I don't usually fill these reviews out but I will make an exception for Jennifer. I was referred to Jennifer by one of my friends that has completed a closing with her. I am grateful for the referral because she was great. She made the closing process simple, understandable and was helpful by answering all of my (many) questions. But overall, she was very knowledgeable and kind and that is what was really important to me. I highly recommend her for a real estate closing!

John has closed two homes for my family in Hoboken (2012) and Jersey City (2021). Both experiences exceeded my expectations, as we've heard closings can have all sorts of things pop up at the last second. This wasn't the case with John - he had us gather all paperwork, statements, etc... in a timely, organized matter so there was no last minute scrambling for anything. Our Jersey City home close was were John really showed his talents, as the seller was incredibly difficult to deal with and was refusing to budge on several issues. Fortunately John was able to negotiate several items that popped up during the inspection. If we were ever to buy another home, John would be the only attorney I would call.

He helped me close on a very, very long (8 months), complicated foreclosure house with an oil tank and he was there, every step of the way to make sure things didn't fall through and that I wouldn't get put in a bad situation. He also did not charge me as much as I'm sure he could have, being as long as the process was. I highly recommend him for any house closing situations!

After moving out of my rental property I had a problem getting my security deposit from my landlord. Mr. Makarov represented me on 4 related traffic violations that had serious implications including potential incarceration and steep fines in NJ. Mr. Makarov calmed me down and helped me understand my rights and the potential outcomes. He helped me post bail and handled all interactions with the prosecutor and judge in multiple court proceedings. He was able to build a solid defense and reasonable doubt in order to have the charges negotiated down with the prosecutor. I am really grateful. He took a hands on attentive interest in my case which made all the difference as the circumstances of the case were key in this case. I received a 5-point speeding ticket and was in jeopardy of losing my license. Not only did Michael help me avoid a license suspension, but he also managed to reduce the violation to 2 points.

I had a lawyer prior to using Justin Shearer, that all he did was take my money and got me no where. A friend recommended Justin Shearer, and not only was he knowledgable in his field, but took action and I saw results immediately. When most people hear that they need an attorney, I believe they tend to feel sick! Not only for their needfor one, but, because they fear having to deal with someone that is in a profession that has one the the most disliked reputations of all. I have had the fortune or mis-fortune to have delt with a multitude of attorney's for both proffesional and personal needs. There is noone that I have met other than David who truely cares for his clients and profession as he does. I believe him to be very honest and trust worthy. Most of the time he expains things in a not technical way and if he doesn't just ask him to "spell it out" and he does. I'm not the most patient or easy person to work with, yet he continually answered my calls and or e-mails again, with professionalism and understanding. We talked things through, and always came up with what I feel, in the end was the correct decission. He will tell you the pros and cons and help you when you ask for it. He also will tell you like it is when you may not want to hear it, but he does it the right way! You never feel like he's talking down to you, like many other attorneys have a habit of doing. I hope I never need to utilize the services of a personal injury attorney again but if I do, I won't call anyone else!

Josh represented our family in a real estate purchase. Unfortunately the deal turned sour when the sellers refused to honor the agreement. I was concerned that josh wouldn't be able or willing to help us because much of the transaction was handled by his paralegal. But when things went bad he stepped in and really made us feel like we were his only client. He was strong he was compassionate and he had our backs. David Mazie, in my opinion, is the best Attorney in the Country. Although he is well versed in legal knowledge, he dealt with our family with the utmost compassion and respect. We hired the Ko Firm for the purchase of our home and couldn't be happier with the experience. Harry Ko and Tom Szieber guided us every step of the way through the tricky closing process, and made sure that they were always there for us when we ran into an issue or had a question.
Harry's wealth of experience in residential and commercial real estate was reassuring as it was impressive. He was able to anticipate and warn us of all of the gotchas and pitfalls well before we came across them. He tackled some of the trickier negotiation points with ease and prepared us early with advice that proved to be a big help further along in the process. This was huge for us, as this was our first time buying a house and had no prior experience whatsoever.
Equally impressive was the teamwork and coordination between Harry and Tom, as well as Legal Assistants Sarah and Barbara. Whenever we emailed or called anyone at the Ko Firm, they always seemed to all be on the exact same page.
