California is a difficult state to be a medical malpractice plaintiff. You're going to need the best and in my opinion, you could do no better than David Smith. Ours was a complex case, one which other attorneys had rejected due to all the difficulties of prosecuting medical malpractice in California. Once Mr. Smith agreed to take our case, he was like a bulldog! We encountered some serious obstacles and were up against a heartless insurance company law firm that tried to play some ruthless games and (in my opinion) shady legal maneuvers. But Mr. Smith was ahead of them at every step, even as they seemed intent on taking the case to trial. Ultimately, they came to realize that we had a tenacious pro on our side, and they settled.
What I can tell you is that I'm not a big fan of attorneys in general, but we really felt like we had a powerful and effective ally in Mr. Smith. It turns out he's a helluva nice guy too!

Earlier this year I entered into an agreement for an HVAC Contractor to do some major work on my home, but the contractor failed to complete the scope written in the contract. Our artist's cooperative was having difficulty working with our landlord. The landlord wouldn't work with us to improve several safety issues associated with the retail site. We hired Ms. Pheasant to give us legal advice on how we might proceed with severing our ties with the landlord. Her legal advice was concise and spot on. We followed her advice, drafted our letter, submitted it to our landlord and reached a resolution that was palatable to both parties. Mr. Meisner was thorough and insightful and did a great job advancing and settling the cases for my daughter and myself after a violent car accident.
He also provided preliminary paperwork and advice immediately that would prove helpful in assuring a smooth settlement.

I had a medical malpractice case with Martha Taylor. I was extremely pleased with her and her staff. Obviously if you are in need of an attorney in this area of law, something has gone terribly wrong. Our case involved a minor and Martha was very conservative in her spending on expert witnesses medical experts toxicologist etc. That approach gave more money to the client after all involved were paid. All lawsuits take time sometimes years and even though our case presented special challenges she persevered and continued to Persue the best possible outcome. I found her assistant to be quick with call backs and extremely helpful with the sometimes daunting and hard to understand paperwork. I hope this review has been helpful to anyone researching miss Taylor as a potential hire for your malpractice case.

Called in to get a consult on a business dispute, and having already contacted several attorneys, I was expecting the same pitch...to make an appointment and go there and get very little information for a lot of money. Instead, even though the attorney was in the middle of something, he set aside time to take my call and answered every question that I had without charging a penny. It really put me at ease. I got more info during that half hour than the prior week visiting a dozen other lawyers. He made some good suggestions which I tried and helped a lot, so I was able to get it taken care of without spending anything. I still hired him anyway for a different problem later, but it's because I knew this was someone I could trust to get the job done. End result was perfect in both.

I found Ernest from Yelp since I see many consistent good reviews about him. I took the courage to give it a shot and call him in addition to another 2 lawyers to help me with a eviction case recently. I had a very bad experience with another greedy lawyer in Sacramento regarding tenant issues. So I am very hesitant to seek help from another one. Ernest, however, is not the cheapest attorney of the three but he gave me the most thorough and informative advice even before he took on my case over the phone. Had a problem with a lawsuit. Most lawyers don't take cases halfway though, but they did. Looked around on the Internet and found this law office. The main lawyer Chen there seems pretty busy and has cases in court all the time (I guess so if everyone is trying to hire him) but still got back to me each time and seems pretty smart. I like that he told me about different strategies to see if any of them would help me before I signed up, while other places just kind of kept to themselves so I didn't know what they could do for me. Staff are pretty helpful and really really nice folks. Their prices were a lot less than other lawyers and did not charge any of the nickel and dime stuff like making copies or paperclips like the other place that I used. Really good experience considering I was having legal troubles, but I guess that's what lawyers are for. Will definitely say they are in my top referral.

Noemi Esparza and Roger Dryer represented my son and I after a terrible car accident. I had a very long recovery and Noemi was very reassuring during the process that they would take good care of us.
