He thoroughly communicated everything he was doing, and was attentive when I had questions. Regardless of when I had questions, Raymond was always available to answer my questions to the best of his ability. I will be recommending Raymond to family and friends if and when we require his services! Thank you once again, Raymond, you've been amazing!

Our son had previously been denied by the AAMC for the same accommodations he had received throughout college. We searched for an attorney that could best present our case, and we were immediately drawn to Brown, Goldstein & Levy from their online profile. Once we met Neel Lalchandani and discussed our situation, we knew we had found the right partner. Neel is an excellent listener and his team is very thorough. Neel presented a very compelling case on behalf of our son, and he was recently awarded the full accommodations that we had requested. We could not have achieved our goal without the help of Neel Lalchandani and Brown, Goldstein & Levy. They were the difference-maker and it was the best decision we ever made. Our son's confidence has been restored and his dream to go to medical school continues. Thank you Neel!

If I could give a zero I would this has been my worst experience ever in my entire life. I’ve dealt with smaller injury lawyers who had less and did ten times more. My case is a slip and fall easy the hotel admitted fault right out the gate. There were ample evidence and every thing. I had put my self in therapy not my lawyer I couldn’t work so I fell into financial ruin. My lawyer tells me don’t worry because all of that will be accounted for in the lawsuit just be patient. I go months before I find out that the lawyer I had no longer worked for the company. My case is now over a year and I have a new lawyer who has to be updated on my case. The lack of communication is unbelievable I’ve repeatedly ask to speak to a partner and that has gone unheard. I’m almost three years in and after a horrible display of competence they are now trying to close my case.

This has been a very traumatic time of my life. I haven’t slept all night since February. I met the most amazing Attorney at this firm. Attorney Joseph McKenzie. First let me start by saying he’s GREAT LISTENER! He allowed me to explain everything without interruption. He corrected me on things I totally didn’t understand were wrong. He made me feel heard and understood. I was very impressed with his knowledge and professionalism. He has a beautiful office and the staff were very welcoming. I left there feeling safe and that God let me meet the right person. I slept all night for the first time in a few months. If you need an Attorney who will listen to you and care about your situation call Attorney Joseph and you will not be disappointed.

We had a custody case with Mr. Rolle in August of 2017 and we are so happy we hired him! We instantly felt at ease with him. Also, he must have an excellent paralegal on staff. She seems to have done most of our paperwork (under his supervision/direction) and that was great for us! The custody order and other stuff was very well written and because he used his paralegal so wisely the billing to us was far less than we were expecting it to be. It was a huge relief for us. We’d had another lawyer before him who did things badly and was gouging us with the billing, so our final bill from this firm was a huge relief. They deducted the bill from our retainer and returned it in a reasonable amount of time. Also, when the other party was ready to settle (very much in our favor), because of life circumstances, Mr. Rolle’s Law firm was able to get the new custody order written up very quickly. I think it was only a couple of days and that included some revisions that we sent in after the fact. That was important because we were concerned the other party might change their mind. We would definitely hire Mr. Rolle again. Thank you!

I trusted her when I went to her office to speak with her. I really believed she was going to help me. I had a sociopathic ex boyfriend that would follow me and press false charges against me. When her and I spoke at her office, she really sounded as if she was on my side and that she was bold and confident. When I arrived at court, she kept making snide remarks at me. She started to call me stupid and accused me of trying to contact my ex. No such thing happened. Also, she showed up to court with boots that were covered in mud. My ex was accusing me of following him and she wouldn’t even let me explain to her that it was him that followed me. She did nothing for me in court but berate me and show up in her mud covered boots. She said that if I want her to show up to defend me next time that I need to pay another retainers fee. She literally charged me for just sitting there and never spoke to the judge. I was so shocked and upset. I had to fire her and hire someone else that knew how to handle this case. When I told her this she gave me such an attitude and I explained why. She literally laughed at me and then I just hung up the phone in stunned disbelief. If you’re reading this, please hire someone that is professional and that delivers, not someone that makes empty promises and can’t even meet the minimal requirements of a professional.

