I have had the misfortune of needing many different types of lawyers in my life. The bright spot of that, is being able to recognize what a good attorney looks like, and Gene is absolutely phenomenal. I reached out to the main office regarding my legal situation and the admin/finance departments were always responsive, kind and professional. I felt the pricing was transparent, and fair. I was impressed with the level of communication, dedication and quality of service provided by this firm. Gene is an extremely knowledgeable, helpful and organized professional. His professional connections and legal acumen makes him an incredible attorney. Whenever I had questions Helen and Gene ensured I felt comfortable and was fully informed of each potential branch the case could take. I appreciated their grace with my limited knowledge in the inner workings of DCPP situations. I feel whole heartedly that hiring this form was the best choice I could have made. My case was resolved to my satisfaction, ahead of expected time frame. If you’re reading these reviews as I did prior to hiring this firm, please know this is the best decision.

My experience with this law firm was is that if you have issues with D.C.C.P. Allison Williams is the attorney that you absolutely should get on your side especially, if you don't have close to a squeaky clean past and/or you do not walk a straight line. No matter what you did or what they said you did, the outcome will likely be a lot better if you get Allison on your case. An attorney in the Williams firm represented my wife in a D.C.C.P. case. The outcome in my wife's case was ok but now looking back after meeting Allison she should have paid more money for Allison instead of getting one of the other attorneys in the firm. Although I only spoke with Allison one time with my wife ,knowing the system very well and the past dealings I have had with other attorneys, I feel that Allison is the real deal and can be trusted. I would advise you to pay the extra money she charges for her service rather than getting one of the other attorneys in her firm that will not represent you like Allison will. I am hoping to get Allison to help me gain custody of my 7 year old daughter. I met other attorneys from big expensive firms, and I pick Allison over all of them.

Tried contacting him asking about the point ,but no response after that. Waste of my money and time. After taking money upfront, they have no interest.

I would never hire Ann. She seems to be more on the women’s side rather than being equal. Guys do not hire her LOL. Women go right ahead LOL. Men deserve equal rights too when referring to child support. Make sure you read your contract very carefully before you sign anything she proposes. She tends to leave things out.

I wanted to leave a scathing review of Snellings Law. After my car accident in which I was the victim of a cell-phone user running a red traffic light, I found myself faced with 3 immediate surgeries to walk & 3 spinal injections to relieve 3 herniated disks in my neck. I have a current case still pending in the courts and have lost over $50K in earning in 3 years due to surgeries, PT, Doctors visits, disability for a couple of months etc. Instead of being patient to get their 'pound of flesh' from the settlement, they locked my savings accounts (2) and refuse to work with me or my attorney. I just wanted to let all know just how much I despise this law firm. On every attempt to settle this, I was directed to make a payment. No compassion was shown whatsoever. Kudos for your speed in the courts while I sit around waiting for 'my day' to come.

"I unfortunately had Alexandra Coglianese appointed as our parent coordinator. She exhibited bias and manipulated facts to fit her own narrative. Her dishonesty led to false statements, some of which she corrected when confronted. She even presented inaccurate information to the judge, some of which she later amended in an email sent at 7 PM the night before the hearing. Whether this was deliberate or due to incompetence, she failed to prioritize my daughter’s best interests by presenting misleading narratives to the court and making false statements and unsolicited recommendations. If you’re seeking someone who is fair, honest, and genuinely looks out for the child’s well-being, I recommend avoiding Alexandra Coglianese.”

I have been working with Alex for almost 15 years and she has helped me with two matrimonial cases. From day one, Alex dove deep into the facts of my case, was able to decipher through years of court documents and was absolutely tenacious in advancing and winning my cases. Not only is Alex a highly skilled professional and an excellent attorney, she took a personal interest in me and my children and left no stone unturned. Even when my second case was transferred out of state to North Carolina, Alex recommended an excellent local attorney and stayed involved throughout the whole process. I can’t thank Alex enough for her efforts, results, passion and dedication. I have dealt with many law firms/attorneys, both professionally (in my 35 year career) and personally and Alex is second to none and at the top of my list. I highly recommend Alex! AAA+++

