Before I was referred to Magen, I had consulted more than four lawyers to review my husband immigration case. All of them brushed me off, or quote me an outrageous amount of money because they consider the case to be extremely difficult if not impossible. Being referred to Magen Kellam was a blessing! from the first consultation appointment, I felt respected and heard. Magen is incredibly trustworthy, professional, and kind. I didn't feel like I hired her, but instead, she accepted "my case", which was indeed difficult but not impossible like other lawyers had stated before. Ian Schatzman accepted our case regarding an insurance claim with our insurer when other firms wouldn’t take it. After our claims were denied, we needed to reroof to prevent further damage. Ian worked out an expedited plan to document the damage in a manner that would support his case, while adhering to our reroofing timing.
He communicated clearly, responded promptly and thoroughly, and shepherded us through the lawsuit process. His fees were very fair for a job very well done. Without his efforts, we would have received almost nothing for the damages we incurred. He was able to negotiate an acceptable outcome.
I recommend Ian and his firm most highly and would certainly seek his input for any future legal matters.

On July 22, 2008, I hired Daphne Clements for a civil case. We had a contract and I paid her a retainer of $3000,00. On July 23, 2008 she deposited the check. This was the last time I heard from her. She took my $3000.00 retainer and never performed and services for me. So not only was I out the$3000.00 retainer, but I had to hire a new attorney. To this day this money has never been returned. I hope she does not do this to anyone else. I did not forget the rating, she receives zero stars from me, but i had to at least mark one star. When I checked into this matter with the State, they said she had been suspended and I would have to file a law suit to recover my retainer that was paid and no services given.

Our family hired Mr. Prentice to protect my mother’s assets from the 10k per month bill she was receiving from her nursing facility. Mr. Prentice swiftly stopped this bill from continuing and saved her hard earned savings. Our family paid Mr. Prentice quite a bit, but it was 100% worth it! Mr. Prentice and his staff were very professional and pleasant to work with. I would recommend Mr. Prentice to any family that is going through the expense of having a loved one in a nursing home.

Recently I had the great pleasure of meeting and working with Mr. Howard Rosenblatt an estate planning lawyer He is an excellent lawyer very knowledgeable, patient, kind, and has a great sense of humor. The areas of need that I sought help for were personal and financial. Prior to each meeting he provided a draft of materials, well in advance, that I could review before our meeting. This allowed me with time necessary to study and ponder the documents so I could prepare questions. He took the time to go over every question that I had, and never rushed me.
His secretary is very kind and courteous. She made many accommodations on my behalf. His entire staff and associates are excellent. I highly recommend Mr. Rosenblatt to anyone seeking legal advice and services.

Mr Whiteman helped me deal with a large bank who wanted to foreclose on my house, even after the mortgage was almost paid off. He never suggested giving up, like several of the other lawyers I had tried to work with. He always answered my emails and calls; was always compassionate and had empathy for my difficult and unique situation. It took years to be resolved and he never got tired of dealing with ridiculous responses. I highly recommend John Whiteman.

Brantley represented my interest in a divorce settlement. He is a true professional...he's calm, knowledgeable, and logical in his approach to family law. Amazing! His rates are fair and his work is succinct and efficient so his billing time reflects these efficiencies as well. You get money's worth and then some. I wasted thousands of dollars on a high profile attorney he did nothing but dance back and forth with another attorney with meaningless emails. He gets it done.

I live outside the area and I had a house in Dixie County with code violations and an unresponsive tenant she was able to. In short order, clear up the problem with the county, evicted tenant and make sure the house was cleared out and free of code violations, set me up with a local Real estate agent.and was very thorough and diligent through the entire process.

When I came to Jennifer I was an emotional wreck. My husband had just died with no will and massive farming debt. We had been together for 27 years and I was lost. I had 4 grown stepsons that had never been completely on their own and felt they we're entitled to everything except the debt. Charlotte is very easy to deal with. I thought forming a Trust would be a difficult, costly, and time consuming adventure. However, Charlotte listens and did my estate planning as we discussed forming a Trust and all of the other associated paperwork painlessly and put me at ease from the moment I met her. . Charlotte gave me a date everything would be ready and it was done professionally and on time. Charlotte took the time to explain exactly how the Trust works and explain all of the details contained within. My association didn't end when I paid and left. Flawless, professional and compassionate is my best description of attorney Eve Ditz Bouchard. She helped us with our Will and Testament. The last responsibility to those who survive you can be a bit tricky, particularly with greater assets, but Mrs Bouchard navigated through the details eloquently. I have worked as an IT director for two major Law Firms for 30 years and I know the business well. Susan Rooth was initially hired by my parents to prepare the standard paperwork for estate planning. This was done with a high degree of competence at very fair rates. Approximately five years ago, it become clear that my parents, in their mid 80s, could no longer care for themselves. In a meeting with me and my wife to review some of the paperwork, Susan took a very active role and helping me find home care resources that fortunately we could afford, and stay involved up through today to see that they were well cared for. They have both since passed away, and Susan and her staff did an excellent job in assisting me with handling both estates, and she is still assisting today. It was a lot of work that would have been very difficult for me to do on my own. Her rates continue to be very fair and her staff is highly competent and responsive. Also, she is well known by many of the local banks and that made things go much smoother when needed.
Although as stated, her Firm provides an excellent work product at reasonable rates, what I am most impressed with about Susan and what motivates me to write this review is the level of personal interest and compassion that she displays for her clients and the level of assistance and concern she has that goes far beyond the basic provision of legal services. It is truly exceptional, and I say this as someone who has been in the industry. Overall, for anyone with aging parents who needs these services, or in need of estate planning for the themselves, I offer this unqualified recommendation - you will not find anyone better, or more caring and helpful on a personal level.

