I will not go into details on what my case was about but it was not something simple like a speeding ticket. From day one, he assured me that he would do everything in his power to help me. He sounded very sincere and genuinely wanting to help me instead of other lawyers i talked with that just wanted money or to get an "win" under his/her belt. When i came in, i had no hope, he gave me my life back. He took the case even though it was not in his area of expertise. He had so many positive professional contacts that he was able to talk to them and help me a lot. I owe Mr. McConnell everything, he feels like family now because of how everything was handled from beginning to end. He is an incredible lawyer and i can not recommend him enough. There is no case to small or to big for him and his team. Give him a try and it might just be the very best decision that you will ever make.

We hired Mr. McConnell when my wife was involved in an accident in Memphis, TN. He did everything he could for us until the other party would not even try to settle. Since he did not have a Tennessee license, he referred us to an attorney in Memphis to finish out our case. He is a really good attorney who knows what he is doing.

While I didn't use this law firms services; I've been paying attention to someone who did. Unfortunately that person doesn't seem to want to have a successful outcome to their case. They seem to be focused on causing additional drama because they're unwilling to do simple things? It's saddening...

After calling to dozens of law firms asking if someone could help me with a case, I called Cox Law firm asking if they could help, before I finished the story, the secretary asked me to wait so she could find me an attorney who could better guide me. That’s when she put Attorney name Paul on the phone. He listened to me. He asked if we had a lawyer and even when I said yes, he continued listening and asking questions. He asked me to send him an email with info he needed to assess the case. I did and he called me shortly after telling me the next steps I needed to take to pursue justice. Paul acted like no other lawyer in Lake Charles did. He listened even when he knew he couldn’t take the case and he still read a 12 page report and called me back to guide me. I had an auto accident on March 13, 2020, during which I suffered catastrophic injuries. On March 18, 2020, I hired Mr. D' Aunoy Jr. as my attorney.
Immediately a problem emerged. My attorney refused to file a claim in court despite my numerous requests to do so, without explanation. Only in response to a written threat of dismissal, he did so during the last day of December.
According to our contract, my attorney was supposed to receive 33.3% of "the amount recovered before the deduction of "costs and expenses". Mr. D' Aunoy has never revealed what exactly expenses he had in mind until June 10, 2021, when he had received a settlement offer from the defendants. Then and only then, he has explained via email that he had in mind medical expenses, thus violating a clause in our contract that no party to the agreement can amend the contract "without consent of ...the client". Thus, Mr. D' Aunoy deceived me.
My attorney manipulated me into receiving medical services (MRI worth $3, 000 at 33% interest) and costly physical therapy, although I could have received physical therapy at my health club for a mere $57 a month. He insisted on my going to doctors and physical therapists to document my injuries because, he claimed, "nobody will believe you". Today deception became obvious. The purpose of his "legal" advice was to inflate medical expenses in order to increase his take in any compensation for my injuries and diminish mine.
Mr. D' Aunoy repeatedly refused to send me the defendant's settlement offer, thus denying me an opportunity to make an informed choice. He has attempted to sell me for $13.50 the police report of the accident that I had sent him last year free of charge. He loaned me $3,000.00 at the 33% rate of interest to pay for the MRI procedure without my knowledge or request. The same goes for $500.00 for filing the lawsuit and for $400.00 at 33% interest for the Orthopedic Evaluation Deposit, without my knowledge and permission. Also, Mr. D'Aunoy charged me for bills he received from my medical providers - the documents that I had received from them free of charge.
Because I was very unhappy with the way my attorney handled my case, I repeatedly asked him to step aside. He ignored my requests. So, I terminated him on Sept. 30. Also, I have filed a complaint against him with the Lousiana Attorney Disciplinary Board.
Mr. D'Aunoy was ignoring my wishes consistently, thus ignoring the primacy of the client's interests. His preferred medium of communication was silence. He showed no morals. He was afraid of going to trial. I was relieved by his departure.

He is personable, patient, understanding, compassionate, empathetic to the clients needs and exercises honesty and integrity.

Don't fall for this lawyer! She offers payment plans and then I ended up paying double. She doesn't let her clients know about excessive phone calls to other party's lawyer.
I would never recommend this lawyer to anyone as I don't feel I can trust her after my experience. I also didn't appreciate her bad mouthing the other party as a way to get in my good side.

Not even sure how this man passed the Bar exam. Never followed up. Never returned my calls. Barely spoke with him on the phone. He had my case for almost 2 years and I’d get the exact same response I got the last time. I don’t think he even tried to help my case. It was a Lemon Law case that resulted in an accident and putting myself, as well as my significant other and two children in the hospital for. I had EVERY piece of evidence that the vehicle (which was sold by NISSAN btw) that it was DANGEROUS. It was a salvage title that Nissan “fixed.” The whole gram was bent. EVERY mechanic I brought it to said it was dangerous. Well... turns out... it was! Almost killed me!!! THANKS MICHAEL BREEDEN.... FOR NOTHING!!!! You know who I am! You should be hearing from the Bar Association now that I have Hospital bills from the vehicle that I told you OVER AND OVER AGAIN WAS DANGEROUS! DO NOT USE THIS MAN! HE DOES NOTHING! His office is so unorganized. He trips over everything. I often wondered if he was even drunk or on drugs when I’d see him... WHEN ID SEE HIM!