My fiancee and I got into a car accident(not our fault) and it was a very traumatic experience. Not ever being in this situation before I didn't know what to do as far as the legal route. So went on google and stumbled across the Spector Foerst website. I filled out a little questionnaire and supplied information about my accident. Within 5 minutes James Foerst called me and I was surprised by the quick response. After giving him the details of my accident he assured me that his firm would fight tooth and nail to get me and my fiancee fair and just compensation. Over the course of 1 year and 1 month they helped set us up with doctors appointments, rehab and dotting all T's and crossing all I's. J.D. who works at the firm was in constant contact with us over that time. He is very thorough and is persistent about staying on top of everything. He has worked very hard and was always honest about our case. I also want to mention Mike as well. He was our lawyer on the case. He did an excellent job of fulfilling James Foerst promise to us. Never shying away and constantly fighting for what we deserved in the end. We appreciate you James, Mike, and J.D. for all you're hard work and determination to get everything done. I don't ever wish an auto accident on anyone but if you ever need a lawyer/firm to fight for what you deserve then you can't go wrong with them. Id pick them every time and will recommend them to anyone that asks. 5 STARS

I had an open insurance claim that had gone nowhere for 2+ years that was being handled by another law firm. I had lost trust and essentially given up. On a whim, I called Spector Foerst. Michael Cuellar took my call immediately, gave me options, negotiated on my behalf and dealt with both the former law firm and insurance company. Under Michael’s direction the matter was settled in my favor and I had a check in hand in less than 2 weeks. I can’t thank him enough and am so glad I made that call!

I retained this attorney to handle my divorce and would NEVER recommend her to anyone. If I could give a rating less than one star, I would. She lied to me to get me to settle my case, then changed the agreement causing me to lose a substantial amount in marital assets. When I refused to sign the final agreement, she lied to the judge telling the judge that I had Buyers' Remorse. Once I signed the settlement agreement her representation of me declined. Her actions in the handling of my case were more in favor of my ex than her advocating for me. I can handle a legitimate loss but not one caused by lies, especially from someone I have paid to protect my interests. I have spent a lot of time trying to undo the financial damage she has caused me to no avail. She missed deadlines and lied to me about the law. She might be effective in a simple divorce with consenting parties but in a complicated matter such as mine. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS ATTORNEY!

Judith is just another cog wheel in the system, with an arrogant demeanor. She has clearly chosen her career path for money, not to help divided families and children. Judith is rude, hostile, and defensive. Rather than talking to you as a client, or human, she will talk down to you and belittle. What she charges is outrageous, hundreds of dollars for one email. Free consultations and online sources can get you similar results. Do yourself a favor and find a different attorney.

As a divorce lawyer, Judi McDermott has no doubt led a lot of people on a road to freedom. But no matter how well-worn her path is, she'll never take a shortcut. I'm probably no different than most of Judi's clients in that I came to her miserable, scared and desperate to get on with my life. I wanted to be done with marriage, and fast. No matter how contentious things got, though, Judi shored me up and steered me toward an outcome that made my life better in the long run. She looked out for me when I was so low I was unable, and I am eternally grateful. Judi is a powerhouse and whip-smart and a great lady; she's compassionate and dedicated and fair. No one who asks about my divorce escapes the conversation without hearing me rave about my brilliant blond lifesaver lawyer.

I don't have words to describe how amazing this firm is. Lenny represented me during my divorce process and was absolutely amazing. He was attentive, always responsive and did what no other attorney on earth would do, he showed immense sensitivity towards the emotions that ran me during that difficult time. Lenny taught me to not let my feelings cloud my judgement, and to look at the case objectively. Not only was he an absolutely amazing attorney who fought for everything I requested, but he genuinely cares. No case is just "another case". He treats each individual case with care for your outcome both monetarily, emotionally and mentally. Regarding pricing this law firm was EXTREMELY FAIR! One thing as a business owner I've learned is that "cheap work isn't good ,and good work isn't cheap". And this firm did AMAZING work and did not overprice like every other firm would. I was faced with losing assets among other things and Lenny defended me and honestly saved my life! Lenny was a true Mensch. If I am stupid enough to marry someone with as many red flags a second time around, I would gladly be a return customer!!

