Had no idea this lawyer was listed by any name other than K Bob Toy. He goes by Bob! Glad I discovered this site as well. You can read my review at his Bob Toy web page. That is much easier than typing it all out again. He was terrible. He just took our money and did not work for us. He showed up at the hearings (custody) unprepared and wanted to cram it all in last minute. Absolutely awful. If he didn't care he should have been honest and not taken the case. I had just lost my son ( passed away) and we were trying to get custody of our grandson who had been with us most of the first year of life (1 year old for two weeks prior to his father's death). Our grandsons mother was out of the picture and had nothing to do with the baby so now we have shared parenting. Shared with the other grandma who was barely in the child's life his first year and because the grandma and meigs cps STATED ( no proof) her daughter wanted her to have him. Never even came to the hospital when her daughter was having him. This could have been an easy case if any amount of time had been put in. Very sad what he does to people. He sits and laughs about taking money from the students up town to pay cash for boats. It's all about greed with him. He does not care nor does he put in any work. I hope this review saves someone lots of money and heart ache because he truly doesn't care. This man has big Karma to go through and I hope he thinks of my poor little grandson being shuffled back and forth 3x per week to one side that didn't care enough to be in his life prior to the death of his dad. The last time We saw or talked to Bob was in court that day (2021). He didn't even have the decency to follow up with us. He was just done. Please do your research and hire sometime that cares and will work for you because this guy just wants the money.

I was trying to run from my problems and start a new life livin in Miami Florida When I was picked up on a nationwide warrant out of southeastern Ohio for felony 2 heroin charges. when I contacted Mr. Toy... I also had a warrant in Jackson Ohio for felony 3 heroin and warrants out of cincinnati Ohio for felony 5 heroin and felony 5 fentanyl possession that had me wanted in Ohio. Ohio did not decide to extradite me from miami jail so I was released back to my life in Miami after a few weeks In jail. I had already hired bob toy and he convinced me to return to Ohio, organized the circumstances of my surrender, and orchestrated plea bargains In ALL COUNTIES that couldn’t have gone better. I have not done heroin in over a year and god willing I will complete diversion and treatment in lieu of conviction programs, entering my adult life without a bad criminal history! I believe hes gota be the best defense attorney in Athens hands down. Although there were conversations I felt he could’ve been a tad friendlier, I believe he always held good intentions and I really enjoyed the passion in our dialogues. He’s a realist. I don’t really like posting stuff like this but seriously this guy saved my life so maybe if you are and Ohio university kid that got caught up with some bad drugs you have a chance to turn it around like me.

I was never married to my child's father, but pursuing a custody agreement through the courts proved to be the best approach. Working with Sarah was an exceptional experience. Mrs. Haberland went above and beyond to help me in a Child Support case. She was very honest and very professional and because of her expertise, everything came out fair and square the way it should have. I would not recommend using Daniel Alden. An Attorney should not show up to court in a condition that shows he is more nervous than the client he is representing. He was sweating bullets going into the court room and stumbled through his words. In addition, he failed to present the pertinent documents that he was given at the first meeting with his client. We had a signed document that he did not present to the judge in addition to not defending his client to get attorney fees assessed to the other party. Mr. Daniel Alden feels he was successful because we did win our case; however, he could have done more for us as a client as we were still out attorney fees. The court also sent us the court cost bill and Daniel said that was just the way it was. I sent in a post-trial motion and the judge agreed the court cost should go to the Defendant, and they did move them to them.

0 stars is actually needed! Hired said firm on or about 03/13/2024 on a tight time line, sent 7 emails, got no services hired for or reply. Go in to find out what's going on and get a sob story of him being sick and to top it off, HE LOST ALL MY EVIDENCE GIVEN TO HIM! l Got a refund but have the grueling task of putting all the evidence back together for a competent law firm!

I would not recommend using the title company associated with this law firm (Mount Vernon Land Title Company). I bought title insurance on a property I recently purchased, then found a lien on said property (which was filed before my closing) not even two weeks after I signed paperwork. I contacted Noel and Jan and they told me that it wasn't covered by the title insurance (which I've been told by other sources should be covered.) I've been jumping through hoops with everyone that I can think of to try to forgive this unforeseen debt.

If I could give you zero stars, I definitely would. I called and was asking to get a quit claim deed done and was told someone would call me back within 24 hours by Christine. 24 hours went by and no one called so I called back a week later and Christine answered and had no idea what I was talking about. She then told me that someone would call me back within 24 hours again and here it is three days later and still no answer. If you don’t want business, don’t advertise for business. Christine was rude to me on the phone as well. Way to conduct a business.

I will say that Mr. Goldstein is a pleasant man and easy to talk to and my bankruptcy was started in early to mid of 2020 and my wife and I completed our paperwork in late August and the Bankruptcy itself was completed in January of this year and today (October 18th, 2021) I found out that the re-affirmation of my automobile loan in which I paid extra for was not accepted by my loan company and although I never miss a payment and still haven't so I can keep my car which is great, but it will not help my credit score at all which is not good. I talked to the lady in his office and was told that she attempted to contact my loan company to re-affirm it but they did not respond (either accidentally or due to covid). This being said to me makes me wonder why I was never contacted by my attorneys' office and told that it was not re-affirmed even though I paid extra for it.

Their website says nothing about closing at 3:45pm. The person I talked to on the phone this morning said they’re open 8am - 4pm.

I just called to obtain information on how to get eloped and get a marriage license. When calling it rang about 20 times before she answered the phone and she was extremely rude and not helpful at all. She wouldn’t even let me get a word out and said they couldn’t help me with the marriage license application and i need to google who to call. wow extremely helpful right? I’m really disappointed. I read reviews before calling and hoped you guys would do better than that with your customer service. Extremely disappointed.