She will not lie to you to just get your money she states the law, to be honest, she will fight for you until the end. I choose her for my son and I can honestly say I will hire her every time if I can. She responds back accurately to text, email, or phone calls between other cases. If you looking for an excellent defense lawyer than she is the woman you want because she is aggressive yet firm when presenting her case. She is worth the hire so hire Ms. Daisey

I feel the last review he lies to client and family acts very petty and does not follow up nor did he communicate to federal prosecutor and have not provided discovery in its entirely to client, only been to visit 3 times within a year! I regret hiring Michael Lawlor because he changed his tone completely after I made the retainer payment. Prior to doing so, he made assurances that were never followed after I paid him. For example, he had promised me that he would talk to lawyers that were involved in a duplicate case as mine, but he never did. Also, prior to the retainer payment, he assured me we would win this case if I had to take this to trial. However, as soon as I made the retainer payment (which was around the time that he met with the federal prosecutor), he kept saying "we're gonna lose if we take this to trial" before he explained to me all that I would be giving up if I choose to plead, to a felony no less. I honestly regret hiring him and wish I had gone with a free federal defender. The rumor that they are overworked and overstressed is simply not true when it comes to federal cases and they are usually top of the line from Harvard/Yale.

My husband was the victim of a vicious assault. State Attorney Shane Nolan was on top of my husband’s case and kept us informed throughout the process. Ms.Stephanie in the attorneys office followed up and reached out during this ordeal and at no point did I feel we weren’t a priority for them. While they take on an enormous amount of cases and I did have to follow up on some things, which we should also advocate and stay up to date on things and not let them take it all on , they did an incredible job and justice was served for my husband. I see some reviews that people didn’t get a phone call or an email. We never received anything in writing but again we the victims must advocate and do the work too, case search is free, the dockets are posted the day before and court dates can be found online, we can not expect the States Attorney’s office to be our personal assistant. Also for other victims please know you’re not alone the MD Crime Victims Resource Center was a great help as well in our case. The Anne Arundel County States Attorney’s Office did exceptional and we thank you!

Don't get robbed at gun point by a state attorneys father. They'll give you petty sentence instead of an apology. I got robbed of at least 1100.00 in tools, developed ptsd, got a 30 day sentence, one year probation, an appeal bond paid with no release of incarceration and no refund for that bond either. The guy even thanks his daughter (states attorney which I don't have to name), for the verdict in his victim advocate speech. I acquired testimony. It's all there! Sorry for giving one star on the review. This organization deserves less in my opinion.

First and foremost this attorney failed to keep appointments over 80% of the time. When my abusive ex husband took custody away from me to withhold my children from me, she advised me to move out of state when I was on physical disability with no income and no means to travel, and she refused to ask for any financial support or maintenance from him. This also left me without any means to be able to get back to Maryland to see my children for a long while. Then when a friend offered to help put up money to travel, my ex broke the visitation order 9 TIMES, refusing to allow me to see my children the amount of times I could have. MS. Hansen refused to file for contempt and when all funds were gone were I couldn't get back and I was panicked, she decided this was going to be too much work for her so she dropped my case, leaving me with NO ATTORNEY AT ALL, and I had no means to see my children at all for over 2 years being left without any money or any way to do anything about seeing them!!! She had over 200 hundred pages of evidence of physical, emotional, psychological, social, and financial abuse to my children and myself. She didn't bring up ANY OF IT TO THE JUDGE AT THE FIRST HEARING, NOR ASK FOR ANY OF THE VALUE OF OUR NEARLY $300,000 HOUSE WITH OVER $50,000 IN EQUITY, NOR THE ROUGHLY $10K IN ASSETS TO GO TO ME BUT TOLD THE JUDGE WE WERE NOT ASKING FOR THAT!!!!????...which could have helped me for travels to see my children minimally. As well as according to her inheritance IS MARITAL PROPERTY (despite Maryland law states it IS NOT MARITAL PROPERTY), so she said he can keep that as well! She is crooked and my counselor for PTSD from all the abuse I endured for 15 years from my ex advised I write this review to save anyone else from the nightmare Me. Ferris Hansen put me through. SHE KNOWS NOT A THING ABOUT DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, AND BELEIVES THE ONLY THING IMPORTANT FOR THE MOST FIT PARENT IS WHO EARNS THE MOST INCOME AND NOTHING ELSE MATTERS AT ALL TO HER!!!... ATTORNEYS ARE EXPENSIVE AND PLEASE DON'T WASTE WHATEVER YOU HAVE ON THIS WOMAN WHERE YOU COULD END UP IN MY SHOES!!!....Please find one who listens to your concerns and will work hard to help you and your children if applicable!!!!....Ms. Hansen will most likely NOT!!!

If you ever heard that his communication suck, PLEASE believe it. I paid this man $1500 to take my case and every time I went to court he either didn’t show up, tested positive for COVID the day before my court hearing, or he sent a replacement. He never follows up, you always have to chase him down and then he gets very passive aggressive when you start asking questions or he simply doesn’t respond back at all. His response to me was “We don’t sit around the office all day and call clients about their cases” All of this has led to postponements and the prosecutor isn’t happy at all, so she refused to schedule another date until she got all information she needed from Donald. As of October 11, 2022, the prosecutor still does not have what she needs in order to rule in my favor in this case (the purpose I hired him) even though I sent everything to him about 14 months ago. I’ve since requested a refund, and he blocked my phone number. I made a complaint to the bar association and will continue to escalate and even get another lawyer involved to collect my money from him.

