A few years ago, my sister and I found our selves in a most difficult circumstance that centered around a legal issue that my father, who was dying in the hospital, had failed to resolve. Suffice to say, we were emotionally wrought and desperate for help. I had reached out to a few other lawyers, most of whom never bothered to return my call and if they did, were more interested in their up-front fees, than offering helpful counsel.
Fortunately, we found Brian and he immediately understood the gravity of the situation and was able to map out a plan of action. His calm demeanor, and solid knowledge of the law, kept an already difficult situation from becoming worse. Talk about going the extra mile, he even came to the hospital to meet my father – not a place most lawyers go -- and make sure that the matter was resolved properly.
After our father passed, Brian was instrumental in taking care of some of difficult and confusing paperwork including title-transfers and other filings that we had no idea were legally required. He also counseled us on the importance of having a will, or a trust, the value of advance health-care-directives, and other important pre-need paperwork.
Brian Sheppard is first and foremost a man of integrity and principle, well-versed in the nuances of the law, and fundamentally a man with the courage to do what is right. Over the years, I have had occasion to call him with a simple a question and he has gentlemanly and generously resolved the matter without an outrageous bill.
Our only regret is that we weren’t able to avail ourselves of Brian’s services earlier.

Brian was the absolute worse attorney I have ever had. He is very lazy and doesn’t take the time to actually review each case. Oh and after all the money you spend, he will loose the case anyways. He is horrible! Do not use brain Sheppard.

I first worked with Frank in 2000 when he gave my family guidance on how to deal with a very complicated inheritance issue regarding some rental properties in SF. Not only did he save our family enormous estate taxes, but he showed tremendous patience in explaining the various trusts concepts to achieve our goals.
Fast forward +20 years later, we needed help in selling some properties to minimize taxes again. We were concerned that that Frank might have retired but thankfully, not only was he still active in practice but to our pleasant surprise, his daughter Erica had joined him. Again they helped us navigate a very complex situation which was made more difficult by the Covid restrictions. Needless to say, he connected us to the right people, saved us a ton of money, and simplified things for us by doing all the heavy lifting.
I’m generally am not one to write reviews but I wanted to share my experience with everyone about Yuen Law. There is absolutely no hesitation on my part in recommending Frank and Erica Yuen when it comes to estate planning and trust creation. That have a unique skill set that few attorneys can match. Frank Yuen has been my attorney for 15 years. He first drew up a living trust for me in 2003. He was able to provide a trust document that would would insure my assets will pass on to my spouse/sons without complications.
He is a trusted adviser. Over the years I have sought out his advice on a variety of legal matters pertaining to my family's business and financial interests. He has a vast knowledge of taxation laws which he applies to my particular situation. Recently he provided counsel on our family partnership. He advised us on what essentials should be included in the legal documents on the withdrawal of multiple partners and taxation implications of such a withdrawal.
Besides estate planning and taxation advice, Frank has shared his expertise on legal matters related to having income properties. He advised me about landlord and tenant relationship and allowable expenses

I retained Ms lefflers sevices on a recent probate case. She not only charged for attorney to attorney phone calls of 300.00 but actually charged 75.00 to give the mortgage agent the number to the administrator. She did not give options just dragged out a already tiredome situation. in addition to charging for anything she could think of. 75 dollars for a missed call. To charging for the mortgage agent that was to sell the house the number of the new administrator. She took over two months to decide to stop working and send resignation. She never filed petition I paid for and said she worked with. New administration but facilitated a adminstration that has takin a year and a half to close an already final probate. Her lack of concern cost my family and I thousands in extraordinary fees,. A definite disappointment.

