Meg is a knowledgeable, compassionate lawyer. She created an irrevocable trust to protect my mother’s assets in case Mom needs Medicaid. The process has been unexpectedly complicated. I am impressed with Meg’s knowledge of elderlaw, income tax, real estate taxes, etc.
Meg patiently explained the options to me, and she tactfully explained the trust to my mother, who is having memory problems. Meg kept my mother’s preferences in mind when she created the trust.

I've been a client with the Katz Law Firm for almost 6 years, on 3 unrelated matters, and all of the fees have been reasonable, with my consent and all services were timely, high quality and with no extra or hidden fees. I referred friends and family who also are happy with this firm. If anyone posts anything negative about the quality service, client care or fees, they are making it up and are probably competition or someone who was trying to do something shadey and the firm didn't want to help them since they don't take on cases if a person is up to no good. I heard them once turn down a large case because of this and was impressed. Thank you Katz Law Firm, and I hope more people leave you the good reviews you deserve!

The first time I spoke to Paul was in December 2016 about my divorce, after consulting with him. I hired Paul wolf to start my divorce process. it was a bit complicated because I live in the Netherlands but got married in New York. Paper work took a bit longer then expected but I got my divorce in 9 months which is still a good time frame. He always answers emails. it was easy to make an appointment to talk on the phone. I would defently recommend Paul Wolf.

I'll admit that I felt a little reluctant to let Randy handle my case. He's very young and I was concerned that a lack of experience would hurt me. I needed a lawyer that could make sure the ethics issues related to my bar admission wouldn't stand in my way. And I thought Randy might not be the person to handle it.
All of my concerns were unfounded. Randy was the perfect lawyer for me. I have no complaints whatsoever and have nothing but good things to say. I gave a 5 star review, so obviously, he handled the legal aspects appropriately. But more than that, Randy recognized that being a lawyer requires something that doctors would call "bedside manner." Each case may just be a case to a lawyer, but to the client, it's their life. And he made it seem like my case was as important to him as it was to me.
I can look back now and admit that there were times I behaved unreasonably or irrationally. This case was a big deal to me, and it elicited big emotions. Randy did an incredible job of making me feel like my response wasn't absurd, while also directing me toward behavior that was more helpful to my situation.
I'm a lawyer now, in part, due to Randy Tesser's efforts. And I can tell you that it's rare that a lawyer is so capable of commiserating with his client, while also pushing them appropriately, while also excelling at the law. I highly recommend him.

I am one of thousands of out-of-state attorneys licensed in New York State who had their license unknowingly suspended en masse by a court order years ago after leaving the state and no longer filing bi-annual registrations. In my case, the NY license was not required in my new state of practice, where I also had obtained a license by passing that state’s bar exam., so my suspension persisted unbeknownst to me. Upon learning of the suspension, which was extremely unsettling to me, the best thing I did was engage Randall Tesser. He has extensive experience in the reinstatement process. Randall clearly outlined an approach and was highly skilled in successfully reinstating my license according to the accelerated timeline he laid out for me. Along the way, I found his counsel, advice and work product to be highly skilled, empathetic, judicious and very responsive. I highly recommend Randall Tesser to anyone finding themselves in a similar situation.

Mr. Lepore is the definition of an excellent lawyer. My father passed away in 2019. My cousin, a local lawyer, who drafted my father's will, claimed he didn't remember he made it.
Faced with obstruction, I did my research and found that Mr. Lepore is highly rated. I was not disappointed. The process was needlessly long because of my cousin's lack of cooperation, and delayed because of the Covid-19 crisis, however, I was armed to the teeth in proof and with Mr. Lepore's dedication, knowledge and skill we were able to honor my father's final wishes and have the Probate Court rule in my favor as my father's only child, executor and beneficiary.
I recommend Louis Lepore wholeheartedly. A quiet man, he has a keen analytical mind and a determined sense of dedication. I will be making an appointment soon to make my own will and estate planning.

