We have worked withe Elaine Levine for several years. Quality work and very thorough. We very much appreciate how responsive she is to our needs on the items we have engaged her on, and her responsiveness for other legal needs in getting us connected with others who can assist us.

In working with Kwartin & Levine for over two years to prepare a will and serve as executor of an estate, I found Elizabeth Lawrence and her colleagues to be thorough, conscientious and compassionate. They recognize that every circumstance is unique and were diligent in attending to my family's needs. This firm does not use a cookie cutter approach; they exhibit laser-like focus on their clients' interests. I have enthusiastically recommended them several times.

I have had nothing but great experiences with KL&G. For years I had a standard will and felt that I had enough. As I gained more experience with life itself it became obvious that my need was greater than a simple will would accomplish efficiently. Through my investment advisor I learned of Elizabeth Lawrence and made an appointment for a consult. We had several pleasant sessions after which I felt that my estate would be handled as I designed it and according to my desires. The fee structure was reasonable and my estate plan is reviewed each year to have me conform with any new laws or requirements. I could not be more pleased and surely recommend the services of KL&G.

Last year Elizabeth Lawrence of Kwartin & Levine prepared a new will and other legal documents for us. Our previous documents were over 20 years old, obviously out of date. We interviewed several firms specializing in elder law and selected Liz for her professionalism, legal knowledge, and the interest she exhibited in our personal situation. The entire process from first visit to final signing of the documents went extremely well. She also follows up with us annually with changes in the law that potentially affect us and to see if any changes in our lives necessitate changes in the documents.

These folks have been there for our family, very aware of family legal needs as parents pass and siblings grow older. We’ve had several changes in status that include inheritance issues, physical moves, entry into memory care and more. Much has seemed daunting to us and without their help, particularly Elizabeth Lawrence with her kind and thorough oversight, we would have felt stymied at several turns. This entire organization communicates confidence, and a sincere willingness to take on this responsibility with care.

Alexa is absolutely wonderful - detailed, straightforward and honest. Unbeknownst to me, when I moved from Georgia to Arkansas and then back to Georgia a year later, new laws were put into place that required me to go before a judge to change my name. (Even though I had already been married for 7 years and already changed my name!) I was really stressed out trying to figure out the process but Alexa stepped in and made it a piece of cake. SO thankful to have that figured out and finally done! Thank you!

Alexa did an excellent job representing me in my divorce. She was very responsive and compassionate while making sure that all deadlines were met. She was very professional with opposing counsel. Alexa was a strong negotiator when it came to achieving a resolution. She obtained a better result than I could have realistically expected and obtained it faster than I expected, especially given the timing of it being over the holidays. I would recommend, and have already recommended, Alexa to others.

I was engaged to be married and had a close friend going through a terrible divorce that was threatening to ruin her financially. My friend and I are similar: strong, successful women. After seeing what her husband was putting her through, and how he was challenging her future, I discussed getting a prenup with my fiance, which he agreed to. I decided to hire Alexa to represent me through the drafting and negotiation of the prenup, and I couldn't be happier. My goal was to have a very fair, pragmatic agreement in place with my fiance about splitting our assets should things go south, so neither of us could be 'taken for everything' if the worst ever took place. I have never been married before, so this was a foreign (and a little bit scary) process for me. Alexa was invaluable to this process: - She was incredibly flexible and accommodating with the timeline. We ended up drafting this prenup only about 45 days before our wedding, and she explained the timeline needs to get this finalized in time to be valid. - She provided sample documents for me to understand what I needed to gather from my finances (and from my advisor) to get everything accounted for in the documentation. - Alexa helped me in one tough area with my fiance and his representation: the equity in my current home that was going to become a "marital asset." My Fiance and I disagreed how that should be accounted for - it was the one real tough part to get through. But Alexa was calm, rational, and helped us reach an agreement that was the most fair for both of us. - She was experienced. She advised what was really necessary in the document, and what wasn't because it's "already in the law." - Her follow through was a great addition. Because our prenup was filed so close before our wedding, she reached out after we were married and advised we complete a "post-martial endorsement." She explained that if we did ever need to rely on our prenup, because it was filed so close to the wedding, it might be seen as less reliable (like a hasty decision.) So she asked us to complete a very short doc, after we were married, to endorse that our prenup was still agreed to. - Alexa was incredibly reasonable on pricing, and even offered a discount as we were getting married. She called it a "congratulations" discount. Because we'd put her through a bit of a tough timeline, I felt it was extremely generous and it was very appreciated. Overall, I couldn't be happier with Alexa's guidance and expertise. I hope I don't need her again for this matter, but if I do, I wouldn't hesitate to have her represent me in another family law need.
