel would devote a week or more in trial preparation. Accordingly, this tactic would raise attorney fees for opposing counsel and gave her access to opposing counsel's exhibits which Joy never filed. She would miss the exhibit deadlines. Joy would not give any indication she was canceling a trial and still never provided exhibits . I did not consult with her, but I had to choose "consulted" to submit this. If you would prefer an attorney that does not give you the full truth and charge you hourly, she's your person.

Joshua turner used our information provided during the consult and used it against us by calling the people whom we were suing and warned them of the lawsuit in addition to threatening to “find” and “sue” me if my review was not taken down. I wouldn’t use this attorney to throw a birthday party let alone a case. RUN!!! Horrible Person and very sketchy work ethics. Joshua is headed to prison for what he’s done very soon. Do not know what else to say. Went through an approximately 3 year adoption/custody battle. Amy was not the only lawyer I met with prior to hiring her. Once I met her I knew she was the one to hire. At all times during this case, she was professional, expedient, and supportive. The opposing counsel tried everything possible with tons of motions. I hired Amy after my now ex-husband filed for divorce, based on a reference from a friend of mine who is also an attorney. My ex-husband was extremely difficult throughout the entire process, causing me great anxiety, but Amy exhibited a great deal of professionalism throughout the entire process. While many attorneys would get frustrated and prefer to tell you what to do, Amy was great at listening to my concerns & questions and even had feedback when I had suggestions in my case. She has been handling these types of cases for quite some time and her ability to understand idiosyncrasies in the other party was key in the settlement of my case, which was in my favor.
I highly recommend Terry Fong Law Group, but more specifically, Amy Olthouse Duenas. Her prices are fair and the quality of work was exceptional. Not only is she a great lawyer but she is truly a wonderful person.

i typically refrain from writing reviews; however, my experience with the folks at Terry Fong's Law Group has been so positive I decided to sit down and write a review.
Since Amy is a mother herself I feel she understands my frustrations regarding co-parenting challenges. Even when she doesn't have personal experience with the challenges I face, she still continues to provide excellent customer service and exemplary legal advice. Thankfully, we haven't appeared in court often but when we do go to court she remains composed and professional while continuing to legally advocate on my behalf.
Her paralegal, Andrea, provides exemplary customer service as well! This legal team has been patient and flexible with me regarding payment arrangements and as a single mom that is really important for my budget.
I highly recommend the legal team at Terry Fong's Law Group, specifically Amy, for all your family law needs. Not only is her family law experience extensive but she treats her clients like people, not just cases. It has been my experience that she goes above and beyond what is required by her job description as a lawyer to ensure I am well represented.

Steve is a great guy and someone you can trust with your case. I had a assault charge on me and he went to court multiply times for me trying to dismiss the case until it was time for trail and the prosecutor didn't want to go to trail with Steve and dropped the case. Samantha Sue Elledge was the worst thing to happen to my emergency custody case. She was appointed by our judge. Elledge told my children they were lying about physical abuse by their father even though he was convicted of the exact crimes they told her about. She told our judge that dad should have unsupervised visitation even with DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND ASSAULT CONVICTIONS FOR HITTING MY CHILDREN. This goes against Arizona state statute. We are currently in court AGAIN less than 2 years because he held my children hostage and caused $1100 in property damage and is charged with MORE domestic violence. All because Samantha Sue Elledge called myself and my children liars. You do not want her on your case if there is domestic violence involved. What a disgrace to everyone involved.

Amy, Ms. Elledge did the same to me as a court ordered best interest attorney. I also have audio as well as emails of her helping my ex to make him appear better to the judge to take our child over proven false accusations and ignoring my ex lost custody because he abused our child when he was you younger. Please text me at 480-672-4489. Two people are better than one that have proof of who she really is. Also, Ms Elledge removes negative reviws to appear better than she is. I have screenshots of those but all were anonymous. So there are at minimum of at lease 10 others whom she has lied etc. All were women. Anyone else who has had same treatment from Ms. Elledge, please feel free to text me as well. She needs to stop raking in the money ruining lives.

