Not a lot of experience with the criminal system, but professional, thoughtful, and respectful it is not. However, was blessed to hire team Zahra Umansky and Andrea who very much are and gave me comfort my case was in good hands. The system is imperfect to the nth degree, so it is important to hire professionals who manage the details, care about their client, and don't pre-judge you on baseless charges you have no ability to address on your own. This was my first time involved with the criminal justice system and I was very apprehensive and nervous. After some careful research, I chose the Umansky firm. When, after a preliminary interview, I received a phone call from Mr. Umansky to make sure everything was to my satisfaction, I knew I had made the best selection. My attorney, Zahra Umansky, explained the legal process that I would go through in detail. I was informed by her of any changes or developments that happened during preliminary hearings on the day they occurred. Any plea options that were available to me, and their consequences, were explained to me thoroughly. This allowed me to make an informed decision on the most advantageous plea to present to the prosecuting attorney and judge. After my court appearance, attorney Umansky accompanied me through the courthouse to make sure I located the proper office to complete the judicial process. Andrea Edge, attorney Umansky’s legal assistant, was very efficient in keeping communications open between myself and my attorney. She arranged phone conferences, sent me any documents that I needed to view or take action upon by e-mail. An e-mail was always sent me to confirm appointment dates and times. Ms. Edge would follow up with a phone as a reminder of date and time. I have no reservations in recommending the Umansky Law firm for their legal expertise, concern for their client’s welfare and the peace of mind they provide.