This review is being written anonymously for the public however the fraud individual who posted the five star, lengthy review, knows EXACTLY who this review is being written by. To begin, the purpose of this review is to inform and alert the public, and to expose richard labbe for the DISINGENUOUS, FRAUD, DISHONEST, "drunk" with "power, Extremely EGOTISTICAL, SPITEFUL, MALICIOUS, IMMATURE & UNPROFESSIONAL, school administrator, that he is. In an article written and published online by staff writer Matthew Sockol, on June 27, 2017, "The Sayreville Board of Education has renewed the contract of the district's Superintendent of Schools for four years. On June 13, the board voted 5 -3 to renew the contract of Superintendent richard labbe ( name typed in lower case intentionally) from July 1 through June 30, 2018. Board Vice President Phyllis Batko and Thomas Biesiada voted NO. Board member Lucy Bloom was absent. According to district administrators, labbe will receive a salary of $196, 584 for 2017-218; $200,516.00 for 2018 -2019; $204,526.00 for 2019 -2020; and $208, 617.00 for 2020 -2021" HENCE his five star review of this law firm. The superintendent is led by greed and guided by his deep hidden insecurities and mental flaws. There is No care for the students of the school district which he has been allowed to "run" The only care he has is keeping his pockets lined with HARD WORKING TAX PAYERS DOLLARS which funds his nearly half a million dollar home. After My first hand dealings with this HIGHLY INCOMPETENT Money Hungry, fragile ego possessing male, I understand clearly why his reappointment in 2017 was WITH OBJECTION. Of course he will write and publish a five star lengthy review of the law firm that has had to represent and defend his plethora of FLAWS in his tenure and INCOMPETENCIES which have led to the School District being sued. For the public who have read and will read richard labbe's review, I will state this, do NOT TRUST A WORD he has written. It's BIAS and he has been paid very well to write his review. If you are an educated parent, who is involved in your child's education, and you stand up and advocate for what is in the BEST INTEREST OF YOUR CHILD, richard labbe WILL attack you and INTENTIONALLHY WEAPONIZE the local police precinct against you in his sick power drunk effort to ruin your name and try to take away your freedom. One can see clearly, that the nickname for this mentally deluded individual, DEFINITELY SUITS him 1000% The law firm that as represented richard labbe, has served as his enabler; permitting him to go UNSCATHED for his plethora of CRIMES AGAINST YOUNG INNOCENT STUDENTS = THE FUTURE of This WORLD. I'm surprised that Robert H. Goodwin has only 2 reviews on Avvo. He offered me excellent representation in a simple divorce case. Because my divorce case was so simple, I struggled to find a non-agressive lawyer: someone who would respect my wishes not to prolong the divorce process by entering into extensive negotiations with my partner and his lawyer. My other concern was to find a lawyer who was reasonably priced; I'm a graduate student on a limited budget. Goodwin offered both. In fact, he reduced my rate to a "student rate" that he offers Rutgers graduate students. He and his small staff are a pleasure to work with. They were personable, empathetic, and reliable. He made a difficult process worry-free. I highly recommend.

If I could leave negative stars for this firm, I would. This law firm is working on behalf of Kensington Court Condominiums to remove my sick and mentally incapacitated grandmother from her home. William H. Brosha' Esquire, and the entire law firm are trying to unethically remove my grandmother from her home. He and his team have caused my grandmother epileptic and panic attacks from the stress of losing her home which she has been in for the last 2 decades. We make our payments, and have an agreement with the bank to keep the home. Despite this, William and his team of demon vultures are trying to still remove her from her home. We keep trying to settle with the firm, but they refuse. These greedy parasites wont take any offer no matter how high. If you can avoid this firm like the plague please do. They are in the business of teaming with house associations to remove teannants they personally dont like. Last time I checked, how you feel about someone does not give you the right to remove them from their home.

Seth Broder was hired to provide legal service for me as power of attorney for the sale of my sister’s home in NJ. I chose Seth for two reasons. The first was that my sister used Shari of the firm for some estate legal services. The second was I checked on the internet what was a typical fee for attorney service for a home sale in NJ and found it to be $1500 to $2000. When I asked Seth what his fee would be he stated on the phone call “about $1500” as the” buyer attorney has more heavy lifting” As it turned out the sale was elongated due to the buyer having some difficulty securing financing. However, the fee ended up being over $5000. That is more than triple the original estimate. When asked to reduce the fee or even acknowledge the original estimate Seth refused. The fee agreement was based on hourly rates not a fixed fee. The services provided were professional and high quality but I felt I was taken advantage of in the high price required to be paid.

Too expensive for our needs. Charged $8000 just for two meetings and some emails, yet he produced no engineering report. Promised a lot, but I think he was expecting a lot more money down the road and yet had produced nothing. Unsuitable lawyer for small private home owner Sandy case involving less than 40K. No return on investment. We ended up having to switch to another lawyer after a month and he wouldn't return our money even though he had not produced anything yet. I thought this might be the answer to my problem. A Sandy contractor bailed half way through the project and kept insurance money of thirty thousand dollars. I should have never selected a corporate lawyer. I spend over five thousand dollars on two meetings and reading 10 emails, and they delivered nothing after a month, claiming they needed more time. In over a month, they failed to inform me that the contractor was already broke and had other lawsuits against him. I found this out for free on line. I don't know what I paid five thousand dollars for, I had to get another lawyer to handle by special court lawsuit negotiations and answer the contractor's small counterclaim. Big mistake.

