I am a homeowner who was sued by a neighbor who filed a "spite" lawsuit against me. Joe successfully defended me against "over-the-top" allegations, by skillfully & methodically debunking the claims. He persistently unraveled the plaintiff's legal maneuvering to attempt to construct a case out of fabrications. To do that, Joe used thoughtful strategy in his presentation of the actual facts of the case, and continually maintained a low-key, articulate professionalism that was very effective. It was obvious in the courtroom that he was respected by the judges who heard various portions of the case. Joe has a high standard of principled ethics that enable him to provide excellent representation. This lawsuit dragged on for over 3 years, & yet my stress level was minimal because I was extremely confident of Joe's abilities to bring about a favorable resolution in my defense. He did not let me down. Dennis recently defended my adult son and found his attention to detail remarkable. Very open to ideas and thoughts and able to work as a "team" with us. His HUGE heart and feelings helped us deal with the monstrous mission of defending our son. Mr. Burns went out of his way to be available for any and all questions/concerns we had. Although my son did not get the full not guilty verdicts we were striving for, he did get a reduced sentence.

In the past 20-some years Bob has represented me 4 times. Twice he defended me against criminal charges, and twice was my advocate for injury claims.
He was at all times most personable a friendly and always explained the realities of my situation and made sure that I understood what was going on. In all cases he obtained favorable results. His fees for criminal defense were less than what other lawyers quoted me and yet he went full out on my behalf as if I was his only client. (He is a sole practitioner and is sometimes very very busy.) Once he was too busy to take a case from me and referred me to another lawyer who handled my case with high competence and who obtained a great result for my claim.
In addition to criminal defense and personal injury work, Bob has assisted my brother, (who is a musician), with some entertainment contracts and is well versed in entertainment law.
There are truly not enough stars to rate how helpful Bob is!

Beckwith Law assisted me in getting a no-contact order modified. It had been over year since the initial no-contact order was issued. Cristine's due diligence and explaining to me why being patient was best before the motion was filed. In my eyes it had been over a year since I was able to have communication with my life partner however, in the courts eyes it had only been four months. She understood that he did everything he needed to do and was able present a good argument to the judge to have the no-contact order lifted four months after his sentencing hearing. Mr. Balerud was very helpful to me in an extremely difficult situation. I had been arrested for DUI, and since I had only ever gotten one speeding almost 20 years ago, I didn't know what to do! He met with me for a free one hour consultation, and discussed everything (to the last detail) that happened that day. He really listened to me, even taking notes, then went over all my options from best case scenario to worst. He was quick to meet me for my first court appearance, so I really felt like I wasn't alone, I had someone on my side. It can be a scary experience if you haven't been there before! Tom walked me through what to expect at each court appearance, advised me what I needed to do legally to fulfill court requirements, and helped me locate the assessment centers, and where to take my required classes. He was a great support, even offering words of encouragement as I cried! He was able to get my DUI charge changed to negligent driving, and I was able to save my self-respect and my job.
