Mr. Ellis, Carey, and Dawn helped me through a very scary and difficult time. They were always available to answer questions and just plain support. This office is compassionate and kind, I was never made to feel uncomfortable with the process. I would highly recommend Mr. Ellis and staff if you need help!!

After meeting with several other attorneys, Mr. Ellis was my choice to handle what could have been a very nasty case. From the beginning he handled all my issues and concerns with professionalism, courtesy and a caring manner. He and his wonderful staff put my mind at ease and handled my case beyond my expectations. I would strongly recommend Mr. Ellis and if I ever need legal representation again in the future, he's the only one I'll be calling! Thank you, Mr. Ellis

Worst lawyer I have ever dealt with. Neither he nor his staff answers or returns phone calls for months on end. Be prepared to shuffle back and forth to his office to obtain any written information, as he will not spring for a stamp. Do not leave any important documents with him, as he lost mine. Mr. Ellis has very limited knowledge of bankruptcy laws. Once he takes your money, you will never hear from him again. Do not have any expectation that he will represent you in court. I had a "stranger" to represent me, who knew nothing about my case and showed up late.

In 2011 Ellis represented me in a bankruptcy case without incident. Even though he, himself was absent from the courtroom the case was resolved favorably. Two years later I retained him to represent me when foreclosure proceedings were filed against me. I was able to work with the bank and together we modified my loan, thereby closing my foreclosure case before much of anything happened. Ellis filed one motion in the entire case before it was resolved. I contacted him asking for a detail account of the expenses he incurred on my behalf and a partial refund of my retainer which was not used. I have been leaving voice mails, emails, and sending letters for over 6 months now, and he hasn't had the decency to respond even once. Not even enough consideration to explain to me what charges he incurred or to explain why he is not refunding any of my retainer. His refusal to respond indicates his guilt, for if he is in the right, an explanation or return call is a reasonable request.

Being completely discouraged by several attorneys I visited seeking advice, representation and a plan to overcome the extreme hardship I experienced , I finally met Mr. Ellis. He has spent a generous amount of time reviewing my situation and the ton of documents I presented, and after considering all my options, gave me his recommendation, and agreed to represent me. What a relief that was! From the first moment on, he handled my case with the utmost confidence, knowledge, expertise and professionalism. His responsiveness during our proceedings was outstanding. My case, that several other attorneys declined to take on, ended with the most favorable outcome, for which I will always be thankful.

I would highly recommend Richard V Ellis. I was hit hard by the financial downturn in 2008 and it was financially devastating. Richard handle my personal bankruptcy in excess of $50,000,000.00. He did so in a superb, professional and caring manor. It was one year from the time my bankruptcy was filed until my discharge and he handle each meeting, crisis, and need in more than a professional way but in a way that showed he cared. I know that I was directed to him my a higher power and words can not express how I feel about his handling of my case and helping me navigate through the most challenging financial crisis of my life. He gave me the courage to realize this was only a detour along the journey.

Mr. Ellis handled my bankruptcy and I thought it would just be routine, but nothing about a bankruptcy is routine. I was actually able to talk with Mr. Ellis when I had questions, and his office staff was very nice and professional. Mr. Ellis took the time to negotiate specific items including my mortgage issue directly with the bank, which resulted in me ultimately getting to keep my home and even have some reduced payment. I don't know how he did it all, but I am pleased with the results.

I would highly recommend Richard V. Ellis and his firm. I found Mr. Ellis to be very informative and communicative. Additionally he was uplifting and certainly not condescending. He sincerely offered a clear presentation of all the available alternatives and made a concerted ongoing effort to insure that all of my needs were met and taken care of. His fees were extremely fair and he often went well beyond the necessary to assist and represent me in my case, as well as explain varied strategies that could be employed in my case as well as the possible outcomes. I found him to be an extremely good attorney in his practice, but more importantly, a human being who felt true concern for his clients and their well being. He is without a doubt, an excellent attorney.