I dreaded having to contact the Hamilton Co. Probate Court in Ohio to obtain a much-needed document. I had attempted the action some years ago when documents were still on microfiche, resulting in frustration and subsequently, my abandoning the action entirely.
However, I had no cause for such trepidation or concern when I contacted Judge Winkler’s court recently. First, requests were streamlined and online, user-friendly with easy-to-follow directions.
Second, earlier today—a MONDAY—I received the nicest, most customer-friendly phone call I have ever received from any government employee to clarify my email request. DONNA was polite, helpful, and an absolute godsend in assisting me in getting the correct document in the quickest way possible.
I do hope Judge Winkler appreciates this wonderful employee who went above and beyond to accommodate me, a complete stranger. Donna deserves an Atta-girl commendation of some sort to honor her exemplary service as the front-line representative of Judge Winkler’s office.
In an age of seemingly voiceless, faceless government and fears of AI takeover, the reassuring personal contact with Donna was gratefully appreciated by this customer.

WARNING... Adam Thurman is a stand-up guy. Do not hire Adam if you are not going to pay him regularly. That would say a lot about your character. Santa is always watching. Adam did not write the laws. He does follow them and healthy people like him for this, including but not limited to judges. Adam is highly respected. Even the opposing side in my divorce can't help but notice. Divorce can be costly. Here's a tip… save money by emailing Adam unless he asks you to call. Another tip... Get a self-help book about divorce. Theses tips are priceless and will save you money. Listen to Adam's advisory, divorce is not a new concept for him. This is his profession. As you move through this challenging time Adam will be your trusted advisor. Although the light can be very hard to see Adam will help guide you. You'll be much better off with Adam at your side. Every divorce is unique. Mine took long. It is unpredictable. You will be as happy as I have been with Adam at your side. I will be forever grateful for his counsel. I have the responsibility of two children and Adam is qualifed as a guardian et litem. Which brings its comfort. If you were lucky enough to hear about Adam then search no further. Retained for a divorce case where I was a defendent- took my retainer and more then did not deliver. Asked to have a TPO placed after I was assaulted -never got. Allowed Lake County Courts to not even follow the rules of the court- no one cared how I lived only how much money they could get- words of advice- have the court divide without a blood sucking attorney- forms are available at the courthouse.

My case was unique in Ohio. As a WA state grandma I was seeking visitation for my granddaughter. I chose Virginia through the internet. Always Virginia was very professional and very thorough. She mostly answered the phone herself and kept me on track; she was always available and sometimes with the three hour difference in time it was difficult for both of us. If she couldn't reach me then she would email promptly. I ended up stepping down from the case; knowing that we would most likely win; however the situation itself became a no-win situation. As in the beginning so was the ending, an honest, forthright attorney. I was never sorry that I chose Virginia to guide me through this journey. Thank you.

Mark perlacky was awesome in a trial for me in 2012.he got me aquitted !!! Thats unheard of for public pretenders.... He's not there any more but the professional service was great even though atf carpenter ATF agent lied on the stand to try and bank me. Didn't work. Lol hooray for mark perlacky!!

If I could give them a zero i would! The receptionist is rude and very unhelpful! She does not help at all and treats you as if you are bothering her when you call into the office. I have revieved no court papers even though I know extensions have been filed. I have been left completely in the dark in the entirety of the situation. I truly feel horrible for anyone who has to use this place. I will say the actual attorney when you get to speak to her is nice and helpful I had to go around the receptionist to even be able to speak to the attorney because the receptionist will tell you that she isn't in and then will tell you that she has no information for you at all and that you do not need to speak with her. The only way I was able to speak to this woman was by going around the receptionist and speaking to someone else in an entirely different building and they relayed the message to her that I had been trying to contact her. She then called me and I spoke to her. The receptionist that works their is a horrible woman who should clearly not work in any type of public service job or office. She is truly a sad excuse for a receptionist. She clearly thinks it's okay to treat people as if they are less than her and do not deserve any type of information. I would also like to note that since the whole process has started we have not received a single court paper pertaining to the situation which I find very odd. I am not an expert on this but I would think we should of received something by now since it's been over 6 months and I'm going to go out on a limb and say that it is probably that said receptionists responsibility to send any papers to clients so I guess I shouldn't be surprised we have not received a single piece of paper. If I knew where to go to file an actual complaint against her and find out if we should of received something by now I would.

I am beyond frustrated and disappointed with my experience with James Kocka. After paying a hefty retainer, I was left high and dry when it mattered most.
On the day of my court hearing, he simply didn’t show up. I felt completely abandoned at such a critical moment.
I tried contacting him multiple times leading up to the court date, but communication was virtually non-existent.
When I finally managed to reach him, two days later, he offered excuses but no real explanation for his absence. It was not just extremely unprofessional; it was utterly unacceptable. I had to face the judge alone, which was a nightmare I never expected.
This lawyer took my money and left me to fend for myself in a situation that required their expertise and support.
I would strongly advise anyone considering to hire James Kocka for his services to think twice. Because not only did he not show up for me in court like he was supposed to. He then refused to refund the hefty retainer I gave him. A real attorney wouldn’t do that to anyone. James Kocka, in my opinion, is more like a thug.
Save yourself the stress and seek representation from someone who actually values their clients and shows up when it counts. I am left feeling cheated and disheartened, and I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone.

Too Cool Chris Represented me in an open and shut , sure win custody battle for my daughter. Chris was bullied by an attorney named bogut.
Eventually we came to an agreement and recieved custody.
Chris left us vulnerable in so many ways in the agreement that we thought we were covered.
Not like he answers his calls but never would respond afterwards.
