Darin is a trustworthy and easy to work with attorney. He works quickly and gets to the point. He keeps the facts clear and he makes sure you understand each part of the process. Information he provides is kept in everyday language so you don't have to be a genius to understand all the legal meanings. He uses time wisely and keeps things moving in the right direction. He even has a great sense of humor that can benefit you through any process you may be going through. Darin is an all around excellent attorney, and a great guy to work with. I hired Josh to help me with a personal injury suit, earlier this year. Josh went above and beyond to make sure he did everything to help me come out of the suit with the best possible outcome. He was prompt at answering texts, calls, and would always keep me informed of what was going on in the process, ie: timetables, required paperwork, his own legal fees, possible outcomes. Attorney Patrick Moore accepted my personal injury case after another law firm (which claimed to specialize in personal injury cases) withdrew from the case. The original law firm had my case for 4 years, and their stated reason for withdrawal was that my medical records did not clearly support the insurance claim, and the case was therefore too complicated. Because the case was 4 years old, no other lawyers wanted to even look at it, but Attorney Moore agreed to review it. He accepted the case without hesitation, and was successful in getting the insurance company to pay on the claim without going to Court. There was no hype or sugar coating. He always responded promptly to my phone calls and emails, and provided updates as developments occurred. My impression is that he takes pride in a job well done and focuses on that rather than just making a quick buck for himself. Thank you Atty. Moore.

I met Rob as he was just beginning his professional tenure. He "looked" very young, like a younger brother. What I soon learned was that his motivation and tenacity for helping people with their legal issues was leaps and bounds beyond others. Rob is kind and compassionate but more importantly, he educates to ensure that you understand the law. Rob spent hours researching the "fine print", so-to-speak, finding numerous loopholes in a contract that I had signed. Many other lawers would not have taken my case, because they believed that the outcome would be good. Vincent understood that I had suffered greatly, and deserved a chance for legal justice. I was referred to JKLF by Legalshield. I hired them to handle my divorce. Boyd Roberts along with his assistant Trudy went above and beyond my expectations.
Trudy worked a lot of late hours drawing up paperwork and making sure everything was documented correctly. If she had a question she'd call me direct to verify. She's very respectful and a hard worker.
Boyd is a no BS attorney but absolutely professional at the same time. He knows the law and uses it rather than getting angry and talking smack. We imposed sanctions 2 or 3 different times because my ex wife and her attorney were doing nothing to move it along. They weren't getting paperwork and documents to us that the judge ordered. We ended up settling outside of court, she agreed to a cash settlement and I kept my whole retirement account. Boyd and/or Trudy drew up the settlement agreement and still always promptly answered any questions i had. Boyd was always 2 steps ahead of her attorney thro the whole process even tho she filed the divorce. He was reasonable and fair, always knew what to expect and how to handle each situation. I was in an automobile accident that was triggered by a 'phantom car' (that is what it was defined as because it left and no one had any information on it), was a passenger in a car that was not mine, had a major concussion and was unconscious for a few days. All of this in a different state.
Mr. Richmond took my case.
I have been very impressed with Mr. Richmonds' honesty and professionalism. I really appreciate the time he takes to explain and help me understand where my case is at. Then proceed to make sure I understand what the following steps are going to be taken to keep the case moving forward. He makes it look easy.

Mr. Kevin Hanbury was assigned to me as the attorney for my Dad's estate by the Probate Judge and oversaw the 2 year process from start to finish. I was hurt in a pedestrian accident. A car hit me while I was walking in a crosswalk. My injuries were severe . I made the biggest mistake of my life one night and was pretty sure that I had destroyed my career and my life. I called Rob on the recommendation of a friend and he immediately talked me off the ledge, showing care and compassion that an idiot like me did not deserve.. Once the proceedings started, Rob was as effective as could be imagined with regard to handling the case but more importantly he kept me fully informed about what was going on. Telander and Telander handled a few cases on my behalf over ten years ago when I was in high school. The state pressed some pretty hefty charges considering the circumstances, and T&T had everything dropped or reduced. They provided confidence throughout the whole process and reduced a lot of stress initiated after the incident. They definitely treat you like a person and not a case #.

I do not feel like I can write a review that truly describes how worthy David Weinstein truly is. I retained Dave for the first time 8 years ago and I have worked with him several times since then. I wouldn’t recommend any other attorney for the Lake and Cook county area. Hiring an attorney is never going to be cheap but his prices are reasonable... but it’s his work inside and outside of the courtroom that truly makes him the best bang for your buck. He's good, tough, professional and knows the law and the practice of law. I have hired him for several fields of law, and I have recommended him many times, and no one has been let down by his performance.
Dave’s approach to customer service is fantastic. He is responsive unlike many attorneys. He may not tell you what you want to hear, but he will tell you what you NEED to hear. He prepares you for whatever is to come. He was extremely helpful when he outright told me how I need to appear in court, examples- attire, attitude and how to speak to a judge. Always keep in mind that an attorney is not a therapist, many people seem to think an attorney is going to take all of the calls about personal issues that do not directly relate to their case... which is an unreasonable request for an attorney. I may have pushed his patience in this category a time or two.
In the courtroom he remains cool, collected and sharp witted. I was amazed by how resourceful and sedulous he is. I have the utmost respect for the fact that he won’t take on work he doesn’t believe will benefit the client, meaning he won’t have you pay for a service that he cannot accomplish. Overall, I could never ask for more in an attorney!

I first would like to say that I unfortunately have been in Lake County courts for many years of my life. Fighting different felony cases. I have pretty much dealt first hand with a lot of the most respected felony lawyers in the area. Not to take anything away from this websites top rated but David should be much higher rated.
I know personally two separate murder cases that he has won in the same year with two completely different cases. I was refered to David by one of these men. I had him represent a family member in a felony drug case. David was able to secure misdemeanor probation for my family member. Which is a win because my family member was looking at 4-15 years. I ended up in a similar situation and hired David. I was facing a class X felony (6-30 years) David was able to secure me probation also. I hired Mr. Brandwein to represent my son 34 yrs. old who was arrested for being the only male of color around when the police arrived in Lincoln Park in response to a 23 yr. old who was intoxicate acting up. Mr. Brandwein obtained the tapes from the pizza parlor and was able to bring the case to quick resolution.
It was evident when we arrived at the court hearing the interactions with other lawyers, judge, police and other personnel that he is extremely respected. I highly recommend him.
