Perna & Abracht LLC Law Offices is one of the best places you can go for your divorce, custody and support matters. I specifically worked with Ryan Borchik. Ryan is the best family law attorney I have ever worked with. From our first meeting, he explained everything to me in terms I could easily understand and was always very responsive when I had questions outside of our meetings. He is very professional and he genuinely cared and he did all the “fighting” for me so I could do more of the “relaxing” in this difficult process. He helped me accomplish what I was looking for in my divorce, custody and support matters.
I interacted with most of the staff at Perna & Abracht and they all conducted themselves, the same way that Ryan did!!! One of the things that I loved about this law firm and what I really appreciated about Ryan, is that everyone still has the family values that are extremely important when they are assisting you in your legal matters instead of just a “business transaction” like the rest of the law firms out there. When I was suffering from the depths of PTSD which was acutely exacerbated by an auto mobile accident and the ill effects of a concussion sustained from the same auto mobile accident, which was not my fault, I became unable to work or even care for myself. Miriam was recommended to me by a good friend that worked under her while in law school. The prospect of my collecting anything seemed slim at the outset. I was hit by a car while riding my bike and the car took off. I had significant injuries to my face and head. I didn't think there was anything I could do in this situation, but my friend insisted and I went to see Miriam. She listened to all of the specifics and was very honest in her assessment of what to expect, which was little. That did not stop her and her assistant from chipping away day after day, week after week. They would get in touch with me whenever they needed more information or my signatures for the release of documents, but otherwise handled everything. Very professional, caring and competent. After a number of months (this amount of time was due to my sometimes unresponsive nature) she had established a line of communication and a compelling argument for collection from the uninsured motorist clause of my mother's automotive insurance. At this point, the gentleman representing the insurance company wanted to conduct a phone interview with Miriam and myself. She walked me through this process, with pre-interview counseling and conducted the entire interview on speaker phone, stepping in when she felt it was in my best interest. A few days later she got an offer for a substantial portion of the injury limit. She gave me the pros and cons of accepting the offer and her professional judgement as to whether accepting this offer would leave money on the table. I asked her to counter offer, which she did with apparent skill and we settled for 96% of limit of the insurance. If you find yourself injured, you'd be doing yourself a serious disservice not to use Miriam. She won't leave a stone unturned in making sure you get reimbursement for your damages.

Miriam Barish represented my Mother in a case where her foot got stuck in a defective pavement, causing her to fall. She broke her femur, and also had major bruising on her face. We felt that Miriam was very compasionate, and did a great job handling her case. She always returned calls and e-mails, and kept us both informed as the case progressed. My Mother was happy with her settlement that Miriam was able to get her. She also did a great job dealing with the insurance company. Some time after the settlement, she called my Mother just to see how she was doing. I would highly recommend Miriam Barish.

I would highly recommend Albert Joseph Evans for a car accident injury. I was hit in the rear end of my car. I did not know my next step. Who do I call and who do I talk to. The car insurance for the lady that hit me kept calling me. She wanted me to take a settlement of my week wages that I missed due to injury. I now walked with a limp and was in pain 24/7. I went through 6 months of pt that were not helpful. I then went for pain management and had 3 injection in my back. He was understanding and knowledgeable about car accident injuries. He let me know who to talk to and who not. First thing is to stop answer the phone calls except by him and my doctors. I found out about all the car insurance rules for the state of pa. He walked me through the jury picking on my case. Explained to me step by step what he was going to ask the people for the jury. He help explain all the details of going to trail of pros and cons. He did explain the arbitration also. It is important you know all your avenues for your case to decide what way you want to go with it. Know that you have no chose but to have a major surgery done on your back and live with this the rest of your life. I am glad I had albert for my case with all his knowledge with car accidents.

Through no fault of my own, I found myself embroiled in a complicated multi-level governmental personal injury case. I was struck by a vehicle driven by a municipal employee assigned to a federal task force. I suffered significant serious injuries and loss of work time as well as property damage. I faced a legal battle against a defendant with unlimited financial resources as well as teams of experienced attorneys. In addition, the legality in governmental cases is quite complicated.

While riding his bicycle, my husband, Chris, was hit by a car whose driver ran a red light. Chris sustained serious injuries, and we knew that we needed to contact a lawyer to help us protect Chris's future, which will probably be full of pain. Mr. Mayro, Worked very hard for me all though my case, he even helped me with my property damage, not many if any, other attorneys will do that. He kept me very informed and up to date on my case. Their was not a month that went by that we did not speak. He also recommended the best treatment. I have worked with large firms in the past who rarely ever spoke to me and never gave me answers to most questions. I first met Stephen over two years ago and his knowledge in Personal injury Law which he has shared with me is incredible.
