Jim helped write a creative contract for our professional photo and video agency. It is a specialist contract for creatives and encompasses many bespoke terms for copyright and photographer specific terms as well as come special sub-contractor agreements, etc. He was knowledgeable and also took extra time to research areas that were not already in his wheelhouse. He was prompt and kind.

Tony Abrams and Miwa Soto helped me feel safe and calm about the financial aspects of my dad's passing. Tony listened carefully, answered all my questions, and provided further resources. High points included Tony's diagram of assets on the whiteboard, and all three of us finding the funny side of Dad's handwritten additions to the POA making it unenforceable. (That's Dad!) Their website page explains Why We Are Different and I 100% agree. "Founder Tim Nay came to the law as an experienced psychologist and licensed clinical social worker." We had a very bad experience with Mr. Hwang. This was the only appointment we had with him. I think he is impersonal, angry, self absorbed and not patient.
What do people need when they are going through the worst of their lives? -Patience, kindness and awareness of other people’s feelings, as death can be devastating for the family and friends.
Knowledge without these traits is like getting a big enciclopedia.
Please read all the reviews that have been written about him. I did not before setting an appointment, and regretted it.

Jinoo Hwang was referred to me by another lawyer who recommended him for his skills in creating a trust that was more useful for me because it was applicable in all 50 states and not just one. Jinoo's knowledge of recent changes in trust laws were invaluable in creating a trust which is inclusive of my estate but also allows me the flexibility to designate specific things to individuals in the event of my passing. The final piece that I was impressed with was the succession of trustees and the inclusion of a third party to act as the trustee in case of need. All trustees are fiduciary and charged with administering the trust in my best interest. This final piece afforded me much peace of mind. I recommend Jinoo's services in this manner.

Mr. Dawson was hired as a personal injury attorney, but I had numerous problems.
1. He overstated and oversold his capabilities. The final outcome was much less that stated.
2. After two years on the case he did not have a single medical expert to testify in court for a permanently injured client, leaving no good options.
3. Lack of transparency was a serious issue. Mr. Dawson withheld critical documents from my review and approval, then expected me to sign agree to unsatisfactory terms.
4. Mr. Dawson threatened lien(s) if the case was not resolved, even though the demand letter was rushed out-the-door without my personal review.
5. In the end I felt very strongly the attorney was more concerned about collecting fees for himself than the well being of the client.

I was in a pretty bad car accident recently. While recovering, I received word that the other driver was not accepting reponsibility. I was referred to the Dawson Law Group by several sources...some friends, some family. I contacted Bryan Dawson specifically and explained my situation. Mr. Dawson wrote an effective letter to the insurance company and it wasn't long before they had accepted fault. My case was complicated because it involved a natural disaster. When a case gets complicated, often both sides just agree to mutual fault. In my case the other driver had been negligent and operated his vehicle in my lane. Mr. Dawson made it clear that disregarding standard driving safety laws are not excused by inconvenience...especially when you cause damage and bodily harm to others.
During my case, Mr. Dawson exhibited kindness, compassion and effectiveness. His secretary and associates were helpful when he was unavailable assisting other clients. He was punctual in returning my calls and he listened to me when decisions needed to be made. I highly recommend Bryan Dawson and his whole law group. They're professional, friendly and very effective. I am grateful for their help.

Blaine and his team are the most knowledgeable, determined, educated team I have ever worked with. So incredibly glad that I stumbled upon Colin Hackett on Avvo when I did. Long story short, I had gotten a worker's comp claim denied by Saif because of a poorly conducted IME, even though I had several doctors who knew what was going on with my wrist, and also agreed it was work related. Colin was able to get letters from the doctors I'd seen, and was able to make a good case for me. And in doing so, I got a good settlement out of it. I have been sent to him by the Oregon Bar a few times. When I contact him he agrees my case is horrific and awful and people should not be treated this way and my case is strong, etc. However, he refuses to accept the case saying he is too busy. When the truth is told my case will not bring him enough money (according to other lawyers). He only takes rich cases and leaves the rest of us to rot.