What a Mediation Lawyer Can Do for You

A mediation lawyer specializes in resolving disputes outside of the courtroom through a process called mediation. Mediation involves a neutral third-party mediator who helps the disputing parties reach a mutually acceptable agreement. Mediation lawyers can represent clients in various matters, including divorce, business disputes, employment conflicts, contract issues, personal injury claims, and more.

Unlike litigation, mediation is a less adversarial and more cost-effective way to settle disputes, often leading to faster resolutions and preserving relationships between the parties involved.

When Should I Hire a Mediation Lawyer?

Consider hiring a mediation lawyer when you’re involved in a dispute and want to avoid the time, expense, and stress of going to court. Common reasons to hire a mediation lawyer include:

  • Divorce or child custody disputes: A mediation lawyer can help you reach a fair settlement on issues like property division, alimony, and parenting arrangements without going to court.
  • Business or contract disputes: For disagreements such as contract disputes, partnership conflicts, or intellectual property issues, a mediation lawyer can assist in resolving the matter through negotiation.
  • Employment disputes: Issues like wrongful termination, discrimination, or wage disputes can be addressed through mediation to find common ground and avoid lawsuits.
  • Personal injury cases: Mediation can help both parties agree on compensation in cases like car accidents or slip-and-fall claims without a prolonged court battle.
  • Property disputes: Disputes over property ownership, landlord-tenant issues, or boundary disagreements can be settled more amicably through mediation.
  • Family or inheritance disputes: Mediation can help resolve conflicts over wills or trusts without further dividing the family.

What Does a Mediation Lawyer Do?

A mediation lawyer provides a range of services to help clients resolve disputes through negotiation and mutual agreement. Their responsibilities often include:

  • Representing your interests: Acting as your advocate during mediation to ensure your rights are protected and you understand your legal options.
  • Preparing for mediation: Reviewing the facts of the case, gathering necessary documents, and advising you on potential resolutions.
  • Facilitating communication: Helping to facilitate open and constructive dialogue between parties to clarify points of contention.
  • Negotiating settlements: Assisting in negotiating fair and balanced settlement terms that are in your best interest.
  • Drafting mediation agreements: Preparing the official mediation agreement that outlines the terms of the settlement, which is often legally binding.
  • Avoiding litigation: Aiming to reach a settlement that eliminates the need for a court trial, saving time and resources for both parties.
  • Handling complex legal issues: Explaining the legal implications of various settlement terms in cases with complicated legal matters.

How Are Mediation Lawyers Paid?

Mediation lawyers typically charge for their services based on the complexity of the case and the time involved. Common payment methods include:

  • Hourly rate: Charging an hourly fee ranging from $150 to $500 or more, depending on experience and case complexity.
  • Flat fee: For simpler mediations, some lawyers may offer a flat fee covering all legal work involved in the process.
  • Retainer: In ongoing or complex cases, a retainer may be required as an upfront payment billed against as work progresses.

Discuss fees and payment structures with your lawyer during the initial consultation to understand the cost of mediation services.

How Much Does a Mediation Lawyer Cost?

The cost of hiring a mediation lawyer depends on several factors, including the case's complexity, the lawyer’s experience, and the time required to resolve the dispute. General cost estimates include:

  • Hourly rates: Typically between $150 and $500 per hour.
  • Flat fees: For simple mediations, fees may range from $1,000 to $5,000.
  • Total mediation costs: Can vary widely, from $2,000 to $10,000 for straightforward cases, up to $10,000 to $50,000 or more for complex disputes.

Always request a detailed cost estimate during your consultation to understand total expenses.

How to Check the Credibility of a Mediation Lawyer

To ensure you're hiring a reputable mediation lawyer, take the following steps:

  • Verify their bar status: Confirm with your state bar association that the lawyer is licensed and has no disciplinary history.
  • Look for mediation experience: Review their website or professional profile for specialization in mediation and successful case histories.
  • Read client reviews and testimonials: Check platforms like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, or Google for client feedback.
  • Ask for references: Request references from past clients familiar with their mediation skills.
  • Check for certifications: Look for certifications from organizations like the American Arbitration Association (AAA) or the Association for Conflict Resolution (ACR).

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To maximize the effectiveness of your initial meeting, bring the following:

  • Relevant documents: Any materials related to the dispute, such as contracts, emails, financial records, or court filings.
  • List of key issues: A detailed list of the main points of contention that need resolution.
  • Timeline of events: A chronological account of events leading up to the dispute, including prior resolution attempts.
  • Goals for the mediation: Be prepared to discuss your desired outcomes and areas where you're willing to compromise.
  • Questions for the lawyer: Any queries about the mediation process, fees, or their approach to dispute resolution.

Being well-prepared will help the lawyer assess your case effectively and provide the best possible advice for resolving your dispute through mediation.
