Found Haasty at her initial firm she was with and she was awesome. She left that firm and I actually stuck with her and was happy with her attentiveness and compassion. My Family law case was a couple years total and a few months before I was to finally put the whole ordeal behind me, she literally disappeared. The only word I got from her new firm was that she was not available for my case and assigned me to another attorney I knew nothing about. A year and a half of hard work and trust tossed aside with not even an email from Haasty saying...well something at least. If it were just me involved that’s one thing but everything was and still is about my daughter and that’s the worst part. No explanation, we never had any slight hint of an argument, she had my total trust and vanished. Clearly she has come back into the google searches and good for her. But to anyone who might be thinking about retaining her, just keep it in the back of your mind to expect the unexpected from her.

Day One, I was scared and beyond afraid. Marybeth Halloway has helped me come a long way. My ex and I finalized our divorce in 2016. We only went to court 1 time. Custody- done in a few hours, TRO- done, she made sure to expressed what I wanted in the final round. She's not someone who can be pushed around. She's a strong force. She knows the OC courts very well and has the best bench manners. She's very well established and she's taken seriously. I was lucky to have her be the 2nd phone call I made as I was googling an atty. I got lucky. She is usually busy, bcs that's how good she is. I referred a friend of mine also 2 years ago. It was a bit difficult for him because there was somewhat of a language barrier, but he was very happy with the final divorce also. Be sure to know exactly what you want and she will help you. She was there for me all around the clock. She restored my faith in people i when my heart was shattered. She will tell you exactly how it is and will not candy coat anything. Disclaimer: The following message is all alleged claims to protect myself from A legal pursuit over my opinions on this man. I get a feeling he’s had some pre-conceived counter-retaliation for me anyways.
I was referenced to Ron’s legal practice by an allegedly abusive employer after losing my left arm to paralysis and fracturing my neck and every limb in my body from a hit and run pedestrian-vehicle accident.
My experiences with the firm would lead me to believe that you would probably be subject to further injury trusting his practice. And if you wised up to this sort of thing he has the network to gag you over it. I wouldn’t trust him again and I don’t think anyone should.

He did not know what he was doing, and the case went nowhere, settling for a fraction of what it was worth. Tuan Nguyen should have stuck to what he knows - tax filings for small family businesses in Westminster and Huntington beach.

I hired Mr. Nguyen after meeting him at an accounting function, as he also does tax filings in the Vietnamese community. He committed to preparing an estate plan for me and my wife. After obtaining a retainer of $5,000, which he insisted I bring in cash, he discussed various options for living trusts and our separate property, and creating family limited partnerships to protect our assets. His discussion made sense, and we agreed to move forward on the strategy we discussed. 2 months elapsed, and since we had no update, I asked to meet with im. He kept rescheduling. I asked for an email or written update. He provieded nothing. After 6 months and numerous requests, he called and told me that I was a none cooperating client, and that he was not going to work with us anymore. I asked return of retainer. Tuan Nguyen responded by saying tht we owed him money, and he was going to sue us, if we wanted to have a fight with him. He also told my wife that he wuld report us to the IRS for trying to avoid taxes. This claim was false and baseless - mean spirited threat that he as our lawyer should have never made. We decided to just forget this nightmare, and move on to another attorney.