Paul Bovarnick started out as my lawyer and as the case went I made a friend. He was always honest with me and talk to me often about the plan. Paul always called and questions about the case, more importantly he want to know how I was doing. I contacted Rhett Fraser for consultation to better understand options for legal actions about a situation with a yoga teacher who is also was marriage and family therapist at a prominent Kundalini Yoga studio in Portland. She preyed on and groomed a family member in yoga class and then convinced him to become a therapy client and then sexually abused him. While Rhett explained that our family had no legal recourse against her, he provided sound advice and direction about how to report her to the licensing board for disciplinary action. Almost a year and a half later, the board voted to revoke her license and she later admitted to all the charges and surrendered her license. While this has been traumatic and devastating to our family, Rhett was compassionate and supportive about the situation and I really appreciate his service to the community. We need more people like Rhett that can help families and victims that are devastated by these terrible people who prey and sexually abuse vulnerable people. Rhett Fraser is personable, friendly, courteous and is very easy to communicate with. Rhett is absolutely professional in every aspect, and can be quite comfortable to visit with in a one on one setting. My particular case was unique and had been presented in court on previous occasions by other councilors without success. Rhett conferred with me in great length in regards to my situation, and assured me that he had extensive prior experience on this type of subject matter. This review is specifically about attorney Kristen West McCall at the firm. As with many people, I have a love-hate relationship with attorneys and a definitely diverse view of the attorneys I have dealt with over the years; far more negative comments than positive as a rule. So it gives me singular pleasure to provide a very positive and laudatory review for Kristen. She is very good at her job; tenacious, innovative and thorough. I would not like to be on the opposing side when she represents you. She is also very much your advocate. Now that may seem obvious, but many attorneys consider you nothing more than a source to bill. I can earnestly say that is NOT the case here. Before there is even a conversation about money, she listens to the facts of the case, provides guidance and will be upfront as to whether she thinks it should be pursued. She is flexible and reasonable; two words that do NOT automatically apply to many counselors. She is proactive, answers her phone (or calls you back in a timely fashion if she is otherwise engaged) and most importantly, adds a large measure of common sense to her legal expertise. If you have occasion for a personal injury attorney, make sure Kristen McCall is on your short list. Incidentally, you will note on this site that my engagement with her was for a consultation. She was not hired (though she certainly would have been) because she explained after a thorough examination, that the case, which would be on contingency, would not lead to a positive outcome. She mentioned I could hire her to pursue it on an hourly fee basis, but discouraged me from doing so. My case in total was 11 months of medical provider treatment followed by a ridiculously low offer from the insurance company given I have sustained permanent injury. I contacted Adam, and entered a 24 month legal process - driven exclusively by my insurance company because an uninsured driver hit me.
I believe it to be worth it given settlement offer to me was 5 X over original offer. By my calculations, my settlement paid me about $100 per hour of my time and paid Adam about $700 per hour of his. Adam's services are totally worth it as I was not further taken advantage of by my insurance provider or the uninsured driver.
That said, the process of negotiation with my insurance company has been absolute crap, lengthy, dealing with a patronizing insurance company (and it's local legal team, which took 12 months to appoint), and generating a sense of powerlessness for me as my time was clearly ranked less valuable than the legal system. Adam could not have done better.

I directly emailed him a copy of the laws regarding the statutes of limitations because " my timelines had not run out ". He didn't even have the integrity to respond . . .

I was given Adam's name after a really awful car crash, and having never been in the situation wasn't really sure what to do. Adam was patient in explaining each step of the process, consulting me to make sure I was comfortable with each decision and backing me up when the insurance company was being elusive (shocker). It was great to work with David. I got hit by a car in 2017 and had no idea what to do. To make matters worse I had found a lawyer for my case prior to Matt, but when push came to shove she dropped me- but Matt stepped up. I called Blake my law bodyguard while he was working on my case because that is truly what it felt like. I had never even considered suing someone before my burn accident and I barely had the confidence to pursue a settlement when I came to Blake with my questions. After seeing personal injury commercials on TV, I decided to call one in my area. The downtown luxury office of Vick & Gutzler was my choice. I went in for a consultation, and they took my case immediately. I was badly injured and could not make ends meet but they assured me things would be okay. After the first meeting with Betty Gage, the companies owner, they had their receptionist tell me they couldn't prove negligence, so a jr. lawyer will help you file against workers comp !
I got roughly $5k for a lifetime of pain.

As I watched Dr. Andrew Baker (Chief Medical Examiner, Hennepin County) give his formidable testimony in the George Floyd case, it took me back to his steadfast testimony as an expert witness in our family's quest for TRUTH and JUSTICE for our matriarch.
The testimony and qualification of Dr. Baker and two other expert witnesses were unmatched and shown in our case long before his spotlight before the nation and world. All were found and picked by this experienced, professional, and skilled lawyer. Mr. Gutzler also was unmatched in our case.
The only problem for lawyers of this caliber...jury pools and panels. Ineptness and biases among jury pools and panels are serious things in the quest for justice. There is no tool(s) to measure those things in a courtroom. However, in spite of ineptitude and biases, TRUTH must be told and JUSTICE sought.
Thank you, again, to this experienced, professional, and skilled lawyer.
This public lauding is long overdue, although it has been done privately many times over.

I was referred to David Giles by a very reputable source in regard to a civil suit involving multiple insurance companies. From the moment we first spoke about my case...I felt that he truly listened to what I had to say. I retained (McKean Smith) Annelisa's services the day I met her for initial consultation. She was referred to me by a common friend.
Annelisa worked with me from start to finish on my divorce, to end my 21 years of marriage, that should've been settled amicably from the get-go, as all I wanted was for there to be no disruption to my kids' (2 teens) lives at home from the parenting plan, and I was ready to give up my house, and 100% child support, and allow both kids to stay with their mother 24/7 for that, with me visiting kids at their home only to care for them when they wanted me to, no different than our usual routine.
