Attorney Veronis ("Niko") is the BEST! We hired him after my husband was kicked in the head by a horse in a car accident. Yes, bizarre. I didn't know where to turn. I was confused about the law and our rights. My husband was seriously injured. A friend and colleague recommended Attorney Veronis. I called and left a message. Within hours, he called back and talked on the phone with us, explaining everything. The next day we went to his office, had an excellent conversation in which he clearly outlined our options and put us at ease. My sincere thanks to Nicholas Veronis and his staff for helping me and my family when I found myself in need of a lawyer as a result of a horrific bicycle accident. We were in uncharted waters and had no idea what to do. From his initial visit to the skilled nursing facility (where I resided for 4 months totally bedridden) to the rehab hospital and to visiting me at my sister's home where I continued my convalescence until I was able to return to my own home, Niko's personal concern for my well-being and recovery/rehab efforts never waivered. I had been hurt in an accident. The court case was long exhausting and depressing when my life was falling apart. The attorney who won the case shifted careers and he recommended Attorney John T. Hofrichter for the continuing issues with SWIF. Those issues never seem to stop. My orthopedic doctor died during an appeal trial from SWIF. It threw my case out of the timeline for the next hearing. Attorney Hofrichter handled the court while I searched for a new doctor which was hard due to the nature of my accident and injuries. The other insurance companies involved had sent me to multiple ortho surgeons before they would pay out making these doctors have a conflict of interest issue. It was a nightmare. My injury was bad, even years later I was struggling through therapy and X-rays. SWIF makes everything worse, I felt like I was crying all the time and depression was and still is a battle for me. But Attorney Hofrichter told me this would continue to happen as long as I was on SWIF's compensation. He was right. He has had to defend me at least 4x in a court trial since I won my case. I will not settle with SWIF for the pittance they have repeatedly offered. I must constantly fill out paperwork and see an IME, always with the knowledge I will be taken back to court. My injury is not a vague "I hurt" injury. It was severe, it continues to worsen as I get older. My medical records are graphic and extensive. If SWIF had taken my first response for settlement they wouldn't still be paying me, 26 years later, and they'd have saved money. Attorney Hofrichter has told them this very same thing. He has defended me so fiercely that the previous case worker, who told me in a letter to call him, hung up the phone on me and said a few other choice words about me and my attorney. I would recommend Attorney Hofrichter to anyone facing a workers' comp case with SWIF. He's well versed in what you need to know and do. He's trustworthy, honest, hardworking, and willing to be blunt about your chances in court. Plus, his compensation isn't excessive. It was significantly lower than other attorneys I contacted and there were many of them.

I worked with Goldsmith & Ogrodowski, LLC. for a few years. Even after a few years, I had to go check and make sure I had the name of their Law Firm correct. I know them by their first names, Fred, Rich and Heather. My 5 year nightmare started while working on a towboat as a deckhand, I was severely injured. After surgery and about 6 months, I tried going back to work. I didn't like where things were headed. I just wasn't able to do the same work as before. I still had so many issues. At the time, I had never had to call an attorney. I didn't know which way to go. It took a lot of time and thought before I finally made that decision. I now know that it was the right decision. My case was very complicated and took many years. Fred was my attorney, He worked tirelessly on my case. It felt as if I was his only client. It also felt like I was a part of his family.
They even treated my fiancée and kids like family.
I've had Fred call me at 8-9 p.m. and he was still working on my case. I could call or text any time with questions or concerns and he always responded quickly. It was never an issue. The amount of experience in this firm is amazing. Fred and Rich are the best at what they do. Very knowledgeable. This injury changed my life, forever. Fred understood that. Fred and co. helped my mother first, then my brother and I as co-executors, hold a large company responsible for damages to our family-built riverside property. I really don't have the words to properly express to my dedicated & relentless law firm. My lawyers worked hard & tireless to get justice, fair & equal treatment for me in my accident case of 2019. The accident left me totally permanently disabled. I ended up with a total of 14 major injuries in my body.
I was totally disrespected by all levels including law enforcement in the area where the accident took place. The attending officer didn't report the facts surrounding the airbag deployment in my transport. The ambulance service, didn't apply appropriate medical equipment like a neck support or a back brace, I had major injuries in the neck & spine as well as 7 other areas of the body. The hospital that I was taken to for treatment & care was a disaster. There was no licensed physician on duty in the entire emergency room. I was not checked out properly in a fully licensed emergency room at a fully accredited & licensed hospital in 2019, whoever heard of such poor treatment & care in a fully functional hospital.
My case was truly a very long hard & difficult case made so intentionally by workers comp claims adjuster & attorneys, only to be proven wrong by my attorneys that really knew how to professionally take All! of the right steps in the right order to prove my case.

When your heart is broken, due to the unexpected loss of a loved one, it can be difficult to find the strength to deal with the crisis and legal difficulties that ensue.
Veronica, by way of her dedication and compassion, helped to provide focus and guidance. She dealt professionally with every aspect and shielded the family from any unnecessary distressing interactions.
The legal process can be trying especially when it involves the revisiting the death of a loved one. The defendant’s attorney drags the issue out as long as possible, trying to force a speedy settlement.
Veronica remained diligent in the pursuit of reparations. While we became a little anxious for the case to end, Mrs. Richards kept on plowing through the evidence and worked with medical experts to strengthen the case. This case drug on for about 3 years, never once did she sway, bend or waiver.
The quick way out was not an option.
Thank God for Veronica, while nothing can bring my daughter back, I know that the educational future of my grandchildren is intact and I credit this to Mrs. Richards. Thank you for all that you have done for us. I do not believe that anyone could have ever done a better job!
