I can't say enough about Grant Cook, representing me in two different cases. In two separate courts. One case against a landlord. The other a family court matter. I found him to be thorough and an excellent communicator. Kept me in the loop with information as he received it. He spoke in a way that gave me a clearer understanding of the laws as they pertained to my cases. I know it can be frustrating for some who hire other representation and feel out of the loop or spoken down to. Not so with Grant. I called Mr. Wallpe to start a bankruptcy filing, and he listened to my specifics thoroughly. He took the time to explain the debts to me and what my creditors could and couldn't do and what actually could be included in my filing. After his patient explanations it was determined not to file at this time and that I would contact him if there changes. Frank is the closest thing I can think of to my “ideal” attorney. I am involved in a case against a family member over the estate of my grandmother. Frank has taken an emotionally-charged, seemingly-complicated dysfunctional family dynamic and broken it down into easy-to-understand, core elements. I think his assessment of the situation will help opposing council (or a judge, if it comes to that) see the "holes" in their case and lead to a resolution in my favor.
He is clear-headed and always open to negotiation, but also willing to go to bat for me when needed. His legal knowledge is amazing. When opposing council makes unreasonable statements that make me want to get up and hurl obscenities, Frank quickly and calmly objects with some point of law that completely takes the wind out of their statement. And I have to admit, this is more satisfying than hurling obscenities.
When I first looked for an attorney in this case, I was aware that I was very emotional and could be taken advantage of. Initially I was guarded with Frank, but soon realized that although he was dedicated to this case, he was also willing to come away with less (for him and me), if it meant a faster resolution and less emotional toll for me (if that's what I wanted). He has helped me stand up for myself and fight for what I believe in and what I believe my grandmother wanted for me.

We had unfortunately hired a “crooked” contractor for a major remodel. He over-charged us (per the contract), did some shoddy work, and then when I called his bluff on the over-charging, he put a lien on our home. Dan understood the situation, got his head around the case, and took us on quickly. They only did the necessary work, but they did it right! End of the day, the court ruled in our favor, with everything going our way.

I had a property dispute with neighbors of mine, and was put in a state of panic from not knowing what my rights were or what I could do. I contacted Mr. Goldstein on a referral from a paralegal friend of our family, and he was more than helpful. He set up a meeting while on vacation and thoroughly reviewed all of my supporting documentation. He even dug deeper on specifically referenced documents to make absolutely sure we were in the right. He was reassuring and precise, and made the process much less stressful than I anticipated it to be. As part of a group of homeowners who purchased townhomes unaware there were unknown defects, I was very skeptical when I found out that the HOA didn't have funds set aside to cover the cost of the needed repairs. We, the current homeowners, were going to be responsible to pay for the repairs, and ti was determined they were builder defects. Dan was hired to represent myself and the other homeowners, and through his thorough fact finding and persistence in representing our cause, he was able to quickly set up an arbitration appointment and at that first and only meeting, we reached a settlement! Roger was meticulous in discovery and in studying the Fair Credit Act in order to ascertain the viability of our case as well as the probability of a favorable judgment. He helped us understand our position and the potential pitfalls if we pursued the suit.

I could not have been happier with the service I received from Larry. I really appreciate his calm, level-headed demeanor. I used Steve a number of years ago to fight an insurance company on my behalf. He did a great job and forced the company to pay what they should have. The insurance company fought back as well, even trying some quasi-ethical tactics to intimidate Steve and me. Steve stuck to it and got me paid. He was appropriately aggressive and also realistic and I was able to get a good settlement. I would use him again.

Jason took my call and we visited about a very difficult case. He was encouraging and supportive and absolutely amazing. We were approached by a neighbor with an interest in leasing our pasture for a recreational cannabis farm operation (now legal in Oregon). Given the potential contract, land use and legal issues with such an arrangement we contacted Fritz. He reviewed the lease agreement offered by the proposed tenant, provided advice to us about this and provided recommended revisions. He did a thorough and timely job and offered excellent advice. I've had the privilege of hiring Fritz twice for legal issues dealing with my home. On the first occasion, Fritz's advice on a potential property line dispute helped save me nearly $2000 in surveying fees.
On the second occasion, Fritz was the first person to catch that a contractor had missed a critical deadline when filing a construction lien on my home. Because of this, we were able to demand that the contractor release the lien. This saved us from the nightmare of having to go to court, and also prevented us from being forced to pay an unscrupulous contractor who had done bad work.
