I hired Shawn Lescault in January of 2016, after I was served notice of being sued over an easement/property case that I had previously won in 2013. Mr. Lescault did an amazing job. He was understanding and kind and did everything in his power to defend us. He came out to our home and even tried to broker settlement offers with the plaintiff' s to no avail. He worked on motions, affidavits, researched case laws that proved my rights, studied prior testimonies and presented those documents to the courts from my previous trial that proved that the lawsuit should be dismissed by the Doctrine of res judicata. Thanks to his hard work the lawsuit was dismissed! I am very grateful to have Mr. Lescault as my attorney.

Lee Huttner was recommended to me by another lawyer for a personal injury lawsuit in which I was a passenger in a car that was in an accident and the same lawyer couldn't represent both me and the driver of the car I was in. The whole process was daunting and scary at first but as soon as Mr. Huttner took over my case I felt totally at ease. I actually preferred him to the referring lawyer and immediately saw how knowledgeable and savvy he is. My family is full of lawyers and they agreed that he seemed to have a really good handle on the process. Ultimately Mr Huttner was able to negotiate an even better settlement for me than I ever expected. I consulted and hired Michael in 2012, after I was in a multi-car accident. This was an extremely difficult time for me as not only did I sustain injuries in the accident, but my 6 year old daughter was also in the car with me and I was 6 months pregnant. I was unsure as to what I should do with regards to my own health, how it had effected my unborn child and also what lasting effects this would have on my 6 year old. The entire situation was very emotional for me and when speaking with Michael he was always very sensitive to my needs as well as those of my children. Whenever I had a question he would always take my calls or get back to me as quickly as possible. Our lawyer advised us that in the eyes of the law we had a weak case since we did not have written documents (it was a verbal agreement) We strongly expressed that although we realized the weakness in the case, we knew what the truth was and felt we wanted to go forward. Once the decision was made to proceed legally, she handled everything professionally and on a timely basis. Any and all of questions or concerns were addressed, even if it was something we didn't want to hear. We always knew where we stood, what was next and other options if things didn't go as we had hoped. To me, her belief in the case and making things right for my Dad meant the world to me. We were able to agree on a very nice settlement due to our lawyer knowing how to handle the case legally with the appropriate court motions and tactful conversations with the opposing lawyer. My injury was due to a bus accident which meant I was going up against the powerful MTA and the NYTA. This lawyer is excellent. He went to a top law schoold, and wrote a textbook for lawyers on how to handle each type of accident case. I had a construction accident where I fell off a scaffold, and he got me millions of dollars. Senior Citizens... A new Management Company took over the building we have been living in for over 41 years and started pretty much harassing all the Senior Citizens and all Tenants that have had rent stabilized and rent controlled apartments. At first, I tried handling this in the Housing Court myself back in September. 2016, when this all started after they purchased the building in August 2016. To no avail and after 6 trips to the Courthouse myself and being taken for a ride by their lawyers, I decided it was time in November to hire a lawyer. This is when I found Florentina. From the very first hello on the phone she was so pleasant, concerned and promised she would help and not to worry. She got right on to everything, called their lawyer and counseled us every day via phone and email numerously, to ensure we were at ease at all times. When we first met her in Court back in November 2016, she was with us from 9am-4pm as their lawyer decided to play games and play the system to their advantage. Florentina did not stand for it at all. She took total control and filed the proper paperwork for a new court hearing in front of the judge, along with a complaint for repairs which they refused to fix. We went back to Court in Dec. 2016 and again in front of the Judge on Jan. 2017 and by Feb 17th, everything was settled in our favor. She made the judge see that we (my parents were taken advantage of and made it a point to show the landlord and new owner that she was not going to stand for it and will protect the rights of my parents, senior citizens until the very end). I cannot begin to tell all of you what a load off my shoulders Florentina took. She took care of my parents like they were her own.