Recently I had to put my father in a nursing home. I lived out of state and was unprepared for how quickly he went downhill. With no funds to pay for a nursing home, he needed Medicaid. I called several attorneys and I felt like just another number until I called Susan. Susan and her assistant Shelly made me feel like one of the family. They were very sympathetic to my emotional and financial situation. They explained everything clearly and walked me through the process. Whenever I had a question, they were always there for me. I was amazed how quickly they were able to get Medicaid approval. I would highly recommend them.

Ms. Terrana is professional, knowedgeable, courteous and kind. She overcame two obstacles for me. One - my brother, the elder person I am caring for, and I live in two different states. I have many friends in the local Sarasota and Bradenton Florida legal communities. When it came time for my wife and I to update our complex estate planning, I first asked my friends for recommendations. The one resounding recommendation was Attorney Todd Kaplan. I was told that he would not only serve my needs, but that he is the area's premier estate planning, probate, trust administration, business and tax attorney. I couldn't agree more, and my wife and I found Todd to be personable, respectful, professional, knowledgeable and that he obviously possesses a solid report in the legal community. Like Todd, his staff is easy to deal with and exemplify excellence. When it came to our disabled child, Todd was not only compassionate, but we were surprised to find that Todd is highly involved in a local charity for people with disabilities. Seeing such a busy attorney giving so much back to the community was very impressive. Likewise, his tax planning for our child's disability and my several businesses is the epitome of a skilled practitioner. After completion of my estate planning, I chose Todd to represent my businesses as well, and he has shown the exact same diligence and high standard that I have become accustomed to. When my mother passed away several months after we discovered Todd, he also represented me as personal representative in the probate of my mother's estate. He has that "x-factor" magnetic personality that makes everyone seem to gravitate toward him. Todd was reccomended by a neighbor and friend to update my will and trust since it had not been updated since my husband passed away 8 years ago. I had put off making revisions to my will and trust since my husband passed away because my last experience with another local attorney who had drafted our first will and trust (and then handled my husband's estate) was not a positive one. Based on that last experience, I was intimidated to see an attorney by myself but knew that i needed to get this accomplished. When i got to the offices of Icard Merrill in Lakewood Ranch, I was greeted warmly by the receptionist and then by Todd's legal assistant. Mr. Kaplan was on time for the appointment and from the first minute, I was comforted by his demeanor. He took the time to explain the relevant laws, review my documents and make good suggestions that will save my children alot of time and money upon my passing. He provided me with a flat fee quote (and actually charged me a little less than quoted) and my work was completed relatively timely. Overall, I was extremely happy with the and comforted by the experience. If you are like me and heistant to see an attorney, I would not hesitate to suggest and reccomend Todd.

I came to see Todd for issues and advice regarding my company. We have grown substantially over the past few years but did not have all of the necessary documentation to protect myself and my business. I have partners and Todd took the time to explain a number of issues and problems with the current structure. He also had several suggestions to reduce our current tax liability. Todd ultimately drafted a well needed operating/buy-sell agreement that was specific to our business needs. This new operating agreement was far better than the cookie cutter Operating agreement (full of errors) that I got when I set up my company with another local attorney.I also just made an appointment to update mine and my husband's wills and trusts since they have not been looked at in over 10 years. My siblings, myself and - above all, my mom - are very fortunate to have found Bill McQueen. Though attorneys are, in my mind, one of those professionals one wants direct word-of-mouth referral to, Bill was referred to me through quite a circuitous route; and I could not have been sent to anyone better. My family needed to re-do virtually all of my mother's legal documents, do substantial work on her finances, and apply for VA A&A, as my mother's health declined, and we had to move her into assisted living.
