I had an accident in 2021. My case settled in 2022. I received part of the settlement because there were some negotiations that were still pending, and I understood this. I emailed Paula the negotiator in October of 2023, more than a year later, asking for a status update. She emailed back, stated she would call me but never called. I reached out to her in September 2024, we spoke a few times and I was told the request for the remaining settlement funds was sent to accounting on September 23rd. She asked me to call her back on September 25, which I did. No answer, I left a voicemail, no call back. I have called and left a message four times since then, I even requested a call back from management on October 28th. It’s November 6th, and I haven’t heard anything from anyone. I worked for a personal injury attorney for 4 years, so I know how this process goes. And in any line of business, it is unprofessional to ignore your clients and not return phone calls or follow up with any type of communication. I’m a very patient person, but at this point the patience has gone out the window. I know I’m not the only client they have, but someone being out of the office and/or a high caseload is not an excuse. I should not have to make numerous calls, leave messages and post a bad review in order to get them to do what they’re hired to do. The next move is consulting with ANOTHER attorney and then filing a State Bar of Georgia complaint. This is insane! Take my advice and find another law firm to use, all of them are not like this!
