I have now used Chance and his office for the 2nd time in my lifetime. In all the times I have transacted with Mr. McGhee it has always turned out to the best. He is very professional and makes things easy to understand. His assistant Lisa is great from the first meeting and explainging the process. To the meeting with Mr. McGhee and having to make a LOT of copies of my records. Only to find out later they were not needed and having to remove all the staples from what I brought. The only reason i’m leaving even 2 stars is because my case won. Other than that, i’ve had a poor experience with Atlas/Sulaiman law. The customer service and communication through this firm is honestly sad and extremely unprofessional.
I had a case for discrimination and harassment in the workplace.
At first everything went smoothly and I had no questions or concerns, but I noticed that once I did start to have questions, they were always ignored and left unanswered. My lawyer Travis also treats me like he could not be bothered & everything is a hassle. There is not a single time i’ve felt valued as a client. In fact, the opposing lawyers who took my deposition against their client treated me with more respect and friendliness than my team. How uncomfortable. If this is how the winning cases are treated, I could only imagine the losing ones.
From asking about attire for the deposition, to asking for a breakdown of totals, to asking how i will receive my check, to asking when I will receive my money- almost NONE of my emails or texts were returned, and if they were it’s because I was persistent in emailing and calling until I got a response. None of the inquiries I had were useless or outrageous. I am not a paralegal and therefore not well versed in the law, you would think that someone who was on your case would want you to be fully aware of what’s going on.
To add the cherry on top, my team received my check on the 18th of this month, this was after several unanswered emails asking whether the check would be direct deposit (as i was asked to provide my information), or physical check, if it would arrive to them first or me.
On the 20th I asked if i could pick the check up, if not how long it would take to be sent.
they provided me with extremely vague non-answers. “you’ll receive a tracking number 48-72 hours after we send you your check”
is not an answer to when will it be sent. When I tried again, it was left unreplied to as usual.
I would like to add that I did not have very many questions to begin with, but as the case closes, of course I would need to know more specific details. I was told on the 19th that the team would be sending my checks in the mail within the next few days.
It is about to be the 23rd, which makes 5 days after the check is received and I am still left with no response, no check, and no money that I was expecting for the holidays- a concern I expressed several times with no care given.
This firm will at the very minimum help you win, but the amount is whatever they decide. Standard lawyer fee is 33%, I was charged 40. After seeing the breakdown of the total, I realized that it’s honestly more like 50%. They will charge you 40%, but they don’t tell you that with filing and other fees are not included and equate to thousands of dollars on their own. My lawyers made about $60 less than I did.
I feel extremely taken advantage of and it makes me wonder if I was left in the dark on purpose. I only resorted to a review because I’m scared that this case will be left with no resolution for me. The people who are supposed to help me with my problems, aren’t. I’m not sure when or even if I will receive my money, but hey- at least all of my lawyers were able to buy all the gifts their hearts desired this holiday season. can’t say the same for me unfortunately.

We were victims of hurricane Ian. Our property insurance was with Slide Insurance. Their initial field adjuster was terrific and agreed that the roof needed replacement and the lanai screens repaired. Slide then sent 2 other field adjusters out to refute original adjuster claims and said damage was caused by poor maintenance by us. Well, enter Mike who guided us to a successful claim allowing us to replace the roof and other needed repairs. He was professional, personable and knowledgeable about how insurance companies operate. I would like to share my most positive experience regarding CalWest Law (Ali Nader).
I must say that Ali worked wonders for me in my bankruptcy case, I was scared and stressed before the outcome of my case. I had plenty of debt where as Ali Nader relieved my stresses, not only did he remove huge debt, he educated me on each step before committing to filing and through the accepted process. He was always available speaking directly with him, whether he was at court or in his office he always was there. I had a second and a third and it was amazingly removed freeing me of those predatory lenders. My life has been great and I am able tomaintain my life just from the education alone from Ali.
I recently contacted Ali Nader and he still remembered me without a charge, he educated me on some questions that I had. I LOVE Ali and his firm and I hope and pray that he will always be available (which I have no doubt). Lastly, very pleasant staff.

I hired Mr. Turner to assist me with a complicated claim due to a water leak from a unit above me due to negligence in the condo building I reside in. This matter became very contentious and lengthy involving HOA as well as owner of the unit that caused the damage. Throughout the entire process Mr. Turner remained professional, persistent, & was able to get the matter resolved with full policy limit payout from Insurance company. I would not recommend him to anyone. As a lawyer to my mother he did a very terrible job giving her false hope. Sharing information he was not suppose to with people that where not even involve in the case. He honestly works for the money hungry and not really caring much of the outcome as long as he gets paid. If I could give him 0 I would. Its not a false review.
