Aimee Lin helped us with a very stressful, employment law matter. Before deciding to hire Aimee, we had another legal consultation, but we immediately felt at ease with Aimee and moved forward with her. She'll calmly assess the strengths and weaknesses of your case. She'll put you at ease, not in an emotional crutch kind of way, but by bringing her vast experience in employment and contract law to bear on your case. Aimee was reassuring, articulate, knowledgeable, and very committed to developing the absolute best legal arguments for us. She presented many solid legal strategies. She communicated with us throughout our engagement and was super responsive to our questions. Being involved in litigation is terribly stressful, especially for the uninitiated. A few months ago, my job laid me off without notice. They handed me a 14 page document to read and sign full of legal jargon. Feeling uneasy about signing these papers a friend recommended Aimee to me. Not only did Aimee attend to my needs, but she took the time to go through the document page by page. She explained to be what the job was requesting and negotiated on my behalf for different terms. Not wanting to have any contact with the company Aimee did all communication on my behalf. By the end of the negotiation I received more money than what was originally offered to me.
I am not recommending Aimee because she got me more money. I am recommending her because it was clear that my needs were her first priority. She is detailed oriented, trustworthy and caring. Needless to say she is also a phenomenal lawyer. It is without doubt that I would 100% endorse her to anyone.

Brigette Eagan may be described as a hidden gem. She may not be as well known yet, but once she represents you in a case, you quickly realize how fortunate you are to have her on your team.
Brigette represented my company in several employment discrimination matters. We faced significant liability if the plaintiffs were successful in establishing their cases. She showed excellent leadership and judgment by developing a defensive strategy and guiding her team of lawyers and paralegals throughout the course of the litigation. Ultimately we were successful thanks in large part to her persistent dedication.
Brigette is always professional and treats everyone, clients, co-workers and adversaries, with dignity and respect. She is extremely responsive, returning phone calls and emails in a timely manner. I came to trust her advice and relied on her extensively. A few things really impressed me about her. First, she has a profound understanding of employment law. Although she has only been practicing for about 10 years, to listen to her talk you would think she has been doing this for decades. Second, she cares deeply for her clients. Client service is a top priority for her as evidenced by all of the tireless work she put into our cases. Third, the quality of her work is unparalled. This review is for the office of Devero Taus and specifically Greg Devero. In my review I would like to not only offer my A++ and or 5** review to the team at Devero Taus but also offer some personal advice of what I learned along the way in having dealt with an unsavory employer.
I took my case to several firms and they were either short, rude, condescending or all of the above. When I brought my case to Greg Devero my case points were listened to by another attorney and then brought to the attention of Greg Devero personally. Here is the #1 thing he did that sets him apart: HE LISTENED WITHOUT JUDGEMENT AND ALSO PAID CLOSE ATTENTION AND ASKED ALL THE RIGHT QUESTIONS.
He took my case on contingency while others asked for retainers I couldn't afford while I was in a weak period after suffering a job loss. And so the 3 year journey began.
For any person looking to take on an employer the office of Greg Devero offered the most sage and valuable advice along every step of the way. Here are some key takeaways they offered which proved to be invaluable.
1. MAKE A TIMELINE - I cannot stress how valuable this is. Time flies and 3 months becomes 1 year and if your opponent is covered under insurance you will be asked 100x the same series of events and a consistent timeline proves very valuable in the long haul. During discovery the documents that coincide with your timeline should not be lost due to lack of creating a formal DATED TIMELINE.
2. Be patient. My case involved smoking gun evidence and while you may think this makes things cut and dry it doesn't necessarily speed up the process. Law is often a game of patience and while you never know how long it will be played you certainly get comfort knowing what inning your in. Devero Taus is EXCELLENT at explaining timelines for motions and procedures.

Skill to help me leave my emotion at the doorstep and skill to help me focus on points that are undeniably strong.
5. GREG DEVERO HAS QUALITY BEDSIDE MANNERS AND HELPS YOU GET YOUR LIFE BACK. At times I'm fairly certain my hot running emotion drove him mad, he kindly cut me short APPROPRIATELY and kept me on task. I learned to trust his high quality judgement. I received weekend calls from him personally to review my case and keep me abreast of next steps so I always knew where I stood in the process
