I've never been in an car accident in my life, either as a driver or pedustrian until one night on my way to work. As I was crossing the street a car came around the corner and hit me and dragged me down the street. It left me with a dislocated arm, head and face injuries. I was hospitalized for 6 days and couldn't return to work. I hired a lawyer who I could tell did not have my best interest at heart and would not answer my calls or emails. It's bad enough I'm in a healing process and now I felt hit by him too. So I fired him and hired another firm who had Jeff Crissman to represent my case. In no time soon Jeff hit the floor running. Jeff Chrissmen was a great help, knowledgeable, personable and very informative from the first consult with my families case. Although my families case didn’t fall under his law firms specialties, he went over and above to network out to find the most trustworthy and best fitting firms to help with our case. I experienced a slip and fall at a local store and visited my doctor. He told me to have various bones x-rayed and other parts checked out. I realized then that my medical insurance would pay for certain things but not for many of the other issues involved. I knew I'd need to have help paying for what was not covered so I met with a personal injury lawyer friend and asked him if or what could be done. I was referred to Jaimi Groothuis, who is a lawyer in his firm and our journey began immediately.
As it turned out, my original injury refused to heal despite all doctors' best efforts. That injury never did heal, and after a year went by I needed surgery to repair the break. The extremely agonizing pain caused a massive amount of stress. The pain and stress from this injury too its toll on my body. Ulcers formed and my stomach disintegrated to the point where it had to be removed. My simple fall had become a major medical disaster with my surgeon even questioning whether I would survive through two of my surgeries.
The entire ordeal unfolded over almost 3 years and during the entire time Jaimi called and helped us in any way she could. Her concern even led her to call my husband while I was in one of my surgeries just to find out how I was doing.
During the 3 years of this predicament she collected data and spoke to everyone necessary involved in this case. Jaimi was able to get medical records and doctors' billing records and lists of every medication that was given to me. She was stalwart and thorough in her dealings and that served us well when negotiations finally began.
When we first discussed this case I was immediately impressed with Jaimi's integrity as she spoke about legalities and procedures. I have even more respect for her work, her actions and her knowledge after spending 3 years in her care. While she is as nice a human being as I've ever met, she is a knowledgable, capable and a consummate professional that anyone would be proud to have in court.

When Jaimi was brought onto our case it started to finally makes sense to me "the client" as she really helped clarify and walk us through many of the situations. She took time and effort to answer the numerous emails and phone calls with clarifying answers to help ease my mind. I always felt better once Jaimi got back to me. A little over three years ago in December of 2020, I was involved in a hit-and-run car accident (on the job) where the other driver fled the scene. Being that it was my first ever car accident, and the identity of the other driver was unknown, I didn't really know how to go about seeking legal advice, or if it would even be worth it. However, after being released from worker's comp care prematurely, and still being in pain, I decided to get a consultation from a legal firm. I utilized Google to search for personal injury attorneys in my area, and I'm forever grateful that I came across Bentley & More! I decided to establish contact with them based on their numerous 5-star reviews, and the "family feel" that their firm seemed to have. They were very quick to set-up my phone consultation, and they took the time to listen to my story and concerns.
Throughout the 2.5 years of being a client of Bentley & More, I interacted the most with Braydon Bentley as he represented me as my personal injury attorney, and I never once felt overlooked or that I wasn't being taken seriously. Also, I'm not sure that my injuries would have ever been properly diagnosed if it weren't for Braydon connecting me with the medical specialist that he did!
In the end, both of my cases (worker's comp & personal injury) resulted in a very positive outcome, and I honestly don't think that would have happened had I decided to be represented by a different firm. Because of the dedication and persistence provided by Bentley & More, I am now able to provide a comfortable life for my family while also receiving treatment for my injuries long-term.

We were the owners of a Home Care company and were sued for a wrongful death by the family of our client.
They were represented by 2 lawyers plus they hired a video company to video all of our depositions.
Some of the videos were damaging.
Jades preparation and presentation was so excellent that we won the case by a wide margin. She also found expert witnesses that were so excellent that they completely negated the experts for the other side.
Can't say enough about here dedication and preparation
and memory of all of the details.
I would highly recommend her to any one needing an excellent attorney to represent them.

