Matthew Minikus is an educated and experienced attorney, but what sets him apart is his passion and ability to fight in the courtroom. He was focused and confident as he presented my case, skillfully interviewed witnesses, and quickly objected to unfair statements. We were successful because of this but even more importantly is that he put in the work.
We went to court four times, and each time he took me into a private room to thoroughly review the case. He examined it from every angle, over and over, until we developed a strong, truthful argument to present to the judge. In stark contrast, other attorneys simply waved to their clients, had a brief chat, and then spent the rest of their time socializing until their cases were called. It was off putting and sad how some professionals can be so indifferent.
Please remember that if this is something serious don't just assume people are going to do the right thing. Call Matthew and talk to him for 15 minutes. A small amount of time to invest in your future. I'm sure you will be happy.

Always a great experience. Danielle (attorney) responds in a prompt matter and is always willing to answer my questions and give advice about needs that come up for clients and the real estate transactions. Desmond (paralegal) does a great job getting back to me and in a couple transactions this past week was amazing about keeping me in the loop (I'm sure I contacted him 15 times in a 2 day period). As an agent I appreciate their systems and the way I can keep up with every step of the transaction and interaction with my clients. I am sure there are others behind the scenes but most of my interaction is with Danielle and Desmond and its always an A+ interaction.

Missy & Megan came through in true time of need. Missy was referred to me through a friend, and I am so glad I went with her. Missy was informative about my divorce, emergency custody and custody. A car accident is really just that – an accident. No one plans for it, it’s completely unexpected. For me, the effects of my car accident are something that I will deal with for the rest of my life. The fact that I had an injury from my accident was incredibly frustrating and made me angry. Attorney Ray Hayes, is an exceptional attorney, who does exactly what he says, he will try to do. He returns phone calls, and he is a good Christian man that cares about his clients. He goes above and beyond the call of duty, charges a very reasonable fee, and does not nickel and dime you. I regret that I could only put five stars for him because in reality I would give him 5,000 stars. I was charged with Assault With A Deadly Weapon With Intent To Kill. He got my case dismissed by the state two months before my court date proving I acted in self-defense. I am a former paralegal and have worked with several different attorneys and at the Forsyth county Courthouse . He is by far the best attorney I have ever dealt with, and I highly recommend him. I had to require Input a and do hours of research on my own behalf. To require what I'm entitled to. Then attorney JARED PEARCE was extremely rude and demanding that I sale. A 40 thousand dollar vehicle of my spouse's.To pay him for his services and out of a ten thousand dollar check he demanded 6 of it and if I didn't agree to that he would keep it all. So I've paid this form 7 thousand dollars this year. And have received 4 thousand dollars. You know. What they say the devil wears Prada. Before you hire this firm. While we did win our case, even if we lost, I’d still be giving 5-stars. Mr. Williams helped my 80+ year old father and our family with a Civil Domestic Violence case in Durham County against his X-girlfriend. Mr. Williams set expectations from the beginning that we have a high probability to win our case, but it won’t be easy and there is no guarantee as the defense may provide strong evidence as well. Part of our success is ensuring Mr. Williams has all critical evidence like videos, police reports, emails, time-lines, viable witnesses…etc. Don’t assume your attorney is going to do all the work, you need to be an active participant in organizing the evidence for him. Our court case date was rescheduled about 4 times because the court was too busy to hear our case, but after 6 months of waiting, we finally got our day in court. Mr. Williams is professional, personable and most importantly knowledgeable at conveying interpretation of the law. During our trial he was tactical introducing evidence. He did a great job conducting cross with witnesses the defense had and he was able to extract information that was beneficial to our case. He hadn’t previously asked for the defense to pay legal fees in other DVPO cases, but we were successful in this request with the judge.
This is actually the second DVPO case we’ve brought to the court this year, but our first attorney just didn’t have the “fight” we were looking for. Mr. Williams embraced that “fight” we wanted. Someone that was passionate and didn’t throw his hands up when things got tough or complex. He thought critically and creatively in presenting and justifying our case. Preparing for a trial is one skill, but thinking on the fly during a trial and having the nimbleness to adapt is a crucial skill that Mr. Williams excelled at.
Lastly, the efficiency of his office was also great! His office staff is friendly and great at communicating with upcoming court dates or other information they may need. His office staff often met us at court for the first 15-30minutes while court was getting in session and Mr. Williams was in route. Great organization and support from his office.
Loved our representation and highly recommend Mr. Williams.

I was charged incorrectly with AWDW and in our first meeting he was able to quickly extract that my case was actually self defense and defense of others.