I would like to take some time to speak about Edward A DiTomasso. When I first started going through my legal experience it was the first time I had ever dealt with a law suit. To say the least I was apprehensive about how this experience would go. I had significant doubt it would amount to anything and to be honest didn't trust lawyers due to a lot of the negative publicity they get. I thought can admit when I am wrong and in this case I truly was. Ed is a highly skilled professional, without standing communication with his client. My case dragged on for a number of years but it was never at fault of Edward. I never doubted his tireless efforts in putting my case first. I usually refer to Ed to people as a "pitbull," and I use this as a complement. When Ed grabs ahold of something he doesn't let go. We had been procrastinating finding someone to handle our wills. Where to start and who to ask? We found an ad for Starsia Law and were intrigued. They were a small and local firm so we scheduled a meeting. From the first contact, we were impressed. They sent us a video explaining the difference between a will and a trust in plain language. I had spoken to attorney Violetti with reference to a landlord/tenant dispute and subsequently retained his services. He seemed to be extremely knowledgeable in this field of law and took the time to discuss the various options at my disposal to expedite the process of an eviction proceeding in a timely manner. I was extremely impressed not only with his professionalism but also his empathy in affording me much needed assurance. Please note that this eviction was between an adult member of my immediate family, and as such was a delicate situation at best. Attorney Violetti appeared in Court with me and answered many pertinent questions before the Judge and helped alleviate much of the stress that I would have otherwise endured. Furthermore, inasmuch as I am a senior citizen and survive on a fixed income, Attorney Violetti had agreed before hand to grant me ample time to pay any and all legal fees arising from this legal proceeding. In concluding of this review, it is my utmost belief that Attorney Violetti should be granted a rating of ten based on the information as hereinabove mentioned.

Jayson Wolfe and his legal assistant Donna are the absolute best legal team and the one that you need to navigate the complex world of elder care law. Before meeting Jayson and Donna, I attempted contact with two other attorneys to discuss my case, which involved getting my 97-year-old aunt approved for Medicaid and in-home care.
The first attorney I tried contacting came well recommended but proved to be impossible to reach, as she never returned phone calls or responded to email messages. The other attorney I chose did have an initial consultation with me by video call, but when it came time to hire him, he suddenly stated that he was too busy to take on my case.
I called Jayson’s office feeling overwhelmed, and Donna answered the phone. She was able to schedule an appointment to meet with Jayson within a day. We sat together for an initial meeting that lasted over 90 minutes, during which he answered all of my questions (as I had a lot of them). Within the first 5-10 minutes, I knew that Jayson Wolfe would be the attorney I would hire. Here is what he and his team did for me:
• Advised me on the financial transactions that I needed to execute immediately in advance to prepare my aunt to qualify for Medicaid
• Walked me through the process of obtaining an irrevocable burial trust for my aunt
• Completed and submitted the paperwork needed to obtain certification of my aunt’s disability
• Set up an account with a pooled trust to allow my aunt to qualify for Medicaid
• Obtained approval for Medicaid in-home care for my aunt
• Advised me on the in-home evaluation process
• Fought to get me a new placement with a different MLTC (despite me ignoring his initial recommendation) which led to me getting my aunt qualified for a full-time live-in aide
All of the above was done for a fixed retainer, saving thousands of dollars.

I recently had a consultation with attorney, John Lang, who I highly recommend. In my opinion, John is an exceptional communicator. Mr. Klein was recommended to me by a very good friend of mine. Unfortunately, it was after I had retained a lawyer for the purchase of my home. The previous lawyer (J. Bradford Kenealy) had not taken the time to thoroughly and competently review my contract. After I took the time to review the contract, I decided that I needed someone else to represent me. That is when, after sitting with Mr. Klein for over an hour, I retained Mr. Klein. I felt completely confident that if I were to be absent at closing that he could sign for me and I would be able to sleep at night knowing that all bases were covered.
My title for this review was based on his ability to rectify all that was wrong with my contract after it being fully executed by both parties. Mr. Klein spent days emailing and calling the sellers' attorney's office. all on the premise of having a forum at which to renegotiate the contract since there was an unfavorable appraisal. Where some may have given up and sent back the amended contract, he was very persistent in seeing it through despite the sellers' attorney's lack of communication skills. It was then that Mr. Klein was able to eradicate all my fears about moving forward. Which would have been extremely frustrating to be left in limbo just before you are about to leave the country for 2 weeks.
Even though I could go on with details of the transaction and paint a more favorable light for Mr. Klein, the best detail to leave behind is that I will never look for another counsel in matters which are legal.