What a Juvenile Law Lawyer Can Do for You

A juvenile law lawyer specializes in legal issues involving minors, including those facing criminal charges, child welfare matters, or status offenses (like truancy or curfew violations). Juvenile law lawyers aim to protect the rights of minors and advocate for rehabilitation rather than punishment in criminal cases. They also help families navigate child custody, abuse, neglect cases, and other legal matters involving children.

If your child is facing criminal charges, or you are involved in a child welfare case, a juvenile law lawyer can help protect your child’s rights and work toward the most favorable outcome.

When Should I Hire a Juvenile Law Lawyer?

You should consider hiring a juvenile law lawyer in the following situations where minors are involved in legal matters:

  • Juvenile criminal charges: If your child is accused of a crime, such as theft, assault, or drug offenses, a juvenile lawyer can represent them in juvenile court, advocating for leniency and alternatives to detention.
  • Delinquency proceedings: A lawyer can help navigate delinquency charges, defending your child’s rights and seeking rehabilitative outcomes like counseling, probation, or diversion programs instead of incarceration.
  • Status offenses: If your child has committed a status offense, such as truancy, running away, or underage drinking, a lawyer can help you resolve these issues in juvenile court, often focusing on rehabilitation rather than punishment.
  • School disciplinary issues: If your child is facing school suspensions, expulsions, or other disciplinary actions, a lawyer can help protect their educational rights and challenge any unfair or unlawful school policies.
  • Child protective services (CPS) investigations: If your family is being investigated by CPS for alleged abuse, neglect, or dependency, a lawyer can represent you and protect your child’s rights throughout the investigation.
  • Custody disputes: A lawyer can help in cases involving child custody or guardianship disputes, ensuring the child’s best interests are prioritized and advocating for the child’s rights.
  • Emancipation: If your child seeks legal emancipation from their parents or guardians, a lawyer can assist in navigating the legal process and help the child understand their rights and responsibilities.

Hiring a lawyer early in the legal process ensures that your child’s rights are protected and that the best possible outcomes are pursued.

What Does a Juvenile Law Lawyer Do?

A juvenile law lawyer provides various services to help minors and their families navigate the legal system. Their responsibilities often include:

  • Representing minors in court: A lawyer will represent your child in juvenile court, advocating for their rights and seeking rehabilitative outcomes rather than punitive measures.
  • Filing motions and legal paperwork: The lawyer handles all necessary legal filings, including petitions, responses, and motions to dismiss charges or suppress evidence.
  • Negotiating with prosecutors: In some cases, a lawyer can negotiate plea deals or diversion programs that prevent the child from having a permanent criminal record or serving time in detention.
  • Advising on rehabilitation programs: Juvenile law lawyers often focus on alternatives to incarceration, such as counseling, community service, or probation, helping minors avoid long-term legal consequences.
  • Handling CPS and child welfare cases: If your family is involved in a CPS investigation or child welfare case, the lawyer can advocate for your child’s safety and well-being, ensuring that their rights are upheld.
  • Defending minors against school discipline: A lawyer can help challenge unfair or excessive disciplinary actions taken by schools, ensuring that your child’s educational rights are protected.
  • Advising families on legal options: A lawyer will explain the juvenile legal process to families, offering advice on the best legal strategies and what to expect during the case.

How Are Juvenile Law Lawyers Paid?

Juvenile law lawyers typically charge for their services based on the complexity of the case and the time involved. Common payment structures include:

  • Hourly rate: Many juvenile law lawyers charge by the hour, with rates ranging from $150 to $500 or more, depending on the lawyer’s experience and location.
  • Flat fee: For simpler cases, such as status offenses or school disciplinary hearings, a lawyer may charge a flat fee that covers all legal services related to the case.
  • Retainer: In more complex cases, such as defending against serious criminal charges or handling a long-term CPS investigation, a lawyer may require a retainer, which is an upfront payment billed against as they work on the case.
  • Sliding scale or pro bono services: Some juvenile law lawyers offer sliding scale fees based on income or may provide pro bono (free) services for families who cannot afford to pay full legal fees, especially in cases involving child welfare or delinquency.

Discuss the lawyer’s fee structure during your consultation to understand the total cost and payment options.
