I dealt with Paul Buchanan as he was a mediator between myself and a former employer. Would never deal with him or this company ever again and I highly recommend nobody else seek any kind of assistance from them. Bias doesn’t even begin to cover the problems I faced with him. He did me a huge disservice and had I known better I would have walked out. I’am sorely disappointed about how I was treated and don’t want anybody else to have to go through what I did.

I rarely need legal advice or representation. I am very inexperienced. The one time that I needed extensive legal representation I used Paul Bucannan as my lawyer.
From the onset, Paul was honest with me and guided me through the legal process. I always felt like Paul had my best interest at heart and I believe he practices law for the right reasons.
I found Paul and his staff to be very dedicated and professional; and Paul a skilled lawyer.

Do you want an attorney that gets your boys in an a child abuse situation to the point the state issues a immediate danger order then this is the one for you! Had to file a case against him with the bar association and now small claim court. Perfect attorney for you and the reason they sit under lazy boy because he is an A××××××××× . Thank God my children are safe and with me now and I have full custody and the new attorneys we hired after we claimed he didn't have my # and called my co signer and told them to tell me he is quitting.

I came here from a recommendation I’d never take again. I engaged with Erin MacDonald for a probate filing for my father passing away. She couldn’t take the time to explain the process or answer my questions at any time during the almost two year process. The only time she actually talked with me was to sign the engagement. I wasn’t worth spending the time of day on for anything, so she constantly kicked me down to the paralegal on the case. After multiple issues, he once the filings were complete and distribution checks ready to cut, they sent them all out on incorrect check stock and I had to notify them for correction. Which they never explained the process or the fees, the kept extra at the end to cover everything and then still send me bills. This is the worst professional service I’ve engaged. I won’t be back for any legal advice or services from this firm.

I wish I had read George's reviews BEFORE we hired him. Although a really nice guy, George consistently does not follow through. After agreeing to file a suit on our behalf and accepting a retainer, it took him over 5 months to file it!! That was after more than 10 revisions. He could not get the information correct in the filing. His follow through has always been less than timely. George is not a detail oriented attorney nor is he timely or complete in his communications.

George got us through the most difficult time in our lives, so I would recommend him to anyone in need. There was some stress in not always getting replies to emails or phone calls on a complete or timely manner. I felt a frustrating lack of control throughout the ordeal, in that the case was decidedly in his hands and not mine, but that's hardly a negative in a qualified and dedicated attorney such as Mr. Mead. This case was outside of his ordinary field of practice, but he ably took on the task because he believed in us and became an expert on the technical aspects. I had the unwavering sense of comfort that he was advocating for our welfare and that we were on his mind each and every day.

I first contacted George by phone from California about a suit my sister and I wanted to bring against our brother in the Portland area. The case had to do with our parents estate and my brother's (ex bro!) theft of the entire estate after my mothers' death. After interviewing him via phone, I hired him and he started to work. I had to trust in him as it was some months before we actually met face to face. This was hard for me because I don't like to feel 'not in control' of a situation but he took up our cause and proved to be a sterling guy.
George showed an intelligent and quick grasp of the situation and what steps needed to be accomplished and in what order to force an out of court settlement. He did his due diligence all the way such as flying to Florida to take an important deposition. His help with strategy in the conference room about the back and forth offers and counter offers enabled us to keep focused and even were able to share some humor in trying moments. In short, George guided us until we prevailed in an emotionally charged and difficult process. THANK YOU MR. MEAD!
The outcome was worth the battle it took to achieve justice. And George is actually interested in justice. An honorable man and I recommend him thoroughly.

Joe is an excellent lawyer. I hired him on an employment issue, and he is just superb to work with. He is responsive, very personable, very nice, and knew just where to push and how to get things done. His assistant is a tremendous asset as well - she is whip smart and can handle many issues and does so very efficiently and very well. They are both extremely responsive - and I know you all know how rare this is in law firms. He's just the best.

This review is solely for an attempt to schedule a consultation. She answered the phone and asked a question. I attempted to answer but she would interrupt. I'd stop and listen then try to answer again with details. She constantly cut me off and was very condescending, mentioning that the call was free and scolding me for trying to give details. Keep in mind this was a 5 minute and 14 seconds phone call. I was trying to give the details of why I was seeking an attorney. I feel that's the most important information for the attorney to have to be able to determine if my situation is something they can help with. Don't answer the phone if you're too busy to take on a new client and listen to the details of why they're calling. Basic common sense!
I eventually disconnected/hung up and I would never use or recommend this person. Social skills are essential for everyday life and maybe more so for an attorney.

In my observation, Mark Cottle’s approach as an attorney in high-conflict situations was concerning. I would expect a legal professional to encourage resolution and de-escalate tension. Instead, his tactics appeared to escalate conflict unnecessarily, making an already challenging situation even moredifficult to navigate.
While I was not Mr. Cottle’s direct client, my observations are based on his role in a case I was directly involved in. The impact of an attorney’s approach extends beyond their client, particularly in high-conflict family matters where their decisions can significantly influence the process and outcomes for everyone involved.
For those navigating complex legal challenges, I would encourage seeking someone who prioritizes constructive outcomes and fair advocacy. Unfortunately, I did not see these qualities reflected in his work.
Additionally, it’s worth noting that Mr. Cottle has faced disciplinary actions in Oregon, including:
2013 Suspension: Temporarily losing his license to practice law.
2015 Suspension Stayed with Probation: His license was at risk, but the suspension was held while his conduct was monitored.

We hired Mark Cottle to help us with our child custody case. He reassured us and sounded like he was going to fight for us and get things taken care. We retained him and could not reach him for weeks. Then after weeks of not being able to contact him- his assistant contacted us saying Mark was sick with Covid. We understood but he didn’t push our court hearings back because of that so instead just didn’t show up to our court hearings as our representative for our case. Because of that we lost by failure to show and lost 30,000$. He used my exact email to email the other sides attorney, didn’t change one word so I might as well have been representing myself. He did absolutely nothing for us at all and was so hard to get in contact with. We had to settlement because he wasn’t fighting for us in anyway or giving any legal advice or helping our situation at all. I do not recommend him at all. Theirs way better family law attorneys who actually care and will fight for you like they’re being payed to do.

If I could give 0 stars then I would! $20,000 later and they withdraw from representing me because I questioned their actions and choices. Ex spouse was ordered to give me my stuff by or before 3/11/22 and it’s now 5/4/22 and I still don’t have my belongings. The whole process felt like, delay, delay, charge, charge, charge! The very first motion they filed was tossed due to a typo. They will pick and choose when to respond to your calls, texts or emails but the billing department never misses a beat. Zach Santos will make you believe he’s got your back and tell you that you can reach out to him whenever to vent or ask questions however he’ll then say that you’re unprofessional if you question anything. Eryn Sisson his legal aid is even worse! She will yell at you and degrade you on the phone and then not listen to a word you’re trying to say. If you’re in the fight of your life then I highly recommend you look elsewhere! Worst experience ever!