In a nutshell, I do not recommend Giammichele Law. Steven Giammichele and his staff are nice and friendly, but their work is haphazard. The number of drafts we had to review due to their sloppiness was time-consuming, frustrating, disappointing, and concerning. I spent dozens upon dozens of hours reviewing, making corrections, emailing, and speaking in person, trying to get the drafts close to what we asked for and Steven recommended. Mind you, the first several set of drafts were 56 pages for each trust, not including all the other document drafts that coincide with each trust. After the second round of drafts, I advised Steven it was taking such a long time for me to read almost 200 pages of language that is foreign to me, and have to track and explain all the mistakes. He decided to find a new template with fewer pages. Regardless if they are 40 pages or 56 pages each, plus the other document drafts, it takes a lot of time to read and make note of the mistakes or questions, especially when you’re not a lawyer or an estate planner. That's why I hired Steven, to explain, advise and help us through the process.
Unfortunately, we felt stuck with Giammichele Law because we paid thousands of dollars for the three trusts upfront and in full, that was a red flag we regret. We received many drafts that had countless mistakes and Steven would blame the mistakes on us changing our minds or miscommunication during our meetings. I would show him our submitted paperwork and our notes, and I would compare them to the drafts, and he still wouldn’t take ownership of the mistakes. It’s now been over eight months and our trusts are not up to par. We asked Steven to please fix them after we were advised by his notary that we still could sign the paperwork, and he would fix the areas that are not correct and go over the language we didn’t understand. Steven offered 30 minutes of his time and if we needed more time, he required a retainer because we signed the drafts, hence he is no longer required to revise them.
I would not use Giammichele Law if you want your trust to be created in a timely, accurate, and professional manner, keeping your beneficiary’s best interest at heart.
I didn't want to leave a negative review, but the way Steven has ignored our attempt to rectify the situation, I feel he is not taking the severity of his ways. I hope he will do the right thing.

We just used Adrienne's services to FINALLY have our Trust completed. I was very nervous about the process not knowing what was in store for us and not being able to meet face to face. But Andrienne was a pleasure to work with (along with her assist. Heather). She made the process seamless and was so patient with me as I kept changing things on her at the last minute. After reading the final draft she was very helpful in explaining items that we did not understand. After several issues with a previous estate attorney, I was referred to Adrian Miller. She gathered all of the paperwork from the previous firm and contacted the others involved in the estate. She frequently provided guidance and updates. Overall, she made a difficult time in my life a bit easier. My only complaint is that it is difficult to reach her on the phone.

In July of 2008, I was stopped and arrested for suspician of DUI in Los Angeles County. I had never been in trouble or arrested before so this was the first time I needed an attorney for anything. I was honestly terrified about what to do, but I knew I'd definitely need an attorney. In restrospect, I should have interviewed several attorneys before selecting one, because it's the smart thing to do, but I was scared and wanted to take action quickly. I connected a well-known DUI law firm on the internet, signed a retainer after an initial consultation, and then the firm assigned Shannon Wiezorek to my case. Probably not the best way to go about it, but that being said, I think I was lucky to have had Shannon Wiezorek working on my case. She was able to negotiate a really good plea deal for me in the legal phase of my case. Instead of DUI, I was able to plea to Exhibition of Speed and probation. I found out from others, who also went through the DUI process, that I was lucky to get that deal. Unfortunatey, I was not as lucky at my DMV hearing. We chose a strategy that was rejected by the hearing officer, but I understand that a vast majority of people do not succeed at the DMV. Overall, I think Shannon is knowlegable about DUI/DWI law and tried to do the best for me. She was also responsive to my inqueries during my case as well as afterward when I had follow-up questions. I am not sure if Shannon is still with the firm that I contacted, because the last time I checked their website, she was not listed as a member of their team of attorneys. She was in good standing with the California Bar Association at the time of my case, and per their website, I believe she still is. Based on my experience with her, I would recommed her services for a DUI/DWI case.

