I am a consumer from another State with property in Virginia. I contacted Elizabeth Thorne in reference to property in State of Virginia. Ms. Thorne resolved a 20 year problem quick and Top Notch. Because I am from another State, I had to trust Elizabeth Thorne to take care of the issue in the State of Virginia. Without the hiring of Ms. Thorne, the problem with the property in the State of Virginia, would not be solved as of today. I would highly recommend Ms. Elizabeth Thorne.

Used Elizabeth for a divorce. Always felt well represented, informed, and in very capable hands. Communication throughout were exceptional, and the entire staff are knowledgeable, friendly and easy to work with. I cannot overstate the exceptional communication, as this allowed me to be minimally involved, while being assured that everything was taken care of in a diligent and timely matter. Elizabeth was a terrific attorney for my divorce. She listened to my concerns, addressed every one of them, she answered emails promptly and ensured I saw drafts in a timely fashion. At the beginning of my process, we developed a timeline and she stuck right to it. Also, because my divorce was fairly uncomplicated and uncontested, the entire process came in under budget. While I certainly hope to never go through another divorce, I wouldn't hesitate to use Elizabeth again if the need arose. Highly Recommend!!

Working with Tom Dunlap of Dunlap Bennett and Ludwig was a delightful experience. My husband and I needed to do estate planning, but didn't know where to begin. Tom guided us through the process and educated us on the various options and choices we needed to make to address all aspects of our estate planning. He was detail oriented, informative, and answered all our questions in a language we could understand. We would highly recommend Tom; he is knowledgeable, reliable, and trustworthy while still having a sense of humor which made him professionally and personally enjoyable to work with. In 2020, I was facing a Suspension and Debarment Case. The new was disheartening since I have had a successful military and contracting career with the Department of Defense and experience as enlisted within U.S. Navy, along with a history of winning awards and building a reputation of helping my local community. I relocated to work for a very large defense contractor, and I saw a lot of fraud and waste. I reported the incidents to Human Resources before I left the job, and I was placed on a PIP. My worker told me you will be punished for going to Human Resources, prior to reporting the incidents, the daily harassment and casual death threats in conversation that co-workers casually mentioned in front of management. I had a successful career at this defense contractor until I started alerting management and human resources about mis-mangement of funds and hardware and system use, and the dangerous comments made by coworkers. To my surprise Human Resources and my management were friends with each other, which led to backlash and retaliation about my terms of employment and false accusations waged towards me. I completed the terms of my employment, and I quit. One year later, the large defense contractor was working towards a proposed Suspension and Debarment notice stating I was a danger to the government. I searched many days for a lawyer, and I read about Ellis Bennett. He was nothing short of an angel, life saver, and career saver. I told him my story, and I provided him artifacts including the experience at the large defense contractor, and dates and times of my activities and projects completed there, along with the synopsis of the toxic environment; he took the time to listen and work with me, and I worked to help him with all the artifacts I kept of my daily experience on the job. It made a stressful and highly emotional time for me, easier to deal with me. Working with Ellis and his team made me feel as though I was his only client; he was efficient with his responses and always took the time to answer my questions. He worked and put together an amazing and beautifully written rebuttal package that showed who I am as a professional. I am forever grateful because through his response, my case was dismissed by the US Navy Suspension and Debarment office. I can continue in peace happily with me new career. I hope no one has to go through my experience, however, if you find yourself in this situation, Ellis is worth the time, money and caring and compassion, and he truly is a straight shooter, very honest. Thank you Ellis for saving my reputation and career, from a toxic environment.

We were so fortunate to find Charles Homiller down in Virgina to help our son (going to school there) with a speeding/traffic ticket. Due to a series of unfortunate circumstances (some of them admittedly our son's fault), Charles was able to take our case and remove a misdemeanor charge from our son's record. This was extremely important to us as he prepares to graduate from college and enter the working world. Charles and his team were prompt, thorough, and very clear on what was needed to support our son's case. Plus there was a lot of timely follow-up, mutual respect, and courtesy throughout the process. After sitting for over 22 hours in my vehicle during the I-95 ice disaster in January, finally moving along and I received a traffic speeding ticket in Emporia Virginia. My lawyer not only help to reduce the fines and penalties, but also did this with me not having to spend the time To travel out of state for court. They went to court for me and represented me well. I started off with another attorney who thought I should just pay what the other party was ordering me to pay. Then I got a referral from a good friend of mine, so I called Jeff Howell. Jeff rolled his sleeves and jumped right in. Less than a week later he had negotiated a settlement agreement for less than half of what the other party wanted. As soon as that was settled I signed him up as my registered agent and look forward to using him for all of my legal needs. If you’re looking for a young and aggressive legal team to represent your business, I highly recommend these guys.

Every divorce is as unique as the individuals involved. I originally hired a large national family law firm to represent me. Their business model was not able to address my personal concerns regarding the divorce. I hired SuAnne in the middle of my contested divorce. She understood my concerns, my values and was able apply that information into “attorney speak”. She affectively communicated with the opposing party’s attorney, negotiated when reasonable and most importantly knew when to stop negotiating. SuAnne rigorously protected my rights as a father and now I can get on with the business of actually parenting my children. BTW: I was VERY pleased with my negotiated financial settlement! I could go on forever, do yourself a favor, stop looking and hire Ms. Bryant.

As a first time for sale by owner house seller I reached out to Rob based off of other reviews I had seen. I was not disappointed! I originally came into contact with Mr. Rowlands when he represented the individual I was suing in General District court. (In other words, he was the opposing counsel). He litigated that case so well and effectively, that I followed up with him regarding a matter I needed assistance with regarding a Federal inmate I'm advocating for. He completed the most thorough and complete version of that particular document (a Power of Attorney,) I have ever seen. The third matter I consulted with him on was regarding a civil matter in General District court I had started on my own, but then needed to follow up on with counsel. For one thing, one generally wouldn't choose to secure the services of former opposing counsel, but due to his excellent work, I was so impressed with Mr. Rowlands as a whole, that I knew he was who I would want handling any legal matter I may ever have. He was a superb litigator (with a difficult client who he was working with under far less than ideal circumstances,) and we worked together to reach a settlement that was satisfactory and in the best interests of all parties. He is a great communicator and truly goes above and beyond to get the job done. Even more impressively, regarding the third matter, while he certainly gave me the resources and information I needed to handle the matter, he also advised me that in his opinion, while I have a case, the time and energy required for me to pursue it really wouldn't be worth it, in the long run. He also advised me of an entirely different option that I will be pursuing in the interest of justice. Mr. Rowlands has impeccable ethics and skill. He is very easy to work with (regardless of which side of the table you're on!) and I could note rate him any higher than I have. I will most definitely go back to Mr. Rowlands for any legal matter I may have in the future. If you need a good lawyer, regardless of how simple or complicated your case may be, he is the man for the job.

I consulted with and then hired Melkerson Law to help me with a case in which a local bank had a judgement against me for a debt that was borderline "unjust" and also, over five years old. Long story short, my ex-wife was a manager at one of their branches and once she saw that my life was taking off without her, this judgement "cloud" was brought to hang over my head. I retained Rathbun and Bateman in late September to assist with a commercial lease issue after multiple attempts at having it corrected with the landlord. During our six month court process...they were completely responsive and made me feel like I was their only client...even though I knew that wasn't the case. Dave Bateman presented my case efficiently and effectively. They were always available to answer my questions (which were many because I've never been in court), and presented me with all options available. Over the course of the last 14 years I have used four different attorneys for the various issues that have arisen regarding custody of my child. Throughout my cases I was left wondering what my counsel was really doing.