Jade was extremely professional and very detailed.
At all times that she met with me she only asked very pertinent questions and also knew all the details by heart. She was also creative in her ways to approach different situations.
Jade, was also excellent at explaining the different issues that arose during the whole process of gathering the evidence and making me fell more at ease with all the bad information that the other team was throwing at us. Last summer I walked into the Law Offices of Brent Duque and met with both Brent and Matt regarding my claim. They were both very compassionate and seemed like they genuinely cared about what I had gone through. After that first meeting, Matt was so good at calling me and keeping me updated about what was going on with my case, what the other side was saying, and providing his advice on what direction we should go. Attorney Ryan Tomalas and his staff went above and beyond my expectations representing me from a horrible dog attack.
Between Mr. Tomalas and his secretary Porsche, they were so kind and sympathetic walking me through this difficult situation I faced.
Mr. Tomalas was thorough in asking me questions on my case as well as consulting those who were involved in my initial ER visit at the hospital, personal physician, my insurance company, physical therapist, plastic surgeon, photographer for injuries, etc. On the other side, Mr. Tomalas and staff represented me in regards to the dog owners insurance company making sure I was compensated according to the laws of the state of California and my personal situation. Mr. Tomalas made sure all expenses incurred from this dog attack were paid from the settlement; I didn't have to do anything, nor would I have known what to do.

I came to Bentley & More when I was rear-ended really bad and I was having bad problems from the accident and the insurance company was playing to many games with me. I looked at all the other lawyers out there that you see on TV and hear on the radio that promise you the world, how much success they have had in the past and how great they are. Bentley & More was the most professional one I had talked to that treated me like family and not just another client like all the rest.
I sat down with them in our initial meeting, they explained everything they were going to do for me and how the process works and I mean the whole process. I was able to go home read all the paperwork and if I had any questions, they walked me through it all until I was perfectly satisfied and completely comfortable. All the rest of the firms wanted me to sign right away before I left and I just tried to push me through before I could really understand what was about to happen. Heaven forbid I wanted to take time and read and understand or have a question, just was not comfortable but they didn't care, all I heard was " Are you going to sign up or not. "
So of course I went with the firm that showed me well done is better then well said, I signed with Bentley & More and I am so happy I did. They assigned me one of their associates Nico Mamone, he was a Rock Star Lawyer, with as I was to find out, an incredible reputation. Nico worked with me throughout the whole process as the insurance companies lawyers tried to dig in their heals and gave super low payouts. Nico was very forthright with me and told me what he wanted to do before he did it and told them NO at ever turn and called all their bluffs.
Nico was very well prepared and ready to go the distance and prepare for trail, they kept playing games and moving our court date back but Nico never wavered. I had his personal phone number and was a complete bother but he never was not there and talked me through all my issues. This was a long process but knowing ahead of time what the process was and having him there to always answer my calls was a godsend.
The trail was 1 month away after it had been moved back 3 times but we went into mediation and Nico was so ready and I mean so ready it was scary. So when our case was presented to the judge and client they knew they had to settle this case, they were going to lose and they didn't want to go to court. The case was settled in two sessions of mediation because Nico would not give in to their small offers, he had a number which we agreed on before hand and would not budge. They said they need more time to come up with more money and we settled in the first 2 hours of the second session for a lot more then our original number we had in mind. If that isn't a Rock Star, I don't know what is.
The settlement is life changing and will ensure my family and I will be well taken care of medically and financially for life. Thank you Nico for all the hard work, fighting for my family and I and making this long and arduous process so much easier then it really was.
Bentley & More is the place to go if your really need a good law firm who cares about you as a person and isn't just willing to settle to make a quick dollar. I will be telling all my friends and family if they find themselves is this kind of unfortunate situation as I was in and oh yea, ask for Nico the Rock Star too. I called different law firms and Berstein Law was the only firm I called that someone ( not an answering machine) actually answered my call.
