After interviewing three attorneys, I decided to hire Scott Smiley to represent me in my divorce case after a marriage of 30 years. The discovery process required a lot of research and information gathering from me. My Mother died during this period, which required me to delay delivery of the discovery materials to Scott's office. He and his assistant, Colleen, were very kind, understanding, and patient. I found this very helpful. On the day before my mediation, Scott and I sat in his office where Scott set my mind at ease by explaining my options, and what to expect during the mediation, which reduced the stress and uncertainty that had been keeping me awake at night. During the actual mediation process is where Scott's professional prowess became obvious. He was there not only to represent me, but also mainly to protect my interests and rights. I felt like I was with a friend who acted as a guardian. The opposing attorney is rumoured to be a good attorney. However from my experience, I will say this: If lawyering were horse racing, I'd cast my bet on Smiley to win every time. (I almost feel sorry for the opposing side.) If you are looking for a divorce attorney to represent you, I highly recommend you hire Scott Smiley, before your future ex does.

Short version: I'd definitely recommend them, but make sure to double read your documents and don't be shy about following up and you will have a perfect experience! Full review: We used this lawfirm for our end of life planning (last will, living will, healthcare surrogate, and power of attorney). The firm did a great job when we were getting started: we filled out a questionnaire they sent, scheduled a phone call and got all of our questions answered. It was a 5-star experience! The signing of the papers was also a 5-star experience: we came in, were expected, hosted in a board room. The staff was nice and the whole thing took 30 minutes, even with our getting all of our questions answered. The reason I went down to 4 stars was the part in between: getting the papers ready. After the phone call/sending back the questionnaire/scheduling the signing, we didn't hear anything for weeks - someone dropped the ball on telling us how to pay (life happens), which halted everything. When the ceremony was coming up, we asked about it and were told that they had drafted documents and we're waiting for our payment (we had not been given payment instructions). Once we made the payment, we got our document drafts but I don't think that the drafts had been ready beforehand: there were lots of typos and my husband's name still had the previous client's name on one of the documents. We reviewed the documents and brought up these edits in a reply via email. The staff took it very well and made the edits without asking any questions/while being very nice. It made us laugh to read a random name when we looked at the documents but we were glad we didn't sign blindly.

I had the great pleasure working with Mr Crawford and his law firm was polite and offered great customer service and Mr Crawford was fast in he replies and did a wonderful job for what I needed done I will most definitely be a returning customer if I ever need a lawyer in the future I highly recommend him to handle your legal issues GREAT EXPERIENCE AND GREAT PEOPLE

Early Monday morning I called and had excellent experience with Billy Crawford. He was helpful and went above and beyond to give me professional advice on how to resolve my issue.

We had put off taking care of our wills, durable powers of attorney, health care ...forever. UNTIL we met Thomson, Crawford and Smiley ....( a referral by Rick Theobald. our Financial Advisor) The process was started by Rebecca who eased our nervousness and set our minds at ease. We started the progress, answered our questions, reassured us that it would be just what we wanted.