I hired her as my attorney for a family law case. While she clearly has a solid understanding of family law, her handling of my case fell far below expectations. Communication was a major issue—I often had to call and leave messages for two or three days just to receive a brief or incomplete response. When I needed legal advice for specific situations, I never received clear or direct answers, leaving me uncertain about the next steps.
Additionally, she never adequately prepared me for hearings and failed to organize or prepare the necessary paperwork in advance. I sent her documents with important questions that needed to be filled out and reviewed before sending them to the other party, but she never took the time to review them. Instead, she sent them as they were, without any consideration. This was, in my opinion, highly incompetent, especially since these documents contained personal questions with various scenarios that needed careful attention to ensure the best possible outcome. Her lack of preparation and attention to detail added unnecessary stress and confusion throughout the process.

Dan was my attorney assigned by the Glendale city court,I was at the courthouse today for a hearing ,a misdemeanor case ,I was reading the police report along with Dan ,I pointed out that the police officer and the accuser ,had both lied ,and his response was that he didn't care and the judge would not either .It's his job to protect the rights of a defendant ,and make sure that the defendant receives a fair trial ,those are every citizens right ,if Dan saint can't do his job what he is paid for by the state of az which is actually the tax payers like me ,then he needs to retire immediately. Dan is Totaly incompetent to sum it up .It's pubic defenders like him that make defendants not trust the public defenders officer or judicial system .

She ignored evidence, , did not bring to the judge's attention key facts in my divorce case that cost me over 16,000 . Did not cross examine ,ask or present any prior court documents of testimony of guilt and hearings from the divorce that was done before she got hired ... Gaslighting tactics and financial abuse was all present and up for grabs she was just to lazy and to busy telling me that the judge is not going to care he has made up his mind and if you don't do what he wants does not matter what I say or do you will loose. No visitation since the divorce or FaceTime... He won't even let me talk to my children.... Allowed a cluster of week "evidence" to be used as proof! Did not bring up one issue I requested . I didn't even get my service dog awarded my actual trained service dog ! Just let ex-husband request and did not mention it was even a service dog for my disability. Everything I told Katherine was pretty much in one ear and out the other. Maybe she had more pressing things going on but for the few thousand dollars I gave her, I didn't feel it was money well spent. I wanted a very detailed court order so there was no confusion. I ended up getting a very generic down the middle final orders that had vauge, figure it out yourself orders. I paid this attorney to make my court orders more specific because the Mother was unagreeable. I feel she was almost more sympathetic to the respondent than to me, the one paying her. Not even a mention of attorneys fees at the end. I would probably save my money next time and do it alone. I am pretty sure I could have gotten the same results without the extra money spent.

Sarah Youngblood is a very professional no nonsense attorney who is very experienced and will aggressively work on your case until the last motion is filed with the court and continue to fight like a pittbull (wont let go) until the case is closed. Even after my case was closed she continued to answer and return my phones calls and questions. If I ever need the services of an attorney again I will most definitely call on Sarah Youngblood again because I am very confident I will have all of my rights protected in the court room.

I was hit with an erroneous protective order from my soon to be ex wife after I filed for divorce.
I was devastated as I always maintained a spotless record.
After hiring another attorney, I was hoping to get this Order of Protection quashed. 3 days before my hearing, this other attorney suddenly withdrew from counsel as there was a conflict of interest that they overlooked.
I was terrified and by pure chance, I was given Eve's number from someone who works in the same building my office is in.
Even took my case on such a short notice and her team worked tirelessly for the next day and a half to help build my defense for the pending hearing.
At the hearing, Eve was the reason the hearing went in my favor. Her knowledge of the law and her plan of action worked so well that my wife actually ending up admitting in court that no harm was ever done to her!

I keep forgetting it's income based. So if you need legal help be sure your combined family income (CFI) is Broke. And even then it may be difficult to qualify. So you may have to be either Beyond Broke or Dirt Poor. The point is if you need legal help regardless of income you're not going to get it here. And any other resources they provide have you questioning whether or not you do have a legal issue.

Bernard is exactly how the first review has said. He tells you to shut up if he doesn't want to continue listening to you because he doesn't agree or likes a comment/question you have made or asked.
He makes appointments with you, but won't show up. He doesn't ever respond to emails. He studies your case until you're in the court and won't explain things to you. My daughter has lost her job making meeting with him and all so he won't show up. He is condescending and rude.
