Well. I hired a big name lawyer SB office when I got hit by a drunk driver in 2022. After wasting a year and a half and being told that it's a waste of time, I fired them and called Kepes & Wine.
I should've went with them first! Not only did they go above and beyond. They kept me informed every step of the way. They worked solidly on my case. They had it wrapped up in less than a year!
I am extremely grateful for the due diligence of this company!

Kepes & Wine PC took my less than ideal case that was turned down by a large law firm. I had pre-existing injuries from a car accident a decade prior that accelerated after a recent crash. They were thorough, professional, and family oriented. I felt like Rob was my big brother during my deposition. Sherry is diligent and responds quickly even through email. Their firm suffered what must have amounted to a tremendous loss this year with the death of a beloved attorney that kept in contact with me durning the early part of my case. I didn't know it until several months later because in their professionalism, they kept the ball moving. I would 100% recommend this firm to represent people that I care about. They'll do their very best to fight for you to be treated fairly in a system that's not set up to be fair to you.

Upon introduction I found Ms. Franulic and her staff to be quite professional and attentive. After paying her retainer and initiating my case their services immediately took a turn for the worst. Ms. Franulic and her staff quite often did not answer the phone during business hours, did not return voice messages, nor emails. After several calls and emails, I would get an annoyed response 1-2 weeks later from one of her staff members only to schedule a phone call with Ms. Franulic. At the scheduled appointment time there was no call from Ms. Franulic or her staff, and of course when I called the office there was no answer, again all during business hours. I also discovered that Ms. Franulic’s lack of professionalism extended to the opposing attorney. Often, documents arrived beyond the requested time, if they arrived at all, and Ms. Franulic and or her staff were lackluster in responding to emails and calls from the opposing attorney. I made several unresponsive attempts to remediate my concerns with Ms. Franulic. I am not writing this to speak to Ms. Franulic’s knowledge and or legal skill, this is specifically about her lack of professionalism and communication which is equally important when paying for services. I would not recommend her to anyone.

Retained this attorney after being referred by a family friend who’s also an attorney. She seemed sincere and knowledgeable initially but things fell apart fairly quickly. Communication was pretty non-existent. She didn’t respond to the courts on time for any motion. She was late to court and even no-showed twice. The day of a friend of the court hearing she was 3 hours late because she went to her own doctors appointment due to her being pregnant and I had no clue. She did not perform any discovery on my ex-husband which led me to getting absolutely nothing out of my divorce. She never answered her phone or returned calls. Then after months of terrible service she tried to quit right before my divorce was final and told me I owed her money but she never even sent me a bill, invoice, nothing. I refused to sign off on her quitting. I never saw or her from her again. Her assistant met me and had me sign my divorce decree documents in Walmart parking lot. I never received my divorce documents to this day 4 years later.

I hired Bernadine Trout in 2019 regarding an auto accident. She said she prayed and decided to take my case. But she didn't tell me or explain to me that it would-be a single party case. This apparently meant that she would not deal at all with my Progressive Auto Insurance. In 2020 I was notified that my case was closed because the other party did not hear from my attorney. I contacted Ms. Trout and she said she would contact them. I was no longer able to continue physical or mental therapy. I also contacted Progressive Auto and they told me that since I had obtained an attorney they would have to speak with my attorney. I called Ms. Trout and informed her what my insurance told me and she said that she would call them. Ms Trout never contacted my insurance resulting in in loosing thousands of dollars that could of been used for my therapy and personal care. The deadline to file my law suit in court was in August 2021.
Ms. Trout filed my lawsuit approximately June 2021 . She had me calling her repeatedly and worrying.
I was in distress. She lied to me and cause me more emotional trauma. I terminated Ms. Trout. I do not recommend for anyone.
She deserves negative stars

We had a 45 min consultation, a 15 min phone call followed by a 20 minute phone call. We had no idea that every second of each phone call was being billed out at $480/hour. Long story short they charged us $1740 for a Zoom Consultation, 2 phone calls and an email. And they said that price included things that they didn’t charge for as well, as if they were giving us a break at that price. I feel like they threw the charges at us only because we were no longer working with them. They quoted us 6-8k for the visa and they did about 5% of the work and billed us $1740? Something doesn’t add up. Unfair billing practices!
I don’t expect them to work for FREE but $1740 for an email, 2 phone calls and a consultation is ridiculous.
I would highly suggest you go elsewhere where they are more transparent with their prices.
We are out the $1740 but it’s probably best as there quote of 6-8k would probably end up being 10-14k.

We talked it over and decided to go with them. We had a few more questions about the process in the next following days and we had told them we were going to go through with it and pay a retainer. After the first initial email we got from them me and my wife decided that we were no longer interested in pursuing that visa. Not because of the law firm but we decided that it was too risky of business for us and decided not to proceed. I sent them an email saying I was sorry and no longer wanted to proceed and apologized for wasting there time and that I was going to pay them for there time they had spent on our file.
We had a 45 min consultation, a 15 min phone call followed by a 20 minute phone call. We had no idea that every second of each phone call was being billed out at $480/hour. Long story short they charged us $1740 for a Zoom Consultation, 2 phone calls and an email. And they said that price included things that they didn’t charge for as well, as if they were giving us a break at that price. I feel like they threw the charges at us only because we were no longer working with them. They quoted us 6-8k for the visa and they did about 5% of the work and billed us $1740? Something doesn’t add up. Unfair billing practices!
I don’t expect them to work for FREE but $1740 for an email, 2 phone calls and a consultation is ridiculous.
I would highly suggest you go elsewhere where they are more transparent with their prices.
We are out the $1740 but it’s probably best as there quote of 6-8k would probably end up being 10-14k.
