Of all the lawyers I’ve dealt with in my life Neil Flynn at Horn Wright, LLP is the only one who took the time to listen to everything I had to say and answer all my questions before even discussing how he would be paid. Once we laid the foundation for our attorney-client relationship, he gave me several options including a straight contingency fee, a retainer/hourly rate fee structure or a hybrid of the two. His bills were always reasonable and when I questioned something he made sure to discuss it with me in person until I was satisfied. Most importantly, he did a fantastic job representing me and my small business when we needed a civil litigation attorney. Having never retained a personal injury attorney, we knew little of what to expect nor how one might treat the member of our family who sought legal representation. Our family member suffered injuries and loss of income due to a fall on the property in which they leased a small office space. Someone recommended Finz & Finz, P.C. We could not have chosen a better firm to help our family member navigate this experience.
Finz and Finz and their team of expert staff helped our elderly family member through every step of pursuing legal justice for a fall that, had the building been properly maintained and adequately lit in all public spaces, never should have happened. Lance was professional and also very accommodating. I felt like he met me where I was and patiently walked me through a very hard time in my life. There were certain principles I wanted to abide by, and even if he wisely advised otherwise the communication was always respectful. I first contacted Afia via her IG page, answered few questions about NIW then suggested a consultation call which I did. I booked a call and sent my CV, she said that my chances are strong and recommended going for NIW.
Now, it is worth noting that I consulted three lawyers before, all said they would not take my case since I do not have journal articles published. Regardless of that, I chose to take Afia's recommendation hire Yunus law. At the end of the day impression is perception and after the consultation call and watching her IG reels, the impression I had she is professional, knows what she does, and honest, so that is why I still took her recommendation although three others said no strong chances.
Afia and her team are committed, work professionally , and most importantly diligent in following up regarding the documents needed for the process. Also they generously premium processed my petition before my payment (I do not think that happens in other places :)
Finally I got my I-140 approved and I can't wait to apply for the green card.
I highly recommend working with Afia and her team, and if you are not sure, call them and prepare some good questions to help you make your final decision.

I'm a permanently disabled woman and I contacted Ira as I am currently dealing with a horrific living situation which has left me with lasting and possibly permanent lung damage due to mold in my rental home. I have gone to multiple doctors, including an allergist and a pulmonologist, who both confirmed that the mold was causing and exacerbating my consistently worsening symptoms, which has required multiple new medications and treatments just to mitigate until the mold is remediated by the slumlord. The mold was confirmed with a very extensive and expensive test from a local company that specializes in finding mold, even airborne mold. The conditions inside my home tested as "unacceptably high levels". I brought all of this information to Ira, and he told me this was a good case of clear cut negligence in which I had already done my due diligence to gather proof. He asked for more information regarding the situation which I provided, and we set up a video conference for the following week so he had ample time to review and understand everything. Unfortunately, at the meeting itself, his demeanor changed from caring and concerned, to victim blaming and gaslighting. He then insisted it would be "difficult to prove" in court that the mold was causing my health issues, despite the clear documentation as well as testimonial of my pulmonologist, who said the reason is "without a doubt" the airborne mold, which I am highly allergic to. He then proceeded to tell me my tone over text messages to my slumlord was "unladylike", and that I needed to act in a certain way when addressing an abusive, predatory landlord. Obviously, I disagree with the sentiment that evil individuals are owed any amount of respect as the default, especially after they have shown their intentions in harming disabled tenants. I will continue to pursue retaining a personal injury attorney who believes in their clients and doesn't shame them for advocating for themselves while being actively abused, and already suffering from severe C-PTSD, which Ira also knew about, because he asked me specifically if I suffer from it. As a caregiver for many years of a family member who had Parkinson's disease, our Licensed Clinical Social Worker at our hospital Neurology Department presented me with three names of eldercare law firms as my family member's health was declining.