When closing probate there was a couple delays but Stephanie was able to straighten things out with the lawyer for the other family member and we were finally able to close probate. I found Kyle through multiple moms’ recommendations in local Facebook mom group and I’m so glad I chose him as counsel for my custody/visitation case. I just wished I had found him before I started all this and would’ve saved a lot of time/money/suffering. But alas here we are.
Kyle is very straight forward and wastes no time. So don’t be put off by his seemingly rushed demeanor when you first get in contact with him. He truly cares about people (not just his clients) and he sees through people’s b.s.

If you’re facing a divorce with someone you believe may go to any lengths to unjustly destroy you in court, take everything from you, and/or do you feel the cards are stacked against you for any reason? Then Danielle Salice is who you want going to war for you, because she will give everything, she has into protecting you and getting you justice.
When I first met Ms. Salice, I was terrified, I felt so alone, afraid of what the future was going to hold. I was in a bad marriage, had recently been diagnosed with a health condition, and was in the beginning phases of my divorce. Without sharing too much detail, I shared a bit of my story with an online platform of a group of moms seeking advice. Ms. Salice was one of the fellow moms who reached out to me to offer support, but in no way did she appear to be seeking a client, but rather, she was simply being kind and compassionate. The mere fact that she was a Family Law Attorney didn’t even come into play until much later. When it became clear that I needed a lawyer, I didn’t even know she could represent me in my county, but on one of the scariest days of my life, I reached out to Ms. Salice in a panic unsure of what to do. I cried telling her how much I wish she was able to represent me in my county, and that was the moment I she notified me that she could. From that point on, Ms. Salice immediately went to battle for me, and continues to fight to protect me, and my child. At the beginning of the process, I was so scared that I would lose everything, including my child all because my ex has money, and I was left with nothing, and no way to work with my health. Not only has Ms. Salice fought every battle for me as if she were fighting it for herself and her own family, but she also held my hand through the whole process. She calmed me down and let me cry night after night as I would be falling to pieces over the pain caused by my divorce. I thought I stood no chance until Ms. Salice came into the picture. Since she has joined my case, not only has she secured custody for me, but she has blocked my ex and his lawyer’s every attempt to take advantage of me, push me around, or bully me into submission. I have cried several times in gratitude thanking Ms. Salice for all the work that she has done and continues to do. We are writing to provide an objective review of our experience with Tiffany Andrews and her mediation services. Although Tiffany was pleasant to work with, our overall assessment is that the services provided were average. We were disappointed that we never had the opportunity to meet her in person, despite multiple trips to her office. During our case, we couldn't help but notice that the handling of our mediation proceedings resembled that of a general contractor overseeing a construction project. We encountered unexpected changes in Tiffany's team, with members coming and going without prior notice. This lack of consistency had a noticeable impact on the process and left us feeling unsettled. Another area of concern was the significant disparity between our original cost estimate and the final bill. The cost nearly doubled, which was unexpected and disappointing. Our mediation and divorce proceedings were minimal in complexity, as stated by Tiffany herself. Considering the simplicity of the case, we had hoped for more streamlined and cost-effective services. Throughout the process, there were instances where communication and continuity seemed lacking. We often had to repeat information from one meeting to the next, resulting in frustration and delays. It would have been more efficient and productive if there had been better coordination and a stronger sense of continuity between sessions. In summary, while Tiffany Andrews and her team were pleasant to work with, there are clear areas for improvement. Enhancing client expectation management, addressing cost transparency, and ensuring consistent communication and continuity throughout the mediation process would greatly benefit Tiffany and her team. Lori was with me for months throughout multiple hearings .showed up with me to court and on zoom .she listened to me and helped me through my case legally and sometimes mentally. A late night text question or even when i needed to vent and feel comfortable and a bit more secure in my time of need she was there. Kate did my full estate planning package last year. Yesterday, I was at my yearly physical and the doctor asked if I had an advanced healthcare directive submitted through their portal. I did and, so she opened it and started to read it. She said " Oh- this is a good one. I see lots of these that don't cover the bases adequately. This one is really good!"
